The employees here are rude. I have never been to a Home Depot where employees are rude. I have only had a pleasant encounter at the paint counter with a young lady. She was patient and helped explain the different paint brands. I have been here a few times and every time it's an issue. Whoever works the rerun department is rude and I have heard them yelling at customers out loud. They need to have training on how to treat customers. read more

Purchased a dishwasher from Home Depot roughly 6 weeks ago (apparently thought I did anyway and they did take my money). The wrong model was delivered so did not accept the delivery. Was directed to contact multiple numbers and talked to several sales people and management within Home Depot. Each call my wife or I received a totally different excuse starting with they are doing a dock search for the appliance ordered and it is the manufacturer's fault, even was told to call GE myself. Hmmm, ordered this for and paid Home Depot, not GE directly. Then was told weeks ago over the phone that there were 85 of this specific model in stock and now today they have none. This has been the worst purchasing experience I have ever encountered and feel like we have been getting the run around. When told someone will call us back, it turns into radio silence. They had no problem taking our money and then when we did reach someone, we get the run around. Buyer beware if you are looking to purchase an appliance from Home Depot. I can speak from experience that the customer certainly does not matter to this company. I would not recommend anyone buy an appliance (or any item that needs to be ordered) from Home Depot unless you enjoy spending a lot of time and energy trying to get the item you purchased. I wish I could give a 0. This store is pathetic and frankly I will NEVER order from them again online. Ordered a $1600 all-in-one washer/dryer online. Was supposed to receive the dryer on August 12th. No dice...THEY messed up the order. Fine, no problem. New delivery date on August 28th...fine. A hassle but stuff happens. Wife gets a call today saying THEY screwed up the order again (umm....) and that the only date available is Sunday(29th). BUT they don't deliver on Sundays...okay. BUT they AGAIN admit they screwed up the order and said they sent a refund...wtf! Why would you confirm a late delivery and then state the money was sent back (which we never got back...yet)? THEN the lady has the nerve to say they screwed up and IF we wanted to re-order we would have to start all over. AND she wanted us to drive to the store...hahaha...you have got to be out of your f&^%$# mind. Kiss that 1600 goodbye and we will never shop their again AND we are damn sure going to tell people about it. I have always liked Home Depot over Lowe's, as they have always carried a much larger selection than the latter of the two big box stores. Likewise, this store is always very clean, and easy to navigate. This is my go to place when I need to buy items or parts for a home improvement project. I can always go into this store, easily find what I need, and go back home to complete the task at hand, without wandering around the store looking for a store associate to help me find what I want, which is a big waste of time in my book. read more

Had so many issues getting hardwood flooring from here. I ordered flooring for 3 rooms, and they couldn't tell me what day it was being delivered. After almost having the delay the project, they checked and it had already come in, they had forgotten to tell me. One of the people in the flooring area was extremely rude and I had to escalate to a manager just to get the order status. When the wood did come in. I called 3 times to confirm the pickup time and was promised it would be ready. When my contractor arrived, of course they hadn't pulled it from the back yet with the forklift and it took 45 minutes. Ridiculous when 2 professionals are being paid by the hour. Then as the wood was being installed, we almost ran out despite buying 30% more than we needed, because the quality of the Bruce hardwood was so poor the boards kept splitting. My flooring guy who has been doing this for 20 years had never seen wood so bad. I wasn't going to write a public review, but after reaching out to Home Depot and being initially contacted by an assistant manager to address the issue, I emailed him the issues and never heard back. My advice, go to another Home Depot location or Lowes or Menards. read more

This place always has the odds and ends we need ready in stock. The layout is logical and items are well marked to find what you need on your own as a general rule. You can also find people to help you if necessary pretty easily. It is generally a quick stop for us which is unusual for a home improvement store. We were in here the other night after our towel rack was accidentally destroyed. We easily found an exact replacement, mind you we had bought the original here over six years back. It was on sale to boot, yay! They also had individual parts as an option, which is helpful and would have been cheaper if ours had not been totally annihilated. We also spied some very cheap lightbulbs and pine sol, so we took the opportunity to stock up. No wait for a checkout and the woman who rang us up was very pleasant. I think the whole trip took less than ten minutes. Happy. read more

