I have two comments-one is to provide a high quality star rating for Jerry and another is a suggestion for the other employee who would receive a 1 star rating. From the moment I asked Jerry for help, he went out of his way to provide amazing customer service and support. He listened to my question and helped me find a solution to my problem. He found another associate to help me get the material I needed. However, from the moment he was brought in to help, this other associate made it painfully clear that he was inconvenienced, did a very poor job, and Jerry graciously and kindly stepped in and helped me get what I needed, and made sure that it was done right. I am not impressed by the attitude of the other associate. I am highly impressed by the energy, enthusiasm, integrity, professionalism, and respect Jerry showed not just to me, but to his coworker, to his job, and to another customer who needed help. Grand Junction store I had arranged for someone to come evaluate for new countertops. I was told the first visit would be virtual. Fine, I had all the measurements ready for our 1:00 meeting today. At 1209 Tim calls to say he never received my measurements. I said I was never told to provide them to anyone. He said it was in the email. I advised him that the email I received states this: 1. ...gather ideas...budget 60-90 minutes... 2. "On the day of your appointment, your consultant, Timothy Kliewer, will arrive wearing a Home Depot apron and badge...... 3. Your design consultant will bring product samples.... So you tell me where in this email does it say to measure the countertops yourself and call a guy? How professional is that? How do you know I'm measuring correctly?! I had to YouTube it! I told Tim that I was not impressed with this process and he says, "Well I'm in Fort Collins so..." Great, I'm calling LOWES. This was for an entire kitchen remodel by the way. To add to my previous review of Home Depot after receiving a phone call with a total price of my door and installation and told I could pay it at the service desk. I decided to go in personally to the store in order to get a printed copy of my invoice showing all the charges which I should've received in the first place. i'm looking at the order. I realized the wrong door was ordered so the bad service just continues. Today I came in for a refund on the delivery fee of my door and was told all I had to do was come into the service desk and they had all the information to take care of the refund. I purchased an appliance package on 10/15/2022, it consisted of Range, refrigerator, dishwasher and over the rage microwave. I paid for installation of the water supply line to the fridge, the installation of the range cord and the installation of the dishwasher. Delivery was scheduled for 10/20/2022. When the delivery guys arrived it took them 30min to figure out what they were doing. Once they figured it out they brought in all of the appliances. The plugged in the fridge and said that they wouldn't install anything else. Once the left I called Home Depot, John Blazer advised they didn't know why didn't install the appliances and they couldn't get a hold of them. John promised me that their other contractor would call me that afternoon or the next morning. I waited till 1pm on 10/21 for a call. I called back to the Home Depot and John was no longer of help because he had the day off and told no one of my situation. So then I asked to speak to a manager above him so I spoke to Matt, the only thing Matt said was "I'm sorry, I understand". He then proceeded to let me know that Mike (the other contractor) would call me. Mike called me on 10/21 and advised me that he would call me 10/24 to schedule install of the appliances. That's a total of 4+ days of not having a fridge, range, dishwasher and microwave. Mind you I have 2 kids and I am handicapped also. read more

Parking lot is a nightmare. Seems whenever I am there, whatever I am looking for is generally blocked by a large set of orange stairs. Shelves are consistently empty but if you look up above there is plenty of stock on hand. Staff are, for the most part, miserable to be there as well. My latest irrigation project had me at both Lowes and Home Depot to gather all correct, quite common fittings. True Value from here on out, at least I know I can expect that the items are stocked and a friendly associate will assist if required. read more

