I'm really upset about my Dad's experience at the Keller Springs Rd Home Depot. On October 1, 2025, my Dad visited the Home Depot store in the morning to buy home supplies for our family. What he expected to be a regular trip to the store turned into a disappointing and saddening experience. My Dad went to the self-checkout hoping to purchase his items, only to be met with rude behavior and poorly disguised microaggression from an older employee named "James". This employee yelled at my Dad in front of other customers and even said: "You don't know what I'm saying," completely dismissing my Dad's concerns. When my Dad went to complain to the manager on duty, she had excused this employee's behavior by saying: "Maybe he's having a bad day." We all have bad days, but that shouldn't be an excuse to embarrass and humiliate a customer who's simply trying to shop. My Dad has had many other issues with this store, but this was the final straw. He has been a loyal customer at this store for 15 years, and we can confidently say that we will no longer shop at this location. I also advise against any other Hispanic/Spanish-speaking people from shopping here. My Dad was able to advocate for himself today because he knows English, but I worry about those who don't, especially during these unpredictable times. I've never had a bad experience at this Home Depot. It's conveniently located next to the Local Post Office and Albertsons with CVS and Walgreens across the street. You can definitely complete all your errands within one intersection in Carrollton. Lol! The staff is friendly and helpful, especially the paint team and the appliances team. They have the patience to answer all your questions all with a smile. The store is fairly organized and clean. They even have tall plastic dividers around the self checkout to help with social distancing. During their busiest times, you may have to wait a little bit if you need help getting things off the top shelf or anything in the lumber department, but that seems to be the case with all hardware stores. Overall, it's a good store and will most likely have what you're looking for. read more

I bought a washer and dryer from home Depot and 2 men came today to deliver and install. I asked for the to please use the L-vent to attach the dryer vent since it has to be a sharp 90 degree turn. FIRST, the main guy said "you don't need it- just ask your husband when he gets home".... and after THAT misogynistic and sexist comment I informed him that not only was I not married and a single mom, I did all mechanical work myself (obviously more than him, as I now see). He THEN PROCEEDED TO INSULT ME IN SPANISH UNDER HIS BREATH, to which I told him that I didn't appreciate that and those comments weren't nice. He didn't reply. He finally consented to install it and then couldn't problem-solve to figure out HOW his new dryer vent hose (which was stiff and low-quality) would bend to fit on it. I offered several options, from cutting it to fit, to using my almost-new one, which he refused. I finally asked him to leave and did it myself in LESS THAN 3 MINUTES!! Completely incompetent in all but basic use of tools, and insulting sexist comments to boot- NO THANKYOU! read more

Replace entryway tile. 60sq ft. A-ward installer came today to remove existing tile and lay new 12" x 24" tile. The tile is not available in the store so we had to order it. I usually purchase a sample tile to bring home so I can make sure it goes with the surrounding color scheme and carpeting. But this was not an option when ordering some of their displayed tile. The first time I saw the tile was on the day of installation and it didn't match what I envisioned from viewing the original tile on Home Depot's display wall. Our adjacent carpet is tan the new tile was a gray marble look. The tile did not look gray in the store. I will try to return the (4) boxes of unused tile as well as the random baseboards provided by Home Depot site unseen. The baseboards were nothing like what I have in my house. And I know Home Depot does have the style baseboards that I currently have in my home. In regards to the laying of the tile, I wanted a 1/16 inch grout line and a brick pattern. I am told by the installer on the day of the installation (after waiting a full month) that the manufacturer recommends a minimum of 1/8 inch grout and no brick pattern. It must be a 30% offset. Home Depot rep and A-ward refused to install the tile with my preferences. It would void the warranty. I told them I did not care if it voids the warranty, I know how I want the tile laid. They said they could not install the tile as I requested. Today's installer was surprised these details were not shared in store at the time of purchase. But Home Depot made sure they collected the full amount for materials and labor a full month before the installer even arrived! I'm going to hire a private contractor. The new contractor said my request for installation is no problem. I will follow up on this post to share what happens when returning the tile and baseboards. read more

Super nice staff, very well organized. Here's a tip - if you are there and you don't know where to find something if you look it up on their website it shows you what aisle that item is on. I love that they have self check out. The store is huge, has ample parking & is really a great price point. Everything here is comparable to any other store. This store is good if you need if you need something off the shelf, like a lightbulb. But, if you want to buy something requires interacting with an employee - such as buying an appliance, or a new front door....forget it. They will call someone to assist you but no one ever shows up. I tried 3 different times to buy a dishwasher here. Impossible. The store is grossly understaffed. The few times I HAVE interacted with an employee - for a new front door or paint - the employees were excellent. Very knowledgeable and helpful. I plan to buy the dishwasher from Amazon and install it myself. read more