None of thes employees know the store policy on returns, won't ask a manager, then the manager hides from confrontation and pretends to help another customer and never comes to help. Then when you call to talk to the manager you get transferred until you get tired of waiting. When you finally get through because you're persistent, the manager lies entirely and makes excuses for his absence. It's embarrassing how these "adults" behave when they're wrong. The girl at the paint counter July 6 2020 was very rude. I asked her if a certain paint came in gloss while in the isle. She just shook her head slow and wouldn't speak. Then she couldn't reach some paint up in the air and asked for my help. I gave it to her and she went back to the counter. I gave her some paint I wanted mixed up and she didn't even put a sample of the color on the paint can top and blow it with the blow dryer. She was texting on her phone. I make it home to find out it's the wrong color!!! How can you mistake a color from a chart with a color not even on the chart!!! I believe she did this on purpose!! I will no longer be shopping at the Home Depot. I ordered an appliance from there, and it has been nothing but a hassle since! Dealing with Customer service, no one cares. Everyone bounces you around from person to person. They like to blame their contractors for any issues you incur, even though the order was placed with them. They cancelled part of my order without consent, and don't want to waive it though it was their error. SMH. I will order from Lowe's and Sears in the future. read more

This is by far the worse store in the chain: I purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator in store at the Canton location April 10th and paid for delivery to my upstairs. The fridge was delivered April 30th and they delivered to my front porch and would not take it upstairs which I paid extra to have it moved upstairs. Home depot sent out a repair person who could not fix the issue and sent the issue tot he manufacturer. The manufacturer has not responded and does not have date/time to fix so I called the home depot store to have my purchase refunded and that was My 11th. I still have not hard from the manufacturer or home depot on solution. I want to just get my money back as I have lost money on purchased food which went bad as well as I have not been able to eat properly. The staff in rentals is great to work with. We have rented a truck to haul a tree from Ann Arbor back to Belleville, and we have rented a carpet cleaner. They are knowledgeable, give pointers, and just listening to them with other customers, they really know their equipment. The folks in plumbing are also helpful. I have done several small PVC jobs at home, and they always take good care of me, and will usually cut my PVC to the correct size, even though it doesn't appear to be required. They've also given me solid pointers on using two step compound and thread tape, which helped me do a much better job than I would have on my own. read more

Purchased this water hater from this location last year 2020 and guess what it was my wosrt experience ever. Please avoid this water hater "Rheem" by all means. Within a year it fell and can't hate the water. I called the manufacturing company who urged buyers to contact them for any breakdowns and avoid return their products back to Home Depot. I followed their request called the company and they kept me on hold for over an hour (88 people on the phone line waiting) finally after long time a technisan with broken English answered my call and he ran trouble shooting on the machine and figured the only solution is to return the product. I tried to ask him some questions but he hung u on me!!!! I called Home depot the Canton location and they kept trasnfering me to different people before finally a manager answered Me I tried to explain the situation to him but he hung up on me.. I drove my car on the same night to the location requested to speak woth a supervisor who apologised. I told him I have been 10 y customer woth lowes and never have to deal woth this situation. The only solution he offered to me is to replace the hater because it's still under warranty but still I have to pay the Labour maybe $500 !!!!!! I think the people at this Home Depot are on the ball. Whenever I need to find stuff here, I find it quickly because they use logic to put stuff where it needs to be and unlike competitors who create a scavenger hunt for people to look for stuff. I really enjoy the program they created to hire more US military right after their tour of duty is done. As an American loving man, I can not ask for anything better. I am honored to do my business here. Thank you for taking care of OUR brave men and women Home Depot. This Home Depot location is the big box hardware store I most frequent because it's conveniently located near my house. That's probably where the positive feedback about the store ends. The frustration begins when pulling into the parking lot and finding two prime parking spots and never being able to park in them because they're reserved for the "Employee of the month". Yet this great employee is never around and why he/she needs two parking spots I'll never know. Yesterday I called the floor and wall department to finalize my custom order blinds. I was put on hold for five minutes before they finally hung up on me. When I called back I was put on hold once again for another five minutes. When the employee did pick up she asked me if it would be alright for someone to call me back to finish my custom order. I agreed, and never got my call back. This only motivates me to spend my money at the other big box hardware store in Canton. At least I have options. read more

