The store is clean and has ton of signage, which is very helpful for the non-contractors like myself. Lol I walked around in the Doors section for a while. No one stopped to help. I saw one guy near me, but I thought he was a customer. Turns out, he worked there. He walked off without saying a word. I saw him later helping someone else out. I got help from another guy, but once again, I was feet away from him. He didn't say a word. I had to say excuse me. What brought the stars up on my review was the painting department. He approached me to ask if I needed help. The paint specialist was so knowledgeable and helpful. He listened to me and got me what I needed for my project. I really appreciated his help. Everything he suggested was exactly what I needed. I really wish I got his name. He is really good at his job. The check out clerk was kind as well. She was quick and greeted me friendly. Don't order your appliance from Home Depot unless you want this: I ordered a GE oven, it was delivered on 22 October, but was broken, though still functional. They left it here, saying they'd deliver a replacement on the 30th. Then the 30th was delayed until 4 November. A few days later, another delay, until 7 November. A few days later, another delay, to 13 November. I no longer believe they have ovens. Now I'll have to shop elsewhere. Of course, I only get a refund when they pick up their oven and return it to their warehouse. I expect delays with this too. I will say that during the initial delays Melissa was proactive and helpful, it's not her fault Home Depot can't deliver an oven. read more

We received an online order which was damaged. I went to the Brassfield Store to exchange the damaged order and Jessica at the Customer Service Desk was a First Class associate. She was able to go into the system ensure they had the correct product for exchange and let me know where the item was in the store. Once I returned back to the counter, she was assisting a gentleman who called in and lost his credit card. She was very efficient during my process and very responsive with the customer on the phone. I have been replacing blinds in the house and if the pricing at a specialty store wasn't 3x I'd never come here. The problem is not picking out the blinds the problem is getting them cut to the proper size. Now I will say that the few times that the young man named Dell was able to help me his service was extraordinary. Unfortunately they didn't have two sizes in the store that I needed and I had to order them online and that went fine they were delivered to the house but then bringing them into the store and getting them cut to size has been a nightmare. The first time I brought them in they cut one of them the wrong size and I had to have it re-cut The second time I've come in I've been waiting 25 minutes for a person to come over to cut them. There was a person and unfortunately I don't know his name but he was working in the flooring section and said he would be right over and I guess just decided he didn't want to do it and here I am 25 minutes later still waiting. it's just about useless coming into a home Depot unless you know exactly what you want and exactly where it is because it's almost impossible to find someone who's willing to help you. Made an online order around 12 PM today. Still hadn't heard anything by 4:30 PM (it was only two items) so I decided to call the paint department, was told that they cannot see online orders so I was transferred to customer service. The lady seemed bothered even when she answered the phone, I asked when she thought my online order would be ready (hopefully prompting them to work on it in case they missed it) Gave her the order number and all she said was "it's not ready" I asked how long it could be and she said "I'm not sure" so I asked if It would be quicker if I just came there and did it myself and she said probably so I just asked to cancel. Not helpful, how long does it take to grab two things or at least give someone a time frame and be kind? Serious, world class group of ass clowns here. We bought a new gas range and a new microwave from this place, and arranged for them to install both items - and we paid for installation and removal. Parked in front of our house, blocking a complete lane (facing the wrong way) of a narrow 2 lane street, rather than using the drive way, which I had cleared so they COULD USE IT - neighbors freaking loved it, I'm sure, but can't tell for sure since their not speaking to us! They tried to remove the old gas range, but could not, despite all their collective efforts (2 Bubbas and a wrench), uncouple the old range from the gas line. Said we would have to contact Piedmont Natural Gas to have it installed. Did manage to install the microwave, but took the serviceable old one (which I planned to take to the office) away. We kept smelling gas, and I turned on the vent fan, and we called Piedmont Natural Gas and reported the problem. We were told to put the phone down (not even hang it up), hit no light switches, and get out of the house. They arrived in just over 20 minutes, and shut off the gas - there was indeed a major leak (tech described it as an "18"), and we had been is serious danger, with perhaps the vent fan preventing a disaster. Note: this problem did not exist before the arrival of Bubba, and his other brother, Bubba! We have done a great deal of business with this location over the last 30 years, but you can bet your sweet ass we will do no more. I expect from time to time to be disappointed by establishments I do business with, but I do not expect to be put at risk of death by them. I'm not especially concerned by the fact that Yelp forces me to give this place a star, I'd just like to place it where I wish. read more

While I love HD especially appliance sales and online purchases, I would like to throw a word of caution out there around buying Beauty Rest bedding due to delivery issues. I bought a mattress, Simmons made it fast and it just sits waiting for Simmons transport contractor for delivery since 04 January three deliveries were cancelled mid afternoon of delivery day and now they say it'll deliver this Sunday 22 Jan The carrier RXO says they don't deliver on Sunday escalating to HD found that the delivery is out of their hands even though they will send you a delivery date Simmons has all logistics contractor control bad part is nobody can get the job done fair warning if you like broken promises and frustrstion jump in HD generally does well on online business but maybe this is not a sweet spot for them and finding info from Simmons seems to be impossible if you bought from another retailer another retailer that leaves logistics to Simmons go figure read more

