Buyer Beware! I purchased a refrigerator from the local Leesburg, Florida Home Depot on December 18th. I was given a delivery date of December 19th. The delivery date was changed to the following day which I had no problem with. I was told that they would be at my house between 7 and 11 AM. I was up at 5:30 in the morning to empty my fridge and get everything ready for them to take it away. At 9:30 I received a text saying that they had changed the date from Saturday, December 20 to Monday, December 22. At that point I canceled the order completely. I followed up in the store and I was told that I would not get my credit $1500 for 5 to 7 days even though I paid with a debit card They were treating it as I had paid with a credit card. I do not recommend the Home Depot to anyone go anywhere else but. Still trying to get my money back. read more

I did a pick up at 5 pm on Thursday September 18th. One employee was ringing someone up and 3 employees were standing around behind the counter chatting. They saw me but made no move to acknowledge me. I waited several minutes and the cashier looked at me and asked "pick up?" I said yeah. He said he would be with me after finishing the transaction. He came over and I told him the name on the order when the other 3 employees sprang to action like they were good employees. What a joke! I I were the manager, they would be canned. You don't just ignore the customer, they're the reason you have a job! Will be letting home office in Atlanta know and I'm sure it's all on their store cameras. read more

my family got an air conditioning installed by ARS through Home Depot. One star is being generous. When the sales guy came in he first tried to start charging us $13,000. For a package unit for a double wide trailer. He knocked the price down to $8000. They came out in the pouring down rain and installed the unit. The unit looked like it was thrown off the back of a truck. It was all scratched and dented up and was even missing the nameplate on the front of it. There was a white substance all over it, which has been confirmed by another air conditioning mechanic to be the residue from coil cleaner. Why would a brand new unit have coil cleaner all over it? After getting nowhere with the contractor, we immediately called Home Depot, where we spoke to Ramone Esteves (Home Depot Services Manage) who agreed to help us get this resolved. After multiple back-and-forth, he became impossible to work with. Even after sending him all the pictures and information of what was going on with this unit.We found out that this was last year's model. We believe this was a used unit they sold us. Two days after the installation, the unit stopped working. They had to come out and put refrigerant in it. The technician told us that it had a leak at the service port. We asked him to fix it and he refused and got in his truck and drove away. We requested the company to replace the unit with a new unit and they refused. The county inspector came out and failed it. He also thought that it may be a used unit. We have also found out from another air-conditioning mechanic that the heat side of the package unit was never even hooked up. During the installation they even trampled our bush next to the unit, promised to replace it then changed their mind. They then agreed to come out and pick it up so that we could have a new contractor install a new unit. They agreed. Then they said that we would have to sign a paper in order for them to pick it up. The paper was a legal document (settlement) that can be pretty much described as a gag order. We tried to revise the settlement but they refused to negotiate the gag order. This was done in the name of Home Depot. I will never again use this company or Home Depot for big ticket items Again. All we wanted from Home Depot for $8000 was a new air conditioner that ran properly and was installed properly. I don't believe that we at any time have been unreasonable. Ramone Esteves told us that they will not pick up the unit nor will we get a refund unless we sign the document that they sent us barring us from speaking about the total injustice that has been done here. read more

I visited the 10825 U.S. HWY 441, Leesburg Fl 34788 location and encountered an employee whose behavior was discriminatory. I proceeded to the self-check out and without saying a word to me the employee took the scanner from me and proceeded to scan the items. I asked her if I could scan my own items, she ignored me the first time and began to instruct me on how to scan my items ( I did not ask for help because I have been to Home-depot dozens of time and I know what to do) I repeated "May I scan my items", she gave me the scanner and proceeded to stand right behind me ( the camera can pick up the proximity) I ignored her even though I saw her watching me intently through the reflection of the screen. After I rang up all my other items, she stepped in front of me and she accused me of not ringing up an item (this was one of the larger items she herself had rung up.) Meanwhile, other customers were around while she stood accusing me. I was thoroughly embarrassed, humiliated and mortified at this employee's behavior towards me. I have been shopping at Home-depot for over twenty plus years in different locations and I was never treated this way. I immediately reported it to the store manager who said he would have "a conversation." I have no information about the outcome. This behavior is unacceptable one I don't believe Home Depot stands for. Whenever I visit, I see a diverse staff from New York to Florida. I don't believe this is the company's work etiquette. It is my hope that Home depot will take the matter seriously. . No customer should ever have to experience racism or discrimination while shopping at your store! read more