If I could give this store zero stars, I would. Do yourself a favor and do not buy anything substantive from this store. We spent @ $15K for a kitchen remodel on cabinets, appliances, flooring, paint, etc. After a few initial bumps, everything was okay until cabinets came in, 5 were damaged and 4 were missing. Contractor salvaged 3 so we had something in our kitchen while we waited for the reorder. After the store tried to blame us for the missing cabinets, we were told that a "glitch" caused the 4 to be missed and that we needed to pay for them even though we kept 3 more expensive damaged cabinets. The cost of the damaged cabinets was almost $1400 and missing cabinets are @ $700 so they should have just ordering the missing cabinets and off-set the cost of us not returning the 3 damaged ones for replacement also. This would save them money and would have made all of the waiting and hassle a little more tolerable. Next, the appliances came in and microwave was broken so we refused it. Tried to work with store to get resolution on both issues and we did not get a call from manager for a MONTH and only got that when we kept hounding corporate. The manager lied and said they cancelled microwave "per policy" because of the delivery refusal, even though the lady we spoke to during delivery said they would reorder/resend it. We received an email the day after the manager called me showing that the microwave had been canceled/refunded w/o notice TWO DAYS prior to call from the manager, which was @ 3 weeks AFTER the initial delivery. She said a $200 gift card for inconvenience of the cabinets and microwave was "all she could do" which is a slap in face at this point. Meanwhile, we keep having to shell out money to our contractor to come back and forth and have other unplanned expenses that are adding up because of their antics. Such a HUGE inconvenience, loads of unnecessary stress and the KITCHEN STILL NOT COMPLETE. They keep giving us the run around hoping we go away. Shame on you Home Depot. For a corporation that touts itself for its customer service, you need to do WAY better. read more

I did some search online; but the best advice came from Icie from the south Canton Home Depot; she recommended buying EGO, an electric lawn mower with battery; the assembly was super easy and very enjoyable first lawn mowing; I got also a string trimmer; and I was so happy with the brand; I went back to also get an EGO blower; Thank you Icie for the advice; and you were right; all three batteries can be hooked on all the devices. read more

I have never been so upset with a company before. If you're smart and need something installed do not get it done by Home Depot. I ordered windows. Did not know they used outside contracts for installation. Took MONTHS to have them get the job done right. The contractor will tell you anything and I did not know better would of had the job done total crappy. Think it took 6 times of waiting for appointments and each messing up or saying something wrong so someone else would have to come out. Why Home Depot has such crappy install companies is beyond me. Would it not be cheaper to have decent ones and get the job done properly the first time out and have the customer want to use their company again? I have had another problem after over 2 years. The lock would not work on the doorway. Now going on almost 6 months of waiting for their contractors to show up and each giving a different story and than leaving caulk all over the new panel and muck on floor and the new panel looks like it is scratched or flawed. Was told I would have a new lock when they installed this panel. Nope...another lie. Also contacted the corporate office a few days ago and thought I was finally getting to talk with someone who could help. LOL It was a girl and she was sending them a email BUT no one has answered. My windows are suppose to have a life time warranty as long as I live here. Well, how do you get them to honor this??? Do I really need to hir a lawyer. Will do in a pinch, but often out of stock, and the aisles are often disheveled. eg, the plumbing supply parts are often in the wrong bin, and if you're not cross-checking the part numbers to the box, you'll end up with the wrong part. Store seems to overruse the automated checkout lines. read more

The staff is always very helpful and friendly here. The store is clean and easy to navigate. The only problem that I seem to have at the store is that almost every time I come to the store I'll end up having to go to the one in Ypsilanti. They are out of stock of a lot of things most of the time that I go. I am trying to learn to look online head of time for the things that I need so I go to the right store.
