First, I was told one thing over the phone, then given two completely different responses by email. Despite acknowledging my concerns, the salon failed to provide a clear or consistent resolution. Later, I received an email stating that if I declined their offer to have the entire service redone, I would be "automatically reimbursed" for the May 20 service. Because I am active-duty military currently living in Connecticut, returning to Florida for a redo is not a realistic option. After declining the redo and requesting the promised refund, I was told that they could not refund me due to their five-day policy. The most frustrating part has been the lack of accountability and the conflicting information provided in writing. A business should honor the commitments it makes to customers, especially when those commitments are documented by email. I understand the salon is under new ownership and being renamed, but my experience with both the quality of the service and the customer service afterward was extremely disappointing. Between the poor-quality nail work, incorrect charge, and refusal to honor what was promised, this was one of the most frustrating salon experiences I have had. At 4:05 PM, instead of starting my appointment, I was told it would be another 15 minutes. That would make it a 55-minute wait past my scheduled manicure time. The technician (Lee) wasn't even working on another client, he was in the back on a break. That is beyond disrespectful and a complete disregard for people's time. It gets worse. During my waxing, I politely told the technician she missed some small hairs on the side of my lip and asked if she could remove them with tweezers. I had my eyes closed and instead she reapplied wax without telling me and literally ripped off my skin. Not irritation, not redness, actual skin. It burned immediately and you could visibly see the damage. When I went to pay and declined to pay for the waxing (for obvious reasons), I was told I was "exaggerating" and that my skin was just sensitive. No accountability, no apology, just denial.
