Came in because i had purchased the base of a christmas tree a few days prior but noticed as i was assembling it that it was missing the screws. I came in and was greeted by Stephen. He was very sweet and offered me a water while he waited for me to find a picture of the Christmas tree base i had purchased. We spoke for a bit and he was wonderful. I was told to go to the garden section to get some screws and the lady (i wish i remembered her name) was very helpful. I was given the screws at no cost because i had provided proof of purchase without the screws and as it just so happens as i was looking at other bases, many bases were missing screws and the lady told me that she would look into that. The whole experience was very easy and smooth. Everyone i encountered was sweet. Great customer service. read more

What a ridiculous business, They didn't carry product in store, so I had order online. Delivery was set to be delivered 3 days from day of order. Track delivery and item was out for delivery. Never showed up. Called customer service and they stated that item couldn't be delivered because of a error on the address. We have had other items delivered so I questioned where the item was? I was told it was sent back. I requested a full refund and was told it will take 3-5 days. I will never enter or order from The Home Depot again. I don't know who these big box stores think they are when you have to pay in order to find out when they want to start. I called and canceled my order. I have never seen so much incompetence. Thank you for helping me decide that I will never trust a project to you EVER! I got an estimate for flooring, paid, and they charged my card twice, for two different amounts. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE business behavior. A manager is supposed to follow up with me, while my money is tied up for who knows how long. I want to warn the public about this occurence. You can not tell me you don't have protocols in place to make sure this doesn't happen to a customer. I can not even begin to emphasize how UNACCEPTABLE this type of behavior is from a company. Tools are in the wrong places and had a Dewalt 20v vacuum cleaner displayed for 100$ and when I went to check out it rang up 160 they would not respect the fact that they displayed it for 100$ and that is not my fault they put for that and still would change the price and the tool was in a lock cage so there was not way that I put it there to get it cheaper I see it as bad for business and makes me not want to shop here anymore so hopefully they can work on some things to resolve issues like this read more

Just came in quickly today with my mom to get paint. Michael helped me immediately and was really kind. He tried to match the paint I needed for my bathroom to his best ability even though he didn't have the brand there. It worked!!! Now my little annoyance of seeing chipped paint is gone , Yay! I really enjoyed that this location has a nice selection of indoor and outdoor plants! Especially in the colder months right now (January). I was pleasantly surprised to see a variety of cacti and succulents. I've found / a lot of the times in different stores the selection gets soo boring and picked over - maybe I just came at the right time or maybe this location just does a good job keeping up their inventory. read more

Be careful when purchasing lighting from this location, we got a light fixture and it looked like it had been dropped the way it was bent (of course, we will be exchanging it). The paint department was quick and helpful, we got our 4 samples in less than 10 minutes. The attendant at the self check-out was a bit distracted talking to another coworker but we finally got her attention to help ring up a larger item. We understand covid has wreaked havoc on supply chains so they have been waiting patiently and making do for weeks in good faith but they were told the fridge has arrived and the delivery people have SCHEDULED A DELIVERY AND GHOSTED MY PARENTS 4 TIMES. I have to say Home Depot has given me better service than Lowe's. I had a Honey Dew list. My wife put down paint an accent wall. Hey, just one wall was better than 4 or whatever. So I went to Lowe's first, it was closer. I could not get anyone to wait on me there. So I went to Home Depot, I had two people helping me. One was telling me jokes and the other was mixing colors and picking out paint. Well nothing like being entertained and taken care of at the same time. I came home with a few samples to see which color would work. I found the color and went back and purchased the paint. I have to say the service was excellent and the paint department is right on the ball. I got the best paint they had. I always say if you buy the best you will never be unhappy. Well I was not unhappy and my wife giggled with delight when she seen the wall. Just to see her with that look in her eye and smile on her face. Priceless ! Thanks for the great service Home Depot ! Stopped into the Home Depot at Crossroads Shopping Center in Cary, NC, today to return an unneeded item. My husband and I were embraced with such amazing customer service that we couldn't believe it. First at the return desk we were offered each a cold bottle of water. The return was routine....no problem. We ended up buying a porch setting of table and chairs and the return person did everything he could to make it a very enjoyable purchase transaction also. They only have self check out so we appreciated his service! We were excited about the purchase. After that concluded we continued our shopping in the store. At customer self check out AGAIN we experienced above and beyond care and attention. In each transaction they asked us if we were veterans and gave us 10% discount. They brought it up first!! They were each professional and happy and cared about us. We definitely will go first to The Home Depot now for any home improvement items we need. We will be loyal. They both told us they like their management and enjoyed their work very much. I returned to the web site to order more and found the same $99 item available at the Garner Home Depot for $10 less. Still the same $99 price in Cary. Both prices are before tax. Why I went to Lowe's- Stood at the paint counter for 25 minutes while the only person working there assisted a contractor with a very large order. The woman working at the counter knew we had been waiting a long time but didn't bother to call anyone else or acknowledge we were waiting a pretty long time. I understand if there are a lot of customers and you have to wait your turn but there should be a plan for dealing with contractors while other customers are waiting for a single quart of paint. I am doing yet another home project and will once again be shopping their competition Lowes. As in the past the item I wanted at $287.47 is not stocked in the store and must be ordered online. My problem unlike Lowes you can not use your military discount when ordering online. I asked the lady in customer service why and she was no help at all and seemed to be bothered. With Lowes once you provide the proper forms you are in their system and can use your discount instore or online. This review is SPECIFICALLY for their pick-up truck rental. They only have 1, so call the store and make sure it's available before you trek over to Crossroads. For $35, I got a F-250 for 90 minutes. The a/c worked, it ran just fine, and it was easy to load. The bed isn't a traditional truck bed - it has a metal box that's not quite as deep. But, I was able to take my entire collection of yard waste to the Cary refuse center in one trip. Something that would have been 40 or 50 trash cans worth. The computer wasn't happy when I tried to pick it up, but the service lady - who has been there for 15 years apparently - was very professional about it, and got it sorted out. For the store in general - the location is horrible. I live next door to the Lowes on Chapel Hill road in Cary, and I never go to the HD. For renting other equipment, the HD in Faraway-Varina is pretty nice too. read more

