    Shrimp was excellent

I made a reservation for a table while attending the Adult After Hours event this evening with a fellow Elite. The Cafe Manager Hanif was very kind and welcoming, he seated us right away. They offered a Tapas menu with many dishes inspired by small shareable dishes from Spain. Jack was our waiter and he really engaged with us, making recommendations and kept a quirky sense of humor. We decided on mocktails. I asked that the bartender create something special for me. I received a refreshing cucumber mint spritz. We decided on croquettes, a Shrimp dish and tricolor Cauliflower. I enjoyed the Shrimp dish. Very fresh, a decent size and cooked to perfection. The croquettes were good but could have been larger in size with more filling. The cauliflower was plated well. However, it may have been better enjoyed roasted with more flavor. I enjoyed my dessert, the Expresso Panna cotta. I did not taste any expresso, but this was delicious for chocolate lovers. For a museum cafe, I don't expect a Michelin star experience. However, there is much room for improvement. I found the service excellent. Deserving of 4 Stars, however, the flavors missed the mark for me, the value and overall quality of our dishes were subpar. Perhaps because of the Tapas style menu. Perhaps we chose the wrong items? The head chef and cafe manager visited us often checking in on our dining experience. We appreciated the professionalism. I plan to return again and try their brunch. Thank you to the staff for their hospitality.

Beautiful cafe! Friendly employees and a good place to stop to get a latte and a snack! We split a cinnamon bun and a chocolate croissant! I love the decor I. the cafe as well- and everything was clean and beautiful. What a lovely experience sitting at the bar area-if you are a museum member you get a discount t!

The café of the North Carolina Museum of Art is a lovely addition to the already beautiful museum. While the menu isn't extensive, it does offer sufficient choice to suit most tastes, with something for everyone. I visited on a Saturday around 11 a.m. for brunch and had booked in advance, which proved wise since the museum gets crowded at weekends. I enjoyed a delicious and shrimp salad and it was wonderfully fulfilling. The decor inside the café is beautifully set to balance with the aesthetic ambience of the museum so that the overall experience is that of an integral part of the work of art. Worth dropping by if you are in the area, sure thing!

    Basket of crustini for fondue

I had an absolutely delightful lunch with my cousin on Saturday at The Cafe at The Raleigh Museum of Art! This cafe is certainly a bustling place and a bit bit noisy, but with all that aside we had a delicious meal. After viewing all the art, we took a respite, sat down and watched all the food going by. It was difficult to decide what to order; it all looked so good. We started with a fondue appetizer with a dab of fig jam and a basket of crustini! Killer! For my lunch entree I had a huge wedge of a hearty veggie filled quiche with fruit salad. My cousin had a large scoop of cranberry and pecan filled chicken salad with a croissant and a side fruit salad. Two peach ice teas topped off our meals!

Kind staff and good food, a little overpriced but for the location and atmosphere it's not out of place.

We tried 8 different ones, and all were excellent! The pesto and salami one was my favorite. The inside of the restaurant is pretty dimly lit, but we didn't mind and it helped create a cozy atmosphere. The outdoor patio looked nice and could be a good option for daytime. Our waitress was very attentive and let us know about the seasonal specials. They have a board and wine deal on weekday nights that we're looking to try next. Would definitely recommend for a fun night out in the Village District with friends or a date!

I have been to Postino many times before, but this was my first time at the Raleigh location. While it's been 4 years since I've had Postino and the menu has changed a little, the bruschetta board is still a permanent fixture. We ordered a bruschetta board for an appetizer and I ordered the half panini & half salad for my entree. The bruschetta board is a must order because you can get 4 different kinds. The top tier choice is the salami pesto one. It's my absolute favorite. For my panini, I got the caprese one on ciabatta bread and the half of the mixed greens salad. The salad was delicious. This was a ton of food and felt very satisfying. I always love the vibe of Postino's, but this location was way too dark with only a small candle at the table. Service started off good and we were able to order our food without a problem. However, our server was done with his shift right after we ordered so we got a new server. Our new server had no idea we already ordered and was a little behind coming to our table for water refills. Despite that, we were in and out of the restaurant within 45 minutes. Postino is surrounded by other shops and restaurants, so they had a ton of parking available outside the restaurant. Highly recommend this place if you want good food!

The owners have thoughtfully created a warm & welcoming space both inside & out. Beautiful landscaping greets you as you walk up to Vino's patio. We truly forgot we were a stone's throw away from downtown streets thanks to the trees, fire pits, strung lights, and overall chill vibe. They even have blankets for those chilly Raleigh nights! The wine list is purposefully pieced together and offers such variety at fair & affordable pricing. We look forward to many future visits to experience so many unique varietals & countries represented. I know which food item I am going to try on my next visit - the Brie & prosciutto panini! Sounds scrumptious! The inside decor of Vino Wine Bar in downtown Raleigh has nooks to settle into in addition to a beautiful bar. Great hospitality greeted us at every turn.

I've had them bookmarked for a bit and my friend suggested we stop in for a drink after another event. There is space outside (with heaters if needed) and inside (with blankets - if needed) and we opted to sit inside. They have wine, desserts, and small food plates (including charcuterie and sandwiches) , and several cocktail options. I loved my seasonal old-fashioned, and my friends loved their espresso martinis. Our server was super sweet and answered all our questions. It was a great experience.

First of all, I implore anyone wanting to go, make reservations during peak hours! We entered through a big heavy wooden door into the quasi-dark atmosphere and were promptly seated, despite most of the tables being occupied. We were given a two top and started with chips and guacamole. I was impressed with the chips, they were a little extra thick, had tiny bubbles in them. Certainly a far departure from the typical thin, overly salty chip found at most restaurants and grocery stores. Excellent guac with a little pico and lime wedge on the side. I ordered the Baja bowl with shredded adobo chicken. The bowl had green rice, black beans, a whole lot of kale, tomatillo sauce, pickled red onions, crema, and cilantro. It needed a little more, so I added in some of the guac, a few chips I crumbled in my hands for some crunch, and some fresh lime juice. Noah did a good job keeping our water glasses full and he was quite friendly. However, the restroom situation is a bit difficult. There are two small unisex bathrooms, both of which have to be locked. There can't be more than one person in there at the same time, so plan accordingly. Granted, since there isn't much space in the restaurant, it's not as if they have a ton of options.
