I came in to pick up an online order and needed to grab one additional item from the shelf. This store is extremely cluttered! They have product bins down the majority of the main center isle, which isn't that wide to begin with. Pair that with customers pushing carts and flatbeds through the store and it's a literal nightmare. On top of that, the aisles are cluttered with shopping carts full of products that apparently need to be stocked. It's a mess. I do like the locker pickup option. I selected in store pickup and within minutes received a code for the locker my item was placed in. That part worked like a charm. The positive side is that they had what I was looking for. But they need to give some serious attention to the mess. read more

This store did not follow their "price match guarantee." I have a Home Depot gift card, so I wanted to use that on a product in the store. I noticed that Walmart had the same item in stock locally, sold by Walmart (not a third party), and not on a going out of stock sale. I called ahead and confirmed they price match Walmart with the above criteria and even asked in the store. When I got to the checkout, I was told that they DO NOT price match Walmart and would not price match the product. I didn't cause a fuss since I've been on the other end of that before. I just left. I called corporate to confirm and they said they indeed price match Walmart if it fits the guarantee, which it did. Incredibly disappointing. Here is the guarantee on the website: Requesting a price match is a simple two-step process: Step 1: Identify the competitor's price Ensure that the item you want to price match is identical (same brand, model and size) to the one sold at Home Depot. I went to the paint counter and patiently waited for an employee to turn around and help me. When she did decide to help me she said hello then proceeded to help someone that came up after me I nicely told her I was there first and the employee and the guy that I watched walk up after minutes of me standing there said he was first they were both rude and she saw I was there first because she turned around and looked at me before she decided to help me. The local store is great. However, on December 24, I ordered an appliance which was not in stock at the local Home Depot for delivery to my house. The initial order said that the order would be delivered on January 5. Then I received a text saying that the order would be delivered in an additional 1-3 days. No delivery. On January 9, I called the call center in Georgia to ask what was going on with the order. The people I spoke to, Natalia and Asha W., kept telling me they could not answer my question about whether the merchandise had shipped until I "vertified my order", even though I gave them the order number {which they obviously could see on line}; and I was calling them from the phone number listed on the order. Thirty minutes later, I finally heard that the merchandise had not shipped although I had ordered the merchandise 15 days earlier. No one had notified me that no product had shipped. I canceled the order and discovered that my refund may be delayed as much as 10 days. The local store has helpful, knowledgeable employees, but the corporate department for ordering merchandise is very substandard and unhelpful. They have quite a few options of indoor and outdoor plants, as well as trees, pots and landscaping equipment. Was able to run in here to buy a special tool for some computer issues that required me opening up my laptop case. The good thing is that I was able to look up the tool on the HD website and see where exactly (aisle and bay number) it was located AND if it was in stock. This location has a strange way entrance/parking lot situation because, yes, it is located at a stop light, but then you have to take an immediate left to turn in... after my life flashed before my eyes seeing a FedEx truck barreling towards me from the other business area, I made it into the parking lot and proceeded to realize that they had unloaded all their outdoor garden supplies into half of the parking lot to the parking was "one way" in. Aside from the traffic and parking, the staffer was friendly... they must have just redone the front of the store cause everything leans pretty much on self-check-out and the two regular registers have these plexiglass dividers for covid... I'm sure it gets awkward trying to move around and scan in the larger home depot items, but their scanners are wireless - so there's that. I guess if this is what registers will look like, post-pandemic, it's safer? I do want to note that the speed of the self-check out line caused a lot of people to bunch up in the front (there was not much room to form a socially distant line). read more

