Arrangements were made to purchase installed carpeting. On 4/19/26 a representative came out to measure and full payment of $3,120.57 was made. About a week later Yama from Home Depot called and advised that the order and installation was being cancelled. Yama advised that a refund would be issued. On 5/8/26 a refund in the amount of $2,756.62 was received. An inquiry was made as to why the full amount was not refunded. Yama advised that it was a restocking fee and that the restocking fee will be refunded. As of 5/31/26, the $363.95 has not been received. I should not have to pay a restocking fee for an order that Home Depot canceled. read more

I shop here regularly, and I'm better off doing my research in advance and placing an order for pickup rather than asking employees for support or help. My negative experience is largely due to poor customer service. The teams over at equipment rentals and flooring are great. Shout-out to those guys. Everywhere else, the customer service is non-existent. Many seemed annoyed that you would even look their way or ask a question. It is what it is. That said, I usually find what I need, and they're usually well stocked. Prices are comparable and good value. read more

Home Depot does not care about 35 year customers, only sales. They let Citibank do most of their customer relations. I had emergency surgery on the 5th. So my $29 late fee on the 6th was about $15 higher than the balance. I then called Citi and I was assured it would be taken care of. No, it wasn't. I was told they would email me within 24 hours. No, they didn't. Store manager didn't care, said it was Citibank issue. Fine. It says HD on the card. I will blame them. Been shopping at Lowes for a month. Love it. We needed and had our new front door, professionally installed by Home Depot. I very seldom give five stars across the board, but our experience from beginning to end was nothing short of wonderful. The person that helped us select a door, also was diligent in making sure that everything went smoothly and would fit. He honestly went above and beyond my expectations. His name is James (in the Bellingham store) and he owned the project from beginning to end. James would email and call me over the course of the process several times to double check certain styles and measurements. He was OCD for us and we very much appreciated his help. Shiloh and Isiah were our installers. The door was a special order and took a little longer to arrive at the store than expected. The installation crew arrived on time, were very courteous and explained everything to us including some important things about doors that I never knew. They arrived at the beginning of the time window and finished a half an hour quicker than planned. Their workmanship is something to behold and I mean that. Craftsmen that know how to make a door stand out. Everything was cleaned up to a point that you would never have know that a door installation had occurred. They also walked us through testing out the door and made sure we were 100% happy before they left. Amazing experience for Home Depot! Purchased cabinets for a full kitchen remodel at the Bellingham Home Depot at a cost of $8,500. This was my second full kitchen cabinet purchase from them in just over 2 years. The first at a different house was about $6,500. Due to a slight design change one $212 cabinet would not fit so I went to return it. They refused to allow my return because it was past 90 days!! Pretty sure my business will be welcome at Lowe's. read more

Home Depot in Bellingham was quite busy on a day when we're supposed to be sheltering at home. Staff did a good job of controlling the flow of shoppers and ensure everyone was wearing a face mask. Our wait was about five minutes to get in. Our trip was to purchase shrubs for our yard and a whole house replacement water filter. We were lucky to find two very nice flowering yellow peonies plants and tall grass. We weren't so lucky to find a replacement filter as they were out of our size. read more

