Since the start of 2026 about half the things I've bought here have been returns stealthily boxed and taped. That includes 2 eighty gallon compressors and today a smart switch. If I wanted returned goods, everything missing and broken I would go to Ross. This place has gone downhill (except the prices, of course) and I can tell you sincerely as a pro member for ten years, that everything I have bought here recently has filled me with the deepest regret. Love this place. Lots of parking. One of my favorite places. They have tons of plants even more than I expected for this 80°f mid-winter day. I was surprised to see so many flowers out front, a butterfly, and at least one bee. I scored a beautiful mini palm and a cute succulent I'd been looking for. I didn't find the fire pit I wanted today but they have tons on their website so I'll check that out. Beautiful cabbages too read more

i go to home depots all the time to give out business cards for my business . Today me and my worker were handing out cards this security guard comes up and tells me to get off the lot. Now i dont mind leaving but for this man to watch me all the way till i got to my car and watch until i left made me very uncomfortable and unsafe . Went to Home Depot tonight for two things: 1. Garage door opener. Isle where product was stored was blocked with wooden doors (see picture). Not sure how employees expect customers to make a purchase when they can't reach the shelves. 2. Drop off used batteries. Never can go wrong with loading up to make home improvements! Love their outdoor garden area, it's been super cool shopping here for all of my plants and outside decor! Thank goodness for the oversized baskets to load everything in! Customer service is great when asked for assistant! My favorite part of the entire store is looking at all the kitchen items! All the refrigerators are so cool as technology has advanced! Also, oddly enough they have a beautiful selection of chandeliers! Super pretty to look at! When I checked out this Home Depot, I was worried because it had such a low rating. Upon arriving, I was pleasantly surprised. I only wanted to look at plants for my apartment so maybe that's why.. haha. The prices for their plants were more affordable than I expected. The workers in the garden area were very nice as well. We are an HD family to the core so whenever I see an HD with a 1-star rating I think "DANG, they must have a manager about to get fired" because this organization is usually SO On point with their structure and it is truly a fantastic company to quickly excel if you're a great worker- anyway I personally might be biased but my experience was alright! Despite there being three workers sitting and passing by (after a nice self-check out lady made a PA announcement stating "customer needs assigned in rug department") I decided to "interrupt" the guys who were deep in whatever conversation they were having (in the rug department) and the one who helped did apologize for the wait. After basking in the glory of the fancy electronic rug display (reminded me of Cher's closet in Clueless) we figured out what type and linear footage I needed to cover my patio- I went with a deep emerald green carpet because its really soft, but with these prices ($2.50/lf!) I'm coming back for some classic mini-golf green turf for our other patio! I was also elated to find some Kangaroo paw plants in the garden section and grabbed two beauties with potting soil and a few sleek terracotta pots (to replant a few succulents at home). I am determined and hopefully to develop my green thumb so please wish me luck! Lastly the red head at the paint department was great when I asked "is there such thing as putting essential oil in outdoor paint to repel bugs or has anyone already invented that? Sure enough he brought me to a tiny orange bottle that could be added to gallon paint and do the trick- I want to research it more first however to ensure the best non-toxic option for my furbabies and I... so possibly stick to planting lemongrass and using well places nets (and citronella candles) to handle it. Super awesome customer service!! It is a really busy place and I had no idea how to get a pre-filled propane tank. After getting the attention of a kind worker I was immediately helped, then walked to the self service propane kiosk, and guided through the process. I didn't even have to lift the propane tank! I was "escorted" to my car. I was told numerous times to have a wonderful day. I highly recommend this location. read more

When the Home Depot in Irving ran out of the wood flooring we needed, we found online that his HD had it in stock, and lots of it. First, the location is tough to access from 635. Once we arrived, the store was a total opposite of the one we normally shop. Customer service was pretty poor and no one offered to help put the boxes on the cart. We were also looking for some tools, and the staff at the customer service desk (all gabbing with each other) looked at us but did not offer assistance. The HD in Irving is very family-friendly, which I found apparent when in this store. All construction workers. In fact, there was only one other female customer in the store and she looked, well, rough. In other words, I would not recommend a woman to shop in this store by herself. On a positive note, the gal who rang up our order was friendly and helpful. read more

