I dont know about all the store but I can say the plumbing dept is terrible!! 9/14/25 830 am. The guy there didnt even seem like he wanted to work. I came in with a everyday outside spigot inside and needed new seals for it. He said he doesn't carry outside spigot seals even though I showed him what I was looking for. Can you believe it!! We placed an order online and when we went to pick it up the item was clearly used and very damaged. The employee who brought it to us at the drive up area said he would go in and get a replacement. He never returned so after 20 mins we had to go inside and head to the service desk. I do not recommend the order online pickup in store option here read more

We went to this one , specifically for a new shower head for MY shower, that our local Home Depot didn't have in stock. They have such an incredible selection of everything, it could almost drive a person crazy trying to make a final decision. I loved the gorgeous hanging lights / chandeliers they have. I could spend literally a fortune in these stores remodeling every room in my house, although it doesn't need it. The employees were helpful & the store was clean & uncluttered. read more

I'm giving this a 3 because in general we've had good experiences at this particular Home Depot. Last week, we bought a new Samsung washer and dryer and set it up for home delivery and installation for today. The washer and dryer arrived and the delivery men would not install it. He kept insisting that all they do is deliver the appliances. I contacted the individual who helped us (Sonya) to check into why they didn't install it and she confirmed that we paid for installation and also couldn't understand why they didn't. She said she was going to look into it and call me right back. She called back within 15 minutes and noted that they were supposed to install the washer and dryer, and adding a $100 credit to our account. SONYA, thank you so much for your assistance both before our purchase and after and I am giving SONYA 5 STARS! She has helped us on appliances in the past and is always so helpful, knowledgeable, thorough and reliable. read more

We waited over 20 for our curbside pickup. Not worth my time. Many employees came out with carts caring wood but it's not like they could bother to put our small pickup in the cart at the same time. The line was crazy with tons of people. Didn't look like they where even enforcing social Distancing Guidlines. Everyone in the line waiting to get in the store was standing pretty much on top of each other. I wish I had a picture of how unbelievable this was. Overall stay clear of this location even if it is just for a curbside pickup. read more

So thankful that Home Depot opens bright and early (6 am) during the week. Our shower faucet handle cracked the night before, so going to Home Depot first thing in the morning to get a new one was a life saver. Store was clean and well-staffed. We didn't realize there was a separate aisle for faucet repair supplies until we asked for help. The prices were good and we liked that there were both generic and name brand supplies (Moen). Self-checkout was easy to use. I also like that they're environmentally conscious and offer recycling for bags, batteries, and light bulbs. It's located between the entrance and self checkout lines. I have a lot of checkins at this Home Depot. A lot. And that doesn't count all the times I've run in and out so intent on whatever I was getting that I forgot to checkin. Needless to say, I have a broad base of experience upon which to write a review. This Home Depot is not perfect. There are days when I'm frustrated or leave feeling unsatisfied. That said, by and large, this store and its staff have provided tremendous support for the massive renovation projects my partner and I have been tackling. We've been able to renovate on extremely low budgets in no small part because there are affordable options at HD and because the staff at this location has walked me through countless installs and other pieces of our projects. Some things you'll want to check out here: discount tile. We did our kitchen and bath with tile that was under $1/sq. ft. and $2/sq. ft. We then used some accent tile to dress up the main tile we selected. Also, returns - by which I mean other people's returns. We got a stove hood that someone else had returned (some scratches on the side by the screw holds that didn't matter because they would be covered) and we got a discount. These are frequently on the shelves with stickers but you can always ask. The biggest thing here is to ask. About whatever you're working on. They are happy to help, their return policy is good, and every time I have had an issue with a product, they have always addressed it to my satisfaction. People give box stores a rough time - and I'm not saying that you shouldn't check every 2x4 before you buy - but I am saying that our experience has been very positive and you should give this HD a try. As a first time home owner, I have now discovered how important having a local hardware and building supply store is to a neighborhood. From building a deck, blowing out a wall, building a wall in closet, to installing a sump pump and finishing our garage- Home Depot is there with the tools, supplies, and helpful associates I need to make these projects happen. The store is always clean, and it never takes long to find someone who can help answer your question. The employees are also fairly good about deferring your question to another coworker if they don't know the answer, which is extremely important because you don't want electrical advice from the person working in the windows department, nor plumbing advice from the person in lumber. I opened a Home Depot credit card, and this is a must for anyone with a home- while it doesn't have all of the fancy perks as my American Express, it does offer interest free financing for 1-3 years depending on what you spend, pretty much all the time so that is huge in case a washer or dryer break, fridge breaks etc- I know I can walk in and put it on my HD credit card. read more