They brought the gas range. The men were supposed to install it but they didn't. The head mover said they weren't allowed to do it because I had a Propane tank and the stove is Natural Gas stove. I paid for installation. I asked for a Propane Gas Stove when I bought it. I am very dissatisfied with them. If they couldn't install it, they should have brought someone who could or called someone who could do it on the same day. They left the stove in my living room. Another issue with this stove is that I paid for it in September. They were supposed to bring it in October. They then called and said they couldn't bring it until the day before Thanksgiving. I can't fix my Thanksgiving Dinner. Anyone reading this please do not get any appliances from Home Depot. They said the stove wasn't at the store but at a wearhouse in another city halfway across the state. read more

If I could give them a zero or negative star, I would. We bought flooring from Home Depot and were told that Romanoff would be doing the installation. We did some research and found that they have a number a really negative reviews online so we asked if we could have a different installer. Home Depot told us that we had to use Romanoff (their "preferred" installer) to get the warranty. We had planned on taking up the tile in the kitchen ourselves, but Home Depot told us that Romanoff would do it for $350, so we thought that's great and booked the extra service. When they arrived with the jackhammer to take up the tile we asked "Will you level the floor afterwards?" We were told yes. "Will you patch any holes that might be left?" Again we were told yes. Both of answers were lies. They didn't do either. I'll also add that we have quickrete ready to patch the holes ourselves if they had told us they didn't perform that service. They installed assured us that would not be necessary After they left, and we walked on the new floor it popped, snapped and flexed in multiple places. When we called them back about this it took days to get someone to come out and look at the problem. The same installers showed up and walked on the floor and told us they just needed to add an underlayment to fix the issue. They didn't take up a single board to see what the real problem was, probably because they knew the disaster they had left underneath. They also told us to go buy a couple of additional boxes of plank in case they damaged any when they took the floor up for repair. (Which we did Totally not our responsibility.) Not convinced the installers were telling the truth (they weren't) we gently took up some of the boards to look under to get a scope of the repair needed. This is tongue and groove flooring. Easy to take up. We were in no way prepared for the nightmare they had left behind. As you can see in the pictures below they left tons of mortar and grout on the subfloor and just laid the plank over it to hide it. We showed the images to Home Depot and initially they were shocked and said we have to make this right. We again asked for another installer and were told that the company that caused the disaster had to be allowed to fix it. However, when it finally came down to fixing the issue, neither Home Depot nor Romanoff are willing to either fix their mistakes or refund our money. We were forced by Home Depot to use this substandard company but they don't care. Don't use Romanoff and by extension don't use Home Depot since this will leave you stuck with Romanoff. I was always a Home Depot guy but loyalty isn't valued by Home Depot and it looks like Lowe's just gained a new customer. read more

This was my go to Home Depot. A week ago I went in to buy a fridge and stove. Found a nice Fridge on sale with a big sign on it stating the price. I told the Appliance person, I would love to buy this item, they stated..sure and started the process. After a few min he stated the price has gone back up ( did not reflect sale price and would get a manager to fix it) after 20 min Manager shows and looks at everything. And said -- sale ended the day before( was on the sign in fine print) but they forgot to take the sign down and refused to honor the price. He stated to call back the next day and the store manger could probably honor it as it was displayed price. Called them the next day and they flat refused. I took my business to Lowes. read more

Poorly managed store. I wasted a lot of time searching for an item because no store worker could be found. When I tried to check out, only the self help registers were available. I knew that this would be difficult to do a self checkout because I had a promotional item and I wanted to use my military discount. Of course it was a problem. I then had to wait for a worker to help, which she finally did temporarily and then left prior to me completing my purchase. Once my military discount was applied, the promotional item was eliminated. Unsatisfactory! So I get punished for using my military discount. Then there was additional problems at the return desk, which I am too mad to type out right now. This store is always difficult and therefore I will NOT be returning under any circumstance. Drove over 30 miles for an order I had placed online. the website promotes curbside pickup, which i thought was a great idea. Got there, followed the instructions and waited for my item. I finally became restless after 20 minutes of waiting and i had to go in the store. I was smart enough to grab a mask before heading over there otherwise, it would have been a disaster for me. i pick up the order and it was still in the safe. I could have waited an hour and the thing would have been in the store. this is unprofessional; do not advertise a service if you are not going to provide the service. We talked with a man sitting at the desk in the door area who told us the process, "come back anytime, you'll pay an amount of money, we'll schedule a day to come out and measure and access anything else that's needed, like rotted wood replaced. Then you'll pick a door, we'll get it ordered and schedule installation". Sounded great! We went tonight around 6:30 PM, couldn't find anyone in the door area. Called the store from cell phone and were told we should have scheduled an appointment and the door guy left at 6:15. If you run a store where "average" working people will go for help and will most likely go when they get off from work, why wouldn't you have someone available? NO customer service. Sent a stock person to us to re-iterate that we should have scheduled an appointment, even though this elusive "door guy" never told us that in the beginning! Gotta love the service! read more

However, if you need help in the garden section expect the place to be swarming with employees whether or not they are helpful is another question. Visited the Home Depot off of West Wendover and wish I never had. Associates were visible but it appears that every last one of them were on break. No one was offering help. I had a new account with the store & had not yet received my card, but had been able to use my ID & Home Depot number at other stores.
