I was looking at lawn equipment to purchase and did find what I was looking for without any problems. I'm usually a shopper that goes in with my mind made up to what I want and don't want to haggle with people. However, the whole time I was looking at and comparing equipment the one HD employee that was hanging out in the same aisle I was in did not even acknowledge me. He hung out in the area without even asking if I was looking for anything in particular, so not sure what his purpose is at HD. I had no problems finding what I wanted along with a few extra tools and the only employee that I encountered that actually had customer service skills was the young lady at the registers to assist people locating goods or checking out. *If you appreciate minimal customer service skills and just an acknowledgement of your presence there are other options in Del Rio, not many but they do exist. read more

Worst Home Depot I have ever been to. No one is ever helpful. No one asks you if you need help. They walk right by. While waiting for assistance in lumber they never came and kicked us out of the isle twice. We never received any help in the end and decided to do what we thought was best. Offer military discount in theory but not in practice. Asked for it and they required you to download their app and apply even though I had a military ID. Downloaded the app and tried to do it at checkout but it takes over 20 minutes to do "verify" and it wouldn't accept my military ID as proof. Walked away frustrated without the discount even though I have proof of service after 10-15 minutes of trying their process without luck. read more

We looked everywhere for someone to help us as HD looked like an abandoned store.We concluded it was their supper break. Finally we came upon Brandon. We had been looking for another Delta faucet set for the bathroom. We had found one and needed a match. The one we had found had been on the bottom shelf. Brandon got down on his hands knees then chest so he could extend his arm in and grab his findings which was another same set. Thank you, Brandon, for being so persistent. If you live in Del Rio get any major appliances from this location. They only deliver on Thursdays here and the delivery drivers will not show up even after you call them. Had a washer and dryer coming, was on a work call when the driver called to tell that they were on the way, I called the number back many times and had no response and my delivery got pushed back two weeks. read more

This store really lacks in customer service. I think the workers just believe that it's okay to take their sweet time and keep customers waiting way too long for help. I came here with my family to get plywood cut and we waited a whole damn hour for someone to come help us after calling the front desk and asking several workers. And even when they came, they took a long time to actually cut the wood. This town, though, doesn't really have anywhere else to go to get home items, so we're sort of forced to keep giving this place business. read more

Update: came back here with a friend to rent one of their Penske trucks. We were second in line behind someone else attempting to rent. The other customer was clearly exasperated, we soon discovered why. We've now been in line for over 45 minutes and we're no closer to getting our truck, which we've already been told has no air conditioning (no discount despite being 102*) - there's no way that a national chain is this incompetent, clearly there's a store wide joke being played on all of the weekend warriors trying to do home improvements. read more

Go somewhere else, not a good store! The store manager personally refuses to give the normal Home Depot military discount- first and only store I've ever seen this. I call Home Depot headquarters and they were shocked that a store manager would do this and so am I. Boycott this store until they get the message and start treating the military right!! read more

Built a 500k plus apartment building and tried to take all of my business through HD as they gave the best overall pricing in town. Soon discovered that if you pay with funds out of a 1031 bank account (used to deposit money from sale of real estate pending re-investment of same within 120 days of sale to avoid Obama's 23% Capital Gains tax). Basically, the checks are written by the bank to HomeDepot to pay the bills. HD's check cashing company contracted to ensure payment was valid is located in Pakistan or one of those countries where you can not understand them. Needless to say, after a few hundred thousand, we took our business elsewhere. They have one of the most archaic business structures I have ever seen for such a world wide business. In most store I have ever been, money is King. They wanted to sell me stuff, by their corporate kept listening to the contracted company in Pakistan. Other than that, I love HD and their products. Wonderful Pro Desk team, Brian, Rachel and Basilio. Peggy and the Manager helped immensely in trying to get our checks accepted by Ms. Pakistan to no avail. read more