Customer service sucks Customer service here is a hit or miss, I came to buy a toilet seat the only one left had the screws missing there was no one there to help so I went to the cash register they said there were seven left I asked for help and she said she will send someone shortly. Long story short I could have ordered one on Amazon and had it delivered before someone helped me. I won't go back as this is not the first time. Also I went to the restroom and an employee took a dump and left without washing his hands so don't shake anyone at Home Depot's hand. read more

I purchased carpet from the Carrollton location of The Home Depot. The carpet I selected had a 7-day installation guarantee. Signs advertising this guarantee were prominently displayed throughout the department. My wife and I selected this carpet specifically because it had this guarantee, which we confirmed multiple times with the flooring associate with whom we spoke in person after an extensive discussion of the timing of installation, and confirmed again over the phone when discussing the quote. The outer limit of this guarantee would ensure the carpet was installed before we were scheduled to move into our new home. On June 22, the carpet was paid for. This ensured installation no later than July 2, allowing us to move into our home on 4th of July weekend. We were promised a call within two days to schedule installation. Nobody called within two days. When we proactively reached out, we were told that installation would not be scheduled at this time, as the single company with which Home Depot contracts for installation was "backed up." When I visited the store in person to resolve the matter, the store clerk said the 7-day guarantee was no longer being honored - despite the signs advertising it still being present in the store. When I spoke with the manager, he said he would work on getting it resolved first thing tomorrow (today). I did not receive a call until 5:09 pm, at which time he stated that the installer was not going to install my carpet on time, did not have a time they would install it, and it was not his responsibility to find a way to correct the problem. This is not an honest store. They cannot be trusted. Do not spend your money here. read more

I went in on a Friday afternoon to purchase a full set of new kitchen appliances. I wandered around the appliance area for about 20 min waiting for someone to show up but no one did. Shortly after a marketing guy came up and tried to make a sales pitch about home renovations but I wasn't interested. I did mention I wanted to buy appliances and he told me to go find someone in an apron. He didn't volunteer to help or ask someone to come find me. I tried to find someone to help but could not so I left the store. read more

I have had good and bad times at this location. I will start with the good, they always have every item we need to renovate our home. The employees are always very nice and helpful. My one bad experience was that I was missing an item from one of the products I bought. But they were more than happy to give us this item when we returned to the location with a receipt. Being evacuated from Louisiana because of hurricane. We started searching for a generator because we may be without electricity for 2 weeks. Found generator at this store. Called to see if we could pay for it so that it would be there when we got there being we were 90 minutes away. Was told by customer service we could make the order on line and and they would pull it and we could pick it up. Called back after placing order online and was told it all went through. We drove to the store and they said they had to cancel order because they pulled the wrong generator and sold the last one we had ordered online. Then was told that just because we order online that it doesn't guarantee that the product is available when you get there. Was told two different stories by the same person. Now we have to drive around looking for another place to buy a generator. We did end up buying one at another Lowe's 30 minutes away and the lady that helped was was great. I would not buy from Carrollton store, ever!!!! read more

I purchased a grill to be assembled and I called twice to make sure that the grill will be ready for me when I came to pick it up. The associate verified and told me that it would be, but turns out it wasn't. I had to wait another hour to receive the grill. Never going to come here that's for sure. 5!stars for young lady at customer service desk who was very helpful in providing me with something to clean a brute trash can. One star for Scott working in outdoor area where trash cans are. He was too interested in chatting with retired Air Force veteran about doghouses and sheds. Even after I walked up to him and waited patiently for them to finish their personal, non-Home Depot conversation which never happened. I called this Home Depot ahead of time at 972-242-8437, spoke with someone in tool rental, and confirmed that they would be able to repair my Kobalt lawn mower. Arrive at the store, bringing the lawn mower inside with me, and only then does the staff at the tool rental counter tell me they will not repair Kobalt products. A sign posted outside requesting that I dial 972-242-8437 made it easy to verify that it was the same place. Now, this prank would be in terrible taste at the best of times, but during the pandemic, it is criminal behavior. I will never spend another dollar at any Home Depot again in my life, and I will urge everyone I know to do the same. I would give zero stars here if I could. read more

This is the Home Depot down the street from our home, so we're here quite often. Most occasions, it's a quick and easy trip. The store is fairly easy to navigate compared to most other Home Depots we've been to. I just now finally decided to review this location for the first time. The wait at customer service usually isn't that convenient for returns and exchanges but the support has been good after waits. There are occasions where a store associate had been scarce and hard to locate when we do have questions...peak or non peak hours. Those are probably our two biggest gripes about the store and this particular location. Today's visit included a little wait at customer service, but once I got to the counter, I was taken care of quickly. I had a Razorback branded trench shovel that broke yesterday, where the head met the handle, and they told me to grab an identical new one, scanned it, and off I went. Pain free and simple replacement at no cost due to the manufacturer warranty. That's the best part about some lifetime waranteed manufacturers carried by the store. read more

