I went to hHone Depot this afternoon to get assistance on a flashlight I had purchased a couple of years ago. II asked the woman where the flashlight department was. I told her my issue . she told me that the store didn't manufacture the product and I should call the help desk. Bob in the Hyannis Home Depot rental department deserves special recognition. Courteous and knowledgeable. We rented a steam vacuum cleaner for a couple days and Bob made sure we understood all the switches and functions before we walked out the door. He also made recommendations on the specific liquid cleansers we bought. Bob is the kind of guy you hope you find when you walk into an establishment and need to select a tool for the job. If Home Depot is handing out bonuses for customer satisfaction, we nominate Bob. Home Depot was our second stop that day - first stop was with a seemingly well-stocked tool rental establishment closer to us - but once we started asking questions the guys working there realized they didn't have the correct accessory hoses needed for stair cleaning - and their price was also considerably higher than Home Depot. read more

If you order lumber curb side they will give you all the trash lumber! Not to mention they will leave your order outside and unattended if you run in for a second between the tools and lumber I bought it was over $1,000 they left outside unattended and signed as if I received my order without my permission. read more

Unbelievable! So, the other day, I was tired of the stuff I had tried to return rolling around in my car. I was driving by HD Hyannis, and decided to try to return them, again. I walked in and there was no one in line! There was also not an employee in sight in the returns department. Stopwatch: During the next 6 minutes, at least a dozen "ambassadors" walked by and made eye contact with me. Not one stopped to ask if I needed help. They knew the routine: "not my job". Finally a "return specialist" showed up and took care of my return. I only hope that the 3 people waiting for this one clerk weren't on a revisit, like me. Adios, Home Depot..... I just dropped $100.00+ at Centerville Hardware, where I got great, knowledgable service with a smile and a "thank you". read more

No one to ask any questions or help Just like being in a warehouse environment . Had a problem with a lawn mower purchase, no help from the manufacture. They sent me to a repair shop that refused to look at it. Ended up repairing it myself on the first day of purchase. Pretty sad read more

This store is horrible! The aisles are stacked up making it difficult to see the products behind on the shelves. The staff is unhelpful. I stood in line to return an item the other day for quite. The clerk looked at me twice and finished her lengthy conversation with her co-worker about "nothing" before waiting on me. The staff are unknowledgeable about the products and processes in the departments in which they work. The plants are half dead and items are over priced. I will not return. I had a terrible experience buying paint. I brought in the sample cards, which I picked directly from this Home Depot location specifically in the one coat area. The sample cards indicated one coat paint and I expressed the need for one code paint when putting my order in. The only additional question they asked was flat matte or what type of shine and I did not check beyond that to ensure they gave me the one coat as I initially requested. It was not until I got out to the vehicle after paying that I realized it was indeed not a one coat paint. I went back in, spoke to the paint department and they informed me all paint is non-returnable, regardless of if it was my error or not.i read more

Everyone is MIA!, you cannot get an Emloyee to answer the main phone. When you get an AI voice it says "I can help you", youthen wind up in the abyss! i simply asked on four calls for Windows and Doors.., the phone rang 30 times finally hung called back same. I then called Asked for Manager, same BS, phone rang no Mgr or answer and then answered and your disconnected!‍, last time there i ordered a custom window, told by window guy they willgive me my Veterans 10% discount up front. Went up front to pay and told by a Jamaican thin guy and short woman, Oh they should of given you your veterans discount back there! We cannot or do not know how togive you your discount at this register! I will write it onyour receipt with ball point pen, so when you come back you can get your Veterans discount. My only reason for ever going back is pick up my custom window and run like hell! It's a Chinese Fire Drill, poorly managed asset, with little or no customer service. The only guy who knew his jub was guy a Veteran who sold me the window. No way to treat Veterans. The Management needs a course in "Answering the Phone" First point of contact! Pick up by 4th or 5th ring, no exceptions. VA discount up front with proof of VA, I showed my Marine Card. They have tons of merchandise, just atrocious management, and poor customer service. Employees hiding or BSing, rather then approach a customer and say " My name is Joe, What can I help you with today"? You place your life in the hands of this Home Depot store. God forbid if there's a fire in that location! Almost every aisle in the store is blocked by merchandise! I took pictures in the lumber aisles and wish I could provide them here but it would take up too much room. Even though they expanded the size of the store, management took the opportunity to clog those areas. This has been like this for several years! The management should be let go! In this day and age having an employee that aware of a positive customer service experience is a bonus - he's a keeper Home Depot. The window ac for my first floor died Monday night. Tuesday morning I went online to find a replacement. My local HD store didn't have any in stock, but there was one available from another store and it said if I ordered it they could deliver it by 8PM the same day, so I placed the order. Sat here all day waiting for it, but at almost 6:30 I got a text saying my order was canceled. Tuesday I searched again and found one at another store that is about a 1 hour drive, each way. I called that store and the automated phone machine said they did have 1 in stock, so I went online to pay for it so it would be there when I got there. I was about 5 minutes away from that store when I got a message saying this order was also canceled. When I had been searching I also found one at a Lowes that was about another 1/2 drive from the store I was on my way to, but the opposite direction from my home. I stopped and called that store and they said they had several in stock, so I drove there, found it and proceeded to try to pay for it. My credit card didn't have enough left on it to make my purchase because there was already over $1,200.00 charged to Home Depot, so I left without it, and was quite embarrassed being declined at the register. At that point, I drove the 1 1/2 hours back to my house. After much frustration I finally got a real person from HD on the phone to ask for my to get the charges on jy credit card removed and was advise it can take at least 5 days for that to happen. I'm a 73 year old disabled cancer patient and supposed to avoid heat. Yesterday it was 98 degrees in my living room after getting home from a 3 hour round trip. We are in the middle of a heat spell, and thanks to Home Depot holding my refund hostage I don't have funds available to purchase a replacement, anywhere! How can a company let you order something twice, pay for it, and later in the day decide to cancel you order, and not refund immediately? Thanks, HD for letting me take a 3 hour drive for nothing, and being publicly embarrassed when my card was declined! Now I can sit here sweating while I wait for them to be so kind to process my refund. On top of this, I have had so many problems with the Hyannis store I already dread having to go there for anything. Rude employees that don't help at all, showing things in stock on the website that can't be found when you get to the store, and if you can finally get past the automated phone to speak to a real person, the calls just disconnect while you are waiting. Ok if you are a casual do-it-your-selfer, don't go near this place or you will never ever try another dyi project again. If you are a professional, yes but check first because they are almost always out of what you want. Rental department, however, is new and very well stocked. Anyone else? Unclear but it is the only big box store on the Cape and it is a lot cheaper than the other lumberyards. Service is non-existent, staff is pretty clueless, aisles are full of huge carts of stuff no one seems to want to unload...I want to see my therapist after going there! Upside, Whole Foods next door, Lukes Liquor nearby, and Chick Fil-A is across the street. Strongly suggest you are hungry and need a drink before going to this husk of a store! read more

