Stopped in to Home Depot Madera today to take back an item that was un opened.We went to the returns line where a man and woman ahead of us had a shopping cart with an ugly big old what looked like a canopy in it.It was super dirty like maybe five years old at least.The girl on the register did not even look at it and gave him money for it.I was shocked! She should have at least looked at it.If it were me,I would never have taken like that back! There's not many people to help you in that huge store they need to add a couple. read more

Went in after having issues with a bathtub. Associate Joey (allegedly a manager of some sort) was very disappointing and arrogant in regard to his concern for the issues I have experienced with this store. Very poor customer service and will no longer be a customer of home depot due to his lack of professionalism and customer service. Never had these issues at Lowe's. If you have issues only speak to store manager Begin if you want any type of solution. read more

I'll never shop there again!!!! I'm a new widow and am forced to sell my house. I spent $6,000.00 a huge amount of money for me, on new carpet and appliances. They refused to remove my carpet because it was "dirty" and were told we'd have to remove it ourselves. My son and I, with my broken neck tore out the whole house and took it to the dump. It was over 1,000 lbs of carpet. Then they took TWO weeks to install. I had to live on subfloor. The next installers said they'd never heard of not removing carpet unless it was flea, rat infested. Home Depot wouldn't give me a price break but said they'd upgrade my pad. They did not. Thinnest pad ever. Like a sheet over slab and wood. Then they wouldn't install the appliances or haul off the old ones. I'm an older woman. Huge sign above the appliances says FREE INSTALL and HAULAway. We talked to the CEO Mr Marman I think. This pissed the store manager off who called and yelled at me. I had to hang up on him. Waited an hour in the store for patio furniture because the cashier didn't believe we paid for all of it even with my receipt. Horrible, inept, rude, lying thieves. GO TO LOWE'S!!! read more

Wasn't the best experience being asked to leave the store and all but I deserved it. I hadn't been back for years but the prospect of a new manager changed that. Sherry took charge of a mess and turned it into an excellent well managed customer friendly HD. Not a huge inventory change , in fact a few less items. I prefer smaller venues to big box stores but this HD has that customer oriented feel I like. Before Sherry as manager it was a pitifull poorly managed mess. Now not so much. TJE MPC Inc read more

Worst Home Depot I've ever been, people standing around doing nothing with no clue to any questions asked, should be ashamed of themselves.

this is the worst home depot I've EVER been to! I was visiting my family in Madera and went with my dad to pick up some stuff. When we got to the register the cashier denied him his veteran discount!!! The cashier told him his card was "too old looking" and therefore we could not use it. Outraged, i asked for a manager. We finally gave up, after 15m of waiting, and left. read more

My cousin and I went to this Home Depot and parked in the garden shop parking lot. We were checking out the plants (which were all wilted) then she remembered she needed some yard spray. We went inside and found what she needed, walked out to the garden shop to pay, and no one was there! There were no checkers and the gates were locked . We went back inside the store and walked past the service desk (where there were 2 ladies, who watched us the whole time) and went to check out in lumber. The guy working the register looked like he was asleep and my cousin said, "Looks a-little-slow". He said, "Yeah! Kind-A-Slow". After paying we decided to exit through to doors by the service desk because it was hot outside. We started to walk out when one of the ladies (at the service desk) raced up to us and demanded the receipt. My cousin reached into the bag to get the receipt and I had to walk out because it PISSED ME OFF! Come on lady! There were no customers in your WHOLE DAM STORE and you were watching us like we were thieves. I will never go back to this store again.......How rude! I went into this Home Depot to rent a trencher for a job I was doing. When I went in the cashier Tammy was really helpful and made me laugh. She helped me pick the right one and checked me out really fast. I will go back to this store and recommend it to my friends. read more

By far the best customer service of any big box store. Employees in every department seem to have experience and knowledge of what they are selling. The manager is all about customer service. read more
