I bought a washing machine on 7-10-21. My first delivery was scheduled on 7-27. It was no delivery. It was reschedule for 8-14. It was so badly damaged they ask me to city me outside and see it first. I called the Appliance Delivery Installation number once someone answered it was no help. The next scheduled date is September 1st. How and I suppose to wash clothes? It was no delivery as well. I am more then furious when u spend your money and waste your time. waiting for a delivery. They offer free kid activities on the first Saturday of the month. My visits have been consistent: greeted at the door, staff throughout the store who answer questions when asked, and usually a short line. They carry a host of products and most employees are knowledgeable about the things I ask for. They also have a security company that patrols the lot. Pretty decent store. read more

This Home Depot is among the higher-trafficked stores in the region, seeing as it is the only one in Detroit proper and therefore directly supplies a large portion of the city rehabbers on the west side-- plus any inner-ring suburban clients for whom this is the closest store. This also means their inventory is sometimes limited. Unlike the (frustratingly) better-equipped stores in wealthier, whiter areas, this store often misses out on some of the fancier product inventories that you will invariably find in Livonia or Dearborn. Most of the managers kind of suck. The store is grossly understaffed and there is never anyone on hand to answer questions, but most of the lower-level staff are nice. This is the worst Home Depot I've ever been to. Stock is constantly low, shelves are messy with all sorts of things mixed in with other products. There is always an enormous line and one usually spends more time in line than they do actually shopping. Generally terrible, avoid. read more

This has got to be the most trife Home Depot there ever was. If there was a Home Depot on the edge of Dante's inferno it would be better stocked and staffed than this location. No one knows where anything is and somehow all the staff seem ever so angry about asking them for help. Did you order in advance online? It didn't matter. That confirmation email was a lie, they don't have whatever you ordered. Did you rent equipment from them? Good luck, they haven't serviced it 5 years. Today was my first visit to this store location, and all I could say was, wow!!! This is one of the most obvious egregious cases of racial inequality I have ever witnessed . I say racial inequality due to none of these practices are performed in their suburban stores. There was only one line open with a cashier. There was 4 self serve machines and 2 were broken, leaving only 2 working self serve registers. One self serve register took cash only and the other accepted credit cards only. The signs stating this, was not in a prominent place to be seen by all customers in the line. Both cashier and self serve lines were incredibly long. There was only one cashier working in the self serve area and every time a customer finish scanning there products a cashier was required to complete the transaction, which inevitably slowed down the line down even further. I literally stood in the self serve line for 15 minutes observing only 1 customer complete an transaction . Ironically, he had to show his receipt to security upon exiting the building. Why? I finally gave up and left the items I wanted to purchase. Notably, all the patrons were predominantly BLACK and this store is located in a predominantly minority area. I called and spoke with a manager who identified himself as Anthony Peoples. He was very apologetic, stated due staffing issues and register break downs , today was an unfortunate one time occurrence. However , after speaking with several people in line and outside of this location, this situation or similar situations occur more often than not. The suburban stores I have patronized were fully staffed with numerous working registers. My question is, why, if this store is one of your highest grossing and highest traffic stores (per manager), why are there not enough working registers , nor staff members available to meet the customer demand. Another concern, receipt checking prior to a customer being allowed to exit the building. Why is this not practice in all your stores? Also, This causes another unnecessary delay. Extremely rude. When I asked an associate for assistance in locating something, he shrugged his shoulders and was asked if I looked for it. When I found the item on my own, I then asked a different associate for assistance cutting some lumber, very rude as well. I recently relocated to Detroit and had nothing but pleasant experiences at the Northville store. This was terrible. read more

Don't go to this store unless you want to be assaulted. I was trying to park in front of the store to go in to get Roundup. It was busy, the store decided to implement safe distance protocol at the entrance which caused congestion at the front entrance and the parking lot. I was driving slowly as to not hit anyone when some thug drove up and partially blocked my way to proceed. I guess I didn't move fast enough when he rolled down his window and yelled, "MOVE NIGGER!" I drove past carefully to avoid hitting his car, I decided it was not worth confrontation. As I drove away I saw this guy following me through the parking area as I exited then he turned and drove back to store. I will never visit this store again. There have been two fatal shootings at this store that I know of in the past. Go to other locations than this one. Its dangerous. read more

I ordered a product that was due two weeks ago they let me know via email that morning that they did not receive the items in their warehouse. I usually go to the Home Depot in Madison heights but this location was closer to me so I thought I'd give it a try. I needed help in the plumbing aisle. The worker there looked like he was bothered that I was asking for help. He didn't know how to answer my questions or find what I was looking for. He just said "You can't do that." So I left and drove to the Home Depot in Madison Heights. I got the help and the materials I needed with no problem there! Terrible customer service. Educate your employees! read more