Unbelievable how rude the sales person in appliances is. Made comments about how customers will just have to wait, she's the only one working. We weren't even waiting on her, we were looking at a refrigerator close to her and apparently she didn't like us that close to her and the customers she was currently helping. Don't worry, we will NOT be purchasing from you. Would be great to be able to browse without hearing rude comments from a disgruntled employee. read more

This is long take a seat. The rental truck is a nice F-250 looks clean exempt when you realize it's not 4 wheel drive and for some odd reason they have adventure tires on the front but street tires on the rear which gives the truck zero traction when hauling cargo. When we got to the payment it was $260, i had $200 cash and the rest on my debit card well they only accept debit/credit even though they already had my debit card on file they don't accept any form of cash which is ridiculous a home depot and they dont accept cash ok so what now im not from around and my bank is chase so i cant deposit anywhere around cause the nearest chase is over 60miles away. Like i said take a seat. The customer service employee said well if u can't pay we will put you in collection. Ok next transaction i returned the towing ball i got for the rental truck in order to tow a cargo the ball was 2" but the trailer was a 3inch ball so i returned it when the customer service employee asked me whats my name i said diana pronounce di ana she looked at me and said IN AMERICA IT'S PRONOUNCED DIE ANA O_O shocked level 1000. My mother named me Diana which a latin pronunciation of Di ana. I guess my mother has been wrong sense i was born. Or maybe this racist customer service employee is a sack of cow manure what do yah think. In my 32 years of living never had anyone tell me to change how my mother pronounces my name. We lived here from Mooresville, NC where our Lowe's was a real gem. This one had NOTHING on our extensive list - except paint rags. Unwilling help in lumber wouldn't cut shelves because he felt 2" was too little to cut off. SO disappointing! Off to The Home Depot. read more

The Home Depot could only partially fill my order and told me I would need to accept a partial refund and to then go back and reorder the rest of my order. On 01/07/22 I ordered tile online to be delivered to a store near me. The anticipated delivery date was 01/19/21. The online tracking kept changing from "in transit" to "delivered but not read for pickup". Every call through their automated system supported the tracking. On 02/18/2021 I finally spoke to a person at the store who told me they couldn't help me and I needed to call the .com store since I ordered online. When I called the number they gave me, I was told they all had the same computer system and the store should have helped me. After a considerable hold, they told me the store had part of my order, but they don't know what happened to the other part. They then told me I would need to be given a partial refund in order to reorder the missing part of my order. Not only could The Home Depot NOT fulfill the order I paid for, they offered no solutions for resolution beyond giving me some money back and making ME reorder the product they couldn't find. read more

Don't ever order a new kitchen from Home Depot. Order a full kitchen, cabinets, appliance and granite counter tops. Within 3 months the counter top cracked. After almost a year the new piece arrived and did not match the rest of the counter! Their installer agreed it did not match. I refused to accept the piece. Now the counter top company is refusing to replace the piece and Home Depot won't do anything! So much for customer support. Headed to Lowe's read more

While quality of customer service can vary wildly at "big box" retail stores, there is one employee at this store that is a great reason to come back. That would be Frank in plumbing! Always helpful, even when you catch him in the middle of another task (and at these stores, workers are always in the middle of something). Somebody give Frank a raise! read more

After having a terrible experience trying to purchase a gas dyer at Lowes, Home Depot was my hero. Rick Merrill went above and beyond to help me find the dryer I wanted. He did all the paper work and set it up to be delivered, installed and my old one hauled away. Because of him I will be making all of my purchases at this Home Depot. He is a true asset to his company and deserves a raise. read more
