Horribly understaffed. And the half the lights were off to conserve energy. Absolutely unacceptable!!!!!

I purchased a washer and a dryer. I schedule delivery. The first issue was I was sent a 12 hour delivery window via text from 12 AM until 11:59 PM. I received a phone call saying that the crew is at my home. I go to the door. no one is there the message stated that they would have to leave at 7:46 AM to get to another delivery. It was 7:30. I was at my door and no one was there. I called customer service and was speaking with someone and the delivery truck pulled up to my home, It was 7:44 AM. The next thing I know they drove away without even stepping foot out of the delivery truck while I was on the phone with customer service. They didn't even attempt to deliver my items. They then lied said that they couldn't deliver my washer and dryer because I did not respond. They never even attempted to stop they kept driving past my home. Such a lazy delivery driver and I immediately canceled my order with Home Depot. Never again. read more

I love the staff here. They are always helpful. I am able to find what I need quickly and easily. The reason for my one star deduction. The lack of cashiers. I went two days in a row. And both days had about 20 people in line. Took about 15-20 mins to check out. But the rest of the business is spot on. I will keep coming back. read more

They rented a dehumidifier to me that was supposed to take out 18 gallons of water a day. It only took out 2 gallons. I took it back and they charged me for the time I used it. They refused to accept the fact it didn't work, told me, the house wasn't wet enough. The reason I rented it is because the pipes burst. The house is a wet disaster, the manager showed me no mercy just a smirk. I believe he's gonna rent it to someone else. He's that kind of guy. I looked an hour later and they have it available to rent. I'm notifying cooperate, should call the detective bureau. read more

Had install work here done with the install services that they offer. I was very happy with the whole process and install once finished. Had one basic issue that they quickly fixed the next day, wasn't anything they messed up just had a issue with the lock that had to be replaced. I would use them again. read more

Visited this store August 7th , 2023 before noon. Mistakenly lost my car keys somewhere in the aisles. I notified customer service and there appeared to be little concern. I was advised to ask the cashiers. Same results. I retraced my search in all the aisles. Same results. No keys. I left my name and phone number with customer service so they could contact me if the keys were found. I contacted a local roaming security officer and asks that my car be monitored while I hired a taxi ride home to retrieve my spare keys. Several hours later I called the store and asked to speak with a manager. I spoke with a person with the last name of Perry. After explaining my situation I was told, Home Depot had no obligation to announce earlier " A customer has lost his keys, if you locate them, Please turn them in to customer service". This is not my first rodeo at this particular store...But likely my last. Just a few extra miles to another Home Depot location......Poor customer service. Employees with Salty attitudes. and on and on and on. I would rather slide down a razon blade into a bucket of turpentine. read more

Bunch of lazy "workers" holes in there. My husband and I came here to get a garbage disposal and set up installed. The sign says "get it installed" we went to ask for help and they told us they don't do that. 20 minutes later they finally send someone over and he didn't know what he was talking about! Terrible waited over 30 minutes for someone to tell me inaccurate information . I understand biting members of the community but damn get knowledgeable individuals that want to do more than collect a check and don't know their job . I hate coming to this place . This location is the best on the East side. I avoid Mayfield and Cedar which are both closer to me.

This review is based on my personal experience at the libby road maple heights location and is not meant to be a review on homedpot as a whole. They have terrible staff in the paint department. They are poorly trained and do not put any effort into providing good customer service. "From my experience ask for the manager when you need paint mixed up they will be able to preform better than the staff in the paint department." Also i would like to mention the staff work very slow and you will be waiting in line for at least 15-30 minuets before they will be able to assist you in the paint department. As for the rest of the store i have never had any problems, If you need paint you are better off driving to a different location. read more

The Home Depot in Maple Heights is not bad. However I feel like items are just hard to find unless you regularly come here. The staff are helpful sometimes. But sometimes they get annoyed when you need clarification. I expect better from businesses. However, since they carry quality products, I would recommend shopping here for your needs. All of the appliances in my house are from here and it's smooth transition from installation to hauling away the old appliances. read more

More disorganized than most Home Depots. Very busy, but staff is slow. If you know what you need and know which aisle it's located in and this is your closest HD, then by all means use it. But if you're doing some major shopping or need advise or have a significant customer service need, I would drive to another location. Also, they wouldn't accept a competitors coupon at this location. I've used the same coupon at other HD locations, it's HD's policy to accept competitors coupons. Didn't have time to waste arguing with poorly trained staff. read more