The Brockton, MA location is the worst that I've visited. I lived in Bellingham for 20 years, and that location is a genuine five star . Over time, of course, I grew to know and become friends with many of the managers and employees assigned to different departments, so I knew who to ask for or go to with questions. When I first moved there, though, there was apparently a guy who either unthinkingly stuck a carpenter's pencil over his ear and left the store without paying for it. It was either that or he stuck a tape measure on his belt and walked out. That also could have been by accident or on purpose, but he didn't put it in a bag or in his pocket; it was on his belt. My wife and I were watching tv about a month prior to moving there, and before going to commercial, they mentioned a story about a shooting at the Bellingham Home Depot. I called my wife over to watch and when the news came back on, they basically described what I just related. They went on to say that the "suspect" was stopped when leaving the parking lot by the Bellingham PD, who surrounded his car, and fired several rounds into the left rear quarter panel! Then the camera showed the bullet holes in the rear of the car. Holy , I said to my wife, they don't fool around in our new town! All over a pencil or a tape measure! Damn! I put that one on a crazy few cops rather than the store, but still, they had to have been the ones to call the cops! They certainly could have told the guy not to leave with the stupid pencil and not call the SS! Getting back to the Brockton HD, Brockton is a ghetto anyway, so mostbut not all of the employees fit the area. There are a few employees that are really great and super friendly and are willing to go well out of their way to help, and they are the reason that I gave a three star review. There is a young guy named Luis that works there (or at Rockland, a pretty decent location that I'd give four stars to) who loaded almost half a pallet of composted cow manure and about the same amount of peat moss into my truck (forklift out of service) when I had an injured shoulder without any whining and a completely enthusiastic and friendly attitude. I HAD to give the kid $20 just for being so friendly! However 75% of the employees at Brockton either can't speak English, have a bad attitude, or have no idea of what they're selling. I usually have to educate them on what I know just to be helpful. Asked about the best paint for concrete and how to prep for it. The kid had absolutely no idea and really couldn't care. I asked him if there was anyone in the entire store that might know. "Probably not." Lord, help me, I thought. Another time I was in the outside garden area asking about the best fertilizers for certain flowers and vegetables. No idea. Got on her radio to call for backup. An older gentleman arrived who really looked like he wanted to help, but his English was too weak to allow him. At least he tried. I shook his hand and thanked him, but the company shouldn't have people on the floor who can't communicate in English. Granted, many of the customers don't speak English either, so they're fine with the employees who don't. Relative to selection and value, all in the area are basically the exact same, so nothing to differentiate there. read more

I tend to go back and forth between Lowes and Home Depot for various items depending on inventory and price etc. Home Depot usually has more inventory and prices are competitive. However, Lowes stores are notoriously cleaner, in better shape and less clutter and messes and the staff are more welcoming and easier to work with. This location is a disaster and I went there for simple Xmas yard decor and the staff here, although a few were somewhat helpful, others were rude and acted like they were doing me a favor. Plus the place is a mess and they have a serious nasty rat problem. I saw two large squirrel sized rats running through the garden center into the store as I entered which is both disgusting and unacceptable. Plus this location is constantly running out of inventory and its just an all around mess. Makes me not want to go back to a Home Depot for anything. read more

I needed to buy a Home Depot product and even though I have not shopped at a home depot since 2015 after I was rudely treated by a manager there I had no other choice. I went to buy some rigid power tools and was looking for a staff member to help open the case. There were some kids with home depot name tags showing each other stuff on cell phones and laughing. I started to walk towards them and they just all split off and went different ways, very helpful. I found a staff member to help me. I got what I needed and was immediately told I need to be escorted to the cashier. That is a surprise. I had several hundred dollars worth of more expensive stuff in my cart. But a few $49 power tools. I was told. "you might just walk out with this" That was the most derogatory stereotyping I have ever experienced at a tool shop. Absolutely disgusting. This bigot escorted me to the front. I said to the cashier. "Wow I like being being treated like a criminal, makes me want to shop here more" she said "well people that look like you just walk out with stuff" WHAT THE HECK?! I decided to only buy the two cheap $49 power tools and told them i'm no longer interested in buying the rest of the stuff in the cart. Maybe home depot should hire some security guards or allow employees to actually stop theft instead of treating people like criminals. Lowes, ACE, Koopmans and local contractor supply houses have never treated me like this. Don't shop here. read more

