I visited the Brighton, CO Home Depot (Store #1547) on October 21, 2025, around 8 PM for a return handled by a cashier named Margaret. The product was perfectly sealed and unused, but she opened the box and looked through it as if we were trying to return something else. We had paid using Apple Pay, not realizing it uses a different card number than the physical debit card. Instead of explaining that or helping, she smirked and acted like she was glad we couldn't get a refund. It was extremely rude and unprofessional. We are honest customers and didn't deserve to be treated that way. I hope management addresses this and retrains staff on proper customer service and Apple Pay refunds. If she doesn't like her job, maybe she'd be better suited for the DMV -- because that personality fits perfectly there. We are honest customers and deserve to be treated with respect. Message to Home Depot Brighton regarding Delta Mechanical - Bought a hot water heater at Home Depot. Wanted installation through them. They contract out to Delta Mechanical to do the work. Delta was apparently anxious to do the work. Now I know why. They called my home even before I got back from HD. I called them back. They wanted $1,640 for the install...twice the cost of the water heater! I said that to them and they hung up on me. Ended up getting my money back from Home Depot for the water heater and bought a better water heater from a plumbing supply store. They recommended four plumbers for installation. I called all four then picked one. Bottom line, even with a better and slightly more expensive water heater from the supply store, I saved $849.93 by not having the installation done by Delta! Home Depot....pick another installer to use! In my opinion they (and as a result, you) are ripping off customers. read more

One small local delivery of a few pieces of drywall. I took a long weekend off from work to do a little update project and ordered about 20 pieces of drywall on Thursday for next-day delivery on Friday. Between the store and the distribution center, they rescheduled my delivery six times in the span of two and a half days. I'm not exaggerating that at all. One single local delivery of a few pieces of drywall. They couldn't do it. It turned out to be too big a task. When I called them on Friday, super annoyed after the 5th reschedule, the manager I spoke to, Michael, assured me that he was going to send two guys straight from the store at noon the next day (Saturday). So, noon the next day comes and goes, no delivery. I called them at around 1:30 to ask them where my drywall was. The nice front desk person looked my delivery up and sounded confused. She said, 'but it was canceled.' Turns out, instead of sending his guys out at noon, Michael canceled my order. He didn't tell me. He didn't call to work anything out. He just canceled it. So, I never got my drywall and wasted some vacation time. As busy as they are, I know it means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to them, but they've lost a customer. read more

On January 22 I entered the store with a long list of items. I would like to give a shout out to 3 employees at Brighton Home Depot who helped me to fill the order my husband had listed for me. Larry took a lot of time helping me to locate the power towels and accessories to go with them. Tabbie helped me locate the toggle bolts, screws, etc. that was on my list and Dominic was so polite and happy as he checked out my $720 order. I was in the store for over an hour and it was a very pleasant experience. I believe these 3 people went above and beyond just "doing their jobs". They listened and asked questions in order for me to get my order correct. Upon arriving home my husband was amazed that it was all CORRECT and in the amounts he requested. I really like this store and the employees except for the skinny older employee with the blonde ponytail. He is consistently obnoxious to deal with. Today, I had enough of his condescending and rude mouth (some past incidents with him also that I let slide) and I fired back and ended up in a verbal confrontation with him. He ended up saying that he was just ignorant, to which I agreed. Typical bully. When confronted, they back down. I have no room for those who treat others with blatant disrespect. Since there are plenty to do for the house, we head to this location to get the materials and supplies for the refurbishing and the never ending house remodeling needs. Both of us like this location. They have many more stuffs that we want. The staff are accomodating, approachable and friendly at all times, assisting us if we need their help etc etc. The place was NOT as busy at the time we were there, just the way, I like it. Purchased lots of stuffs today alone and we were glad the items we need were at a bargain price, since we thought initially to be at a higher price than we have allocated. Bought a patio door there and scheduled install. What a fiasco. Installer flaked and managers gave me the run around. After delivering the door they had to pick it up as it turns out they don't do installs on Saturday like I was told when I paid. Moreover, getting refunded for stuff they picked up and service they did not provide has proved impossible unless I go stand in their long line and swipe my card. I'm told they just can't return my money with out my card being there. Just not believable and not good business. Go up the street to Lowes, they may not be better but they could not possibly be worse. read more