I have never had such poor customer service from a store delivery like I had today from Home Depot appliance delivery. We bought a new dishwasher, the first delivery - never heard doorbell or knocking- as tech claimed, my dogs NEVER barked! The delivery guy claims he banged on door, rang doorbell, etc... So, I called & complained and they w/n come back same days, said they would be here in 2 days - today. The guys that showed up were RUDE! Condescending and lazy AF. The short fat one said he couldn't get old dishwasher out without cutting linoleum- which still looks good after 15 years. I said ok. Still w/n do it. Ended up calling headquarters and they said they w/n do removal/haul away (we paid for it) nor install new one. They left new in box in living room with connections/hoses. They wet to truck - I thought to call boss again - and left! No bye, no we will be back- nothing. They were rude and ugly. My husband came home and pulled washer out by himself and put out side. read more

Terrible Service, I went there on a memorial day to get the Garden Soil. 5 bags for 10 dollars. There were only 7 bags there the rest was torn open. I asked a person to see if there were more, he said yes and went to someone and disappear. I had already paid for them. While I was standing there waiting for him to return someone grabbed my bags. The guy never returned and they were completely out. Geez, not even a rain check. Then I walk over to the bricks to buy the ones on sale for $1.62. As I was loading my cart some home depot guy says someone just bought all the bricks. What a freaking waste of my time. I wish I went to Lowes. At least Lowes provides you with real services and doesn't post ads where they are going to run out of the product. I am thinking of canceling my account. read more

I was waiting in the appliance section for 40 min asking any worker that would pass by to help and the same response was given " they'll be with you" the employee that we need to get started with doing the purchase was called probably 2 times on the store speaker and yet no one showed up, honestly I don't go to Home Depot out of enjoyment and the fact that I have to go and deal with this is insanity. Poor customer service and honestly I've heard many stories about how lazy and incompetent the staff is. Well, I have lost all confidence in Home Depot. We wanted to get some doors in our house replaced: two outdoor doors and five interior. I'm pregnant and due in the beginning of June, so we started the process in February so it could be handled before I give birth. We picked out our doors. Everything was fine. The guy from the install company came to measure doors. Everything was fine. Then came time to install the doors. My husband and I both took off work so we could both be home to help wrangle the cats since they're indoor only. The guys arrived promptly, looked at the doors...and realized the interior doors that Home Depot gave them were not the custom fit doors that the install company had told them we needed. None of the interior doors were going to fit so they couldn't be installed. So we took a whole day off so that the two exterior doors could be installed. Several weeks later, we're told the correct doors are ordered. Again, a whole day is taken off work (cats need to be wrangled, it's a two person job!). The install guy arrives...with four of the five doors! Home Depot did not have one of our doors. Of course not. Why would they? That would make too much sense. So, once again, we have to have our special order door re-ordered. I have four weeks left until my due date, so I doubt it will happen before then, so next time around we get to wrangle two cats AND a newborn! Fun stuff. The install guys have all been great and done a great job; I wish Home Depot had done a halfway decent job so that we could use them for the three closet doors we've decided we also want replace, but unfortunately we'll have to go elsewhere when we decide we're ready to tackle doors again. read more

I ordered a range hood online. They sent a completely different range hood. I asked that they send the correct one and please expedite the shipping as it was their error. This location is really not an easy location to spot off the highway or if you are not familiar with the area but they still have everything that you would need and the staff is really great! They are attentive, greet you as you enter, and are willing to answer and assist any dilemma that you may be dealing with. The aisles are very organized and clean. read more

