I went to Home Depot in Ellenwood GA to purchase a replacement cabinet door. The cabinet department sales person, I think her name is Safi I'm not 100% sure on my receipt it has salesperson Som1346. She went above and beyond to help me. She was very professional with excellent customer service skills. I ended up buying a whole new cabinet instead of just replacing the door because I would have had to order the replacement door and it wouldn't arrive until after December 25 and I wanted it ASAP as in today. I love me some Home Depot but man has it changed on staff. No greeter no one really speaks or ask if you need help. I feel like some of the women working one had no uniform on walking around like it's a runway like sis the jeans has no more space and you're literally picking and choosing what you want to do while others around you are actually working. The only friendly staff we got we were out by lawn and garden a gentleman actually asked if we needed anything or if he could be of any assistance. The plants outside were dying died or wilted. A lot of clearance items were OOS but other items not of the price took it's place. read more

Rented a dump trailer for 24 hours and returned it 5 hours early thinking it might help them if they had someone else that may need it. Upon arrival the rental dept door was locked and a bell is there to ring for the door to be opened. So I ring the bell and wait and wait, I look in the window and there is a man sitting at the desk just ignoring me. I then knocked on the door and he finally looked over and rolled his eyes like I'm putting him out of his way to have to get up and push the button to open the door. Then when returning it a woman started the return but then got busy greeting other employees and then a man came over to finish the return. We walked outside and he looked at me and said I'll finish it when you park it. We are talking about a full parking lot with vehicles and equipment all around. Now I'm pretty good in open areas to back up a trailer but not in a busy parking lot. I told him no, I don't feel confident enough to park it and he shrugged and said well, they can't park it. I said with all the tractors and such around here y'all can't move this trailer safely and park it and he said no, too much liability. Really?! So, you don't want the responsibility but you are fine putting it onto a customer?! He mumbled something and just walked away. So I called the store for a manager and no one ever came out. The same guy finally came back out and said he would finish the return and we finally finished up with everything and still no manager. I will not be visiting this store ever again. I will continue using LOWE'S for their care of their customers. I know every place has good and bad employees but the 4 I dealt with at one store is just 4 too many. As if this store could possibly get any worse, it does. It appears that they're now trying to pull a Walmart maneuver by forcing everyone to use the annoying self checkouts. A bit of a problem when you have items that require a store associate to ring it up. (individual bolts, cut wood pieces, etc) Never mind that, instead of actually opening manned registers, they simply have 2-3 "associates" standing around at the self checkouts, gossiping and basically doing nothing. If you're going to force people to check out their own items, you'd darn well better be reducing your prices! (which they haven't) I absolutely despise any store that goes this route and refuse to further shop at any store that does. I'll drive the extra six miles to the nearest Lowes. At least there, I don't have to go outside to find a wood cart/dolly to shop with like this store makes you do. read more

This store is absolute garbage. My mother in law ordered countertops to be installed from them 2 months ago, and because of the ineptitude from the store and the terrible contractors they employ, her kitchen is now sitting for God knows how long with no stove top, no water, and no countertops. She PAID for the countertops and service up front, and after they didn't show up multiple times for scheduled appointments, they eventually let her know that the countertops were actually still in production and that it would be a few weeks before they could be installed. Then they said contractors had to come out and disconnect her stove and turn off her kitchen water before installation. When the installation was finally scheduled for this week, everything was disconnected and her kitchen was ready, but they informed her that the countertops had been cut incorrectly. Now the countertops are now BACK in production - with no ETA given - and the plumber that Home Depot recommended would not turn her kitchen water back on for some unknown reason! He just left while she was begging him to turn it back on. She called Home Depot this morning to explain her issues, and they let her know that they couldn't control what happens with their contractors.... read more

So get this one. Ordered windows online from this location. They showed it was in stock and would text me when the order is pulled. Waited several hours and finally decided to drive over to see what the hold is. 500 yards from the store they call my house they don't have any. Gee thanks HD for really screwing me over. Still took my money and nothing but waiting around for a resolution that HD and the poor inventory system. Now the service desk is saying I can try another location. They might have it. This is the worse store ever! My husband ordered lumber from this store for delivery and received 3 pieces that were unusable. Two of the pieces of lumber were cracked and one piece had areas that were rotten. When the store was contacted the customer service employee was beyond rude and stated that the pick up and delivery of the replacement lumber could not be done on the same day and would be a week before replacement of the defective lumber could be delivered. Worse customer service ever. Going forward if an item cannot be grab and go will not consider shopping at this location ever again! read more

I went searching for a box that I could store very small thing in and some other miscellaneous items. I was walking around for approximately 5 minutes and asked two young gentlemen if they could help me . There names are Jacori and Tyroniq . Both young guys went above and beyond to provide me the best help they could . While I did not find the item , I found a store with great service and help that I will return to. read more

