I saw an ad for full sized candy bars at a great price! Too good to be true... well it was indeed. The ad stated 48 ct of 1.86 ounce snickers (full size) for $3.39. So I ordered 5 boxes for Halloween. See the photos for proof. We'll guess what I received... 5... yes 5 candy bars. Not 5 boxes of 48 bars each as advertises..... 5 bars. False advertising? Bait and Switch? Shame in Home Depot.

Warped so bad right out of the box they hardly function at all

There's no place for 0 stars, so I guess they get one to warn others from this happening to them. I bought custom blinds & had a handyman install them in a rental 5-6 weeks after purchasing. Warped so bad right out of the box they hardly function at all. I was told there was nothing they could do as it was past the warranty period. Out of 24 windows, 5 looked ok, 14 were warped bad & 5 barely function at all. Don't let this happen to you

Home Depot is a hardware store that has a wide variety of appliances, kitchen remodeling, patio furniture, BBQ, grills, containers, and much more! This location is off of the 95N/Ann exit in the Centennial Plaza with spacious amount of parking available. You could spend at least an hour inside looking at all of their offerings! My daughter and I stopped in to buy a few storage containers. It was relatively easy to locate the containers towards the end of the Home Depot store. Check out was a breeze with their new self service check out! This is a great store for any type of hardware requirements.

This is the store closest to me so the one I usually go to, but not my favorite. Now that it is almost fall, we're getting all the Halloween decorations. This one's interesting... This thing says it's going to take this little girls soul. I wonder if Home Depot will be putting up a nativity scene this year? Or will that be too offensive?

All the staff were so friendly, funny, and genuinely helpful. The staff member who led the event walked us through choosing our plants based on lighting and where we planned to put them. We got clear and thorough care instructions (which I definitely needed because I usually accidentally kill my plants ). They even offer house calls & virtual help if you're struggling with your plants, which is amazing. I could've saved many a plant had I known about this spot, lol. Anyway, the shop has beautiful plants, cute accessories, and I love how the event space was decorated. There was plenty of seating & they host workshops regularly. There were cocktails, mocktails, water, and snacks available for purchase. Overall, it was such a positive & uplifting experience. I loved getting my hands dirty & creating something myself. I highly recommend browsing the shop or attending an event!

...Have you ever felt like someone was lying before they finished their sentence?…read more Standing in the back area of Star Nursery on Ann, I needed to look Janet in the eyes while she denied responsibility. Her voice... calm, confident, and practiced. To anyone who hadn't done their own research, it probably sounded believable. I had already connected too many dots. What unsettled me wasn't merely the inconvenience. I could tell she recognized me as I approached. My motive was to congratulate her successful ploy. I asked the 3 ladies, Janet clearly the senior voice among them, about soil recommendations. As I listened and observed, I realized this was bigger than soil. Months earlier, I came to the nursery looking for guidance. I'd called the day before to confirm that someone could assist me in repotting a plant. Like many people, I trusted the expertise of Janet who seems to have spent years in this profession. That trust mattered. The younger staff members were immediately helpful. A tall gentleman who'd been planting strawberries and a younger woman tending the booth, didn't hesitate. Then Janet approached. She seemed concerned what they were helping with and quickly let me know, "We don't repot plants here." "Forgive me beloved. I wouldn't be here had I not called last evening to confirm first." I told her. Perhaps that was the straw, but who knows. What I do know, is Janet isn't a fan of self watering pots. I learned this as she instructed the young man to put holes in the bottom of the pot (which eliminates the intended functionality and would later create a mess in my living room) I implore you to ask her perspective on these pots if you'd like to confirm the accuracy of this testimony. The soil she recommended became the center of a problem that spread throughout my home. Fungus gnats appeared in overwhelming numbers. Soon it wasn't just a gardening issue. My wife noticed them. My children noticed them. Every room became a battleground against insects that multiplied faster than we could eliminate them. Hours were lost. Money was spent. Frustration became routine. The problem extended beyond plants and pots. It disrupted our home and our peace. Have you ever swallowed a fungus gnat? How about been interrupted by some while you have dinner and watch Netflix? How about waking up to one on your face? This was a foresaw reality Janet knew would come. When I returned seeking answers, I didn't expect professionalism. Maybe false concern at best or even accountability. Instead, I witnessed what happens when expertise stops serving customers and starts protecting itself. Experience is valuable, but without accountability, other perspectives get dismissed and customer service fades into the background. The signs aren't always dramatic. Sometimes they appear in small moments: The shrug. The dismissal. The refusal to acknowledge another person's experience. As I left the nursery, I wasn't angry. I was clear. The real loss was never the money, the soil, or even the months spent fighting the infestation. It was the realization that broken trust is far harder to restore than damaged plants. That's the lesson I carried home. Businesses grow through reputation. Relationships grow through honesty. Expertise earns respect only when it is paired with accountability. Without those things, confidence becomes arrogance, and experience becomes little more than a shield against criticism. Whether this situation resulted from poor judgment, bad information, or something else is for management to determine. My responsibility is different. My responsibility is to share this testimony, learn from it, and encourage others to pay attention. Character reveals itself clearly when something goes wrong. Not in the sale. Not in the promise. In the response. A noticeable observation was how the other staff responded. The least experienced staff member noticed what was happening and became quiet. Seemingly as to stay in line of Janet's authority. The other, simply agreed with Janet by default. I believe this to be how she protects job security. There's a disease breeding in this establishment. Staff might be afraid to speak when they see something wrong. I'm not.

