Just picked up a new to me 2020 F150 Lariat and needed a new rack as this truck is replacing my old work truck (that also has a rack from Hitch Depot). I got there early without calling and they were already opening up. After verifying the bed measurements and hitch height, I placed the order, took my 2" ball with me and am looking forward to getting my new rack installed. I came here to install a rear hitch yesterday so that I can have a rear bike rack instead of my roof rack. I made an appointment about 1 a week ago, since they're operating only by appointments. So at my appointment at 3pm yesterday, the lady who was at the front told me it would take about an hour to install. Fast forward 20 minutes later, my car was done! Time will tell whether the work was done correctly. My issue is a bit with the price of $480 for three wheel bearings and three seals. I guess that may be a bit High but if it's done right I'll be okay. The main issue is that I brought the trailer in one day ask them to call me to tell me what they found and then the next day my phone rang saying that the work was done come and get it. I never authorized any repair. I think there are some Growing Pains going on Within hitch Depot. The new guard needs to understand that processes should be followed and one huge process is to always get an authorization from the customer. They seem like a lot of young guys inside so perhaps a little maturity will help down the road. read more

This 4th Generation family-owned place is the place to go. I'm a little old retired lady with a Class C motorhome, and I have never towed anything. Ever. I wanted a specific tow bar package installed on my car and RV so that I could flat-tow the car. These folks went above and beyond to get me exactly what I needed, at a very reasonable price. (Yes, I did my research ahead of time and had a very good idea what all the components would cost.) Side note - another place in the area quoted me a price almost double what these people charged me. They were friendly and very helpful, from start to finish. They kept me informed of the progress, and they took exactly as long as they said they would. What a pleasant surprise! I drove my rig to their place the day my car was finished. I got there about 15 minutes before closing. The owner spent probably 45 minutes showing me every part of the assembly; how to install and uninstall, how to hook up, how to unhook, and the actions necessary to set up my car for flat towing. He patiently answered my newbie questions, and told me a few things that weren't in the manual, then told me I could call him any time if I had any more questions. Definitely above and beyond. Go there. They are worth the trip. FYI: I have a 26' motorhome and a Honda Fit, and I purchased a Roadmaster Falcon 2 tow package. Hitch Depot took care of installation of the baseplate, tow bars, electrical, safety bars, everything. It tows like a dream. read more

Went and had a complete horrible and waste of time of an experience with these people. Got an estimate told me was going to be $360 for a trailer brake system installation. I agreed, and left my truck there. As soon as we left I got a call and told me that I needed to do "special holes in to my truck to run the wires" hahahaha and that now it's going to be $150 more total almost $500. What a joke! When back right away and got my truck back. As I got home I saw these useless people left on my truck wires cut and just left it that way. Also my spare tire under my truck was loose and I could have lost it on the freeway on the way back home. Went to uhal and got it way cheaper and professionally done and haven't had any problems. I have only posted to Yelp twice before but felt the need to do so this time after getting outstanding service from Charley after a recent RV trip. When we unhooked our fifth wheel upon our return to Monrovia the trailer hitch on the back of my truck did not reset and the hitch clamps were in a "sprung" position. After doing some basic cleanup and maintenance of the hitch and even after working with the hitch vendor tech support person via phone, we were unable to resolve the issue. We brought the truck in to the Hitch Depot to see what they could do for us. Charley had his hands full with other customers but took time out to look at our hitch; his initial analysis was not good! Charley identified a pin/connector on the underside of the hitch that appeared to be blocking the hitch arm from resetting; it most likely became bent when we were uncoupling the truck. Apparently the hitch manufacturer has a very strict policy of not allowing third parties - even their authorized support/dealers (which the HP is) - to maintain the inner workings of their units. As their west coast operation (located in Sacramento) has recently shut down, we would most likely need to ship the hitch back to their Texas location. Our fifth wheel was parked on the street in front of our house, and the city of Monrovia would not take well to the notion of us leaving it parked there for the next several weeks, and all of a sudden, here I am wondering (among other things) how I'd get the trailer back to our storage site, what the cost would be to ship the hitch back to Texas (let alone the cost to fix the out-of-warranty hitch), and whether it would be cheaper in the long run to replace the hitch rather than getting it serviced... Charley came to our rescue when he suggested that, since he was on good terms with the hitch rep in the area, he would try to contact the rep and see if he could get any feedback on how he might be able to fix the hitch. When the rep didn't answer Charley's initial phone call, Charley took our phone number and indicated he would keep trying to reach him, and would call us back when he knew more. Less than an hour later, we got a call from Charley. The rep agreed that the pin/connector was indeed the issue, and said that it wouldn't be a problem to manually straighten it. He assured Charley that it would not leave the hitch in any state of disrepair where the hitch might malfunction or create a hazard later on because of anything Charley did. When I asked Charley when he could work on the truck, he told me to just bring it in. We headed straight over to Hitch Deport, and twenty minutes after we got there we had a "fixed hitch"! In spite of my protests, Charley would not take any payment for his work, asking only that we keep his business in mind the next time we needed anything. We Certainly Will! Quick summary, Hitch Depot (Charley) re-prioritized a busy work schedule to work with us on the fly, went the extra mile in contacting resources outside of the normal dealer tech support arena to get a solution, successfully implemented that solution, and then wouldn't take a dime for his efforts. If he had told me it would cost $300 for his services, I would have been making out the check, no questions asked. You don't see this kind of performance any more when dealing with most (read "any") service-oriented businesses! Thanks again to Charley and Hitch Depot for a Great Job Done! read more

I originally went to them to purchase a new brake controller for my truck. after 10 minutes the mechanic came out and told me that there was nothing wrong after testing the unit, except a small clicking sound that would not affect anything. they charged me nothing for the service! however, after a few months, my wife said she was annoyed with the small clicking. so , I purchased a new brake controller and had them install it. the service was quick, the price was very fair, and they are very friendly at this shop. I liked their honesty when they could have sold me a new controller but did not. I would highly recommend this trailer hitch shop to anyone what wants professional and honest work done. read more

Great customer service and they did a great job explaining how my Curt hitch worked and I felt comfortable leaving, but the mounting brackets and the size of bolts were below my expectations.
