Today I was searching for a storage shed and a particular color of Lantana. There was a spring sale in the gardening center that definitely helped draw a big crowd. Checkout lines in the gardening area reached into the rows of flowers because there were only two cashiers. In spite of the weight, most customers maintained a positive outlook and the cashiers seemed to be handling it all in stride. I will definitely return as this location has excellent selection and generally has what I am looking for at a good price. read more

Home Depot in Boerne Texas really needs to get their act together, especially in the Windows and Doors section. i didn't get the sense that they cared about their jobs or about customer service. One, it was difficult to get someone out to measure our door. They told me they would call back and didn't. I had to make a trip there. They said the door we had was too big and that the installers would have to cut into the sheet rock. But guess what, the person who measured the door measured incorrectly. It took Lowe's to measure correctly, and there is no need to cut into the sheet rock after all. This isn't the only issue that I've had with that store either. I love Home Depot, but really? Someone needs to straighten that store out... read more

I have bought basic home care and gardening items here in the past with no problem. Buying an appliance proved a big problem. It seemed simple: I bought a washing machine, Home Depot would deliver and install it on a certain date, informing me the evening before delivery of the four hour window for delivery they had set. So, on the first appointment they never called or showed up. I called store and they said installers had damaged the machine while loading. Fine. Another date was set. Again they did not call so I called and found out that the replacement machine hadn't arrived yet. So another date was set three weeks hence. Meanwhile, I was on a business trip and they kept coming by to deliver the machine with no appointment and no prior notice. I talked to several people at the service desk and they all confirmed delivery for February 7, 2025. So what happens? They show up on the 4th and call me to tell me they can wait only five minutes. Since they had no appointment and I could not get home in five minutes the machine went back. So I called the store and talked to the service desk again. They apologized, reconfirming the 7th. Then I got a call from the delivery people saying it had to be delivered by the 6th or canceled. I had already moved all appointments from the 7th to the 6th to hold the promised date of delivery open for them. The end result is that the order was automatically cancelled, leaving me with no washer and a lot of wasted time. Never will I buy anything from them again. Customer service was of absolutely no service at all. No one tried to make it right. read more

This is my HD. I typically go at least once a week for something or other. From plants, to paint, to wood and tools, I've shopped probably every department at least once. This weekend I went for some new baseboards and I have to say the store was an absolute mess. It was so crowded, with literal junk, that I could hardly get around and it was a total safety hazard. What are fiasco. I was charged the wrong price for some blades with big display. Had to go to customer service to get it fixed then walk them across the store to show the price was marked wrong. The picture I took that the cashier recommended I take wasn't proof enough. Customer service guy spent more time talking to his manager about the price problem while I'm waiting for my receipt. What a joke, didn't buy the parts after all. Got a refund. Customer service doesn't exist here. read more

Well, their garden center is always well stocked & plants are also well taken care of, not withering away slowly from lack of water/or attention like other stores with plant sections (Walmart) who don't bother watering them & they're marked down, slightly on its way to the dumpster. Also, as someone who is an at home pooper, I was astounded at the cleanliness of the bathrooms here! Kudos staff! read more

Do not buy appliances from this store if you expect them to install them. Installation comes with the purchase and in both instances where I made the mistake of buying an appliance from them, the appliance was delivered but they refused to do the install. 2019 I bought a GE washer and base, the washer was delivered in a reasonable time frame but the base was on back-order. Since they didn't have the base they refused to install the washing machine. Fine, I get it, but 6 weeks later when the base arrived they still refused to install it because I had already put the washer in service. I was told to call customer service and have HD send one of their technicians out to do the install because if I installed it I would void the warranty. I called and they agreed to send a tech out in 2 weeks. When the tech arrived it was the same tech who refused to install anything on the previous two occasions and he again refused to do the install because it would 'void my warranty'. After conversations with the tech, HD customer service, and finally the store manager, I was told that I could install the base without voiding the warranty. When the tech left, he left my gate open which could have gone very badly as I have horses. 2024 I purchased a stove from the same store (Boerne location) and was told by the salesman not to take out the existing stove or they wouldn't haul it off. When they delivered my new stove they began taking out the old one and discovered that it was hard wired in and there was no plug. At this point they refused to do anything. I removed the wiring and they did, at least, haul the old stove off; but they still refused to install the new one. I get that they are not electricians so I said I would handle it... and was again told that this could void the warranty. Not only did they refuse to install the new stove, they refused to even bring it in the house... THEN they drove off, with my power cord for the new stove. I had to drive the 25 miles to HD to get the money for the cord refunded. If I had any other option that wasn't at least 50 miles away I wouldn't even consider buying another appliance from HD. read more

