I usually don't shop at Home Depot since I frequent Lowe's more, but since HD is closer on 1488, I have been visiting this location. The customer service is a hit or miss here. Majority of the time when I come here, I am searching high and low to find something. No employees in sight. They almost remind me of Walmart. However, I came in the other night to stock up on my cleaning supplies. HD didn't have all that Lowe's has and I started to leave, but I stayed. It was frustrating to see that all the cleaning supplies aren't in the same area. At Lowe's, all cleaning supplies is on the same bay. I couldn't find the drain cleaner or the recycling bags. I asked an employee who was standing talking with his coworkers in the paint aisle for the blue recycling bags. I wasn't sure who covered the cleaning supplies aisle. He said that they didn't have them only the brown paper bags. He told me that I have to get the drain cleaner from plumbing aisle and suggested that I get the black bottle one. I went to the plumbing aisle and saw plenty of black colored bottles of drain cleaner, so his suggestion was too ambiguous and I ended up getting the lemon scent pods at which I came in for. I usually by the brand from Target, but was already at HD. When I got to the self checkout line. Employee, Brandon gladly assisted me by ringing up my items for me and asked if I had found everything. I told him no. I told him that his coworker told me that HD doesn't carry the blue recycling bags in inventory. I told him that I would check at Lowe's at a later date (though, I needed the bags now as my recyclables were pilling up) Brandon told me that he could search for the bags at Lowe's and HD. After searching on his handheld, he mentioned that HD does indeed carry them. He showed the product to me on his device. He offered to show them to me by escorting me to the location in store. I paid for my other items and agreed. He walked me over to the aisle and bay at which Huffy Multipurpose blue bags with the red string were. They were exact bags that my townhome community carries and uses for recycling. I was very happy that he went the extra mile for me. He left his self checkout line post to walk me over there. I thanked him for his efforts. He replied, he will do anything for customer satisfaction. I love that! I used to work retail and had the same values in mind. I just wish his other coworkers that I came in contact with was the same, but they weren't. I will continue to visit this location out of proximity, but next time I'll go to Lowe's for my cleaning supplies. read more

I'm done with Home Depot. To many times I have gone to buy something and the price tag/ sign does not match the product. Yesterday, I went to buy fertilize. The display had a sign that said $29 dollars and another that said $59. I didn't see the $59 dollar sign. Got to the register, price came to $63. Went back and got the smaller bag believing it was $29. Get to the register and it was $53. There were no signs that I saw that said $53. Lady at the register went with me to the display and showed me the small bag that was $29. No sign on that stack. I believe Home Depot exercises bait and switch practice. Lowe's is a further drive but they are now my go to store. read more

Very beautiful plants. I like Home Depot, but this trip was shocking. I asked how much these plants were in photos (a clearance looking basket), and they said we don't have clearance. The man said we throw them away. I continued and said so I can have them if you throw away? I said make me a reasonable price and I will buy them.. He said he would have to charge me full price. This Home Depot is full of incompetent and unmotivated team members! DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS HOME DEPOT! I bought a John Deere zero turn mower with deficient blades, they never started. First of all getting hold of anyone at the store too help you is impossible, calling the store will result in hearing your phone ring for 30+ mins. Once you get them on the phone it isn't any better, they purposely put me on hold hoping I'd hang up then when I did it they were completely unhelpful and basically said there was nothing to be done. The phone did not work so I showed up in person and let me tell you this is the worst of it all. As soon as I walked in the customer service representative was rude, incompetent, and obviously did not want to help me. Returning the mower was no easier then buying it. My only complaint is the amount of time it takes to get help in certain departments, especially appliances. I ended up purchasing a new refrigerator at Lowe's simply because after looking at refrigerators at this Home Depot, for close to 40 minutes, I finally found someone to help me and they brushed me off because they were "helping someone else". Not sure how to give a negative review for purchasing a "defective" dishwasher online. Let this review represent the entire "customer service" phone line we have been dealing with. The dishwasher couldn't be installed because it was defective. It now sits in our dining room and every time we call the 1- 800 "customer service" number we are put in hold, or told they can't get a hold of the manufacturer. All of the main isles are completely full of pallets making it a nightmare to navigate, especially when it's busy. It is near impossible to get a human to check you out - it is now just a crowd of unorganized people trying to rush the self checkouts. I will absolutely not be the cashier when ringing up over $1,000 of merchandise each visit. read more

I needed light bulbs for various Tiffany lamps, but I had Eurotrash (EU) instructions/sizings which based on googling and a Homer Simpson level understanding of electricamity did not directly translate to nice right #merican bulbs I could get on the amazon and be sure that they were the right ones given the power thing on one side, and the screwhole fitting on the other side which gave two different problems to figure out. So I had to put on pants and come on down to the Home Depot and talk to someone in person that knew more about light bulbs than me to figure this out how to get the right kind of bulbs into my lamps without unintentionally setting anything aflame. It took some time for the "help desk" or whatever they call it to summon someone who knew anything about light bulbs to come try to help me. I explained the situation. I was pointed in a direction, purchased it, and retired home to where the Tiffany lamps and Nat Sherman cigars are, because that is a tried and true #aesthetic whilst brooding in the fashionably lit semi-dark. It turns out I was instructed correctly on light bulb acquisitions. I can't speak for their other departments, but the light bulb man will point you in the right direction to solve your Eurotrash Tiffany lamp problems if you have those too. read more

