I would not give Home Depot 4 or 5 stars since to much is happening and I feel they could and should improve on their customer service and train all in every aspect of home improvements. It's hard to find loyal and caring employees yet some are there but I have seen to many frustration among customers at this location. Unfortunately you can not satisfy each customer and not every customer is easy to deal with. But being visible and helpful and will go a long way. Personally if I need a project done, I compared Lowe's to Home Depot and find almost every time Lowe's wins out. But Home Depot can make a huge impact with more Managers around and known with name tags that say MANAGER. This will show customers that they will get the best direction and help. Seasonal employees I feel hurt business cause they are NOT FOR THE COMPANY AND JUST NEED A JOB.... advertising for Seasonal in a store should be removed and only hire a better representative for Home Depot. On line shopping seems to be the new direction and brick and mortar stores should downsize and have satellite locations with minimal delivery! read more

Customer service at curbside. There is no parking for curbside pickup. Forced to go in and pick up the order , employees barely acknowledged you , and when they do, they are talking to other another employee so you are not sure if they are helping you. When you try to make sure that they are, they reply with "I heard you".I did not get her name because she is VERY SLOW ( took approx 15-20mins just for "curbside pickup"). Had to carry heavy items back to car when I specifically did curbside for this reason. The Employee that brought it out (another female) told me " if they can carry it, then I can" not even knowing my medical condition. The Home Depot stop destroying your own merchandise challenge: difficulty level impossible. I had 2 things on my list: some recessed light trims and materials for a shelf. Goto check out the lights, and it's a mess. The lights aren't organized by size, brand, style, intensity, anything. So naturally there's a giant pile up of people all looking for things who can't find it. The staff are climbing all over everything because they can't find anything logically either. Give up and head over to the shelf brackets. The high end metal brackets are all of them, every last one, covered in scratches and scuffs. These are $20 a piece brackets and they're completely destroyed. The staff are courteous enough but Home Depot lives to ruin their own merchandise and this is no different. read more

The exact measurements I needed were almost impossible to find unless on back order. Lance H. Assisted me for hours on Saturday morning unless I was tapped out for the day. Later that evening I went back out and stopped in at Lowes. I found the perfect refrigerator but left bc the customer service was lacking and I couldn't justify giving those employees the sale over Lance who gave me so much of his time and patience. I went back to home Depot Sunday afternoon after calling to confirm that he was there. We spent another hour in search of a refrigerator. I went with one that was a bit smaller in size than what I need, but having three children at home I needed something fast. I was apprehensive about applying for a home Depot credit card, but Lance convinced me to apply after explaining all the benefits that come with the card. At checkout Lance advised that someone else would get the credit for the sale. On 9/23, my husband and I bought the first 2 Painters BRAND RUST-OLEUM Touche items at The Home Depot. However, I had to spend more money and bought 1 more item because 1 spray because it stopped working, and is still filled with maybe 1/3 of the product. We painted a pendent and had to give 3 coats and it was not covered. We painted seat, when I went to clean it, a piece of paint came out, I had to touch up. We are not satisfied with this product. If the product advertising were true, I would spend only 2 items to paint my objects. I do not recommend this product! I want my money back or another better product! (I speak Portuguese) read more

