This place is top notch! We went here while I had business in the area and took our dog with us…read more It's an amazing dog-friendly place that is family owned and operated. The manager, Veronica, is an absolute gem. She helped us with so many things from getting extra linens to giving us ideas for places to eat, since we were there during off peak times and early in the week. The spot that they are on in the river is absolutely stunning. The cabin we were in was peaceful and quiet. It was also just a short walk to have a beautiful view over the river and if you took a different path you could easily hop in. The back porch of the cabin was serene with bird feeders and even a humming bird feeder! There is a fire pit and a bbq pit if you feel like doing your own cooking. The cabin has all the necessary things for you to do your cooking for the entire time. I will say, prepare to be in the shower a touch longer, as the water pressure was somewhat low, but man...when water pressure is your single complaint, you know you're in heaven!!! I highly recommend this place and we will for sure stay here again. It's also reasonably priced. I advise if you're not trying to accommodate a summer schedule to go during the off season to enjoy a few less people.

The cabin had everything we needed including river access (Nol has given public access to the river as part of a lease agreement with TPWD). I didn't get to meet her but Mark says she's the best. We had deer, skunks, bunnies, opossum, fox and horses. The bird watching was great. Who else says, "give me a hug" but someone as great as Nol! I can't wait until next year.

I recently stayed at Nol's cabins and I absolutely had one of the best experiences I've ever had on…read morethe South Llano River. Nol has 2 cabins for rent that are a stone's throw from the river (30-second walk). They are attractive, clean, well-furnished and they are both newly built. As someone who likes to kayak Central Texas' rivers I've had the opportunity to stay at numerous different riverfront cabins and I have to admit that Nol's are the best by a long shot. Sadly, I can be overly critical at times but these accommodations were excellent. The bed (queen-size) was plush and comfortable, the AC was frosty cold and her riverbank is private, quiet and beautiful. She even has one of the best swimming holes that I've experienced on the South Llano. The 100-year old pecan trees that line her stretch of the river provided us a comfortable respite from the hot July sun. If you like to fish and run the rapids like I do Nol's property sits on an ideal location on the river to float into or float out of when making kayak trips. Pro Tip #1: When you make your morning cup of coffee go sit down on river's edge upon her rock steps. It's quiet, relaxing and you'll have the whole river to yourself. Pro Tip #2: After your dinner meal go sit out on the porch and watch the wild turkeys, white-tailed deer and axis deer come out to feed. We saw more wild game and birds than you'd see at the zoo.