I really try to avoid this Home Depot. Low in stock - I suppose they are busy. But the uneven staffing means you definitely don't want to buy paint here. Some of the staff are helpful - I had two people help me. But most seem like recent hires. If you need to ask pro services a question there are plenty of people there. The store near Forest and Josey in Dallas sucks!! - I am referring to the flooring department. The employees there know nothing, they are very ignorant. My experience there has been like pulling teeth to get anything done. I don't know how they ever actually sell any flooring. It took forever to get someone to come out to measure, then they measured and never called me back. I have had to follow up on everything myself. It's been very time consuming. Then I went in the store last Saturday and ordered 3 carpet samples, which they said they would have to ship and it would take a few days. (they should have the samples in the store) - not make people have to wait a week to get them. So I called this morning and talked to Sharon and she said that she didn't enter the order for my samples until 3 days AFTER I had came into the store, and SHE CANNOT EVEN TELL ME WHEN THEY WILL ARRIVE !!!??? JUAN from Flooring! **TERRIBLE SERVICE** 7:30 am, I walked in to buy 20 bags of 50 pound cement. The lady at the register suggested that she call someone to give me a hand. 30 minutes later, JUAN shows up, agitated. And in short, says, "you know Home Depot is a DIY!" My visit unpleasant. My bf and I were excited to visit and find everything we needed for my new vanity set. We walked in and noone greeted us or asked if we needed help. We found everything we needed but light bulbs. I asked for help and a lady said she didn't know but will call for help in that department. We waited for about 15 minutes until someone showed only to help someone else. So we waited for a while and he ended leaving with the older couple. Then, they gated us in without any notice or communication of what was going on. I asked if I can exited and a lady nodded yes. This is only for the Kitchen Cabinet department only. My elderly father wanted to reface his kitchen cabinet doors. Being that I'm a contractor he asked me to talk to the sales person that came, and to deal with the whole project. He told the sales person to talk to me and my father went into another room. The sales person ignored me, wouldn't answer my questions, repeatedly asked for money so "we could get this going today!". After telling him numerous times I'm not buying anything today, and after he refused further to measure cabinets and quote me any prices on anything, I asked him to leave. He yelled at me and actually refused to leave (what the..??!). My father entered the room, tried to ask him questions and get quotes, which sales person refused to give unless he got money. He finally left when my after asking him to leave several times, and I threatened to call the police. This guy should be fired. Turns out he's not employed by Home Depot but by an entirely different company who's subcontracted to Home Depot. Watch out for elderly with this hard sell. read more

This had to be one of the worst location I've ever been to. The parking lot looks like a junk yard. A caucasian female cashier on lane 6 had such a negative and horrible attitude from the beginning, from taking out each of the circuit breaker that it came in and had the nerves to ask for us to put it back in for her. She rolled her eyes when we asked her to bag it (4 boxes), then she slammed down our circuit breakers as she was putting them in the bag, no apology, which is an indication that it was intentional. This Home Depot cannot be more trashier. Hey Home Depot, how about making some of your own home improvement, especially training your cashier on her soft skills and being friendly to customers. I came to the store to get a quote for material on a fence. The employee in the Contractor Services started helping us and halfway through the quote left to help another customer. It took about 45 minutes until he returned to assist us. May be this is the norm, but it was quite frustrating. There were two other employees helping customers, but didn't bother to help. The management is inconsistent and pretends that customer loyalty is important. They say they pride themselves on lowest price by price match and coupon match but then they make it so difficult to use. I spent $1500 there this month and went back to get $200 worth of stuff to finish up my project. I tried to have them match a 20% off coupon from a competitor and they said they do not match coupons, then 30 seconds later she says they do but you have to have it printed, i say ai thiught you said you didn't match coupons. So I said fine, I Will go home and print it. Then she says no, it has to have a barcode they can scan. This is all after spending an hour getting all the supplies I needed. They refused to price match even after they have done it before. Go to LOWES or Harbor Frieght, or anywhere else! They have better deals and for the items they aren't cheaper on the better customer service and customer appreciation is much better and worth it. read more