Spent $30 on a 2 year warranty on an echo es250. The machine quit working on me after two-three months so I take it back to Home Depot where they tell me they won't exchange it and I have to call there technical support/ warranty hotline where I waste 25 minutes of my time just for them to tell me I have to call echo and go under the manufacturer warranty. Their warranties they're selling are BS and won't cover anything until after the manufacturer warranty runs out. read more

I really like this Home Depot. The place is clean, well stocked and the staff is almost too friendly sometimes. In the service game, if you're going to error somewhere, the side of "too friendly" is a good place to be. I've almost always found what I wanted here, and for the most part the staff is knowledgeable and ready to offer assistance and suggestions for the small to medium DIY projects you might be considering. Every now and then, the helpfulness gets overwhelming, as different associates offer different advice about how to do a project, but it's not bad. My only negative comment would be the guy in a tie, walking around asking people if they found what they were looking for as if he's a manager, when he's really a salesman for their kitchen cabinet service. It was annoying to have to throw up my sales defenses and engage in conversational evasive maneuvers while trying to get the materials to build a vegetable garden. read more

I was quoted a price in september for a water heater installation and was told they'd save the information so that when I was ready to purchase, it would be in the system. I went to place the order a few months later and was told the information was gone. That's fine. They'd work it all up for me again. The price ended up being TWICE what I was originally quoted. The person who originally quoted me no longer works for this company, and no notes were taken other than a phone call took place. As if all of that were not upsetting enough, I was offered no apology and the person handling my concerns was rude. I will never make another purchase at Home Depot. You have completely lost my trust. I've made many purchases in the past, but you've lost a customer today. Buyers, make sure you get quotes in writing. Demand that they email you the prices. I'm reviewing the outdoor/gardening section of Home Depot. I really would not come here for any of your gardening needs besides maybe buying containers or pots. The potting mixes they have are awful. I would definitely go to a nursery to buy vegetables as well. The transplants sit out by the parking lot and wither away in the sun. But most of all do not buy an indoor plant from here. I bought a small palm from here, and, while cheaper than most, it has cost me more money in the end. By the time I had found out the palm was infested with spider mites, they had migrated to my balcony garden and almost wiped everything out. Today I was in this Home Depot and had a question about where I could find a hose that would divert the water coming from my gutters. I went to find a Sales clerk and discovered one at the end of the aisle 14. He was talking to another customer and then he, Sales clerk, began to tell a story which lasted over 8 minutes. minutes. I finally interrupted and said can I get some help. The other gentleman turned around and said to me I'm not through. The sales clerk then said if you have a quick question and I can help you. So I asked where I could find the gutter hose I was searching for. And he told me. This is not the most convenient HD to my home but nearby shopping to other retailers and of course, the customer service has made the hassle of the drive to score big at this location. 5-stars on multiple visits. 11/9 Fri early am visit - Sandy in Pro Services provided superior customer service. My black 'n decker blower/mulcher/vacuum got a work out from the falling leaves. After I finished went to disconnect from the extension cord and could not separate. Fortunate to have assistance to separate although part of plug was in the extension cord. Packed both items in the trunk and drove to HD. Luckily for me, Sandy was there to assist me with my inquiry. Sandy looked at the items so that I did not need to drag them into the store. She assured me it was an easy fix. I initially thought I need to drop off for repairs with a "professional". Fortunately, she walked me to the part (plug) and provided beneficial information to reassure me to complete the repair. I watch a YouTube video and success. Fantastic saved me at least $60 and the part was under $5! I wanted to make sure it would work before investing in a new extension cord, etc. 11/17 Sat early afternoon came back for the extension cord. Mickey and David assisted me with a new extension cord as it is overwhelming with so many choices. Plus, I had another issue which David directed me to the appropriate aisles to pick up those items. A gal at the register checked out my items for me and my entire visit was a very pleasant experience. Courteous and patient employees are key to