We love bringing our dogs here on a weekend morning. The garden department has been pretty friendly and typically has everything we need to get. Other than that, it is your typical Home Depot. Sometimes it's difficult to find things, but after getting used to the layout it provides Boerne residents with what we need. read more

Tried calling to speak with the paint department. When I was connected representative answered the line "yeah?". I then asked if I reached the paint department and he said "unfortunately ". I thought he was joking so I laughed and said "did you just say unfortunately ?" He then responded angrily and highly annoyed "What can I help you with?". He sounded so angry that I told him never mind and disconnected the call. I will not be going to that paint department with someone like him working there. Scary. read more

I am frustrated. I purchased a JD riding lawnmower ($3k) last spring and they sent me one with a dead battery. I live in another town and have made repeated trips, for MONTHS, trying to fix the issue, even trying to purchase a new battery out of my own pocket, but there's always another issue and I'm told what I "need to do" to resolve it. I do it, make ANOTHER trip back to the store, and they have ANOTHER issue and reason it can't be resolved. Last time I was told I needed to bring them the dead battery. I brought the battery in yesterday as they told me to, still willing to purchase a battery at my own expense, ANYTHING to get the riding mower moving. I was told they had "that exact battery charging on a table in the break room...." and they could probably just "swap it." The girl came back with a message from the manager stating it had "been too long and there was nothing they could do." I sent a heated message back to her manager and the girl, smiled, said "Sorry," thanked me and started walking the other way, back to her department. I asked what she was thanking me for and she said, "For shopping at HD!" with amusement. Yes, $3k for something I can't use and they won't honor with a solution even though they could. I have made some major purchases at that store over the past twelve months and was prepared that evening to purchase a log splitter and fencing after purchasing a new battery. But, I see how important integrity and customer relations are to them. I try to honor local businesses, but I see no advantage or appreciation for that in this store and will look to online shopping from now on. read more

I used this stores third party contract services (FPN) for a flooring job. This was the worst experience I ever had dealing with a supposed professional contractor who messed up the original order and had wrong material for job delivered. Then the wait for the correct material required me to allow for a 14 hour window for delivery. As of this writing I am still waiting for material for the install which is tomorrow. I will never use Home Depot again for contractor services . read more

Sadly i needed a drain snake so i went to the one place i knew would have one. Walk in the door, make it to the plumbing section, start looking around casually, get stopped by an overly friendly gentleman that greeted me with the normal "can i help you find something?!?!" Wanting to take my time and wander around in peace, I politely declined and said no thanks im fine. Continue on down the isle, about 30ft later im greeted by the same greeting "can help you find something?!??"" (Albeit from a different employee) again politely declined. Maybe im being petty but at this point im honestly annoyed i can even make it down one isle without being repeatedly questioned. So i decide to go wander around a different section and ill swing back in a bit when hopefully those overly enthusiastic employees have moved on. Walk around the corner and im am yet again stopped and asked by a different employee if there is anything they can help me find. Apparently i need a sign that says ill ask for help when i need it, otherwise please leave me alone. Sorry to sound like a grumpy old man, but danm! 3 employees within 150ft and within 45 seconds is excessive! Long story not so short, i walked out without buying anything. I ordered a new refrigerator and dishwasher about 1.5 months ago. Absolutely terrible customer service. I bought new refrigerator and dishwasher. The refrigerator was delivered and installed crooked see pictures. The Dishwasher came "damaged" and so was not installed but they broke my old one removing it and did NOT cap off the drain line so I had sewer backing up In my cabinet. I called and reported and they said they would have a new one delivered the next Saturday. I called on Wednesday to check on delivery And they had not even ordered the replacement now going on second week no dishwasher. The manager has never called even though I called and left Messages. I must lower my rating after my latest experience. I found an item on the Home Depot website that as "internet only" (ie, not available in local stores). When I called HD to see about getting a military discount, they told me to go to the nearest HD store and special order the product. On arriving at HD, the clerk was busy with another customer but was exceedingly slow and did not acknowledge me or another gentleman who arrived after me for 5 minutes. Finally, she attended to me. Although very friendly, she insisted that she was "specifically told that we cannot give military discounts for 'internet only' items". Note to HD. Rather than earn my business with a 10% discount, you've lost my business 100%. I will purchase said product from a local vendor, support our local economy, and gladly pay them full price for a product available in their store. read more

