The last…read morefew times I've been here, they've been short-staffed, and coming from a retail background myself, I completely understand how tough that can be. Despite that, the manager, Miguel, is always working hard and apologizes for any delays while doing his best to help everyone in a timely manner. Today I witnessed a situation where a customer came in with a dog off leash. Miguel calmly and respectfully explained the store policy about keeping dogs on a leash for safety reasons. The customer became defensive and rude, even calling him names, but Miguel stayed professional the entire time and handled the situation with patience and respect. On top of that, he still went out of his way to help me find the dog food I needed while I was checking out. That kind of customer service and composure under pressure deserves recognition. Miguel is doing a great job, especially considering the staffing challenges. I hope corporate and other customers recognize the effort he puts in every day. People like him make the shopping experience better.

On my way out I saw a young man watering the plants so I asked him where they were, he said that he didn't know. Next day I called to complain. A guy with broken English who was there when I went, insisted that they were too busy to help me, yet I was the only customer with three employees on the job, who didn't appear to be too busy. I had spoken to Phill over the phone and he said to "come on in and that he'd take a look at it." After doing several checks on the machine he explained that it could be the coil or the carb and that I could eat up the cost of the unit just with those repairs. Made sense since this is a modest blower that originally cost about $150.00. Phill has a calm, knowledgeable, energy and I was greatful for his professionalism. Of course he pointed out the other blowers but I honestly didn't really even need the one that doesn't start (I've got 3!). Just wanted to see what might be involved in getting up and running to sell cheaply to someone needing one in my neighborhood. Phill exemplified friendly customer service and I appreciated his time and advise. After a bunch of checks, pulling the plug, testing the spark, etc. he concluded and I asked him, 'How much do I owe you?' He said, 'that there was no charge and to come on back if I did decided to get into an new blower.' What great, expected, service Phill provided for me today.