I can't remember the last time I experienced truly great customer service. I stopped in the appliance department for assistance with an online order I had placed and Sharon went above and beyond my expectations to ensure the best possible outcome for my situation. After she assisted me, I was much happier with my purchase. So much so that I decided to add another appliance to my order. I would avoid the 3M Paint....and go to a place like Casa Verde way better quality! Offgassing paint is a pain in the ass -For instance rustoleum stray (chalkoleum) can paint you with 300 chemicals resulting in an indoor airquality that is 5 times as bad as outside! What a mistake!Canned paints are high in solvents (lower viscosity) which are so harmful! Casa Verde has No VOC -free of benzene, toluene, xylene and all those nasty chemicals that people overlook! They also have a terrific grout sealer and the paint seals over crappy cheap paint products! Check em out - SafeCoat is way better quality amazing! If you value your family health and your pets i would avoid the first product you see when you walk in the door -Roundup (ewing) and Pest Spectra Products - Dioxins are a killer! What a mistake! Not one for reviews but the way the manager and the associates made me feel was horrible I looked online to check out prices cause I need the tool right now I arrive and I talked to a associate and tells me it's a online deal that they don't match online prices from their own store website wouldn't asked me anything else processed to walk away I asked for a manager he tell me the same thing I let him I know the tool now that I can't wait to order online we walk to the tool dept the dept manager also there they tell me they have the exact same tool I need for more money I asked why can't I have that for the price online they say because it's a different item number. The dept manager scans the tag they say they have 3 in stock but talks to the manager aside and they tell me they are out of it anyways they don't offer anything to help out or to take care of the customer I get that it was such a inconvenience that I was in the store. For all the money I have given Home Depot over the years is nothing. The staff are providing masks and sanitizer right at the entrance to the store, which is great to see. Unfortunately there is little to no enforcement of the statewide mandate for patrons. Upon asking their policy on the subject, I was advised they can't do anything about it. First, let me start off with the positive and the only reason this receives a 2 star is that the return desk is Awesome! The ladies there are very helpful, kind, and their professionalism is outstanding. But everywhere else in the store is greatly lacking in Customer Service. Not only do the other departments not have the people you need at the service desk you desire aka., carpeting, kitchen, pro desk, painting, gardening, etc.; but they have the attitude of, "I don't want to be here doing this job and I don't have or know the information you want, so too bad customer you're out of luck!" The most recent experience has to do with the Pro Desk. I called in to request a special order of Mahogany Wood. The girl said right away, "I'll transfer you to lumber." I said, "Uuh, excuse me but if you don't have this Mahogany wood in stock how are they going to be able to help me. I was told by your return desk to contact you for special orders." She then said quite rudely, "Well I'm busy with an order so you'll either have to call back in 5 minutes or wait on the line." I then said, "Fine, goodbye." Weighing out my options, I realized again, like many of the other departments, that this girl knew nothing about speciality woods; especially if she was going to transfer me right away to regular instore lumber. This left me irritated and frustrated that again I am not getting the help that I need from someone that should be knowledgeable in their own department. This is a summarized outline of all the other departments that we have experienced a poor lack of customer service skills at this Brighton Home Depot location as follows: Painting: Never enough workers, always a very long wait anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 1/2 hours, to get information and to finish your paint order. Gardening: No one around? Ever. When you finally track someone down, they know nothing and will say, "I don't know?" and then they will sort of point in a direction they think it will be. Aaand then you are on your own finding that location. Carpet, Flooring, Tile, and Kitchen: I put all these together because their departments are back to back and they are the same in poor customer service. So the problem here is that they are NEVER THERE and the hours they claim to keep are SO Ridiculous! You "The Customer" cannot have a regular job for a living. Their hours seem to be from 9am-11am, then they are gone to lunch or may not even return at 1pm-3pm. When they are there, again their attitude is "I don't want to be here at this job. And the person you will need is not working today." But then try showing up at the scheduled day the person is supposed to be there and they didn't show up to work that day. So again "OUT OF LUCK CUSTOMER!" **So in conclusion, this store must really have horrible management in not training their employees to know about where things are located to knowing thoroughly their department and continue not to care in really locating what you need. I'm sorry but passing me as you walk by "employee" and saying with no smile or a semi-fake smile, "Are you being helped?" And then when the customer says, "Could you tell me where or how to order X, Y, Z." Then telling me that you don't know where that is or you don't think you can order that or that the person working in that department is not here today." Is NOT Helpful at all! So don't try to have any major order or installation done from this store. It's pointless, frustrating, and more than likely they will get the order wrong! read more

