This place is absolutely amazing! I drove 35 minutes to go visit what I thought would be this…read morelittle hole in the wall book stand. But I wanted to check it out because I had heard of the good it does for the community and wanted to support it... and also to browse their Spanish book collection. I was immediately taken aback at the diverse selection of both new and used books. Although it is a small store, it is packed with so many good options. I went in to browse and maybe pick up one or two newbies, but ended up leaving w 7 gems. All used books, but in good condition. With taxes, I spent only a little over $30. I was able to pick up books of stories with Mexican, Nicaraguan, Salvadoran, Puerto Rican, and Indian backgrounds. I was in literary heaven! My favorite part of the shop was a little room in the back that has shelves stocked with really old stuff. There are 2 chairs in there for patrons to sit and browse, and black and white photographs draped on the walls to accentuate the room. I had an immediate spike in endorphins! Other pros: the staff is very helpful, they have a little coffee cart from a local business pop up on weekends, and they host various community events/workshops. I love how community oriented this business is and hope that more people continue to support it!

Out of the 2 locations I've been to, this has a better parking lot as well. Since the store is a lot bigger, that means a lot more selection of figures, books, manga, videos and more. In general, I do enjoy this store as it has great value. I found quite a few things that were quite cheaper here than if you go to a large retail store. If you have anything that you may want to get rid of (but works very well or in good shape) you can see if they're willing to it and give you an estimate. The staff are helpful to help you (the best of their ability) to find what you are looking for or need.

It's really disappointing to see how far they've fallen, especially when it comes to their pricing…read more I don't know what their strategy is with used games and movies, but they seriously need a reality check. In some cases, their used prices actually exceed MSRP. For example, they're charging $70 for a loose, boxless copy of Pokémon Legends: Z-A for the Nintendo Switch 2--which is full retail price for a second-hand, incomplete item. Their trade-in values are just as bad. It's not uncommon for them to offer you a tenth of what they plan to resell your item for. I get that the secondhand market relies on profit margins, and that they're banking on uninformed sellers looking for quick cash, but they're doing it at the expense of their loyal, long-time community. At this point, books are the only category where you can still find a decent deal. For anything else, you're much better off using eBay or finding a different store.