DO NOT USE THIS STORE. I rented a truck at 3:46 pm knowing that the 4 hour block meant that I needed to have the vehicle returned by 7:46 pm which seemed cool because the store hours are listen from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm on Sunday by the wall outside the entry door to the rental center. After using and filling up the gas tank, I returned to the store at 7:28 pm and it was completely closed. I doubled checked and the sign had 8:00 am - 8:00 pm on Sunday so I was puzzled as to why it was closed. I called the store number and got no answer so I parked the truck in front of the rental office door, locked it up, kept the keys and went home. As I returned in the morning to return the keys, I asked if they closed at 8 pm on Sunday? The department manager MARTHA said yes, but the worker behind the counter said, "no, they now close at 7 pm." As a result a $74/ 4 hour rental was now $138.03 for a full day. So again I questioned why do the hours on the door say 8pm closing when you close at 7 pm. That completely mislead me into believing I was on a great time schedule because I probably could have returned the truck by 6:15 pm if I knew they closed an hour earlier. I offered to show my gas receipt that shows that I filled the truck up before 8pm as I was going by the store hours listed on the wall, and the manager Martha still denied that there was anything she could do. Now I don't mind paying for any service, but don't mislead me. Home Depot makes way too much money to not be able to update a sign outside the door. I'm very disappointed in how misleading that is, and the pure laziness and neglect to update a sign from franchise that big. Furthermore, if the sign was wrong, I should have been told that the store closes at 7 and don't have a 4 hour block. I would have still rented the vehicle and had it returned on time. Home ownership is a mutha I tells ya. We recently had a plumbing issue and needed to use a plumbers snake right. So our plumber shows up (Love ya Felix) on a weekend and immediately knows what we need (the snake)...so we go up to Home Depot thinking we can get in, rent the snake and get out right....WRONG We go to the rentals and there is no one working the counter...WTF it's Home Depot people are renting stuff all day. There is already 1 guy who said he had been there for 30 minutes trying to return a tiller he rented and alls we wanted was a friggin snake so my shower water would stop coming out the down stairs toilet! We rang bells, we chased people down and finally....FINALLY the manager shows up 45 minutes after we get there. Not only does the manager not know where "Bryan" is he can't even get Tiller Guy processed and me my dayum snake! So Non Managing Manager yanks some girl off her register to get Tiller Guy on his way and me my dayum snake. Felix tells them off in his thick Jamaican accent, get the snake, comes back to my house, snake out the whatever that thing is in the back yard and doesn't charge me for that hour and change spent at Home Depot. Home Depot is 1 mile from my house, I will now start taking my business to Lowe's in Stockbridge....BASTIDS!!!!! and yes I sent them a very nasty email LOL. Home Depot SUCKS!!!!!!!!!! but the sad part about it is.... No help in the mornings. I went into the paint shop to get a small amount of paint. There were three employees working on shelving projects. Not one asked me if I needed help. I finally asked one person and she said the sales person has went to the restroom and will be right back. 10 minutes and still no sales person and no one offering to page the person. Waiting another five minutes and still no sales person. Several other employees walked right by me and never asked if they could help. If you are considering doing business with this store, PLEASE take my advice, DON'T! If you expect merchandise you need to be in stock, it won't be. If you expect to call the store, don't --they won't answer. If you expect a problem to be handled by a manager, don't --they can't be bothered. If, by some miracle, you are able to see and talk to a manager, do not rest assured -- they won't do ANYTHING they said they would do. They WILL say anything to get you out of their hair, including lying. If you expect your deliveries to be on schedule, they won't be. If you expect the delivery team to call you before they arrive, they won't. However, if you expect your $3000 lawn mower to be dropped off, without a call, a text or even a knock on the door, you can be certain that your expectations are on point. They will leave you order unattended and drive off. Better yet, they will deliver damaged merchandise with broken pieces clearly laying there! After multiple attempts to solve this problem, one thing is clear: Michael Washington and his "management" team at store #6977 in Ellenwood, Georgia are completely lacking professionalism and integrity. I would consider these traits to be key characteristics of a manager. Please, save your money, time and your patience and visit another store (preferably, Lowes). Additionally, I have provided the corporate office with a detailed, scathing review of this pitiful store and incompetent management. The wife wanted a new dishwasher for Christmas so we have a Home Depot only literally a mile from our house. I took the day off to go with her. We settled on a $750+ dishwasher in white. They said it couldn't be delivered until the 26th of December. This was the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. My wife took a vacation day and waited for delivery. I called her at around 2:30 pm and they hadn't called or delivered the dishwasher. She called about the order and was told the dishwasher was in but no one had picked it up. We paid extra for it to be delivered and installed. She then called the store and was put on hold for someone in appliances that never picked up. She called back and was told someone would call her back. I called the store and was immediately told in a rude tone that we are working on it ms. Vaughan! I said this isn't ms Vaughan it's mr. Vaughan and I want to speak with the store manager and was put on hold. After 10 to 15 minutes on hold I hung up and called back. They wouldn't pick up obviously they have caller identification. So I next called Home Depot customer service and requested to speak to the regional manager but was told that I would first have to deal with the Store Manager. I told them I had tried. I am awaiting a call which will probably never come. Going by there after work to cancel the order! read more

This is the wrost store EVER!! the customer service is the wrost I came in for wood I've been here for almost 2hrs all because every employee I see have there head down in there cell phone. Have to concur with other negative reviews, cannot believe positive comments must be from employees and their families. Employees to busy texting or hiding. Only self checkout and contractor register open. Try taking 12 foot sheetrock thru self checkout. Nobody willing or able to answer simple questions, not first time bad experience at this location.
