He didn't just help, he actually cared. Took his time, explained everything, and made sure I wasn't wasting money. He made sure I understood warranties on expensive tools that I have purchased and also want to purchase. He really gave me knowledge even about things that I didn't know I needed to know. I was blown away! And enjoyed every minute of our conversation. I come here a few times a week and work for a plumbing company speaking with contractors all day, and I will absolutely be recommending Willie and this store to everyone I know. As close parking dwindles, employees are once again taking up the pro parking spots. my crew and I are here almost daily and often the same cars are parked in the pro customer parking. I literally just witnessed an employee park in the closest pro parking spot to the entrance and walk in with another employee carrying lunch. It's very frustrating that there is no accountability nor integrity on behalf of those employees that take up customer parking. The locked bathrooms, which I understand why it done, to keep the crackheads and vagrants out, is still very inconvenient. I will say a large majority of the employees provide exceptional customer service but there are still quite a few associates on there phone and not even acknowledging customers when the walk in. I just want to say I had the worst experience buying and having a washer and dryer delivered. They are supposed to call you and wait at least 15min. They did not do that I drove all the way there and you guys said that the delivery driver was already back at the yard. They did not even give me 15 min to get there. I would strongly not recommend this Laveen Home Depot. I purchased my entire house cabinets and countertops at this location and had the worst experience. The cabinet installers damaged several cabinets and the designer measured the wrong size bathroom cabinets for the under mount sinks. They did not take ownership and correct their mistakes. DO not come here and take your business somewhere else that provides quality and great customer service. read more

Attitude, ADA violations, and no humans at checkout. First let me say that Home Depot has a mixed history for me. Some are great. This one? No. To start, every single staff person was rude with only one guy being kind, an older gentleman. The bathroom was inaccessible, with no handle and only a foot thing that was loose. Once I got in I discovered it wasn't even worth the effort. The bathroom was dirty, smelly, and unkempt. The soap was empty too. We found a few things we needed and we checked out. There were no humans to check us out, only machines. It was a very impersonal experience.... until we scanned the spray can. The machine loudly announced we needed help! I was embarrassed for drawing the attention of everyone... but the staff. After a minute, a woman came over and rolled her eyes. She asked if I was 18 to which I said yes. She said "Are you giving me attitude?" She spoke like she was above me, like I was a bother. I apologized and she said "don't let it happen again." I was t going to write a review but that pissed me off. I think of people as equals, but she acted like she was the pope. All this made for an awful experience. And as for coming back? It turns out she orders the wrong panels for our fridge so no we have to cancel the whole order and re order it again! And wait another month! This is my first experience renting power washers with Home Depot. I was very thorough when the guy went over how to use it. I brought it home & I couldn't get it to work right. I called my cousin (who is a painter) & he said it's missing a washer I also confirmed it on YouTube. I brought it back after losing a workday. The manager Christian was very rude he said if I didn't call there's nothing he can do. I said I wasn't able to use this machine at all because of something on the stores end. I advised if I buy something from you guys it should work right? He finally ended up giving me 50% off & it takes days to go back into my account. Good customer service would give me a full refund as I wasn't able to use the product. I just through money away today because they made a mistake. That's horrible business. If you ever need a manager from here don't work with Christian he's rude, has no customer service & no common since, he will charge you for nothing take my word for it. read more

I went here a few days ago to look for an item that I had seen on the Home Depot app and the item was listed for a discounted price. I came to the store just to verify if that price was correct and saw that the price matched and went to self checkout and the price was ringing up incorrectly. I had several sale associates and a manager tell me they couldn't do anything about it or honor the sale that was on the Home Depot app and in store. Which is odd because all they have to do is manually change the price. As someone who goes to Home Depot frequently and knows how the POS system works it was frustrating for the manager to lie straight to my face. I know Home Depot honors price matching and sales so I really couldn't understand why this couldn't be done. Will be reaching out to corporate about the issue. read more

Today 9/4/18 around 1600, me and my boyfriend came to look for some stuff in the hardware department before asking for help, when my boyfriend asked George about where he could find a tool, RUDE George pointed somewhere in the back like if we knew where the that tool could be, but instead of telling my bf," give me a second sir I'll be right with you," he was just rude about it. So we ignored it and just looked for it ourselves and when we couldn't find it I asked for help(if I knew it was Rude George then one that was gonna help us, I wouldn't of asked for help)....Well George comes towards me and I told him that I'm still looking for the tool that my bf asked him for. So George took us where the tool was at and just pointed it out and walked away but like in a rude way!! So come on Rude George is you don't like dealing with customers then I suggest you find a different type of job that has nothing to do with customer service. The front counter ladies where very nice and their service was on point. So next time George if you are taking care of a customer and another customer approaches you, don't be rude just tell them to give you a second to finished taking care of the customer you are with. read more