I really don't understand how they do business. The store is always a mess, things out of place, out of order, miserable quality of customer support on Pick-up/Return desk, some workers (not all of them) always in a bad mood treating you like crap, online orders ALWAYS come NASTY, sometimes damaged. The last product I bought was a Glass Shower Door. It was supposed to come in 4 packages. They only gave me 2 packages and couldn't find the other two. How did they lose 2 packages out of 4 that were supposed to be altogether!?. They asked me to go home and wait that they would continue to look for the packages and call once they find it. Can you guess the outcome??? Still waiting... I use to order things like this at the Wareham HD, and, besides being HD, they're MUCH better than the Hyannis one. This was the reason I had stopped buying things at the Hyannis unit, but I ended up forgetting the bad experience and made the mistake of buying there again. I read all the reviews and I must say after reading I will probably stay away from the LG appliances!! My experience was in the paint department with a gentleman named Jim and he was Fabulous! He was as busy as busy could be. While mixing paint he was telling people where to find items and I appreciated him acknowledging that he saw me and would be with me when he finished up with the order he was working on. He was extremely polite, very helpful and gave me an upgrade of paint because the paint I wanted was not in stock. This is what I call GREAT customer service. I have three more rooms to paint and I will be heading back to see Jim at Home Depot! read more

A new lease on life. This store in Hyannis has undergone quite the transformation. Though I am still trying to figure out where things are in the massive remodeling that was done, I am impressed with almost every sales associate you meet saying "hello" and asking if they can help. You still need to be wary of certain products, especially Behr paints, but the decision of what to carry is obviously corporate. This store as a whole has done a great job rising up from what it used to be. Keep it going. read more

What a horrible location. I have been to several locations and this one is by far the worst. You can not navigate any of the isles, as there is boxes and stuff everywhere. There are closed signs up with no one around and when you ask for help, they just say they are not sure and have no follow through. The people are grumpy and most not helpful. Although one guy went out of his way to find out if some chairs were available, everyone else is rude and unhelpful. If it wasn't the only location in the Cape, I would never go here. Corporate should come on by and see what's happening, it isn't good! Everyone we have talked to all agree that there is nothing or very little positive to say about this location. read more

This is undoubtedly the worst Home Depot I have ever been in. Yesterday I was there and ask for some help to load some Sheetrock since I am 85. One of the men who came to help was not only nasty with me but started cussing me. I ask for his name but he refused and just walked back in the store. The other employee was left alone and my daughter had to help load the Sheetrock. Due to this I will buy my materials at Lowes. What a way to run a business. I've had ok and terrible service here. Today we bought some wood. Didn't notice until we go home that they overcharged us. We called & they said no problem and to return to the store. We did and the woman In Returns was very nice. My husband told another person that the wood was much less expensive at Botellos. The HD policy is that they match prices. A very rude front end manager said they only match Lowe's prices. My husband then told him about the prices of screws in both stores. The manager turned around and said (not thinking my husband could hear him). "It's only $2.00! He also said HD's wood was so much better!! Funny that my husband had to buy a piece of plywood (the good stuff not junk) and actually, when putting it up, put has hand straight through it. Big voids are not good! I have been a faithful customer of Home Depot since they opened their stores in Massachusetts. I have been shopping at the Hyannis store for the past three years and I have to say the service at this store is horrible. If you have an issue with an order don't bother calling as they either won't pick up or disconnect you. Going into the store is not much better as their customer service employees have an edge. Defiantly not customer focused. Luckily a local lumber store just opens a new lumberyard in Yarmouth. I won't have to deal with the BS at the HD any longer. read more

