Beto quoted me at $50 to come out and assess the problem, which would go towards the repair costs. After initial assessment, he determined the problem may be the lid latch, so he ordered the piece. A few days later, it came in and he returned to find out if that was the problem. It came out to be that it wasn't the lid latch, but rather the motherboard, which is not fixable. We were better off getting a new machine since ours is almost 10 years old. He ended up not charging us for his time, even though my husband offered. My reason for the high rating is that he was very responsive and did not appear to just be in the business for the money. He did not even charge us for the part that was ordered. I recommend him for his ethics and customer service!

I agreed to the repair, which was very costly, and presented him with a $250 check as a deposit. This morning, the day after the service call, my oven suddenly started working. I contacted the company and told them of this event. I was told there would be no refund of my deposit, as that was his policy. I offered to compensate him for the service call, and he stated that there were no refunds. He finally agreed to refund $100. I provided him information to refund the $100, and he managed to mess up that refund. He then stated that I needed to set up a new account with the messed up name that he processed the refund under. I refused, and told him I had other accounts he could use. He still insisted that I set up the account with the incorrect information. I again stated that he could use one of my other accounts. While waiting for a response I did place a stop payment on the check. He finally responded. I sent him $150 for the service call. This was a total fiasco. It was not like I didn't text him the name and phone number for the account he messed up. I do not believe he understands English very well, and obviously does not read it very well. I do not recommend doing business with this company. Zero stars. I had to give a one star rating to be able to post this review.

When customers trust a warranty company, they expect reliable vendors and communication. Sadly, that has not been our experience with Masterfix. Hopefully Allstate takes these repeated no-shows seriously and reevaluates keeping them on their vendor list, because companies that cannot keep appointments or communicate simply cannot be trusted with customers' homes and time.