I came this location to buy some materials, I left my cart with ply woods and other materials aside, then I took another cart to go get more supplies, when I came back to pay my other cart wasn't where I left it, so then I asked an associate where my cart was and she told me that they had probably moved it to another isle or they restocked it, then I had to go get the stuff again. That's not the problem, the problem is that I knew the workers who did it because they were laughing at me from a distance while I got my stuff again, I just find this very disrespectful. read more

I had an awful experience ordering a dishwasher from this location. They were nice when I purchased the device. However upon delivery they said they couldn't install the dishwasher upon delivery because I had plastic valves. I thought I may have missed something so I went through the paper work and I found nothing about Plastic valves causing no installation. On top of this even though the valve is plastic, the connection point is metal. After this I had to refuse delivery and they wouldn't take away the old dishwasher which I also paid for ahead of time because of the same issue. It got worse after I went to the store, they didn't seem to want to help me out at all. Ive been without a dishwasher for two weeks waiting on this specific one, I Told them I would be able to change the valves tonight if they could return tomorrow to install the device. they said the earliest would be MAY 1st which is another two and a half weeks from today. I asked to speak to a manager, The store manager was said to not be there. I asked to speak to another manager and she was conveniently on lunch...after all of this they couldn't even refund me the whole amount, I have to wait three days to go get my money back. Took 15 minutes to find someone to help who promptly said we can't help it if people steal stuff. Lmao how do you steal 57 very large bags of insulation. 90% of the time if home depot website says they have something in stocks it's wrong. It's very simple, count your stock and when someone checks out deduct it from inventory. Went to Lowes and they had everything, helped me to the checkout counter and even loaded it in truck. I'm rating HOME DEPOT CHRISTMAS TREES. This is the second year we've purchased our Christmas tree from this store and from two different locations. Either the guys didn't cut the tree trunk enough or they forgot to tell us to cut the trunk again when we got home (don't think WE should be cutting the tree trunk) but the tree basically didn't take any water from the day we got it. We immediately put it in water as soon as we got it home from the store. I waited for the branches to drop for approximately 2 days, which really didn't happen and then put ornaments on it hoping the branches would drop from the weight of the ornaments. About a week after having it up, my girlfriend mentioned she also bought her tree from HD and it wasn't taking water and returned it. By this time, we were not about to take off all of the ornaments so we only turned the lights on for about 30 min each night until Christmas morning. By then the kids could easily break off the branches to the tree. Looking back to last year, the tree didn't take much water then and also by Christmas the tree was extremely dry. Also, another friend discovered HD had spray painted the bark green when they got their tree to their house. Because of the fire danger with dry trees I just wanted to give everyone a heads up to reconsider where you purchase your tree. read more

I went in to buy a Milwaukee tool deal I saw online for a drill driver and an impact driver and I saw the exact deal on one of the end caps. I asked an employee to grab the tools for me because they were locked up with 3 security tags ( seemed excessive, but I'm sure those tools get stolen a lot). When I went to ring the tools up the price was not accurate and I asked for a price adjustment. I showed the cashier that the price online was 50$ cheaper and the price on the end cap reflected the online price so I thought she could just glance over and change the price to what it said on the massive endcap sign. But unfortunately,I was wrong. I waited for about 20 minutes while she called several people over to rectify the price, and that made my experience less than favorable. But this location has an astounding return policy and top notch customer service. Aside from the single mishap they've made my shopping experience really seamless and enjoyable. read more

I walked into the tool rental section and described the job I need to do, one of their tool rental guys handed me a tool and rung me up for a 24 hour rental. When I got home I prepared my work area and was about to start when I saw that it was entirely the wrong tool for the job - so I drove right back and returned the tool. The manager on duty refused to budge on charging me the rental fee even though I didn't use the tool. I saw that they do have the right tool that I needed all along, and asked to just exchange the tool and pay the difference if the other tool cost more, again the manager would not budge. He cited the opportunity cost of the tool not being available for other people to rent, but they have several of that tool in stock and it's not like there was a line of people trying to rent it during the couple hours it took me to drive home, get ready to work and then drive the tool back - so he was just using that as an excuse, it has no merit. That's just bad customer service - they could have worked with me for a win-win but they chose to lose me as a customer, waste my time and waste their customer service personnel's time as I pursue satisfaction. Update: After talking at length to the general managers of 2 different Home Depot stores and a couple of other people within the organization they have refunded my money and the senior management apologized to me profusely. I still find myself disappointed that the manager-on-duty from my initial visit wasn't prepared to see the win-win right up front when it was in his face, and I hope that this experience triggered some training updates to make life easier and more productive for everyone. read more
