Very frustrating experience with this Harbor Freight location. This has happened to me multiple times now: I call the store before making the drive specifically to confirm an item is in stock. An employee tells me they have it, but when I arrive, suddenly they can't find it or it isn't actually available. I understand inventory systems aren't always perfect, but when a customer calls the store and an employee confirms the item is physically in stock, I expect that information to be accurate. The whole reason I call ahead is to avoid wasting a trip. read more

Had a terrible customer service experience on 3/15/25. The checkout person (Mark Anthony) treated me like he was annoyed with me. He wouldn't help with the coupons or the one sent via text. I decided to return all the items I purchased after I called customer service and they hung up on me. They didn't ven call back after I just gave them my number. While getting a refund, I realized they doùble charged me for tape. The gal refunded me the full amount and made it right. I don't shop at places that treat me poorly. Good luck if you shop here. There are plenty of options to shop for tools. Dont let them treat you like they treated me! Then, one of the employees dented my car with a shopping cart. Had to fill out an incident report and they wouldn't give me a copy. Harbor Freight is not good luck for me! read more

Dangerous environment. I was in the other day and they were restocking shelves (normal), but they had several flat pull carts in the aisles. In the aisle that I was looking there were three or four just sitting there. They should only have those on the floor if they are ACTIVELY restocking, it shouldn't be a storage location. Anyway, I was searching for my product and I tried to walk around one of the carts to only stumble on another cart that I didn't see. Result? I banged both ankles/shin on the cart and have huge bruising etc. I barely stopped myself from falling over the cart and face planting in the tool shelves. The worst part is a store employee SAW me trip, never said a word. I took my items to the cashier and said that I almost died and that they need to clear that up. He could not have cared less. A superviser then came up and I said the same to her. Same response. She eventually did call a manager who showed some concern, but not a SINGLE employee there said "are you alright?". Terrible store and their prices used to be good, but not anymore. Way better deals on Amazon or Temu. Harbour Freight is too worried about getting you to sign up for their "club". read more

We purchased a pressure washer with a 2 yr warranty on 1/4/21 for our business. We just opened the box today and it didn't work straight out of the box. We went back to the store to replace this unit today. They gave us the new pressure and explained that our original 2 yr warranty is now void and we also do not get a free 90 day warranty on the new pressure washer. The "manager" on duty (Mary Grace) was extremely rude when addressing my concerns and continued to talk over me and give heavy sighs instead of listening to me. We paid $87.99 for a 2 year warranty. We brought it in 120 days after we purchased it (30 days after the "free" 90 day warranty that everyone gets), on the same day we actually opened the box to try it, and it didn't work. We not only were not honored our original 2 yr warranty that we had just purchased 4 months ago, but we were also told that we do not get the standard 90 day warranty on the new unit (so essentially if we open it today and it doesn't work - again - then we can't bring it into return/replace it). We were told we can purchase a 1 yr warranty on the new unit for $80-ish or a 2 yr warranty for $140-ish. I also don't understand how the price of the 2 yr warranty can go up $50+ in less than 4 months on the exact same unit. We've purchased compactors, drills, etc. from Harbor Freight in the past and when we bring it in if it's broken, they replace it - no questions asked - and we still have until the end of our original warranty from the original purchase date for coverage. This is an extremely poor policy, but the worst part for me is the terrible customer service. There are much better ways to communicate with customers without cutting them off, sighing while they try to speak, belittle their value as a customer and give zero options. After I asked for a phone number where I could address this further, she walked away and said "I don't know - go look it up". I've worked in customer service management for years - and can't possibly imagine ever speaking to a customer like this. I do not recommend. read more

Disappointed in one of the employees. One girl cashier had a lot of people she was helping cashing out doing a good job. Then there's this guys line named Javier and we were waiting in his line and out of no where he just walks away from checking people out and we were next in line and didn't even say anything. So we waited and he just started doing something else trying not to look at us so we go to the ladies line and now the line is super long and after 10 min he comes back and starts cashing the people behind me out that hasn't even been waiting that long. read more

These guys are really friendly. Trust me. I have been to probably over 10 Harbor Freight Tools but mostly in California. Which I thought was weird because i think customer service in California is better. But this store has great service. I go in with the Free Stuff Coupon and they are still smiling and helpful even if I just go in for the free stuff. Other stores, the cashiers have sour faces and no customer service. I guess don't work for a store that advertises free stuff. LOL read more

Good stuff for the price, keep the receipt because if it has working parts you'll probably need it. Hand tools work fine but don't expect high quality, you get what u pay for but they have great value . Stay away from electronics but you can't beat the prices with their coupons! read more

I love coming here. Always had a fast and good experience shopping here but this week was awesome. Shout out to Kalicia (I think I misspelled that lol) and Marie Grace for helping me out without me asking. Long story short I went to buy one thing and walked out with a Mechanics Tool Drawer, Jack Stands, a compressor, a mechanics roller creeper for under the car and when I went to pay these nice girls were able to hook me up with a coupons and discounts that I didn't even ask for and even got me a membership after some price arrangements with the discounts. To top it all off they were very friendly. Store is clean, organized, and never super packed. 10/10 will shop here again. read more

Found out Harbor Freight Tools recently opened a new store in Avondale. On the S/W corner of Dysart and Van Buren. ALL RIGHT! I thought at the time, but found out later not so ALL RIGHT. Went there to purchase a multi-meter which was on sale for 50% off. It was $9.99 but sale price was only $4.99. Cool...It wasn't a top of the line meter but it was ok for my needs ie. checking batteries and some minor trouble shooting etc. I also noticed some rechargeable drills on sale too. Got all the way home and discovered some segments missing from the digital display and had to exchange it for a good one the next day. I opened and tried it in the store to make sure it was good. No problems and staff was courteous and helpful. Remembering the sale on drills the following day, I mentioned it to my wife and she suggested to my daughter that it would make a good Father's Day present. My daughter and I went there and purchased an 18 volt rechargeable drill for $29.00 on sale for $19.00. Got all the way home and found that the drill worked great but the battery charger was damaged. Had to drive all the way back the next day to exchange it for a good one. All told, 4 days, 100 miles about $12.00 in gas not to mention the time factor, it was an unexpected ordeal to say the least. The money I saved on the tools went to paying for the gas. My suggestion to all future customers that read this is to make sure the items work properly before leaving the store if possible and save your receipt. They also have a 90 day return policy. To like this place, you have to have lots of time and patience and not much money. On Saturdays the checkout lines are extremely long and extremely slow. And any help finding something is nonexistent. Walmart at 3 am has more help finding things. read more