We ordered an expensive fridge from Home Depot online in May, because it was on sale. However our remodel was not until July and we wanted to make sure the fridge stayed "safe" until installation. So, we inspected the box to make sure there was no damage and since the packaging was all intact, we decided to leave the fridge in the packaging, so it would be protected, until we were ready to install it. Come installation day, we unwrapped the fridge only to find dents and damage all over! My husband spent two days on the phone, being tossed from one person to the next (including Joe, a store manager at the Amherst location), who all parroted the same message: our policy states you have 2 days from delivery to inspect your product and return if there are any damages. You did not comply with the policy, therefore this is your problem, not ours, and we will do nothing. I understand "policy", and as a general rule policy is good, but in customer service there is a "human factor" to consider. We weren't trying to go against their policy, we literally just had nowhere to keep the fridge safe for 2 months until installation. So, we thought we were making the best decision possible to keep the fridge in its [undamaged] packaging to protect it. But none of that mattered to anyone my husband talked to over the course of 2 days (approximately 9 Home Depot employees). (Side note: my husband is my hero now more than ever for how calm and patient and respectful he remained with everyone he spoke to! I don't know how he did it.) Instead, because their policy wasn't followed, Home Depot is just taking our $$$$ and leaving us with a brand new, expensive, damaged fridge. I'm just in absolute shock. A billion dollar company sends us a damaged product and won't do anything about it because their "policy wasn't followed". How is this ok? Unfortunately, I doubt this review will do any good in saving anyone else from doing business with Home Depot. I, myself, had numerous people warn me about buying big purchases which may require customer service from Home Depot. But I didn't listen, reasoning that Home Depot is such a reputable store, I'm sure I would never have any problems with them. And unfortunately, most people, like me, aren't going to look for reviews about Home Depot until they're in this exact situation - having been through the wringer with them. But on the off chance even one person reads this and decides to save themself the headache (and thousands of dollars), I'm putting this out there. Do yourself a favor and, even if it costs a few hundred extra, take your big purchase business to a company that cares about their paying customers. read more

After our whole life living in the Western New York area we finally gave in and bought a snowblower. I know wimps right? After much research we knew what brand and model we wanted. The 2 older gentleman from the garden department ( I wish I remembered their names! ) were beyond helpful, showed us how it worked checked to see if oil was in it, when they went to show us the snow thrower and noticed it was put on wrong they took it back and got us a different one and again checked it out to make sure it worked properly before we purchased it! I recently went here to buy some chain to complete the swingset I had assembled. I took my daughter and one of the employees passed/saw me walking down the main isle in front of the store towards the registers and said "don't do it!" I said "excuse me?" He then repeated it again "don't do it." It took a second to register that he was cracking some kind of joke since I was holding 4 chains and walking with my 3 year old. At the checkout I was told I could not use my veterans discount without going on the Home Depot app. I asked if I could use my phone number as I has previously set it up through Home Depot. This is a quick shout-out not specifically for this Home Depot store itself, but for their delivery service. Last weekend our wash machine of 10+ years bit the dust. We shopped around online, and decided on a great deal on a new washer from Home Depot. Today was delivery day. An automated call last night gave us a window of 11am - 3pm for delivery. Dave called us about a half hour before delivery to give us a heads-up on his arrival. He showed up on time as expected, with his sidekick Chris. They moved in the new machine and moved out the old one from the basement in maybe 10 minutes. They were both friendly, and Dave was helpful and informative on how to start using our new washer. Good communication, quick work, very courteous, as good as it gets. Thanks guys! The Ohm Depot sells resistors, and it's hard to resist shopping there. The Gnome Depot sells little dudes for your garden. And the Groan Depot is where you go when you read too many of my reviews. However this Home Depot is well-located just north of the 290 on NFB, and has everything you'd want in a Home Depot, including - unfortunately - the sky-high prices. However it scores a 3 because every time I ever came in here, which was only on occasion while I lived in these parts, they were exceptionally friendly, and always had everything I needed for the house. I have to say though that coming here made me feel stupid. I was so not cut out for construction. Unlesss you mean construction of Yelp reviews and music albums and tours. read more

