Our host is on the board of directors and he was able to give us a very nice tour of the facilities. There is something for everyone! Besides golf and tennis and the usual, there is a 21 plus section of the pool along with a bar and bar service. There are ample spots for kids and families, not just at the pool, but also a separate family oriented dining area and playroom set up for the children. The fitness center has state of the art equipment. The only downside is that space is limited, physically the grounds can't expand and parking can be at a premium. Our meal was excellent, soft shell crab with poblano and sweet peppers over grits for me and a half size wedge salad with added grilled shrimp for my wife. We enjoyed a perfect evening at this club.

The meal I was most impressed with was cajun shrimp over grits served with fried green tomatoes and a hollowed out orange filled with cranberries and a sweetpotato-orange cream. It was unbelieveable. The wedding was great, and I think the venue helped contribute to the laid back, yet super-classy elegance.

It's located in a beautiful area near the river and definitely reminded me of old world southern country club when I arrived complete with foyers, sitting rooms, chandeliers, fireplaces in several rooms, and a full staff in uniform. I gave it 3 stars because it is so old fashioned that it's pretty outdated and the chairs were banquet style and pretty uncomfortable to sit in for several hours. We were in an upstairs room and were served buffet style. The food was average and included some limited salad options, chicken breasts done piccata style, but there was no pasta to pair it with which I found odd. Instead there was a bland herb rice. There was also some kind of beef dish that I don't know if it really has a name, it was pieces of beef in a dark sauce, but it also didn't have much flavor. Other sides included: very dense mashed potatoes, steamed green beans with almond slivers, and steamed veggies (squash i believe). The staff was very nice and the room was effective for the Q&A panel but I was really unimpressed with the food, and would have rather had the Q&A in the classroom we were using because the chairs were a lot more comfortable.

I was called a "foreigner" even though was born in GA and was stationed here during my entire time in the Army. Then some residents get mad when throw out trash because they said don't live herei can't use the amenities. I guess I look Hispanic and look like a contractor? Let's talk about the rising HOA bill as well, current 2025, it's around $4300 a year, it was $2k when I moved here in 2018 but the board members continue to mismanage the funds and spend it on things they don't need. The board members are all old retired dudes with money who want to try and make Bent tree better than other places. For example, The restaurant here loses half a million a year in production cost and instead of closing it down, they trickle the operation expenses back to the resident because they think a restaurant inside the community somehow makes Bent tree better?

It was around $15 per person not including drinks. Their hot food items consisted of your typical breakfast meat (bacon, sausage) fare, eggs, biscuits, gravy, chicken tenders and country fried steak. Servers assist you with their hot food items but everything else is self-serve. There was an array of pastries and fruit options as well. There was also an omelette station that you can customize to your liking. My favorites here are the smoked salmon and French toast. One pro about this place is their servers' attention to care.