I prefer shopping at Home Depot over Lowe's for one reason and that is friendly customer service.The associates at HD smile and seem genuinely wanting to help. Not only are they helpful but will walk you through the do's and don'ts. They are never rushed and if necessary will get another associate to assist that is more knowledgeable. We ordered a built in oven, a stand alone oven and range, a microwave, a dishwasher and a refrigerator. Not a small order. The delivery and set up was atrocious. A week after the delivery we were still finding problems and trying to fix the dish washer leaks. In addition to peeling off protective tape from every appliance. But that wasn't the worse part. While moving the appliances into the house, a large and visible chunk was taken out of our front door. The response from Home Depot has been a shrug. How can we prove they did it? They'll call us back, another department will take care of it - never happened. It was the last time for them, I'll drive a few extra miles to a different store in the future. read more

It's nice to have this store so close to us. Most of the time the staff is friendly and happy to help. On occasion though, we've had staff not help us when we clearly are waiting for help which is why I docked a star. Overall, they're pretty well stocked and pretty clutter free. read more

If I could give this store .5 of a star, I would, & that'd be generous. I believe that mgt, administrative, etc., sets the tone/atmosphere for any workplace. That being said, the Captain of this ship has failed their crew completely! In the multiple times I've been to this store, there has NEVER been enough employees to help customers. When you can find someone, you have a 50% chance you'll get someone in a good mood & is helpful. The last time I was there, I had to get lumber cut. I had a very kind lady call someone to help me bc of course there was no one around to help. After 10 minutes, a young bearded man came up, which I thought I might have interrupted him from writing his dissertation on 'Why Customer Service is Overrated'. I digress, once in lumber, he tells me their "saw is down". I asked how long has it not worked & he stated a week. Wow. The saw has been down for a week? C'mon HD, you can do better. The young bearded man asks me if I wanted him to hand saw my board & I told him that I can't do it, so yes. I could tell he was truly over-joyed by my outlandish request! I told him thank you so much but I don't think he understood bc he didn't reply with even a smile. I honestly think the employees are simply spread too thin & certainly not given the right tools by mgt to do their jobs. Went into the Boerne Home Depot on May 13 and was surprised to find the staff in the garden center not wearing mask. I would think that Home Depot would be concerned with not only their staff's health but their elderly customers also. What a lack of customer service, bought a brand new fridge to find out it's not working properly not even 24hrs later. Spoke with the manager and he refused to let me return it because it was "specialty item" due to the fact that it was black. Absolutely dissatisfied with the lack of customer service or care. Went to shop for material for a deck this past weekend. We just needed a few thing in lumber for setting the post and a few boards. The younger not so gentleman was rude and you can tell he was extremely put out if you asked a question or needed help. We got our stuff and left. Today we tried to match paint and Teresa did a wonderful job working with us. We didn't feel rushed and we were given good professional advice. We also used the cut to measure molding station for base boards (not exact, we will do that at home). We also were able to bring our little dogs. I so love that they are a pet friendly place! I would give a zero if that option was available. I gave them a second chance, I had Home Depot install floors and that project was a debacle that took months to get remedied. Home Depot didn't actually perform the installation but, they are ultimately responsible for the entire project. They installed new countertops in my kitchen and bathroom and there were several issues with the product and the installation. Most of the issues still exist today. It's been over a year and the issues I've tried to get them to remedy are still not corrected. I've had several managers tell me that they will take care of the issues but that hasn't happened, just talk with zero action. I believe management thinks if they just ignore me, I'll go away. I've learned my lesson, I will never use Home Depot for any future projects. I will spend a little extra to have a professional company perform future projects read more