I read some negative reviews about the customer service here, but I was in the area and had some questions about re-doing my antique dresser, so I stopped in. I was greeted by two different employees and asked if I needed assistance/directions right away. I was directed to the paint counter and the staff there was awesome! It was two women and one younger guy - they answered all my questions, gave me some good suggestions, made sure they understood what I wanted to do, and tried to save me some money on the paint & primer. I was really impressed and pleased with their help! The girl at the self-checkout was nice, too! I'd definitely come to this location again. read more

We walked in and walked out with the keys within 30 minutes, last minute on a sunday night and they still did everything they could to make this experience better for us! This is the worst customer experience. Waiting for material don't bother.. stood at the flooring department while the gentalmen finished ( just a few minutes) and then the associate got up. I said hello and he keeps walking and talking. Like I wasn't even there. I stopped him I told him I need to talk and he started to argue with me. I then seen Cameran assistant manager and voiced calmly my displeasure. He politely apologize. I have spent nearly $ 30000 no that is not a typo that thirty thousand in home depots over the last 45 days. This all on top of the fact that I stood in the plumbing isle for 10 minutes I know I timed it with not one associate had the time to ask if I need any help. I thought Niagara falls home depot and lockport home depot where bad. Nope this place tops them all. Will be the last time I am here and it is making a great point of going to lowes. read more

The employees are always helpful and abundant. I don't really like spending money on things I can't eat but the prices here are the best I've seen for this type of thing. We purchased a stove from them a few months ago and they weren't able to install it because our house needed updating. In order to get my $20.00 installation fee back I spent over an hour dealing with people on the phone and in person at the store. It was really frustrating. I will continue shopping here but I don't see myself purchasing another appliance from them. read more

My wife and I went to the Niagara Falls store for garden supplies on Saturday May 30th. We pulled into a lane for outside pickup. An employee with a mask walked up to the passenger side of the car. I lowered the window to talk to him and he lowered his mask completely and spoke directly into my wife's face. I told him to put his mask on which he did. I was upset enough that I went into the garden section of the store to speak to a manager. Upon entering the store I noticed that an employee sitting in front of the left booth had a mask on but it was covering her mouth only. In line for the right hand booth was a customer with no mask standing no more than two feet behind the customer in front. Nobody in line appeared to be social distancing and there appeared to be no effort on the part of the store to enforce any safety rules. This is NOT a safe environment for anyone at risk for Covid 19. read more

I stopped going here because of terrible service with some exterior doors they installed which didn't hold up to weather. That's right ... exterior doors ... can't handle weather. When I contacted them because we couldn't even open the front door as the material had swelled they said they'd come back when it was dry and they could open the door to inspect. When they finally did they said it was a problem with the house. I had a real contractor come out and look at the doors, they said they'd been installed incorrectly. Home Depot refused to do anything. Went today (much later) to just get some drain cleaner, of which there is a huge selection. The guy we asked for some help finding the best one for our situation simply said "You'd do better to get a plumber to come out, but if you insist on trying this, just pick any one of them, they're all the same." And now I remember why I stopped going there. Service is, on average, terrible. read more

Gotta give this location a thumbs down. I was in the market for a chiminea and checked their Web site before traveling to the store. It said there were three in stock. After scoping the fire pit area out and not seeing it, I hailed an associate for help. She said the conundrum seemed really weird and went to check. Verified it on the computer. Nope. Hadn't EVER carried them. But...the computer told her there are 5 at the Elmwood location. So I'm off to the next store. Stay tuned for that review. Is there a straight piece of lumber in any Home Depot or do they consistently put the warped stuff on top hoping that sooner or later someone will buy it. They stack it on top and I dig to the bottom. One thing is for sure - Its easy to wrap around corners with lumber at The Home Depot. Besides having to say Hello to absolutely every representative (maybe I dress funny) it comes time to check out and all that is open is the dreaded auto checkout. Great - now we deal with this. After figuring out the touch screen - as a cashier watches and gives you the "LOOK" - its time to pay. But it doesn't work and wont accept the card - and guess what - now were back to the cashier and she is insisting on training with the auto pay cause her Boss is watching. I want to leave but I have to learn auto teller. Finally its over - I leave after learning auto teller - and they have their money .What an experience - this is the future!!! read more

