As a fan of deals and fun experiences, this was totally in my element. We paid $25 a person with the discount and an additional $5 for paint balloons and $5 for two squirt guns filled with paint. We also got two canvases and we're able to pick our colors and got the room to ourselves. We had fun throwing the paint on our canvases as well as each other. They do provide bunny suits and visors to make sure that you don't get dirty. They also gave me a Ziploc bag that I could put my phone in and a lanyard so I could easily access it. If you're in the area, I would definitely recommend checking this place out and doing the splatter Quest!

And bonus- he sometimes dons his full Spider Man get-up! Ricardo has been hosting for a few years and he brings a new energy into the event as well as a focus on highlighting women and POC in an event that often features a ton of white guys. Another change is that the venue rotates. Sometimes it's at The Geek Easy, sometimes Purple Rock Scissors' offices in the Plaza building downtown. Either location, it's always a blast and the feel is casual and encouraging. Three speakers get to present and there's Q&A after each presentation. The folks in the room are from all different sectors in Orlando, but what they share in common is a love for Orlando and it's cool citizens. Finally, you'll see Nerd Nite Orlando recognized all over including, including presentations for an event at Orlando Science Center, and Comicon!! Support folks supporting our awesome city!

The concept is simple, there's three speakers that get about 20 minutes each to talk about a nerdy topic they're passionate about, even if they're not experts or scholars. Of course, there's drinking happening, and a very laid back and fun atmosphere where usually one can learn something, or at least get a good laugh. This is probably my favorite FREE event in town. Yes, it's free! They take donations, but you just have to show up and listen, but why wouldn't you grab a drink? The event moves around town, so keep an eye on their facebook page or sign up for the newsletter to know where they'll be, or if they have any special happenings for the month.

It is the equivalent to the Tribute Store in Universal Studios. This store is for all of the fans of Halloween. The store has two sections, the entry way and the main area. In the entry way is where you'll find Halloween Horror Nights merchandise based on Universal intellectual properties like Beetlejuice and the Universal Monsters. The main part of the store has other spooky offering along with art by local artists. I saw a lot of T shirts, glasses, collectibles, jewelry and some food items. The store is highly themed with pumpkins, fall leaves, and flickering lights in alcoves. For Christmas the store name was changed to All Hallows Eve Krampus Boutique. My daughter knew more about the store than the disinterested employee working there. She asked him where she could find the HHN props she heard they had and he had no clue. It is very dark in there and probably not a place I would want to be hanging out all day either. We didn't end buying anything but it is a cool stop for anyone who loves Halloween and HHH.

I wish the membership was a tab bit more economical or even more had some better incentives for returning members. But I do I like that they allow the students to push for what they want to learn and that they hold workshops for learning. It's exactly the flexibility I feel like public schools are desperately lacking. Those are my personal positives and negatives.

We've been attending regularly…read morefor over six months now, and it has made a tremendous difference in our homeschooling experience. Having tried other programs where we had to practically bribe our student to participate, Meta Humans has been a breath of fresh air. Our child genuinely loves going -- he'd happily attend seven days a week if they were open on weekends! We currently attend three times a week, and we've found that Meta Humans not only meets the socialization needs that homeschoolers sometimes struggle with, but it also helps fill in educational gaps in an engaging and effective way. For example, they offer typing -- a subject that would've been a major battle if I had introduced it at home. But because it's part of the Meta Humans curriculum, my child now asks to practice typing on weekends -- just for fun! That's the kind of magic they create: turning new skills into something enjoyable and self-motivated. The staff is absolutely wonderful. In particular, Glouie (aka Louie) takes the time to individualize care and support for each student. He has a deep understanding of the unique quirks and personalities of the kids and manages those differences with kindness, attentiveness, and real compassion. If I had one small wish, it would be for a French immersion option! With so many native French speakers on staff at this location, my son has become increasingly curious about the language -- and I'd love to take advantage of that exposure, especially since immersion is such a powerful way to learn. All in all, Meta Humans has been an incredible addition to our homeschool journey, and we're so grateful for the joy and growth it brings our family.

There may be other items as well, but those are the three things I saw people making while we were there. The space is small and hard to find. Inside, there's one table that seats about 8 people, so just know there is a good chance you'll be sharing your time with someone else. They have a huge variety of scents and colors you can use for your soap and candles. They are very easy to make, and all 6 of ours turned out great. Keep in mind that the soap takes about 30 minutes to make and about an hour to harden before you can take it home. We didn't plan for that, so I thought I should note it.

DANGER WARNING I attended a candle making experience in…read moreFebruary for Valentine's with my two daughters and niece. The place was clean & had a large variety of options. Cecilia the owner was pleasant , she supervised our group during the process of picking out the items and while we created the candle. At the end of our visit we paid and were on our way. I used the candle for the first time a couple of months ago and a second time on June 7th. Both times the candle was used in the manner it was intended to be used. I didn't alter the candle, I didn't allow it to burn for longer than an hour, and it was not left near anything that could catch fire. The candle was lit sitting on my bedroom dresser I stepped away to use the bathroom attached to my bedroom and heard an explosion when I ran out my dresser was on fire. I quickly poured water over the fire. The jar I purchased from the establishment combusted that was the loud sound I heard. Thankfully I walked away when I did because where I had been sitting I found pieces of the shard glass! Once the excitement had passed I contacted Cecilia and explained what happened. She stated it wasn't her problem and I explained this was a matter of product liability as she sold me the item and the materials used to create the candle. I explained that she could contact her insurance company because I would like my dresser repaired or replaced. She stated again it wasn't her problem and that I signed a waiver. The waiver doesn't remove her from liability of the item combusting while being used properly. When the candle was lit the second time it was 3/4 full of wax. She became argumentative I told her I didn't want to argue and she could take 24 hours and get back to me. She got back to me a little after the 24 hours with a copy of the waiver I signed , I replied thank you and if that was her final decision she didn't respond. Her behavior has been unprofessional, rude and fails to take accountability for the product she sold me and helped me create. No business owner should feel it isn't their responsibility after such damage was caused. Thankfully I wasn't injured. I really didn't want to make this post as all of the reviews I post are always positive because I know people need to make a living ... if she doesn't make things right I will pursue legal actions through the courts for restitution for my damages.