Yesterday went to this Home Depot location to return a drill that I bought. First when I arrived at the store, a woman name Delfina told I had to go around to another return line in the store when the return section next to the entrance door was empty. So I go to the return line inside the store. Now, a clerk began to process my return. At this time I noticed a guy who came in the store after me to do a return was able to go the the return section next to the door of the store when I was just told I needed to go to the return line located in the store. As the clerk was in the process of returning my items, Delfina came and told him to move over from the register so she can process the guy who came in after me because her cash register was supposedly not working. At this point, I told her that it was not fair to have the clerk assisting me, to move to another cash register just so she can help a customer who came in the store after me while I have to stand there and wait. I asked to speak to the store manager and had to ask several times before an employee named Cordell came to stand by the register without saying a word to me. When I asked him if he was the store manager, he said he was the supervisor. However, he was doing nothing to assist in my situation; just standing there and observing what was going on. Delfina started to be very argumentative saying that she apologized and what else would I like her to do. She definitely id not apologize. She probably only said that because the "supervisor" was standing right there. Approximately 20 minutes later, Cordell the supervisor took over my refund transaction and spent another 24 minutes to get the refund to go through. I asked again to speak to the store manager and was told by Cordell that there was no supervisor available. Almost at the end of the transaction which was taking a good 45 minutes to finalize, an employee named Eli came and asked me how can he help me. I asked if he was the manager and he said yes. I explained the situation to him but did not have any expectation that he was truly going to assist me because when he initially approached me, he seemed like he was bothered that I asked to see him. And just as I thought, Eli the store manager was of no help. I told him what happened how Delfina basically cut in front of me, during a return transaction to service another customer that came in the store after me. Eli responded maybe Delfina was not aware that I was being serviced at the register. I told Eli that she was definitely aware I was being serviced because she asked the clerk assisting me to move over to another register while she take care of her customer. In the end, I asked for everyone's name and said that I would be making a complaint to corporate. The employeee Delfina was rude, brass and had zero customer service. The supervisor Cordell and manager Eli were not helpful and Eli was also rude. With leadership at this store the way it is, it is no wonder that this Home Depot location has such a poor rating. read more

I specifically asked him why his system and the website prices are different. His tone and attitude were completely unprofessional! We recently bought a house and are renovating. We usually go to home depot for everything. My mother in law bought floor tile for us. They are the wrong ones. She ordered them online. She lives in florida. We wanted to exchange them. She paid over $140 per box of 10 and bought 6 boxes. He insisted that they were only 3.02 per tile. Instead of answering my questions as to why do they have a completely different price, he was rude kept saying he needed the receipt. There has to be a way to look up her purchase and if not it is blatantly obvious that she paid over 14$ per tile as we showed him the screenshot of it. Its one thkng to have a misunderstanding with a customer, it is a completely different story when the gentleman who claimed to be the manager talked to us so rude amd condescending. I know if i ordered these online at their store they will be $14 per tile not the 3.02 they wanted to credit us. I try not to write reviews when I'm angry, but I am so pissed off. We came in, knew the model numbers of the multiple appliances we wanted, and bought them with Joseph. Joseph was great. He then told us to go to the Pro Desk to put in a "bid" to save money. We go to the Pro Desk. Nobody there. A nearby cashier says Ada went on her 15 min break about 15 minutes ago. Cool, so we wait. And we wait. And we wait about 45 minutes before I end up calling the Customer Service desk. There was about 5 others waiting for a Pro Desk employee. Eventually someone came by and started helping us, albeit begrudgingly. I think he was a manager. Once Ada showed up he just walked off on us. Ada told us she had been on her hour break and told us how crazy her day has been. Well, cant say I'm sympathetic. Ultimately, Ada wasn't very helpful, she kept talking to us in circles and using terms we weren't familiar with, like "did Joseph stage this?" How the should I know? What does that even mean?? I couldn't follow her logic. In the end, the bid room didn't save us any money. So we wasted about 55 minutes for nothing. And as an aside- Ada had to have taken over an hour break. You can't just have one Pro Desk person on a Saturday morning. That's freakin crazy. read more

I recently placed a custom order for an Andersen 3000 storm door, and after receiving it and opening the package I found that it was not the correct model. I had originally placed the order with the Home Depot associate for the self-storing storm door model, but he had incorrectly ordered the fullview model instead. At that time he had told me the order was final. Seeing as how I am not an expert at home hardware, I took the associate at his word that he had placed the order correctly. I had confirmed that Andersen 3000 was the correct model, but in terms of style, it might've well been Andersen 3000 XYZ123ABC whereas I had wanted Andersen 3000 XYY234ABD. So I went back to Home Depot after receiving the door to explain that I want the door exchanged for the model I had originally wanted. Well, not only was the supervisor at the store rude and gave me a brash attitude, she blamed me for not reading through the 5 page fine print. I then explained that 99% of consumers who make these purchases just take the order with good faith that the associate places these orders correctly. But not only did she continue to speak to me with a blame-it-on-the-customer attitude and tone of voice, she finally scoffed and said she would take back the door, but with a 15% re-stocking fee. But no way would I give them any more of my money with such a terrible customer service attitude. Switching to Lowe's now. Never again at Home Depot. read more