Do not order cabinets from them. Find somewhere that can figure out how to get them to the destination before they fall apart. The first two cabinets had major damage. I've heard some horror stories that were no doubt exaggerated about this branch but I have never had a problem finding what I need or a helpful employee if I need assistance. Today for instance, I walk to the customer service desk first thing because it's not really a wander around and see what I can use day. All three employees are engaged in something so I wait patiently for 30 seconds or so before all three see me at almost the exact time and ask-in unison- "can I help you?" So I picked the person who was a split second sooner than the other two and within seconds am directed exactly where I need to be. read more

Just the WORST HD I have ever encountered. The staff runs away from you if you have a question. When you do actually ask an associate a question they have no clue. An associate told me "I haven't seen that item in months".....took me three minutes of looking and I was able to find the item myself. The associates are rude and poorly trained. Best to find things yourself with the HD app. The cashiers are numbingly apathetic. More concerned about their breaks than any customer waiting in line. I hate this place with a passion and so do my friends. The only reason the Hyannis location stays in business is because they have no competition. I went here recently to purchase some paint brushes and polyurethane. When I asked the lady at the paint desk where I could find those, she simply said "um, right there?" as if I was an idiot. Neither were in fact, "right there". I recently went to Home Depot in Hyannis it was a total nightmare. I tried to purchase mulch from the garden shop which was moved to the middle of the parking lot the other side of the store. I went to the register ordered 20 bags of mulch went over to the area to pick it up and I was told by a staff member that I needed to get a cart put it in the cart take it out to my car in the parking lot and then look around for a staff memberin the lot to help. I asked well could I bring my car up to the front of the store and she said no that's not possible I'm 69 years old I cannot pick up 20 bags of mulch After all this I was told sorry we're out of mulch I went back to the register to get a credit I was now told I need to go to customer service I was like are you kidding me didn't you know there wasn't any I then walked over there and had to stand in line again for 20 minutes needless to say I haven't gone back to get mulch I'm not going to that store the parking lot is a total mess you can't get around you've got the construction people trying to get their things you've got people try to get their things from the garden shop I don't know what idiot designEd that change. I drove 45 minutes to get to the Hyannis store and got there at 8:40 AM. When I got there the Items I came for were on a pallet high on a shelf. I asked two different associates if there was a way to get them down. They went looking for a fork lift driver and said there should be one after 9:30 so I waited. At 9:45 there wasn't a driver and it turns out there wasn't going to be one today. I've spent $10,000 there in the last two years, not anymore. How do you not have at least one forklift driver all the time. There were plenty associates walking around that couldn't help. Waste of three hours. read more

The Ryobi rep would only give her first name, when I asked for her last name she laughed in my face and walked away, which to me is unacceptable. They then give you the excuse they're under renovations. Well not an excuse to be rude and unprofessional. I went to the the Wareham Home Depot. What a difference, the staff was not only very helpful, they actually listen and give you results. So if you live on the Cape it's worth trip to Wareham. This is the worst store I've been in. 80% of the lanes are cluttered with merchandise. No way you can maintain 6 foot social distance which is a state violation. God forbid there was a fire in the store- many lives would be loss! The managers are using the lanes for storage! I will contact the police and the state. Buyer beware! Do not order a major appliance from Home Depot and expect truthfulness on the delivery. Once you give the store your money, your purchase apparently goes into a black hole of manufacturer/shipper and you can expect to be not informed and disappointed. Our order and delivery appeared to be seamless, until the day of arrival did not happen. I understand that the virus is wreaking havoc on some services, but with all of the computerized updates you get, they should be able to tell you that your order ISN'T coming - instead of you waiting for it all day. This Home Depot is under construction, so I understand things are in flux, but the staff was so unhelpful. First off I wanted to get some keys made....not a staff person in sight so I gave up. I finally found an older woman. I asked if she knew where tool belts were. All she said was " nope" and walked off. Really? Worst Home Depot ever. Just look at the other reviews on this store. Placed an order for a special item. I received a call stating this item was in. I advised them that I was out of state and asked how long did I have to pick up the order. I was told since the order was paid for, they would put a note indicating so. Drove an hour to pick up the order today and was told they tried calling me several times and always got a message saying my mailbox was full, which is not true. Order was sent back but interestingly enough I never received a refund for the order they claimed they sent back. Bad customer service all the way around. read more

I had exceptional service today! My days of being able to lift heavy objects has passed. I was looking for a new toilet for my plumber to install. I knew what brand I wanted and the specs. Eddie helped me decide on the best model, went to get a flat cart and lifted the box onto it. He called for someone to help me get it into my SUV. Ivan quickly met me in the front to do that.....I only gave 4 stars because of the construction going on outside. Hard to find a parking space and ways to move around the parking lot should be better marked. read more