I just be carefully they they will discriminate you for how you look and even you're innocent they'll try to find a way to get you arrested and press charges. TLDR; put my phone and screws driving in my hoodie pocket just to put my phone in my pocket and took out the screw driver immediately out my pocket , paid for everything and they still called the cops on me after they found nothing in me an I showed them the receipt I paid for everything, took hours of my life dealing with their bullshit do not shop at this Home Depot on Wendover off independence go anywhere else because if you do something they think is slightly suspicious they will bitch at you hard even if you prove you didn't they'll still try to acuse you I just got lucky the cops looks at the. It's hard to even describe the level of incompetence with purchasing an appliance. I bought a refrigerator, to be delivered. The delivery team cut the water line from my sink to the fridge in half, turned of all my water and then told me I would have to call a plumber to fix it because they can't. They also refused to swap the direction opening of the fridge doors, because "we don't do that". Call the store and you'll have to pay someone to come out and swap the doors for you. So I've been on hold multiple times with store manager and appliance rep, keep getting hung up on, left on hold for 30 minutes more and now the answer is, we'll get back to you. I have no water in my kitchen at all, and the doors are facing the porch instead of facing into the kitchen. Will never purchase an appliance from Home Depot again. My wife and I were doing yard work and needed a rental tool from Home Depot. The tool was great but the customer service was bad as usual. Rio helped me and interrupted me throughout our conversation. He explained the tool was dirty so their was a $50 cleaning fee. I hosed it off before i dropped it off and yes there was mud still on it. I asked him how I should clean it off in the future. He simply explained "no mud". I then explained I'll hose it off for him now and to please show me the hose. He said no, we'll just charge you the cleaning fee. He then told me it was broke. I took the "broke" piece off when I first got it because it was put on incorrectly by the person who gave it to me (sorry I don't repair things the wrong way). Their protection plans by Allstate/squaretable are horrible. Terrible setvice. They send unqualified technicians to your house and send wrong part multiple times. I cannot get any resolution and they seem to only communicate via email. If you get someone by phone they are not helpful, unprofessional and don't care. I have been told to fix the washer myself and then come back to SquareTable aka Home Depot protection plan to see if I can get reimbursed. I paid for the protection plan and now they won't fix my machine and seem to have no knowledge about parts since they send the wrong ones and incompetent techs. This is a rip off and almost fraudulent. Home Depot should be ashamed selling this protection plan to customers. I love wandering through home improvement stores. I can look at tools and doors and toilets and think... man, I wish I could do something other than slice open my finger with that! It's true. I'm extremely clumsy with tools, so my wife has seriously limited the number of projects that I'm "allowed". So today, I was in Home Depot to get replacement light bulbs. The new apartment into which I have just moved is fully loaded with incandescent bulbs. Aren't those illegal these days? Anyway, I picked up a couple of boxes of CFL bulbs and even managed to get one of the orange-aproned dudes to help me find the ones with the smaller base for the chandelier. Very friendly staff, very large parking lot. Prices are decent, compared to the other big box shops. I just wish I could do more stuff! read more

On Cyber Monday I purchased a small mini fridge on the Home Depot website and had it delivered to a store near my daughter's home as a gift for her. I was notified by the store that the item had arrived but by then I was suffering with a hip injury and could not go to the store to pick it up. Unfortunately, my daughter would not have been able to pick it up either because the person who ordered it needed photo ID to pick up the pre-paid item. I eventually had to ask the store to schedule the item as a delivery order instead. The store policy did not allow the transfer of delivery but required instead that I cancel and re-order the item. It was not going to work because I did not have the extra cash to order a second item without the benefit of the refund for the first item. The store advised that the refund should be received in 3-4 business days. They also advised that they would note the file of the price paid on my account so that when I was ready to call back that I would get the item for the same price. Well in exactly 3 business days, I did receive my refund. I then called the store to place the order for delivery and guess what, I was given the original price as promised. They even waived the delivery charge! WOW! I was impressed. In addition to the offering just a few days before Christmas, I want to add that both of the two customer service reps were extremely pleasant. The service that I received from Home Depot over this holiday season has been extraordinary. I am now also looking forward to the delivery happening prior to Christmas. read more

Tried on numerous occasions to phone in a purchase of 3 appliances from Home Depot. This is my go to store for many things. Unfortunately apparently they are fortunate to get workers and are hiring a lot of temps. Lots of complacency, bad or blazah attitudes of employees. The older gentleman with the cart in plumbing -the best, tops, always ready to help and very knowledgeable. The attitudes toward me concern me such as turning and walking the other way when they see me or other customers or generally barely kind people. I pray this is Covid and not continuing from haters. Oh the quiet and wonderful young lady in hardware and the wonderful hispanic lady manager are superior. I went to Lowe's for the appliances and Bullet(real name) and Kiaya were excellent. Nice HD. Not the closest location to us but we came here because we needed tile for our floors and this location had it in stock in the amount we wanted. The staff was friendly. We got to the tile section and a gentleman immediately helped us. The tile was way above the top shelf and needed a machine to get them down. Someone used the machine and got them down for us. We were able to open up the boxes and inspect them. Cashing out was a breeze. No issues here! read more