I went to the store... 1st I show up to the to the customer service counter and tell the lady at the front that I canceled my card and and need help to reactivate my card and she said she couldn't help me because her job was just to take the money on the card and I went to a A cashier and she did help me and I tried to get the drills sets and the computer appears at 425 but at the register it was more, They sent me back to customer service and she said that I have to paid more for the drill sets and she couldn't help me and she was so disrespectful on the way she told me... I will never go back to this store! I wish I could give these guys no stars! I went in today and walked all the way to the back of the store before I noticed that, in violation of a mandatory government mandate to wear face masks, that most of the employees that I saw were not wearing them! I'm a Type I diabetic and I was mortified. I left immediately and called the store to talk to a manager. I recently had flooring done upstairs and downstairs in my home. I have to say that without the help of Jacque Sanchez I still wouldn't have my flooring done. In two days (around the 4th of July) I was supposed to have an inspector come to assess the existing flooring. The first one called out sick and the next one said he tried to call but I didn't answer. The 3rd inspector, Luis, came on the next Monday. My flooring was put off until 7/27. When the flooring was installed, Luis and his family team came in and did my floors to perfection! I have not found a gap or anything in the flooring that would bring my attention to anywhere! I am so happy with my new floors they are exactly what I expected and received. This team works together so well, I would recommend them for any flooring job you need. I was in the market for metal roofing panels over my hot tub gazebo after hail destroyed the skylight. I went to home depot web site. Brighton, Co. web site & found the panels I wanted. I called the store to ask for availability of this panel. I was put on hold, I waited. I waited some more. I was discontinued. I called back right after being disconnected. I told the home depot associate that I had been discontinued. "Oh I'm sorry, what dept. Do you need" she asked. I want roofing. "Let me transfer your call" I waited & waited. This call was sent back to the service desk after 10 minutes of waiting. I am ready to go to your competition. I want roofing. Is there someone there? "again she said I'll transfer, one minute"she used the intercom. I heard her. Finally, someone answered. I told them what I was asking about. I gave her the part number that is listed online. After a long wait she came back & said, "We do not stock this. Where did you find this number" I answered. I am on Home Depot web site, Brighton, Co. This roofing panel is on the web site at this store. Again, she said. Sorry we don't stock this product" then she hung-up. This upset me so much, my blood pressure must have been off the chart. I in turn call Home Depot corporate office. I complained about advertising products on your web site that does not exist in the stores. That didn't work either. I was just told "I'm sorry we just don't stock it" I checked other home depot store web sites, only to find the same roof panel listed that doesn't exist. I went to Lowe's. I found some panels that would work, I was told, we did not stock this panel in 10' lengths. Well C×€^! I called another lumber yard. (Stock Yards Lumber) in Commerce City, Co. I explained what I was doing. The sales staff was most helpful. Now, I was on the phone, The sales associate told me to go to their website, from there she had click on this link. She took me throught the ordering process. The 10 foot panels was ready in 5 to 7 days. My go to stores are Stock Yards Lumber, Ace Hardware, both in Commerce City & Home Lumber in Hudson, Co. This review is specific to our attempt to source carpet from this location. We spent several hours in the store carefully inspecting and researching the options given the size of the investment. Not to mention the hours spent outside the store deliberating on the options. We visited at least three times and finally landed on the carpet selection we wanted. We tried to arrange a measure online. We didn't hear from them for a week, so we visited the store to schedule the measure and paid our $50 (embarassing to begin with to pay for a quote on a major investment). The measure was scheduled for 2 weeks later. The day of the measure arrives, no show and no call. Now we're told we need to head back over to the store to get our $50 back. At this point I wish I could charge them for all my wasted time and effort. This would have been a roughly $12K to $15K investment, potentially more had we gone with one of their hardwood options as well. I'm just thankful they demonstrated how they conduct such business before we committed to the investment. read more

This review is for Home Depot in Brighton, CO. Beware of the false advertising! On the Home Depot site, if you read the price match guarantee, it states: If you find a current lower price on an identical, in stock item from any retailer, we will match the price and beat it by 10%. Just bring the ad, printout or photo with you to the register for validation. (This may involve the associate contacting the competitor). When I found a washer and dryer at a much cheaper price from a competitor, with the same exact model numbers, HD refused to honor this policy. There is also a section under what's not included and the washer and dryer did not meet any of those exclusions. I brought in the ad, the mgr even verified it, but refused to price match. The story changed numerous times. 1st story was they didn't match that particular retailer. 2nd story was that they considered a washer and dryer a customized special order similar to window blinds. (yeah right) 3rd story was they would lose money on the deal. (Then don't have something called a price match guarantee) I called the customer care line, they agreed with me and tried to contact the store mgr. Mandy, the mgr. refused to answer their calls. A case was opened and I was given the case number. The next day, the info was mysteriously deleted from the case info. I filed a complaint with the BBB after I bought the appliances from their competitor. Please don't be fooled by these folks. They have zero integrity and they do not honor their own policies. read more

We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door and were asked if we need any help. The associate took us back the garden area, which is were the bug sprays and foggers were located. We were helping my brother prepare for his wedding reception which was in his back yard. We had bought citronella candles earlier but decided we need to spray for mosquitoes and wanted an all natural fogger. We found what we needed with the help of a very nice associate and checked out quickly. The store seemed organized and clean and we will go back in the future if we need any home items. read more

