I ordered a 1400 Murphy med and was missing one key part. I am not able to get goo kneeler to arrange to have the missing part sent to me. My options are to return and get a new one. The problem is that there are 4 large boxes that have been opened and sorted. This took 2 hours . It is almost have way out together. Another 2 hours. Then spent 1 .5 hours on the phone trying to get the part. The manufacturer misnamed the part and sent me two #1's and no # 2. The one that was marked as #2 was really a 1. I don't want to spend 4-5 more hours putting this together. I just want the replacement part or Home Depot to comp me to have their team put it together. No luck with either . . read more

Imagine driving around the dirt roads of Kansas and you happen upon the County of Leavenworth, population 77,000. Eventually the dirt roads turn into paved roads, which is nice, but you realize that you're still pretty far from any metropolitan complex. You'd probably expect that folks, while friendly, might not have as much to offer as "big city" types. And you'd be correct. This Home Depot is a "70k Store," designed to provide for most of the home improvement needs of a population center that numbers 70,000 people. Basic lumber, plumbing, storage, lawn care, etc. is all one should expect. I've even been caught at looking for something online at homedepot.com that says is available at the store on Main Street, but quickly found out the website doesn't really look at the available stock. If you want a Home Depot "superstore" you're going to have to travel further into Kansas City. But, seeing as how you're a smart person, researching your options, you probably already knew that. The Home Depot at Leavenworth... nice folk who'll do what they can to help. Just don't expect to find that new whiz-bang home improvement gadget while you're there. read more

My favorite toy store now that I own a house. I've visited quite often for the past month and invariably they have smiles and good attitudes all around the store. When I have needed help someone was right there yet I never felt like anyone was pushy. Selection in most categories is broad with good prices. read more

Clean. When you can find staff they are very helpful.Lots of parking. Great location. Only downside is the garden area...it was a huge challenge to find help from someone who knew plants (the cashiers of the area do not). They paged for help and rarely was the service worth the wait. Well, they STILL don't discount everything for Vets, and the items that aren't discounted aren't labeled as such, so you have no idea if an item qualifies until you get to the checkout. Nor was I impressed with a "manager" whose reaction to my experience with the mysoginist on her staff was a pathetic "I'm sorry." WARNING!!! Their appliances delivery stinks. They use Linn Star Transfer, Inc and they do a horrible job. Be prepared to lose a few days waiting for them. They send their delivery personnel understaffed and even expected a single driver to deliver refrigerators by himself. I have a stove in my garage waiting for them for two days because the driver could not bring the stove upstairs since he was alone!! From now on I am taking all by business to Nebraska Furniture. Believe me, it does no good to complain. I have done it several times. Linn Star Transfer Inc delivery time frame means nothing and they don't even call you to tell that they are late! Home Depot reminds me of the post office and DMV, you have to go there because there is no other option. Creates a problem with no competition the costumer service becomes lazy. Leavenworth store has about 2 solid workers, one in kitchen design the other all over the place. Recently my Grandson came home with comments on his adventure through The Home Depot with his friends. he told me that him and his friends were not given the privacy of shopping. they were continuously followed and being watched around every corner. he specifically told me about when they were checking out the very cool giant vaults, they were continuously asked if they were ok or if they need any help with anything or even if they were intending on buying anything. they felt very uncomfortable and they will probably never be back. read more

The kids workshops are great!! Kids are able to create their own project by using a hammer and nails. Great hands on experience!! I invited The Home Depot to come to our school and build with the kids and they surpassed my expectations!! Three employees came and helped the kids learn how to build things!! These three were great with the kids!! The kids loved it as did I. I will definitely be asking them to return next summer!! Mission Accomplished! A BIG SHOUT OUT to Home Depot and AMVET's!! A Tornado strikes a Soldier's Family while he's deployed with the 138th Infantry Battalion in support of Operation New Dawn (Mid-East). A frantic wife (Amber with three sons [10, 15 & 17]) called Patriot Outreach for help. The damaged was extensive; requiring a new roof and gutters, structural and electrical repairs, and a new fence. Patriot Outreach through one of it's 40 & 8 V/L 1163 members, assisted and guided her through the damage and shock. We are happy to report the final repairs were just completed by Home Depot and AMVET's with building a new fence. Zeus and Apollo (their two Huskies) are thrilled. The wife, Amber, is ecstatic. SSG Oehring skyped in from the Mid-East to thank the volunteers (Travis Merritt, Geoff Randell, Larry Proll, Alan Jeffries) for building the fence and giving him peace of mind! Priceless!! This is a clean store and well run, with very friendly, helpful employees. Yes, it's a smaller store as another reviewer pointed out and doesn't have everything, but considering this is a smaller community I guess we don't rate a larger store. I had stopped shopping at HD years ago because I always found Lowe's to have nicer stores and employees, but this Home Depot is a big step up from others I've visited in the past.