I have been a customer since 1998 at the Bellingham Massachusetts location. I have praised this store in the past. I went to this location to purchase 4x4x8 posts for a fence. I walked in around 7:45 am & was immediately greeted by a young lady that yelled " go that way". I replied that I was headed that way. She shook her head & walked away. I then asked a clerk in lumber if he knew if they had any 4x4x8 left in the store. He said " look down there". I replied "where" he said "somewhere there" "they are mixed with the 6x6. What a joke this place has become. I rarely ask for anything. I know what I need & know that store very well. Very annoying that when I asked a simple question this is the service I received. This store has gone down hill in the past couple of years. I hope corporate / district manager looks into why this store gets barely a 2.5 rating on yelp. The only great part on the visit was the cashier. Her name was Kathleen & was very friendly & happy. After this experience, I need to drive the extra mile and a half and go to Lowe's in Milford or Koopman Lumber. It' no wonder why this place lose customers. I gave it 2 stars. First star because they had a cart readily available and I did not have to go searching for it. The second star because of the nice cashier. No 3rd because the lady greeting customer was mad at the world. No 4th star because the other clerk in lumber could not be bothered. No 5th star because the posts were curved & knotted & wet/soaked. I was using Home Depot's "Behr" paint and ran short. So I went to the Bellingham Home Depot at 6:30 this evening to buy a quart and finish my paint job. There was one customer in front of me who had just dropped off a large paint order to be made up at the paint department. He told the clerk that he would return later on because this job order was going to take a while to complete. As soon as the customer left, the clerk greeted me and I started to tell him that I only needed a quart of paint, but before I could finish he rudely turned and walked away. After several minutes I walked down to the aisle where the young man was loading paint into a cart. I apologized for bothering him and politely explained to him that I only needed one quart of paint maid up and I would appreciate if he could do it first. He snapped his reply at me stating that he would take care of me, but only after he completed the first order. I left and walked over to the service desk after waiting there for a few minutes, I told a clerk that I was irate and needed to speak with the manager. She went into the back room and said that he would be out shortly. He never showed up and I left the store with smoke coming out of my ears. I've been shopping at Home Depot for decades and have never been treated this poorly. I'm sure that there are plenty of other hardware stores that would like my business. read more

I was very impressed by my experience at the Depot today. I walked in, greeted with friendly faces, pointed in the right direction without having to slow down. In the electrical aisle the women was beyond helpful and thorough and quick. Turned around to depart product in hand, more friendly greetings including to my daughter, and checked out with a breeze. I was in and out in less then 5 minutes with exactly what I needed. Shelves have many defective returned items - be sure to check the packaging thoroughly. Aisles cluttered with pallets, Low or no stock on common items, e.g. - shellac, stair treads, paint rollers. Staff moves at snail's pace when retrieving items from upper shelves - items should have been on shelves to begin with. Changing hardware brands to cheap chinese junk. Store treats everyone like a thief - an employee has to carry any tool to the cash register. The "PRO" parking areas have spaces too small for trucks - material handling carts stored hundreds of feet from store. The military discount "program" is a joke - lumber not included. The cashier turnover is so high you rarely get one that knows how to do the job (there are 3 exceptions). This company is so cheap, it regulates the amount of ink on the receipts - which is easily proven by comparing mine from years ago. I wonder how much is being saved by limiting the lighting to hardly visible. Good luck buying 10 items without one or more missing the pricing barcode. I have shopped at this "store" since it opened. They first called and said they were on their way to deliver it the. 30 minutes later they called and said they didn't have my fence because they sold it to someone else. I had purchased a washing machine at Home Depot, have bought many appliances in the past and was very happy, but this time the washer was suppose to be delivered on a Thursday and they had given us a tracker so we would know when our stop was, just before our stop the truck supposedly broke down, which I don't believe and they told us that the next delivery was going to be the following Friday. I called the person that sold us the washer and she couldn't help, they were firm they could not move anyone else out to get our washer here any sooner, they could have cared less, no discount for the aggravation, next time I will go to Bellingham Electric and help the small businesses. read more

This Home Depot store is nicer than several others I have been to. They have a good sized garden department, and the people that work in it are quite helpful. I have rented tools there. I got what I needed, but it is not a snappy process and if there are people in line, be prepared to wait. They have a very good selection of lumber, and regularly stock oak, walnut and maple which is nice for woodworkers. The biggest drawback is being on the intersection of 126 and 495. Traffic in this general area is horrible in peak shopping season. read more