Been shopping here for years. I find it A-OK. It meets my house miscellaneous needs. They seem to carry most household needs unless I may be looking for more upscale appliances or fans. Then they are designed for the masses of population that need everyday household building or replacement needs. I have never bought their house paint so I can't comment on that. Always good to check with the competition on the product and labor price. I haven't found the clerks to be that helpful in that case. No one store is a real home run when it comes to all the various installation needs :/. The man the other day was really annoyed by me specially asking where something was in his department. Called customer service and was put on hold for about 45 minutes. They were trying to contact Electrolux, the manufacturer of this dishwasher. They told me they had to send someone out to make sure the dishwasher was defective. DUH! One week later he shows up and says, yeah, it's defective. After a month of dealing with this, we returned the dishwasher to this store and asked for a refund. Manager said it's buyer's remorse and there's nothing he can do. Well, guess what? I'm taking them to court to get my money back. Consumers beware, they will not take back appliances if they're defective and they will not refund your money. Home Depot wasted 4 weeks delivering 3 different dishwashers they installed the current one and complained that they can't get it out the old one when they were the one that installed it. This particular Home Depot is very poorly run unorganized and the managers are very rude. When I call customer service I was hung up on three different times. We are now less than a week away from Christmas and we have a broken dishwasher and not enough time to replace it with another vendor. I ordered my new washer/dryer from this home depot. We measured twice because the area in my house for the washer/dryer is next to the back door with limited space. We discussed this with the salesman, who was very nice and appreciated that I even had model numbers and store numbers when we made the purchase. We asked for it to be delivered and installed. Today, it was delivered and the dryer vent that was added to my order was 4 feet long. They twisted it and installed it, but because it is so long it requires that the dryer sit 5 to 6 inches from the wall. No one told us when we purchased that the hose would be 4 foot long. When I asked what could be done they said nothing. As I was on the phone with the home depot to see what could be done. The installer asked if we would sign the papers, I stated "no, that talking with them to see what could happen to fix the problem"...so the installers just left. The best that Home Depot can do is have someone else come out in 1 week. We have to live with the dryer blocking part of the back entry. Hopefully the person that they send can put on a flex dryer hose that is not 4 foot long. This will be my last major appliance purchase from Home Depot. read more

I needed 14 blinds for my rental house. they all needed to be custom cut. I told them I would come back the next morning To pay and pick them up. It took me over and hour to pay because they couldn't get my check to be accepted. They had to call their third party bank who processes checks to figure it out. The whole process was ridiculous. When the was final, they said they would get the blinds. It took another 20 minutes to get my order. When I got home, they had given me blinds off the shelves, not the ones that had been custom cut. Now I can't get anyone to pick up the phone. This location is awful with customer service. The last part of this story is that when I asked how long it would take for them to get the items, the employee, who I think is the service desk supervisor said, "I'm going to pull them myself, even though that's not my job." I'm a business owner who is also the general manager. That is NOT what an employee says to a customer. I do not recommend the Magnolia, Texas location. read more

just had the worst customer service experience at my regular Homedepot i shop at very frequently (6119 FM1488 Magnolia location). I came in for a single sheet of wood and I needed assistance having it cut. I saw an employee in the aisle next over and asked if he could assist me in cutting my piece of wood. He cringed and said uh, there should be other employees that can help you in the next aisle over. I said, ok, thank you. I look, there's no one around. I keep walking around and found another employee and asked her if someone could help me. She said, "There should be multiple employees in that area that can help you". I said there wasn't and there was actually only one employee that sent me away to look for help". She replied with a bad attitude, "No, there should be atleast 3 other employees working in that area". Again, I said there was not. I asked if she could call someone to that area for me please. She gets on her radio and asked. One said they were busy and then she saw another employee down the way and hollered loudly, Hey, can you help? and the employee said, " I've only been here for like 3 seconds!" with a poor attitude as well. Another employee on the radio said they were too busy and it will be a long wait before they could get to me. I then said ok, I'll just take it as is and then she says ok. As a contractor/handyman of the Magnolia/Woodlands area this location has supplied my needs for the last ten years. The staff is friendly, helpful and their location is very convenient to my service area. I'm now making the drive to Lowe's in The Woodlands. The removal of actual cashiers in favor of self-checkouts has ruined the customer service. There are no lines, just groups of people waiting impatiently while an employee yells "next" for someone to approach the next available open self-checkout. read more

This Home Depot has everything you would need for home improvement, landscaping and even the littlest of home projects. Their prices and selection are great and there are many employees walking around to ask for assistance. Their garden and landscaping area is wonderful and during the spring and summer there is an abundant selection of vegetable and herb plants and fruit trees. The only thing that I was appalled by was the condition of their ladies restroom. There were over 20 pieces of scattered paper towel waste around the main part of the restroom, the stalls were a whole other story. I hope that they were just missing an 8 hour maintenance shift employee and that was a one time experience. read more

I've used the tool center on numerous occasions and i have returned every gas powered tool full of gas as required. On this particular evening, Bob seemed a little irritated that he had to work on a piece of equipment as I heard him complain about it. Upon looking in the gas tank of the pressure washer, Bob said it is a 3 gallon tank and I was 1/2 gallon short. I advised Bob that it was full, at which poinT he began to argue with me. He advised me that I owed him $3 for the gas. I asked him how he made a determination that by how it was a 1/2 gallon short, and again, argument!!