I really am embarrassed by the exterior cleanl of the Home Depot Store on 7 Mile and Meyers. Of all the Home Depot Stores I have visited, the one in my neighborhood has to be the dirtiest. I waited for a curbside pick up for over 90 minutes. Attempted to call the store 6 times and nobody answered. Finally went inside and had 2 associates argue with me about the amount of time I was there even after I showed the email that was clearly stamped over an hour ago. Then they belittled me and raised their voice to me and told me that if I had an issue I should call the store and file a complaint. In total I wasted 2 hours of my life and was humiliated in front of others, was yelled at and argued with. I will NEVER shop at Home Depot again. I want everyone to be aware of the horrible experience I had with Home Depot. In July, we purchased a stove, dishwasher, microwave and fridge. We had a delivery date with a phone call confirmation stating it would be delivered on August 20 between the hours of 3p and 7p. We took time off from work waiting for the delivery. It was a no call, no show. After complaints, the delivery took place on Aug 24th....we still needed our fridge and microwave. The same thing happened. We scheduled and received a call stating the appliances would be delivered on September 18th. Again no call and no show. DO NOT buy appliances at Home Depot. This is the absolute worst experience I've ever had. We should have went to Best Buy in the first place. I know, blame it on COVID. Any excuse. read more

I would like better customer service from the employees, they could be more attentive to help you find the right screw in the correct aisle. I simple wanted hardware to hang a door and the young man took me to the wrong aisle and left me there to fiend for myself. I had to track someone down to guide me to the correct aisle, I also had to lift 500 lbs of sand (50lb bags) by myself, there was no one in the building materials department to help. This is the most unorganized store in the City of Detroit, and it is the only Home Depot that is in the inner city. The workers on the floor if you can find one don't know anything, they tell you to go to Customer Service they will be able to help, and they are swamped or they don't want to help either, so if you want help or to find what you are looking for go somewhere else, avoid the 7 mile and Meyers location, but if you have no other choice, GOOD LUCK. read more

I went here first thing this morning, I was one of about 6 customers waiting outside to get in. Once they let us in the store only had about 1/3 of the lights on when I got to the cashier I asked her why the lights was not on. She stated that they don't turn all the lights on until about 9am to conserve the energy bill, wow. read more

Not a bad home depot however the service could use some work. Seems to take ovr 30 min any time we need to get paint mixed. They are always slow and unorganized in the paint department or understaffed. The other departments are ok sometimes there is help and they are super nice other times it seems like they are running away from you. Clean and organized inside. read more

Thanks to Lowe's, Home Depot seems to be like a dying breed of home improvement megastores in the area. I went into the Home Depot "on the hill" in Allen Park and they have the typical Home Depot stuff.... I got what I needed, bip-bam-boom, I was out pretty quickly. No complaints. The thing that bugs me about Home Depot...and I guess it's all Home Depots, but I'm not fond of their parking lots. You park by the "In" door and the "Out" door is across the parking lot. My vehicle was ransacked and attempted to be stolen. The radio was stolen and also was my son brutus my 12 year old dog. There has been very little help and have now been off of work for one week trying to locate him.There was a security team in the lot that provided a false sense of security and in about 15 minutes this occured with tons of security employees and regular employees whom all saw nothing.Months earlier the plumbing company i used to work for, edwards plumbing lost a truck to vehicle theft and eventually was recovered. there is a pattern with this home depot, and i am extremely unsatisfied with the level.of.treatment that has occured thus far. I was told that there were no cameras in the area my van waw destroyed in, yet there are some in.the parking lot. I paid a private investigator to take surveillance footage of this lot this last week. There is quite a lot of bad things going on in this lot that the public should know about. I Tried to work with so called manager and the police department cant be bothered to look at the footage either, basing their opinion solely on the representative of your company. This same person took fliers from me offering a no questions asked reward and did not put them up anywhere. The private investigation firm walked right back to the employees only area unchecked and found that there were not a one flyer anywhere. I am a contractor and i work for myself and go from client to client, trying to Help as many folks as i can. I Have tried to locate my dog, and the only tip i got was from a little boy that told me that he saw my dog on one strreet over from the depot, which coincidentally is where my surveillance team tracked some very suspicious behavior that looks like there are multiple parties who are involved. I dont want to get back to my regular job and am doing so this week, but it hurts that there is a location with your brand that is allowed to operate and violate your clients. There has been much outreach for Brutus, who knows and loves everyone, and defended my vehicle to the end. I am con inced that due to information from friendw of mine that live accross the street, my friend of 12 years was probably used as a bait dog for dog fight practice, which makes my, and my familys soul cry but i have to carry the quest to locate him No matter what. I have had the worst experience with this store and the one in Livonia. I have ordered a refrigerator twice this year. The first one the delivery driver refused to bring it in because I live upstairs. He offered to leave it on the curb and I pay someone else to bring it in. Gave them a second chance and placed another order. Placed order June 6th for delivery on June 23rd. They never called or showed up. When I called was told driver had an emergency and they rescheduled for 25th. On the 25th waited all day. I kept checking the app and it was slow to update. I called at 6:30pm to be told that I was the last delivery and that they delivered until 8pm. At 8:10 still no delivery, I was told that the delivery department was closed and that I would have to wait until the next day to figure out what happened. I decided to cancel the order for the second time. I'm done with any major purchases at home depot. If I can't go in the store and pick it up off the shelf, I wont be making any purchases. You should not have to beg and pay for anything. I've heard nothing from anyone regarding the complaint. They have know regard for customer satisfaction. Sad state of affairs read more

bought new kitchen cabinets at Mt.Pleasant store a couple of years ago they said had lifetime warranty on the doors so one went bad took it in they said no warranty now so were are screwed they said they would sell us new one tho but I sure as hell will never go back!! read more