Home Depot is the place I go all the time for all sorts of hardware, do-dads, and other junk. Normally I go to the Norwood and West Roxbury locations, but since I was in the area, I just decided to stop at this one. This store was surprisingly super busy, and even with the gigantic parking lot, my space was a good distance from the store. This place is BUSY, and expectantly. There isn't another Home Depot for miles, and while I do like Lowe's, Home Depot does carry more products throughout (I think they actually sell about 2,000 more products than Lowe's, or something like that), and they have that awesome price match policy of beating any competitors price by ten percent if you can find a price lower elsewhere. Even with the massive amount of people here, the checkout lines weren't long at all and the stock throughout was fantastic. I was able to get all five things I was looking for very quickly without any help necessary. The garden center had everything I needed, and the guy working in the key making section was super friendly, helpful and kind. Self checkout is available and in general, this is one of the largest and most well organized home improvement stores I have been to in a while. I would come back if I was in the area again and in need of any home supplies, sometimes this place is much more pleasant for home supply shopping than the insanely busy Walmart down the road... Unfortunately I am going to have to take it all back. My installer indicated that they wanted me to be happy. But when I realized that the flooring they installed had "wrinkles", which wasn't visible until it got sunny, I contacted the installer via e-mail (cced the manager) and so far, have had no response. After talking to a few people about it... there is no way they should have installed vinyl sheet over uneven flooring as it shows everything up and, they should have told me that. What good is a good install experience if they leave you with a crud floor? Lowes quote probably was higher because they knew they had to even the floor out. Additionally I have been shopping in the store and buying this product. The first time I purchased it I purchased about 12 only to find that two were damaged. I took it back and told them they were damaged and they just tape them up and put them back on the floor. Because the next time I went those two were on the floor and there was no stock. Obviously, because they thought there was stock -- but the stock was damaged. I bet they just taped it up again. read more

I reserved a cargo van one month in advance to use for moving out of my apartment. 14 hours before my rental, they cancelled my reservation. When I called, they said they did not have any cargo vans available and I was the third person to call about the cancellation (meaning they messed up two other rental orders). I am baffled they had a month to prepare for my rental and managed to mess it up. I am now scrambling to find a replacement to use tomorrow morning. In the past, I never had an issue with UHAUL but decided to give Home Depot a try this time around. I unfortunately learned my lesson and will be sticking with UHAUL for my moving needs going forward. read more

You can do it. We won't help. I stop in here periodically because it's close to work. I say periodically not because I don't do project often (I do), nor because I don't often need building materials (I do) . It's close to work and on the most convenient location on my trip but I only stop periodically because the service is regular so terrible that I vow never to come back and after a few months I mellow out and try again. Rage inevitably follows and I boycott again. It's not that they're worse stocked than any other Home Depot, it's that the customer service stinks. The paint department is better than you, and they want you to know it. Lumber might as well be statues for how much they help you. Try finding something? An associate will look blankly at the aisles just as well as you were. It just not know. That's when you can get an associate to acknowledge your existence. It's not that terrible. But close. There's a few good people working there, but they're the minority, and that's a hell of a thing to take a chance on. I just wasted an hour and half here after a long Monday at work. I went to Lowe's down the road and got it taken care of in a half hour. It may not be on the way home, but it's far quicker. I've given this place enough chances. Your choice if you want to take your own. If you do, don't count on help. read more

This verses Charles Garage down the road who shoveled a trailer out and used a propane torch to thaw the lock and got me going for less money read more