This truly is one of the slowest and dysfunctional Home Depot's I've ever been to. I try to pass on this Home Depot and drive to another location but there are times where it is more practical (and quicker) to shop at this Home Depot. Today, I was in a hurry and needed 4 bags of mulch. Upon arrival, I had to walk around the entire garden section for a flatbed cart and I couldn't find one. There were no other employees except the cashier and one employee that appeared to be with customers. One would think there MIGHT be more employees or have more employees called to the garden section if the line was 5 shopping carts long. I walked outside the garden area and finally found a flatbed cart across the parking lot. After finding a flat bed cart, I found my mulch and waited in a 10 minute line with the one cashier. Two cashiers would have been nice but I managed to checkout without any other issues. This is just ONE of several issues I have experienced at Home Depot. The returns/customer service department is as ridiculous as high school! The employees are probably from high school too. I was returning wood floor paneling for another color that became available, or so I thought. Well, there were THREE employees working at that department with TWO other employees just standing around at the front talking to the girls in returns. They actually told me to "hold on" for a moment while she talked to another employee and typed something in the computer. Apparently the other two girls couldn't help me for some other reason. When I was finally helped after a serious minute of standing and waiting, I was able to make the exchange. Overall, this Home Depot is actually one of the WORST and POORLY run home improvement stores. I have only used this store as a last minute, last resort. I am giving this Home Depot two stars because I usually find what I'm looking for but I have to do it myself usually so it takes a little longer and this store will take some time to get EVERYTHING you need starting with your flatbed cart. read more

Last Saturday we called the Maple Heights to verify that the tiles we wanted for our bathroom were in stock. My wife talked with a young man, Chris who verified the stock and provided directions to the location of the bin. He met us at the store and was very helpful. thank you Chris. Our checkout at the lumber end was flawless and the cashier called a young man to load the heavy tiles into our trunk. Great customer service. Thank you all. read more

Possibly the worst customer service that I have ever had in my life. I bought two appliances from them on 12.18.2015. We thought everything was great and then it went downhill from there. The delivery happened on 12.29. The washer was broken and leaked - no worries we thought because they took it back and said we would get a new one and we did. The dryer did not fit. We needed a flat back dryer. No one asked my husband and I any questions so we did not know that we needed one. No worrie we thought, they took it back. We went back to Home Depot on 12.30 to buy a new dryer. They had not yet processed our return and that should have been a red flag. So we got a new dryer and left. Again, the lady that sold me the dryer asked me NO questions. So, when the install team got there, they could not install my dryer because apparently it was too far from the vent. The dryer is less than 3 feet away from the vent; but the vent is on the basement window and the hose hooks up to the back of the dryer. I did. It know that it would require extra venting and some connector piece. So they were not able to install the dryer. My husband had to go to Home Depot to get the supplies and do the install himself. When we tried to call Home Depot and the delivery company we did the get very far. The man with the install company he said he would refund the duct cost. So fast forward to 12.19.2016. They never processed our return and are saying we did not return the dryer. And we never got the credit I was promised. These people are scammers and are trying to rip my husband and I. It is a big game of pass the buck. After being on the phone for 39:14, I still do not have a refund and the "manager" Linda should NOT be a manager. She used the phrase "I feel you Ms. ---". First off, get my name right. Second off, I am not sure how you feel me. Wow, I have never been so appalled. I will NEVER shop at Home Depot ever again and I will tell every person I know what happened here. BTW - called the delivery company and there were no issues. They were very nice, very helpful, and wanted to take care of the customer. They had the return and they did process it and I was also able to verify that with Maytag. So, Home Depot, you need to review your business and customer service practices. Never Again - if there was s way to not give a star, I would. Also, tried to call customer service and they cannot help. You have to process through the store. The STORE IS THE PROBLEM. How can customer service not help? And I get that mistakes happen. I really do get it. But HOW is it this difficult? Why is it my fault that a mistake happened? Why did I have to call Maytag? Why did I have to call the delivery company? Why, an hour later, is this still not resolved? Oh, and this is after both my husband I called Home Depot after this all initially happened. So, they should have noted it in our account. But, apparently, they did not. I am just in utter disbelief. read more

There are no sale people to assist you and if you luck up and fine one, it seem like your brothering them. However, the store is always stocked well, maybe because most customers can not find what they came in for and just gave up. I know I have on many occasions.
