Came here on a Saturday morning at around 0900 and was surprised to see many families in and out of the quaint little shop. I was making a way to park and noticed a drive thru window! I pulled up and was greeted by an older gentleman who gave wonderful recommendations to this donut lover! I stopped by Heavenly Doughnuts one evening for a sweet treat--my first time back since my undergrad days--and it's just as good now as it was then! There wasn't anyone in line at the drive-thru, so the wait was super quick. Our dozen came out to about $20, which felt very reasonable for the quality. I spent way too many years living behind Heavenly Donut and smelling their baked goods in the middle of the night to not think of them when I want a donut. Be mindful - The drive thru is extremely slow. I believe it is the customers not knowing what they want most times vs the actual staff. Do yourself a favor and park your car, walk inside, order. Their Reece's Donut with layers of goodness and big chocolate and peanut butter chunks on top of their Lucious chocolate iced donut was one of best shots of rich decadence that has ver crossed my puckered lips! I might consider trading my first born child for it. Oreo donuts taste like the real thing only better and the French Toast and coconut looked pretty awesome too. They have several donut trucks that would add fun to an event. Ambiance of the store could be a little better (they have coffee and a few tables and drive thru) but its location is on the way to many places, off Acton Road and sort of behind Grandview Hospital on Hwy 280. Wow. This donut shop is awesome. They have a drive-through and it was actually opened before their listed hours. I however waited for the store to open up because I need to see my donuts before I buy them. They have a decent sized lot to park in out front and on the side. The store was clean and tidy and they have a few places to dine-in. They also have a couple of tables with chairs outside to eat as well. They have a wide-assortment of exotic donuts. I was in heaven. I got a half dozen. I of course got a maple bacon, and a coconut. I also got an M&M, one with sprinkles, and a Snickers one. I like the coconut one the best, but they were all really good. They were very fresh and tasty. They are very fluffy and light. They tasted good even after over a day. The staff there is friendly and helpful. In addition to their donuts they also have coffee and juice. I throughly enjoyed the donuts, maybe a bit too much. This places has a great selection and some of the better donuts that I have had. And trust me I know donuts. This place is definitely worth checking out. read more

Another food truck which recently stopped by our neighborhood. Diet or not, we had to try them out. I drove up and hopped out, trying to beat the rain as it had already started a light mist. I did a quick glance at their menu and made a few selections, as others had already gathered behind me, so between the rain and the crowd, I didn't get a good chance to look at their whole menu. My wife loved the maple bacon donuts. I thought they were decent, but not my favorite. I liked the chocolate filled with cream the most, while my wife liked them the least. I've tried all of the donut spots in town, and this is by far the best. You absolutely cannot beat the variety, quality, customer service, and consistency. I've tried almost everything on the menu besides a couple of the filled donuts (generally not my jam, no pun intended). The first time I came here, I thought the cashier messed up because I got so many specialty donuts for such a low price. Then as I returned again and again, I realized they are just well priced and always that fresh. The cake donuts are the perfect balance of fluffy balanced flavor and moisture. The blueberry cake donut is incredible. The yeast donuts are perfect to me! I don't like a donut too bread-y, and not too sweet, it has to be the right balance of soft pull apart dough (not too dry) and light sweetness. The toppings and flavors are all great too! Keep in mind no matter where you go, if you get a cereal topped donut, the cereal tends to go stale very quickly (I.e. lucky charms etc). My personal favorite are the cinnamon twists and apple fritters, YUM! The people who work here are incredibly kind and friendly, and want to make sure you are happy. They are very happy to give recommendations and descriptions of all the different flavors, just ask! Important Notes: Go early if you want full pick of their menu! They bake a ton of donuts every day, but sell out of a few flavors throughout the day. They also have different specials every day of the week. The coffee is great also and they are happy to customize flavors for you! The drive through is speedy and efficient, don't be afraid if you see a long line building up. I live close to the store and like having full pick of the menu, but don't be afraid to hit up the food truck if you see it around, too! Last but not least, before they run your card, ask to leave a tip! It goes a long way and greatly supports the awesome staff. Shout out to THDC for being one of the most consistent food trucks to come to my place of employment. There use to be several other food trucks on rotation but those have dwelled down over the years. The donut variety is pretty extensive and they tend to sell out quickly, so I advise getting in line early! I appreciate that they offer seasonal flavors as well as their traditional, yet unique donut flavors. The service too, is consistently good and you even receive a free donut just for checking in on Yelp! Super Duper! Best donuts in my humble opinion - don't get apple fritters at any other donut shop! My faves are the cinnamon twist, nutella, apple fritter and nutella (fridays only). Everything is good - for real. Their kolaches are yummy. The donuts do not have the same consistency as the krispy kreme type and I like it better this way because it's more fulfilling. Service is consistently great; they have a good group of people working there. It's spacious and clean on the inside and just feels good and laid back. This food truck comes near my neighborhood all the time and this past Friday, I took the time to stop to see what kind of doughnuts were available. The gentleman working the food truck was very helpful. I told him it was my first time trying their food so he ran down the list of the doughnuts he had on that day. He explained the difference between the cake doughnuts and yeast doughnuts. I decided on two M&M's doughnuts, which were made with yeast and not the cake batter. That set me back $4, which is reasonably priced. I waited until I got home to try the sugary goodness. As I bit into my doughnut, I think a flash of heaven appeared to me. We walked in in the associate was very nice I showed him my yelp app so that he could see my free doughnut and we were able to choose from any of the donuts they had available. They are one of the few local donut places that have a drive through, so that's really convenient, especially when it's cold outside. Honestly, it is hard to mess up donuts, and they more than serviceably delivered. The (mostly cake version) donuts were fluffy, large, and perfectly topped with their selected toppings. I got a 6-pack for a decent price per donut, and the available selections made it hard to choose just 6! Overall, the donuts weren't incredibly over and above the quality and satisfaction I've gotten from other similar cake donuts. They DID perfectly deliver what I would call the "definition" of a good cake donut, but didn't provide anything breakout revolutionary for me.
