This location did have the larger orange buckets with sticker Jack-O-Lantern faces for $8. I was able to score the last box of coveted LED Spooky candle pathway markers! My dad called yesterday to find out if a product he wanted was in stock and the employees told him that it was, so he proceeded to drive from Buffalo just to get the Samsung Smart Things Hub because he was told that it was on sale. When he arrived they told him that it was $90 instead of $25 even though it was specifically advertised as $25. The employees were extremely unhelpful. What a waste of his time. This is a horrible establishment and a terrible representation of Home Depot. read more

Installers came to my home. Didnt even come inside to do appliance install. Left $5000+ worth of appliances in driveway in ankle deep snow.

The worst! Do not use Clay Home Depot for your special projects!!! I went to this Home Depot for my kitchen. They messed up the design and tried to blame it on my contractor who did the install. One side of my kitchen had to be redesigned because the original design was incorrect and would not withstand the weight of the countertop. This mistake delayed the kitchen renovation by 2 months!!! which is an eternity when you have a 2 yr old daughter to coordinate meals for each day. Toe kicks and scribe molding are standard items that are typically included. After several months explaining to their store manager that we did not have these parts they continued to ship the wrong moldings claiming they were the correct parts that we should use. It turned out that their designer was so inexperienced they did not know the correct part numbers for scribe molding or toe kicks and my contractor eventually had to visit the store to show them in the catalog the correct part number to order. This mistake delayed the renovation by 1 more month. What should have been at maximum a 1 month project turned into a 4 month project. I could go on with the significant amateur mistakes that were made but I will summarize and say do not use the Clay Home Depot location for special projects. They do not know what they are doing and you will end up regretting the entire horrible experience and paying for it at the end. read more

Went to Rte 31 store today and they would not honor Veterans discount. Went a week ago and they did. If you go to the Bridge Street Store in Syracuse they will. Inconsistent, disrespectful and overall slovenly run store. Only go when Lowes, Ace or other local hardware store doesn't carry a needed item, and in a rush to not wait to get it on line. I will never again arrange Home Depot to do any type of install. First complaint is regarding the quote being $300 lower than the actual cost because materials weren't included in the original quote, materials that are crucial to an install. We had an install date and many arrangements were made, including moving the Christmas tree, moving all the presents, emptying out the entire room minus a chair, and even sending the dog to boarding so she wouldn't be here during the install. I picked up the materials the night before install so we wouldn't be walking around them until install day. Come the day of install, no one shows up or even calls. Despite having an install reservation, apparently materials weren't picked up early enough. Huh? If this was a stipulation, why didn't someone tell us? And why didn't someone tell us the install was cancelled? We're sitting here like dumbies expecting professional service and Home Depot is none of the sort. read more

I couldn't give a 5/5 because I'm writing 2 reviews here- First - I would give Erika from Bath/Kitchen - 5/5! She was absolutely fantastic! During Memorial Day Weekend we were shopping for all new appliances (stove, hood, dishwasher, fridge, washer, and dryer). We learned that Best Buy was having a pretty amazing deal on Samsung products- when we went to Home Depot to compare we mentioned it and she said they would price match! Not only that but she made the entire process super easy- fast forward to deliver and we noticed a dent in the freezer and a missing kick plate but these were quickly resolved by her once we called it in. The service that the bath and kitchen personnel give there is amazing and we are so thankful that they were able to help us during this Reno time! We also appreciate all those in the paint section as they are also very quick and courteous! My most recent experience is not the best; once again we were there to purchase pretty pricey items- this time lawn and garden materials (lawn mower, weed whacker, leaf blower, propane, rakes, spreader fertilizer etc etc etc). We were the first ones in the store and spent maybe 40 minutes choosing our items with no help- another customer was kind enough to explain the different mowers and options available to us! Thank goodness that random customer was there to help us. We made our way to the register to be greeted by a young lady whom was clearly not happy to be helping us- when I inquired about a shed she seemed so bothered by it. She turn and rudely asked if I "even knew the name of the shed". I informed her that I did indeed know the name and sku number which she didn't reply and just turned her back to make a phone call. We were then informed that we would need a permit (which we did not know since we are just moving into this area and don't know the ins and outs as of yet). She then sent us to the customer service desk in which they were slightly more helpful. All in all once we get this permit I probably won't return to Home Depot for this product just because I have such a bad taste in my mouth from her. I'll make my way across the street to Lowes for that one- but I'll stick with Erika in kitchen/bath for those products. You'd think that when you bring a cart full of products worth over $1300 they might be a little nicer- UPDATE 8/10/15: After several conversations with the store manager and Devante we are pleased to increase the rating we originally gave (original 3/5) Devante and the store manager both apologized and addressed the situation and worked with us. I am so glad that although we experienced a pretty sour attitude the company realizes how important each customers satisfaction is! We are very appreciative of both the store manager and Devante! My experience with customer service here is horrendous. I thought that establishments such as this were all about helping the customers get what they need, but apparently not. First off, my boyfriend and I went to rent a tiller to till our garden. When we got to the tool renting area there was no one at the desk, so we waited, figuring there was someone else being helped. We waited ten minutes before the guy actually came back and apparently he was just seeing if a tool would fit in the customer's car. The employee did not acknowledge us at all, and stood in the doorway talking to his customer for another ten minutes about non tool related things. Now, a line starts to form of about three other people besides us waiting to rent tools, and this employee is still talking to the man, not acknowledging any one of us waiting. We waited 25 more minutes for the man to finish his previous job but he got nothing done but catching up with an old friend while customers are waiting, so we left. It would have been nice to at least be acknowledged. Second, my boyfriend decided to give them another shot by buying our garden soil from here. He purchased about 12 bags of soil, and loaded them all himself. Again, not one employee offered to help him lug these ten bags onto the cart, or even out to his car for that matter. So, we will not be going back to this Home Depot, as they have not been of any help for any project we've been doing. If you have a big project you need help with, steer clear of this poorly staffed establishment. read more

I would like to warn people to avoid Home Depot and their Protection Plan. MY LG dishwasher hasn't worked for the last 4 month, keeps throwing the same code, they send people out to replace parts, and it still throws the same code. 6 times they have supposedly repaired it to no avail. The repair man finally signed a paper saying it is unrepairable but the protection plan people claim that since they have replace various parts in an attempt to fix it, it is not all the same problem so they won't warranty it! I went in to pick up what was described to me as "heat tape" for the water pipes on my friends trailer. A passing employee asked if I needed help finding anything. When I told him what I needed he didn't try to correct my verbage, he just said he knew right where it was. Rather than tell me how to find it, he walked me all the way to the other side of the store and pointed right to it. It was actually an electrical cord that wraps around a pipe to keep it warm and prevent the water inside from freezing. I was grateful because I didn't have a lot of time to search all over for the item. These guys know their stuff and will go out of their way to help you find it. read more

Went into Home Depot for help with a simple job. A month later, the hole is bigger and no one at the store wants to meet and the contractor doesn't want to come out to fix it. The store and the contractor are always too busy to meet. Customer service and communication are greatly lacking at this store. read more