Despite my overwhelming love of this place, they have decided to not allow dogs inside anymore. This decision comes after a dog bit and associate, as told to me by the self-check out associate. The NO DOG policy will take effect at the end of this coming week. I expressed my concern that they will lose business and they didn't seem to care. Mean while. The Lowe's on Inverness way is an amazing customer experience. They boast knowledgeable store associates, who are always asking to help, the products are just better, they always have people available to help move your day along. I spend a lot of money at this store because it is a better use of my time. I spend hardly no money at this store. I believe this comes across from a business perspective as you compare the contractors at this store and Inverness Lowe's and it is night and day difference in the amount of business and people buying from different stores. Terrible experience with appliance divery. The delivery guys set up by Home Depot, Final Mile, left the new refrigerator in the backyard and did not remove the old refrigerator. They said that they could not get the old refrigerator through the door. Crazy. When I went to complain to the appliance department at Home Depot, the assistant manager simply said that they are not the delivery company. Visited this location in my area on 5/1/22. I brought with me an old bathroom faucet aerator, that needed replacing, to help find the right size. As I stood by the faucet aerators, I stopped an employee for help. Although, it wasn't his area of expertise, he tried to help and summoned another employee, to assist. Both felt the part they chose was the right replacement, but still tracked down the expert for that area, to confirm. These guys were great and made me a priority. HD's tool rental associate needs a lesson in customer service. I called the night before to check the availability of a Mantis tiller and was told there are two available and arrive early. So I arrived early and stood in front of the door (the outside one that I was told to wait by) from 7:30 am until 8:03 am (BTW, the call bell was broken at the door). I was the first in line, but others who went in through the contractor enterance were waited on first! Once I gained access and waited for the other customers to be served, I asked for a Mantis tiller. The HD associate took me over to three tillers. He attempted to start each one, and I was informed that all three had machanical issues and could not be rented today. He then told me to go to the Matthews' store that they should have one. I asked him if he would call and request one be held for me, to which he said he would give me the number so I could call, and again said, "They should have one." Fast forward...after calling and asking HD Matthews to hold a tiller, I arrived to find that this location IS the better choice! Better service, better equipment, a better experience all around! Great place to catch Covid! They don't enforce mask wearing at all! Many customers (and even some of their staff) roam the isles freely with no mask on at all and nobody says a word. The have a small sign that gives lip service to the mask requirement out front, but it is totally clear the management doesn't care about the health of their customers one little bit! There was a representative on the aisle where things where fully immersed in his cell phone. He did allow himself to be bothered (visibly) when I asked a question. After still searching for 15 minutes on my own, I asked a young lady to help with finding another rep who actually cared to help. She said no one was a available in an empty store. Ordered a refrigerator from the website and it was to be delivered today (May 4th) between 9:30 and 1:30. I was told I'd get a phone call 30 minutes prior. Regardless, I have been home the whole time and just found a door hanger on my front door stating that they had tried to deliver at 12:10. I got no phone call and I heard no knock on my door. I have 3 dogs who go insane when there is a knock and not a peep from them. I called Home Depot and they said the earliest they could re-deliver is the following Monday. By the way, they use FedEx and UPS to deliver their appliances apparently. So, now I have to stay at home another day waiting. I should have ordered from Lowe's. Lesson learned. read more

Every time I come to this home depot everyone is very helpful and friendly. I came a few months ago for wood and was able to get someone to cut the wood to the exact dimensions that I needed. I got advice last week on paint and the worker was able to save me money by giving me tips and telling me what I needed and didn't need for a project. I also rented tools from here before and they are very reasonable for the value and helpful by not up-selling for something I did not need. Customer service is always helpful as when I have returns, they are able to complete it with ease and no troubles. The check out system is great as they have new POS systems to self check out with ease. read more

Salesperson forgot to add a stacking kit to our washer / dryer order, so when delivery arrived it couldn't be installed. I went to the store and a supervisor said he would order the part and call me first thing in the morning to arrange delivery. I did not receive a call by 3pm, so I called and was told the person who could help me was on lunch and would call me back. No one called. I called back the following morning and the supervisor said the part was ordered and we could get it installed in 5 days. Why 5 days? The delivery guys (contracted) gave me their cell and offered to do it today. Supervisor told me warehouse is closed on the weekend and it's Saturday. I said "So this could have been solved if someone called me yesterday like you said you would?" The sup responded, "Probably." There was never any apology for forgetting to add a stacking kit to the order or forgetting to call me back. Now I have a washer and dryer sitting in my hallway for what will be a total of 7 days before it can be installed. read more