My overall experience at Star Nursery was good while I was shopping, and I found what I needed…read more However, I did have a frustrating experience during checkout. When I went to pay, I tapped my card and the transaction went through. Right after that, the cashier said she forgot something and canceled the order. It appeared that an item may not have been rung up, but instead of explaining the situation and asking how I wanted to handle it (for example, doing a separate transaction or adding the item), the transaction was canceled. The issue is that the money had already been taken out of my account. I was then expected to pay again while waiting for the original charge to "fall off" the next day. While the cashier and manager both explained that it would correct itself, that doesn't help in the moment when the money is still out of your account. For me, customer service is about communication. If the cashier had simply paused and explained the situation clearly instead of talking with coworkers and canceling the transaction without explaining, it would have made the situation much smoother. Shopping there was fine, but the checkout experience that day could have been handled much better.

I was quoted about $92 per ton for river rock, while other spots were noticeably higher for the same thing. Customer service over the phone was great too... super helpful, answered my questions without trying to upsell me, and just made the whole process easy. Delivery was only $50, which honestly surprised me because a lot of places tack on way more. Only thing I'll say, why is rock so expensive in Las Vegas when we're literally surrounded by it? But compared to other quotes I got, this was definitely the best deal and the least stressful experience. If you're looking for bulk rock and don't want to feel overcharged, this is a solid place to start.

They're also running 50% off pots right now, which is a nice bonus because their pots can be a little pricey but you can definitely tell it's because of the quality. With the sale, it actually feels worth it. The whole place was clean and organized, and the staff were friendly and easy to approach if you had questions. Only thing I noticed (and kinda missed lol) no cats at this location. I've seen the little nursery cats at other Star locations and they're always a cute touch. Still, overall a solid spot if you're looking for good indoor plants and quality pots.

There were a few people in the office when I arrived. A ranger in the office helped me locate the plants I was interested in and were available. A few carts are available to help bring plants to the office and out to my vehicle. At the time, the greenhouses were not open. The plants in the greenhouses were being prepared for future sales in the Fall. Plant payment options are either cash or credit card. She asked for my name and phone number and entered that data along with the plants purchased in the computer. The ranger said that the data can be used if I ever want to know my plant purchase history. The prices for the plants I wanted were reasonable IMO. The penstemmon and desert marigold were of good size and looked healthy. It's a nice plant nursery offering pretty views of the mountains. I will return in the Fall to check out what is offered. The Ranger said to check the website for the Fall plant availability list around late September to early in October. I'm hoping the dirt road will get paved soon now that the nursery is open to the public.