This 5 star review is simply for the outstanding service and assistance received. I went there for a part for a yard drain...they call it a 4" pop up emitter, and knew I wouldn't have a clue as to where to find it; I only knew what it was called after detailed instructions were given me from my handyman who installed it. I also took the broken piece with me as back-up in case I couldn't communicate properly about this strange green thing in my hand. Upon walking in, we were greeted by someone right at the door. She directed me to the plumbing department, where another staffer came up to help me locate the item. Nope, not to be found on this aisle. He suggests we go clear across the store to the garden department, and he walks us over. Mission accomplished, there that green thing was with the white elbow attached. He patiently explained how to replace it in the ground. (My friend who joined me on this venture however did know what to do, thank heavens!) Then I inquired about a grill cover, and he walked us to that aisle, and pointed out the various selections, with quite a range of prices and suggested one of the less expensive choices @ $11.99. Got it home and it works just as good as the $49.95 cover !! I rarely go to Home Depot (wouldn't really have any business browsing in a store where I don't know what most of the items are anyway!), but was sooo impressed by their level of customer service. It is so rare these days to see that, particularly in a large chain operation. KUDOS to whomever at the top instilled this attitude in the staff. Way to go !!! read more

Employees are clueless and disrespectful. Loaded up on pavestones advertised on sale at $2.97. Signs everywhere. They tried to charge full price of $3.79 and when told cashier the sale price she asked out loud to other employee if they are really on sale. Another employee grabs a ad flyer and claims they are not. I then have to escort him all the way back to the area to show him ALL the signs, dnt even the small barcode lanes show sale price. So at checkout they say they will go ahead and honor the price for me like they're doing me a favor! The cashier then says " I only work here." REALLY!? Well how about some customer service skills along with that work folks!? Would have said forget it except already loaded up all the materials dnt just wanted to get done. Wouldn't be surprised,.....this is why I haven't shopped here in for a long time....customer service and business practices suck. Will pay more elsewhere rather than return here....and it's 2 blocks away! read more

Oddly laid out floor plan of the store but we were able to follow the signs and finally locate the paint dept. which btw was not prominently located at all. From there we chose paint colors and experimented with their computer that shows how each color might look in a home. We ordered some paint samples but they didn't have samples to sell in the sheen we wanted which was eggshell a totally common sheen. In any case we got our substitute items and paid for them and left. I gave four stars bc we were there at 10pm checking out and i noted that we weren't rushed out or shouted at about closing time by the store loud speaker. That was refreshing and made me feel more relaxed as we shopped. Will definitely return to this location. read more

This is the closest Home Depot to our house, and generally I can find everything I need here for a do-it yourself project or something around the house. Overall, I have found them to have good customer service. They even exchanged and remade keys for me several times that didn't work when I had copies made. I also like that you can pick out and order items online, pay for them online and pick them up at the service desk in the store. read more

My first time here at this location was a really positive one. We are preparing to sell a home in Carrollton and popped in here for various supplies to fix the place up. Therefore, we visited numerous departments within the store and found the things we needed and had several positive interactions with the staff working here. We ordered carpet installation and the staff in this department were extremely helpful in both making suggestions and getting us the carpet we wanted. The same staff members helped us in cutting some blinds to fit the windows in our house. They were knowledgeable and saved us money when we were unsure of the best way to go. The people in the paint department were great in providing suggestions and feedback to our questions as well. The store was clean and well stocked. We found the items we needed and we will definitely be back. read more

I frequently visit this garden center for most of my landscaping supplies (they carry my fave brand: Scotts Garden soil). This is a smaller garden center than some others I've seen at other Home Depots but they always have a great selection of plants: annuals and perennials. This location is always one of my first stops when I'm on a nursery run looking for that extra pop of color to add to my garden. Generally, the plants are in great condition, the customer service is excellent and the prices are just right. I've purchased many other home improvement items from this store: from parts to a string trimmer to light fixtures and automotive tools. I generally don't have any problems finding what I need at this location. Another plus: this location also offers tool rental; a must-have for any serious home or garden project. read more

Why can't this Home Depot have registers open closer to the main entrance? I was their today and I have a walking boot on and used a buggy instead of the motorized cart, like I have in the past. I enjoy the employees at this HD as they are very friendly and accommodating but the registers or lack of them is just awful. Ended up using the self check which I do not like because we encountered a problem with a item that we tried every which way to get the bar code to scan. Finally had to call the gal that was working that area to come and scan for us. If you are going to promote self check please get two employees to work that area when people are waiting in line to self - check. Recently Costco stores in did away with the self -check, why can't HD do the same thing?? read more

Went up to customer service to price match a dryer hose and they don't price match with Amazon.com. The Lewisville location said they would like everyone online said as well. The lady at customer service said they don't match amazon because "their price changes so much." Not a valid reason. I ask her where it shows who they price match, she said she didn't have anything to show me. I asked.. then how to you know you dont price match amazon??
