    Bruschetta flatbread and pesto flatbread

This place never disappoints. I have eaten on the dining side, as well as the wine barrel side, now that they serve the whole menu in the whole restaurant. I enjoy trying something different each time I go. The drinks are very well made also, I particularly like the sangria cocktail. I've had the crab cakes, bruschetta, shrimp, and calamari appetizers recently and they were all delicious. Seasoned well and plated nicely. The last time we went, we had the pesto and the bruschetta flatbreads. So good! Would definitely get them again. I plan on working my way through their burgers as well. The service has always been excellent. Always ready to answer questions about the dishes, especially when we have questions about the specials. The food arrives in a timely manner as well. The restaurant looks beautiful inside. I especially loved the wine barrel side with the speakeasy vibe. The bathrooms are always clean as well, which is always nice to see.

Heritage Grille is a newer restaurant in Wake Forest. It has been renovated from the prior restaurants in the space. There is a dining room; bar area and outdoor seating. The dining room is nicely decorated down to the white table cloths. The staff was very friendly and attentive while we were here. I went with the filet mignon, my usual as it helps me figure out the quality of the restaurant. I was very happy with the quality here and my selection. My dinner also came with a baked potato (or other side) and veggies. As I was pleased with the dinner I went with the Tres leches cake for dessert and enjoyed that as well. The portion was generous so I ended up eating most of it the next day. I will be returning in a few weeks to Heritage Grille so need to decide if I opt for a new dish or stick with the one I highly enjoyed.

On this food journey we will start with the staff. They are amazing and attentive. They were willing to talk and be helpful with menu items. The ambiance was quiet. Unfortunately in this review I can not say much about the inside. We sat outside near the fire and it was wonderful. Not too loud but not too quiet. The steak was cooked perfectly through with the right amount of seasoning. The red wine Demi glaze was alright honestly the steak is better without it. For the price of the meal I think it could be cheaper. If it was a little cheaper they would be getting a higher rating. The cheesecakes are fantastic. The bread app is a little bit of a rip of with the amount of butter that is provided.

Our first trip here. Made reservations earlier in the day for 6:30 on a Saturday. Upon arrival, was seated immediately. Very friendly hostess. I'll start with I have no complaints. Not one. Everything we ordered was flavorful and filling. It's a classy place although I saw people dressed up in what I'd call business casual to people in jeans and a nice hoodie/sweatshirt/boots. We started with the waiters recommendation for an appetizer which was the fried duck ravioli. I have never had duck before. The glaze was kind of sweet. Ravioli was filled with cheese and duck, very flavorful. I was pleasantly surprised! For our drinks, we ordered a pecan old fashioned which was very good. Nice note of the pecans at the end of the sip. We also tried the southern sidecar. This is a very strong drink, the orange liqueur doesn't stand out much, you definitely taste more of the VSOP and lime. We split a Cesar side salad. It was plenty for us two, especially after the duck appetizer. Our steaks were very flavorful. I'd go as for to say for this area, best steak I've had around wake forest so far. We both had the garlic butter topping on our steaks. Veggies were cooked just how I like them - a nice crunch and not soft. Waiter was attentive and helpful. We'll definitely be back!

My wife & I had my pre-birthday dinner last night, our first visit. We were greeted by the hostess and was the perfect host. The place is clean and beautiful and lighting was perfect. The patio was beautiful with the fire table making it all glow. Page was our server and was attentive and walked us thru the menu. The old fashion was spot on! I had the duck breast and it was cooked perfectly with layers of flavor. My wife's sea bass was incredible! We will for sure be back!

Recently went here for a couples outing and was delighted with great food and service. If you want a beautiful guide to food and drinks please request to see Taylor. Taylor was our server and provided excellent service and recommendations on food and drink pairings. Don't hesitate to start with the burrata or lobster bisque soup. They offer a lot of specialty cocktails but the only thing you need to know is speakeasy sangria...you welcome! The grouper and sea bass were beautifully cooked. Also, their desserts are delicious. We finished our meal with the pineapple upside down cheesecake. This is the perfect place for an anniversary or end of the week treat.

Came in on a Saturday afternoon at 1:30pm. We did make a reservation online. We got there a little early and were able be to be seated immediately. Our server was awesome. The food, delicious. Vibes are great. You could come have drinks with friends but it's also a great place to bring your parents for their anniversary dinner. It's formal enough to merit a special occasion place but the food, drinks and staff make somewhere you'd want to go for a girls night. I liked that you were able to size their charcuterie board depending on your group size. We had the grouper sandwich 10/10, scallop risotto 10/10, fried duck ravioli 9/10 (a little too hard fried for me but still yummy), the hazelnut chocolate cake 10/10 (not overly sweet), pecan old fashioned 7/10 (if you're an old fashioned drinker. If you like candied pecans and salted caramel it's very good), the speakeasy sangria (sweet, VERY strong, VERY good; more than two and you'll be rolling out of there).Prices were excellent. Highly recommend. You won't be disappointed.