assist customers especially those that may require assistance with their purchases which I am grateful. BUYERS BEWARE!!!!!!!! I have never written a review before but i am hoping if you are in the market for new appliances that i can save you the frustration and aggravation that we experienced after our purchase of a new washer and dryer at the Home Depot in Cary Crossroads! I am NOT pleased with our experience with our point of sale at Home Depot Crossroads in Cary North Carolina. Supervisor of appliances Karen. We had an issue with in 2 days of installation with water leaking from the hot water hose attached at the washer and filling the overflow pan. When we contacted Home Depot sales person Craig, the absolute quickest appointment he could have an installation recheck was 5 days later. Yes 5 days later on a brand new washing machine. So 5 days later a new installation guy came in and spent all of 30 seconds looking at the washer and said it was fine although I begged him to please take a closer look and explained our issues. He said it was fine. So thinking perhaps we were imagining our overflowing overflow pan, I did a couple of small loads to check. On the 3rd I checked everything stepped away briefly to return to the overflow pan filled and overflowing and water spraying out of the hot water hose attached to the washer. I was able to catch most of the water in time with dirty blankets and towels because we were unable to use our washer for the previous 5 days because no one could come and check it. Fortunately we soaked up most of the water and prevented it from running from the 2nd story onto the first floor. I called Karen the appliance supervisor at Home Depot on the next business day. Our installation recheck had happened on Friday. The 2nd overflow happened on Saturday. Karen was completely unsympathetic and I don't recall her ever saying that she was sorry this had happened or showing any type of concern for us as consumers and purchasers of 2 brand new appliance - a washer and driver. She said she would call and get an LG tech out. Again, this was on Monday, and when she called back, the soonest she could get someone out was Friday. I can honestly say that was NOT acceptable. I had new appliances that I was unable to use for over 2 weeks with smelly laundry piling up. She explained that it wasn't really their fault though because they're dealing with 3rd parties, she never explained the process- that we might get a call from an LG call center or anything and when i did i was very frustrated to have to retell the story over and over. Home Depot did nothing to help us resolve our issue. I'm sorry but that is not my problem. I would never under any circumstances ever ever buy an appliance from Home Depot again. We were in this circle of who to call, who can help me, etc. and it was confusing and frustrating to say the least. Karen did say there might be a way for us to get compensation when we get our issue resolved but I'm going to have to let some time pass before I can pursue that. I can only imagine all the hoops we will have to jump through to get that to happen. I think you should know as an appliance manufacturer that this is the type of service that your consumers will get through Home Depot especially the one at Crossroads in Cary NC. While I am enjoying my washer and dryer now, this whole experience has been less than satisfactory. All this could have been prevented if the installation guys on 2 different occasions had done their job correctly! Total of 16 days we waited to have our washer repaired. We never received a follow up phone call to find out if our washer was repaired either. Shame on them! The LG Tech was great and spent plenty of time and was thorough and pleasant and knowledgeable! read more

The Cary Home Depot needs new management and new employees. Maybe Home Depot should pay the workers more in areas like Cary so they can hire good people. The 2 stars was for the knowledgeable man named Mark that waited on me in flooring. I could give him 5 Stars as he was helpful. But he was from another store and I am reviewing the worse Home Depot ever! I waited for about 20 minutes to trying to buy a dishwasher- one guy stayed with a customer telling stories and the other guy was working on a kitchen design. Finally, I looked at my husband and said "Let's Go-Best Buy will match prices". The guy working on the kitchen looked up and decided he might be able to wait on us. I asked about the Home Depot warranty when I remembered how bad they treated me when I bought a $1,000 lawnmower that was a total lemon. It stayed in the shop for months and never worked well. They didn't care. We left and went to Best Buy as we are Elite BB customers. Best Buy will take back an appliance for any reason during the first 45 days- No questions asked when a customer has Elite status. Best Buy matched the price on the KitchenAid Dishwasher and I received great service from a store that I trust. Home Depot should put their appliance sales staff on commission and train them well.