Things I hate about this store: 1) Seldom anyone around to help, and employees avoid eye contact, as they don't want to be asked questions; 2) Stuff in the isles--all kinds of stuff--so you can't even push a shopping cart through the isles. 3) There's always a forklift in the way. I am in the process of remodeling a large home. I have used Home Depot in Las Vegas and really had no problems. This Home Depot on the other hand is a disaster. Isles cluttered, store is dirty. The staff is definetly not friendly with one or two exceptions. My wife was almost run down by a large lady that worked there pushing a lumber cart. I have asked the plumbing guy for information and he is clueless. I had a 6000$ appliance order I tried to give after they quoted it to someone over the phone. I got transferred 5 times, I'm not exaggerating. I finally asked for the manager he then immediately put me on hold. I hung up and ordered the exact same appliances at Lowes with zero hassle. Tried to get 9000$ in carpet measured in a rural area, told me to call back to find out if they did it. How about you do your job and call me back. Went to Lowes, was taken care of immediately. With carpet, appliances etc I know I've spent 30k at Lowes. I own a business and would be beside myself if this happened. I have totally given up on this location. I blame this all on the manager. I cannot believe all these negative reviews. I have shopped this store since 2008. I have also ordered special items not in stock, and they always have come in when they said they would. Just this week 4/24/21 my 2500 gallon tank arrived, they called me the same day. Also the guys outside on the forklift were very good about loading it. I ordered vinyl plank and paid to have Home Depot install it. This was the worst installation process I've ever seen. I was quoted 1 day with the possibility of a 2nd day if the subfloor needed work. I was told to have an 18yo available to pay additional charges if the subfloor needed work. I was here all day. The installer showed up 30 minutes after the 2-hour window. Didn't finish the 1st day and was late again the 2nd day. He never said anything about the subfloor. When he finished I was appalled at the finished work. The transitions were so amateur and I felt lumps between the subfloor and the vinyl planks. His response was "I didn't get paid to do anything to the subfloor." I was specifically here ready to pay additional charges if work needed to be done to the subfloor. He scheduled time to come fix it and didn't show then was late the next day. His repairs were just as bad. He scheduled time to come back to fix a 2nd time and again didn't show then was late the next day (which is now the 4th day of install and the 8th calendar day). I'm waiting now for "Quality Control" to schedule a time to come fix this terrible installation. I'll update my review with QC's fix when/if that happens. read more

Purchased a toilet and installation through the Grand Junction store. Eight days later they still hadn't called to arrange the install so I paid the store a visit. The order had fallen through the cracks and they made arrangements with their contracted provider to do the work the following day. After returning home the installer called me directly and stated it would be about $220 for the install. I informed them I'd already paid for installation at time of purchase and it showed as a line item on the invoice to which I was told that isn't the case and I will have to pay Peterson Plumbing an additional $220. I headed back to HD to get things corrected. Home Depot told me there had been a mistake and offered to refund the install price of $130 and I could still pay Peterson Plumbing the $220. I declined and received a full refund for merchandise and services. I did what I'd recommend anyone else do, take your business to Lowes. read more

ONE STAR FOR BREANNE (head cashier)!! Actually zero stars but Yelp won't allow it. Here's the deal- we were shopping for a paint sprayer (online to price shop), saw one at Home Depot on sale for $99. Went to the store, it rang up for $119, showed the cashier the price advertised online ( FOR THEIR OWN STORE), she called the "head cashier", Breanne over to see if she could price match. In the rudest way possible Breanne said " No! If he wants to pay $99, he can order it online". And walked off. Dumbfounded, we then walked over to Customer Service, did not say anything about what had just happened and the lady at customer service said " oh sure, no problem! If that's the price online, that's what we will do". She couldn't have been nicer and it was an easy process AT CUSTOMER SERVICE. So here's my advice for Ms Breanne: we weren't asking you to price match a competitors price, the online price at Home Depot was $99, we were simply asking to price match your own price. It's not rocket science and it certainly doesn't warrant such a snide response. If you hate providing decent customer service to customers, perhaps you should look for another job. And to Home Depot- surely there is someone more qualified then Breanne to be your "head" cashier. Because your head cashier just cost you a customer. read more

Terrible customer service! Store is very unclean. Went in to buy a lamp and electrical items. We needed assistance, so we asked another employee to call for help. An employee came back with another customer. My husband told the employee that we had been waiting for quite some time and had requested assistance. The employee "Bill" stated that, that was him and there were two more customers ahead of us!" We decided not to accept his condescending tone and put all items back and went to Home Depot's competitor where we made our purchase and were treated with respect.
