New to LA (by way of the Bay) and in dire need of a cut (see pic). There were a handful of quality barber shops on Yelp, but this one stood out. First, the online reservation system is legit. I don't mind the cancellation fee because I respect people's time. $40 is pricier than a standard cut but I expect more than a standard cut. Arriving at the shop, there's no exterior sign. A little confusing but let me save you some window peeping. Go to the corner and use the keypad entry box to type the suite number in. You'll get buzzed in. There are signs on the wall that will guide you. Donevin was welcoming and treats you like a longtime homie. He asked me a few questions to figure out what type of cut I was looking for - nothing fancy, just clean. And that he produced. Good experience and worth the money. I've never received so many compliments on a haircut in an awfully long time, and after my appointment I was ready to book again! The location was easy to get to, extremely clean, and I was highly satisfied with my service. I was in and out in no time but taken care of from the time I entered until the time I left. TL;DR Donevin saved my life. It was the day before I had to get professional photos taken and due to poor scheduling, my primary barber was unavailable until the morning of my event. Not wanting to dance further with the devil, I frantically searched barbers available early in the AM. I was lucky to book Donevin and upon my arrival at 9:00ish he was fully prepared and ready to get going. Before starting my cut, he asked a bunch of questions about my preferences, looked at photos, and discussed what he would be doing. Overall I was very pleased with my results and will definitely be back. Other notes: Donevin's space is small but has all the amenities. He had cold bottled water and a large television to keep clients entertained.