Since moving to the area, I've made several runs to this Home Depot as it's the closest one to my house. They've all been pleasant experiences, but today's visit on Black Friday was the best yet. I needed some home decor items, some tools, and some electrical supplies. Basically had to be all over the store. Despite the huge crowds, staff repeatedly asked me how I was and if I needed any assistance. I found everything I needed and wanted, except one item that had sold out due to the crazy low price. Being a trucking company that delivers to most Home Depot's on the East Coast and beyond, I can tell you most of the ones in MA have horrible customer, or in this case, business, service. This particular one here in Avon. I called to tell them of a late truck. No one answers in receiving. I get put in the queue and a woman answers. I tell her I receiving is not answering, she forwards me to receiving. Back to queue and it is her again. Hold on she says. I go back on hold, wait some time, and sent to receiving. After a lot of rings, someone picks up and hangs up, and back in queue and no ones answers. Call back, and no one answers from that point on. Now mind you we deliver every week, and every time we run into this issue with Home Depots. Just tell them the truck is going to be late, how freak'n had is that? Home Depot in Avon is one of the largest Home Depot locations around. It's right off the highway and is asking for business with a ginormous sign from the highway. It's a huge store and has so much more than the Home Depot in Brockton. Variety is vast, store is organized and clean, and the prices are average for a hardware store. Definitely less than ACE or somewhere else. I was in the area and looking for new light bulbs and to check out storage sheds for backyards, I have needed one for years. This store had everything, but accessing it was another story. They closed certain aisles because they were doing work (how annoying!) and I couldn't access a few aisles. Urgh. Staff are alright, but the woman at self checkout was extremely annoyed when the receipt jammed. And it also seems they were strapped for help in the electric department and the paint area. The only employees around looked flustered and overworked. Parking lot is really a mess and difficult to exit onto Stockwell Drive. Alright spot. Not my favorite Home Depot still. Better for selection though, especially comparing to the Brockton store. 3 stars. By the way, it's Exit 19B off Rt. 24. read more

I bought a lawn mower at Home Depot, it only lasted a few months! I bought a snow blower which never even started, not at all. Went to use it on the first storm and it just wouldn't start either gas or electric start. Needless to say, Lowe's is my store now. Bought a snow blower there for our house up north and it not only worked on the first try, but it kicked butt on a foot of snow. Gonna have to stick with Lowe's. The service at Home Depot wasn't the worst, it was average. But what kind of stuff are they selling here? read more

I had the worse experience with this Home Depot. I'm not sure how my order even ended up coming from here, but from here on out I will make sure this never happens. The customer service girls are HORRIBLE. They are so unprofessional and RUDE. I would never purchase a thing from this store. Nor would I ever refer anyone to go here. I called multiple times about an order that was never picked up. I was transferred and put on hold for over 2 hours. I asked to not be put on hold again and was hung up on. I called again today and requested the same thing. The girl basically just put the phone down and said nothing. I called back and spoke with someone else. Even though she did look into my refund she stopped dead in her tracks while I was talking to talk to a co-worker about things being left in a drawer like I wasn't just speaking with her. I came here in search of corner shelves. I found exactly what I was looking for but unfortunately there were none on the shelf. I decided to ask an employee for help in locating one as I really needed it. It took awhile to find an employee but when I did I found 2 of them standing there talking. I asked them for assistance and one of them actually looked at me and laughed and said "well I am off the clock." The other looked annoyed at actually having to, you know, work and when I showed him what I was looking for, he abruptly told me this was not part of his department and to ask someone else. He did help me find another person to ask, Andrew. When I showed Andrew what I was looking for and that it was not on the shelf, he scanned it and said that it showed there were 5 in stock. He then stood in the aisle staring at the overstock for about 5 minutes looking for it. He said twice "I could go get the ladder but I won't because I don't see it from here." He then checked the stores in Rockland and Quincy and told me that their inventory said they had the shelves in stock and "is it ok to go there?" I left the store, went to Lowes and found exactly what I was looking for and experienced much better customer service. Lesson learned, shop at Lowes. I will not be returning. read more