Be wary of getting floors installed by home depots subcontractors. They use a company called home solutions. The quality of install is shoddy, for the amount they charge. So bad they had to do it twice and all they did was lay it on top of the shoddy job, making the floors 1/2" higher. The installers help themselves to your food in fridge and cabinets and rummage through closets and drawers. Keep an eye on your electronics they will disappear. Product takes over 6 weeks to come in and 3 months to get the entire job done, when told 2 weeks for the job to be completed,when the order was placed. It took months to get a resolution from home depot. All they would do is give a credit on our home depot card. But we got our floors with no interest for 6 months. So we didn't pay $650 of the bill. The amount they promised to give us. By the time they applied the credit 2 months later, $750 in interest charges hit. Some compensation! This was not worth the headache. Go to elsewhere, competition will install better and you'll get treated better. read more

Well I'm a huge fan of Home Depot and I would prefer it over Lowe's 9 out 10x. I typically spend on average about $50-70k annually in home depot between two small businesses my wife and I run. Terrible customer service. As a member of the military, I appreciate businesses offering discounts to us. After 30 minutes of choosing a refrigerator and attempting to check out I was told military discounts can not be applied to items that are on sale. I asked if I could talk to a manager because I had never seen the policy before and this was the first I was hearing this. I waited about 15 minutes for her to finally show up to reiterate that military discounts cant be used for sale items. I asked if this was on paper or was it simply her interpretation of something else. She stated she had been doing this at four different stores in other states. When I asked to see the policy, she didn't have it, she was only able to show me on a facebook page where it stated discounts couldn't be combined, she also had typed notes for cashiers which said the same. I find this very disappointing because it seems they are tricking military members. Half the store is on sale or at reduced prices. So how are military members saving? The customer base needs to be better informed, the fine print regarding exclusions should be on everything but its not. Either way I felt it was within her power to override this issue, which she didn't. I called to ask Lowes if they allow military discounts on sale items, they said yes. Guess where I'm going from now on? When I wrote to corporate explaining the issue, this is the response I received: Thank you for contacting The Home Depot Customer Care. I'm sorry for any inconvenience our military discount may cause, and thank you for your service. Unfortunately, the Military Discount can not be combined with other sales or discounts, and our managers cannot override this policy. The Home Depot Foundation also works to ensure that every veteran has a safe place to call home. Next time I'll go anywhere but the Home Depot in Brighton, CO. Kitchen remodel was a nightmare almost from beginning to end. Inexperienced designer with a lot of attitude and little knowledge, manager didn't oversee project after promising to do so, multiple wrong shipments, attempts to charge customer for their mistakes and weeks waiting for correct shipments. Project was completed months after it was supposed to be. It's obvious that no one has to worry about losing their job at this location as multiple problems were run up the chain without satisfactory response. Epic nightmare. I placed an online order after hours and went to pick it up the next morning. I told the young lady at the service counter I hadn't gotten an text confirmation to pick it up yet. She told me the order was still processing. I said I'd be back. Now it's three days later and I still haven't gotten that confirmation. I phoned the store and spoke to a very helpful young man named Aaron who found out there was an IT problem with my order and would be pushing it through the system and have it ready for pick up later today. I want to let his manager know that his attitude and willingness to help is greatly appreciated. It was so nice to work this glitch through with someone that actually cares. So often I run into employees, yes at your store, that just point when I inquire about where to find an item. Aaron should be commended for his excellent customer service skills. Walked around in the showroom area for a little over 22 minutes. Several store employees walked by me but not one offered to help. Left the store drove two miles and went to lowes. When buying the carpet you will be told it will be about three weeks, and it will take about three months. After payment, they tell you the installer will call you to schedule. You are told the installers will call in one or two business days. The installers will not call you, and you can call the store as much as you like, it won't help. It's free because it just won't happen. It is better to pay a bit more and get the carpet installed within the same month. So if you're selling your house, this is not the place to get carpet. It will be months after purchase. If you are like me, you figure you put it on the card and pay it off after the homes sell. This is not a good idea unless you have another company install. I am considering this option. One month and waiting for an instal. read more

My wife and I just bought a house and our oven stopped working a week into owning the house. Called many places and home depot had the best price for what we wanted. We had the oven delivered and the crew dropped the new one off no issues. The problem came up when I went to plug it in and hook up the gas line, and the igniter wouldn't shut off. I called home depot and they basically told me tough luck, because I "installed it". I voided the warranty... apparently every time you plug Any appliance in by yourself, you void warrenty...I was passed to a 3rd party insurance company who took 3 weeks to come out.
