    Anteaters!
    Brigitte O.

The quality of college apparel has gone up since I attended! Where I work we have college days where we rep our universities. I've found multiple shirts and even a letterman style jacket that are perfect for work! The Hurley Anteater zip front sweatshirts are massively more comfortable than the old college pullover hoodie I used to wear back in the day. They also sell camelbak reusable water bottles which is perfect for work since they do not provide water at my site. I fill the camelbak with Brita filtered water at home and am set for the work day. The new circular mouth top is way easier to use than the old bite valve model. After biting a bite valve for 8 hours every time you're thirsty your teeth would hurt. The new pour style is much better. Also a great place to buy gifts for the parents that show school spirit :)

Okay, this Barnes & Noble hits different. You walk in expecting the usual fluorescent lit, "we ran…read moreout of budget for interior design" bookstore vibe, and instead it's super clean, modern... and actually kind of nice? Almost fancy. A bit sus, honestly. But the book selection is deep and staff is chill and helpful without hovering over you like you're about to steal a Stephen King novel. That parking though... If you've been to The District, you already know that lot is chaos 24/7. Not their fault but be ready for a full-contact sport out there. lastly, I took my kid to the kids' section and it's actually legit, not just three shelves and a beanbag chair. Bought myself a solid 20 minutes of silence while he lost his mind over "Who Was?" books. 10/10, would trade my peace for books again.

A very convenient location! The store is styled for the new model of Barnes & Noble. It does make…read moreit a bit more confusing to find genres but everything is labeled and once you figure out the layout of the store it works. The personal staff picks/selections are all wonderful suggestions. While they do have a lot of books/genres/authors it does seem like a lot of options were missing specifically in classics and fiction. Again they can't sell every book ever but this last visit was more of a miss for me. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly here and the store is clean!

I ordered my textbooks online and paid for them. I received an email confirming my order. They've…read morecollected my money. After more than two weeks I had not received the promised "we'll let you know when they're ready" email and assumed I'd accidentally deleted it or it had gone to my spam folder. So, I went in. They said they hadn't figured out their system yet and I should wait for that email. I asked if they had the books. "Yes," they replied. "Then please give them to me." "No, we can't do that until we work out the system." It'll be another week tomorrow. How can you be so incompetent that you can't give someone the two books the bought and paid for? I'd fire whoever is responsible, maybe that would get his replacement energized enough to solve the problem.

Hands down, the worst experience trying to receive/return books. Massively overpriced, never in…read morestock, they don't communicate with the staff on inventory needed prior to start of school. Week 4 and books are barely being ordered for courses. I messaged them regarding returning an unopened book for a class I no longer needed. Took them 10 days to respond. They gave me ONE day only to come in person to return. I took off work to return this book, waited in line and the second I got to the front, the clerk told me their boss is the only person who can help and they just left so they can't help me. This is just the most horrific experience in general, trying to enroll, establish financial aid, purchase books, etc. IVC as a whole does not care about their students. If you can take the same courses anywhere else, save yourself the headache.
