It's all good because Strawberry Scarlett stayed on top till the very end. Yes there is some salt in that statement. It was a fantastic event overall. I am thinking the manager was having a little bit of scare towards the beginning and during team assignments (hence not 5 stars). I get it, it's overwhelming expecting so many people. Hopefully in the end she was able to relax because everything was great. KEKE and Savannah (I hope I have her bae right) made up for some of that experience. They kept us hype during game time Saint Arnold was there along with J. Lohr wines and whithaven for our libations. But let's pause and talk about that Knead Me Bakery lemon scone. Escape in Time is a first rate escape room. Their very first escape room was "Sherlock vs. the…read moreIlluminati." Sherlock allows himself to be kidnapped to expose the Illuminati. It's in Spring, Texas which is in the Houston area near Woodland Hills. My husband and I were excited to test it out, and while we usually attempt escape rooms with at least four people, we tried this one with just two. I'm happy to say we escaped with ten minutes to spare, with a little help from our Game Master, Watson. The room has several kinds of puzzles to solve, including Sherlock's favorite--a cypher. As a Sherlock fan, the escape room was a blast, and I would highly recommend it, if you're in the area. I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner/designer Dave Garrison and he's a fun character, as well, and so clever with his designs. We came here for an outing with our church department leaders. We had a great time. The good news is that I know pretty much every one of our department leaders. So even though I didn't get to work with my husband or sister, I did end up with three other family members, our pastor, his mom, my bestie, and another friend. We all worked really well together and we made it out with not much time to spare. We had a few setbacks because one of the puzzles got messed up causing us to have to use a hint and also setting us back a little bit. Doesn't matter, we made it! We did the neon/black light room. It was fun... dark, of course, but very fun! There were two rooms involved so when you finished one, you had to do the other in order to escape. My husband's group did the stranger things themed room and I don't know anything about it because we can't share secrets of course (in case we go back and switch rooms) but I do know there were three rooms involved in theirs, and there was a demigorgon in one room. He said it was fun. We had a pretty large group so having 7 people in one group and 8 in the other might seem like too much, but it wasn't bad. I will say that the room we did could've been done with less people, but there weren't too many of us so it was fine. (I was in the group of 7.) Our guide was very friendly and helpful. He was knowledgeable and explained everything we needed to know ahead of time. I never knew this place was here. It's literally right across the Hwy from our church. I'm glad I know about it now because I would definitely come back here again, and I'm hoping we do something else like this in the future. I love escape rooms.

Davis was our leader and he was so eloquent explaining the rules to our rowdy group. I was impressed with all the different levels and rules and the ease he had explaining them. The game was challenging and we scrapped by with 9 mins left! We had to use two extra clues! We were challenged to say the least. The puzzles were so well designed and you didn't really need to know Stranger Things lore to participate. I loved how the Special FX in the room worked with the various activities. It was also fun to watch our family struggle and mock eachother in the beginning of the hour, but then come together as a team towards the end when time was running out. It was an awesome family experience and we have already decided that we will be back again to try another room.