This company is lacking in many areas. The customer service, product knowledge and conflict resolution capabilities are terrible. I had a dishwasher installed and when there was an issue with it functioning (prior to installer leaving) he was instructed to leave and continue his deliveries. The store manager did not know anything about the dishwasher, called me back and referred me to the FAQ page for the item. The dishwasher does not run, and the issues we had with the panel were resolved by looking at the manual (which no one from Home Depot assisted with nor suggested). So, while we were able to figure the panel out for ourselves, the installation was not completed because they did not ensure the dishwasher would run (which it doesn't). We have spent the morning researching and trying to figure out why the dishwasher isn't working on our own because Home Depot is worthless. It was suggested that we schedule a service call and pay to have it looked at when the installer was still standing in the kitchen. We will have to contact the manufacturer. I don't like to leave negative reviews and felt bad that we had an issue during the installation, but this is not right. What an embarrassment to the organization that prides themselves on helping people with home improvement. We will not purchase from Home Depot again. Lowe's has gained a new loyal customer. read more

we are renovating a house right now and have been getting almost all of our materials here. we worked with kitchen design and planned to order all of our kitchen cabinets and all of our countertops here. We also ordered all of the doors for the entire house here. so we placed the order for the 3 exterior doors. the guy told us they were all in stock and that they were going to pull them off the shelves because we were coming to pick them up the following day. we rented a truck FROM HOME DEPOT. when we got there, we rented the vehicle and then went to pick up the doors. they said that nobody had ever gotten the doors pulled and that they "didn't know where they were" ummm... what? What do you mean you don't know where they are? Some dum dum working there says they'll go look and be back... NEVER comes back. We wait wait wait wait. Second person we ask says okay I'LL GO look. Comes back over 45 minutes later and has only 2 out of the three doors right. We didn't find out we had the WRONG front door until later that evening when the contractors went to install it, it was 4" to small. Ridiculous. So the part we were mad about was, here we were renting THEIR truck by the 15 minutes increment and were made to wait by THEIR employees. It was crazy so our charges for the truck were racking up while we were sitting in THEIR parking lot waiting for THEM to pull THEIR doors that they SAID were already pulled. So we tried to dispute the charges for the truck when we came back and they refused to compensate us for THEIR mistakes. That is just bad business. and it's unfortunate because we ended up returning the front door there and just because they were so awful about it we went and bought the front door at bargain outlet FOR CHEAPER and we are considering ordering our $10,000 kitchen there too. If they can't get 3 doors right... what's to say that they can get an entire kitchen right?? read more

Contracted Home Depot to remodel our kitchen. First they ordered the wrong cabinets, they measured wrong and the island did not cover the existing flooring so we had to try to match the stain of the floor. Measured wrong for countertops, the list goes on. They promised it would take 3 weeks by contract and it took 3 months. We had to go one month without a sink or dishwasher, washing dishes in the bathroom sink. We talked to manager after manager with no help. Do not consider any large appliance purchases from this store! The store clerk makes an error when placing the order on store computer when I purchased a "suite" of kitchen appliances which means matching stove, refrigerator, stove and dishwasher. The incorrect refrigerator arrived. Home Depot instructs us to have put back on delivery truck and a new one will be properly ordered. The management was surprised this happened because someone usually catches the mistake at the warehouse and will call and verify if the order is what the customer wanted. Nothing verified. The refrigerator is has not arrived as of today. We were then given the date of 12/14. Home Depot was told we were out of town during the week of 12/5 - 12/10. Receive a call from delivery company that they want to bring it on December 10. Again they were told we are out of town. Told the delivery company we want it on December 14. On December 12 received routine call to verify the refrigerator will fit and that we will get a call on December 13 with time window. On December 13 no such call came. Called the store, the assistant manager told us to call Samsung Appliances gave me a 1 800 phone number. I called they have no record of the refrigerator being put on a truck so the December14 delivery date was not going to happen. Called back Assistant Store manager was gone for the day. Speak with an appliance store employee. She said she would try to get this expedited and she would call us back. The next day, I called her and she never did and that the appliance wont be here now until December 30. Our original purchase date of the appliance was November 19! Everyone in the Home Depot organization is blaming everyone else. This all began because of a clerk placing the order put in the incorrect code. The management is uncopperative and in the meantime I feel robbed the purchase price of our appliances was over $3400 they took our payment in full and do not want to accept any responsibility. I find it hard to believe that purchasing an appliance takes over a month and half and we are still waiting. read more