Came to celebrate my daughter's birthday. We had reservations but arrive early. They were able to accommodate. What we ordered: Mussels - flavor was good. Portion was okay. Cuban bread - overpriced and butter was really hard and did not melt on the bread Charcuterie board for 2 people - 2 cheese and 2 meat. only came with 3 pieces of crostini bread. The meat was sliced paper thin. Shrimp pasta - it was very very salty. Special of the day - tilefish with jasmine rice, sugar snap peas and lemongrass sauce with bits of crabmeat - my husband really liked it. Flavor was good, fish was tender. Sea bass - vegetable of the day - potato gratin - all very delicious and perfectly cooked. It was a very nice ambience. Was not overly dark like some restaurant. The server was wonderful and explained the menu and provided recommendations.

They did a bit of a remodel since BuKu, and a complete overhaul of the menu. Appearance was attractive and they were pretty busy on a Saturday evening. Some food items were great, others not. Beef and Spelt soup was fantastic, never had spelt before, but this makes a great winter soup. Carpaccio also very tasty and nicely presented. Ravioli appetizer was a miss, nicely crispy but dry and not seasoned well. Duck was crunchy and cooked nicely, a little more of a sauce would have been nice, but overall I enjoyed this dish. Our friends had steaks, they were good, cooked exactly as ordered, but could have used more seasoning. Service was a bit off, but they're so new I think it's just getting the kinks out.

Did this restaurant move or change ownership? We gave a gift card to someone but it was not honored?

Yes, the previous owner filed bankruptcy and then sold it a few weeks ago. The menu has changed and the name likely will as well.

A happy surprise in every bite…read more Artisan is a bright, cheerful, almost whimsical eatery located in the rapidly expanding Cobblestone Village in downtown Rolesville. This mini-deli serves up a variety of specialty cheeses, cured meats and beers. There's also a wall-size cooler loaded with a wide selection of canned craft beers, ciders and seltzers. The decor is warm minimalism, the vibe is neighborly and the staff cordial and accommodating. Signature sandwiches are my personal favorites, but there's also a variety of Small Plates, Salads and Boards. The sandwiches are huge - like the ones found in the best of New York's delis. One special, the Sweet Heat Seoulwich, was truly special. (Be sure to check the specials which change often.) The Toasted Hoagie Roll is piled high with Korean BBQ Glazed Pineapple, Mortadella, Mozzarella, Pickled Fresno Peppers, Gochujang Aioli (spicy Korean-inspired mayonnaise), Lettuce and Tomato. (Bet you can't eat all of it in one sitting.) The traditional Turkey Club is another monster that includes Hickory Smoked Turkey, Pesto Aioli, Spanish Jamon (ham), Lettuce, Tomato, and Vermont Cheddar on Sourdough Bread - a gourmet delight. Add a pint of Salty Turtle Kölsh Style Ale and you have a delicious, filing and refreshing meal. On the lighter side we recommend the Small Salad & 1/2 Sandwich. We paired a Caesars Salad and Mortadella (traditional sliced Italian Pork Sausage, Calabrian Chili Aioli, Gruyere Cheese, Balsamic Caramelized Onions and spicy Arugula on a toasted Hoagie Bun) - really good. The Whipped Ricotta Plate is another winner. The velvety Ricotta is topped with a rich Fig Jam, crispy Prosciutto, Yuzu Oil (refined citrus peal oil), Citrus Zest and Chives. The accompanying toasted Sourdough Bread was airy, tangy and as good as you will find anywhere. What I appreciate the most about Artisan is its creativity and imagination.

There's plenty of parking in the parking lot. There were several other patrons when I arrived. I let the owner know and she brought everything to me, I just had to let her know that I wanted a bottle of red. While we waited for everyone else to arrive, we ordered food. We ordered the crab & shrimp dip, two of the flatbreads, the El Jefe & the Pear Brie & Bacon. The dip comes with warm pitas, it was tasty. The flatbeds were really good, especially the El Jefe, we ordered a second one. The combination is something I'd never think to put together, but went together perfectly. Since we were celebrating a birthday we also had the creme brûlée...delicious. The wine!!! So when I arrived, my friend was just getting the red wine flight, she loved each of them.