I went to Home Depot a week ago and needed to get some bins... There were no bin on the ground but I saw many above on the shelves. I went to customer service desk for help 4 times.. 25-30 minutes later my kids ages 2,4,8 and 12 were getting annoyed... I went to the CS desk again to have the girl tell me that I need to be patient that she just can't walk away from a customer to help me. I am not kidding... this was 20-30 min later... So after another 15 min I went to the CS desk and asked where she was cause this is insane.. I was told she had a desk in the back area. I did not see the women but there was a man there who told me he would help me... So I showed him the area but he was not license to work a forklift. So I told him that I needed to walk around with the kids an that I would be back after I had a few keys made... Didn't really need any but I needed to kill time... Went to the key area to have the same issue... Women said she was just leaving and she would get someone from the paint dept to help... 20 min goes by and no one comes... some young man walked by and asked me if I needed help and I said I do ... waiting for someone to make me a few keys... He said the guys was on his lunch but he would get someone.... 20 min goes by.... I now search for a manager an someone else asked if I needed help and again I said I was looking for a manager but sure... lets try this again... He tells me he has no idea how to work the key machine... No there is 3 people also waiting and I been in the store for 2.5 hours... after 10 mins the guy shows up... Look, I never had a issue with this store and honestly... I need treated VERY well in the past... I don't want to saw this is how it is all the time or we wouldn't be on here complaining but this one time I was furious... my kids were going nuts and all I needed was some bins. :( read more

I bought a riding lawn mower at S. Attleboro, MA Home Depot with a pick-up at Bellingham, MA Home Depot. The customer service representative at S. Attleboro called and confirmed the mower was available to purchase. By the time I arrived to pick-up the lawnmower the following morning, they had sold it to another customer and then lied about when it had been sold. I found out at my S. Attleboro store that the mowers had been received Saturday, September 11. I was lied to by store manager Donna Augin and told they had been sold Thursday and Friday. Joke. She did nothing to rectify HER error. Only cancelled my order to protect her own ass. She needs to be fired. Horrible customer service. Needless to say, I still have no riding lawn mower. S. Attleboro did everything they could to help me and even they were turned away by Bellingham. They are crooks. read more

Doesn't even deserve 1 star!!!!!! total crap. A store without a soul. I purchased 2 doors in Augst (2020) for more than $7K (paid in full in August). In February 2021 (I kid you not!!!!!!!) they told me that my doors weren't going to fit my house (They took the measurements!!!!!!!!!!!!!), and that I would need to start over! For my trouble (losing 6 months of my life!!!!!!!! and 6 months of interest for my money!!!!!) they told me they might refund 10% of my costs!!!!! Might!!!!!! Ridiculous!!!!! They returned my money, with no 10%!!!! (giving me nothing for my lost 6 months), only after several failed conversations. I will not do business with HD ever again. Recently we went to Home Depot to purchase some new appliances. We were looking for a stove, dishwasher, microwave and two washers and two dryers. We made our choices and asked for help with the washers and dryers. We wanted stackable but full size. We asked a bunch of questions and settled on two sets of the same thing. purchased stackable hardware for them and got only one set no big deal just reorder what we had ordered. The appliances came everything fine till the contractor made us aware we were going to need a ladder to reach the on and off button. I thought no big deal call and get them exchanged. The units have never been installed or used. Though all customer service people understand and agree with the issue they refuse to help. They keep spouting 48 hours, Its been 4 days, they keep saying buyers remorse. We are not remorseful a mistake happened the salesman told us they were stackable and we never noticed or thought of it. Now we need a ladder to turn on the dryer. Our intention was to exchange them for units that would work for us. NOT NICE NO SERVICE FROM CUSTOMER SERVICE Going to have to think about using Lowes. The mistake was made the salesman made it we made it. The units are brand new this is completely unnecessary. At this moment I don't think very much of the unhelpful customer service people. read more

This Home Depot is the worst .My wife went there to get new filters today .She had the old filter number FML1 she told them she needed a new one .They gave her the filter FMS1 she told the rep its a different number .He told her its the same filter it will fit but it doesn't fit .I called and to talk to the manager but they put you on the endless hold.I called corporate to complain so they called the store to get the on floor manager on the line she said I could return it big deal since time and gas is free so think twice before you shop here. read more
