We love PA! Girlfriend and I visit this location to get supplies to do work on our small farm. We just love the people of PA because they are just such amazing humans. NYS has nothing but thugs & criminals that treat people like shit. Pleasant experience that was reminiscent of memories when we first visited PA and pulled over to make out in the Home Depot parking lot for the sole purpose of saying, "We made out in NY, MA, NJ and now PA!" Flooring dept very unorganized. They never delivered my flooring the day they said, didn't know where it was, gave me the wrong number to call. I called the main # to Home Depot and had a chat session in which the rep told me the flooring will be delivered to installer. Installer came a week later and didn't have the flooring. Said I was given wrong info. They found it at the store! Installer came back and couldn't do the job because of weather and HD wanted to charge me $375 for that!!! Horrible service!!! Trying to call the flooring dept and no answer ! No answer at customer service desk either! Never again will I have HD do any work for me. read more

Daughter went to meet delivery serviceman outside. Asked him to push the one thousand pound plus goods 10-15 extra feet so it would be on the porch instead of the middle of the driveway. According to my daughter, he said "I'm just going to put it right here" and dumped it in the middle of our driveway. My son, daughter, and I immediately spent half an hour of manual labor moving a thousand pounds (or more) of home goods out of the driveway, as snow was less than two hours away. All this could have been avoided with 20 seconds of extra effort by the deliveryman with this hand truck. I call Home Depot and asked if they use subcontractors to deliver, or their own employees. Get told they use their own employees. I explain the situation; they ask me if I paid extra money for their "delivery service to move the supplies." I am galled - I didn't realize I needed to pay extra money to get my products put on my porch instead of dumped in my driveway. Tell them I'd rather pay slightly more to Lowes than pay slightly less for lazy and rude service. Only positive is that they delivered in a reasonable timeframe. Not enough to raise them above one star in my mind - unacceptable behavior, unacceptable response. read more

For two weeks in a row I waited all day for a delivery. Last week, after waiting 14 hours (yes, the delivery window is from 6:00 AM until 8:00 PM) I was advised that the delivery could not be made because either no one was home (I was - all day) or the item was too large to handle. I ordered a very simple shelving unit - not at all difficult to handle, but just too long to fit in my car. So, the delivery was rescheduled for today. Again, I was home all day waiting - and just received the exact same message. What a bunch of baloney! I was previously a Home Depot advocate - but I will never again shop there. Fool me once? Fooled me twice, so shame on me - but never again. The takeaways is - do NOT rely on The Home Depot delivery service. It stinks. read more

Came here the other night Thursday Feb 24 I believe around 8:30 pm of course I had to run in for two more things before closing time lol. Do not bother trying to get a "price match" at this location. You will get to register and they will tell you the computer says "not elligible for price match". They offered to take $50 off on an additional item. Serious? Just wanted the item quicker and since they constantly mail us stuff, I thought they wanted the business. Called corporate in Atlanta to find out why this item was not able to be price matched and they did not know either. Put the blame on the manufacturer claiming they must have a contract that sets pricing. Messaged the manufacturer and they have no such thing with Home Depot. I just ordered the item from Best Buy and saved the $50 bucks that way. The item will arrive in two days. My husband went shopping at Lowes today and spent $40 bucks there instead. As far as the "extra 10 percent off" that is a fantasy because they will not price match to begin with. 5/2/17 - The item arrived UPS from Best Buy and I am very happy. Not going over this again with anyone from The Home Depot. Just moving on. I read a lot of other unhappy people that had a similar issue so I am not an isolated case. Google for yourself. read more

I bought a weed whacker that was advertised for 149.99 i was charged 199.99 for it, and when i went back customer service refused to honor the deal they had advertised telling me they never put item on sale. I saw the sale on their website and in the store they had a tag ziptied to the self where the item was for 149.99 but called me a liar and store manager refused to talk to me. read more

Needed help last week with an intricate problem with a door handle. Gentleman in a wheelchair, whose name I did not get, very nicely offered to help us, realized what was needed, and directed us to a gentleman named Ed in Hardware. He knew right away how to fix our problem and we were on our way within a short amount of time. Couldn't ask for more. Great! read more

Really unfriendly service! I had to make a return and they treated me like I was some sort of criminal! I had NEVER had this kind of treatment from a store around here. Everyone I spoke with agreed I had a faulty item - everyone of them agreed the item was discontinued due to so many complaints but they were not going to do anything about it at all because it was under warranty, which meant I had to drive it 60 miles from my home to get it repaired, then drive back to pick it up, plus pay for the inspection and parts! Every person I encountered, including the manager was just dismissive and rude and each and everyone of them told me something different, which was confusing and I didn't know who to believe. I won't return, especially with a Lowes about a 1 minute drive away and a very friendly staff. read more

this location sucks! home depot outsources their customer service for items that need to be installed. when you have a question about that order or the product itself you cant get anyone on the the line and the person you placed the order with cant come to the phone. where is she? nobody can find her. they are the worst absolute worst! dont go back if you know what's good for you and folks that are competent! read more

I never thought I'd be saying this; but I actually love the Home Depot. My boyfriend and I are in the process of building a new home, and have been practically living there the past 4 months. While most experiences are pleasant, the last one wasn't exactly as fortunate. I have never written a bad review. Being a customer service employee myself, I know how customers can be, which is primarilly why I am so lenient with employees and understand the frustration that is usually involved in dealing with people. This review is simply meant as an attempt to remedy the situation because there is a certain level of professionalism that simply needs to exist to be a successful employee. We bought paint a few weeks ago, about 4 gallons (of the wrong color) too much. The color was not the same color Behr had promised. While this certaintly isn't Home Depot's fault, the way in which we were treated was appauling. When we asked if we could return it, the employee was blatantly rude. When asked why she believed the paint color was such a drastic difference, she was, again, blatantly rude. I'm sure they get customers constantly complaining of paint being the wrong color so she was attempting to emphasize the fact that we could not return it. Fine, we're stuck with the paint. We weren't frustrated with Home Depot by any means, but were rather trying to see if there was an alternative to wasting 4 gallons of paint. She was, without a doubt, the most rude employee I've ever had to deal with. After ten minutes of her "I don't know what to tell you and I don't want to deal with you" attitude, she walked away mid-conversation and I found another employee who said we could take a picture of the paint on the wall and compare it to the paint color we initially wanted to purchase and could be reimbursed if the colors didn't match. Wow, a remedy! Another employee then came over and said he could change the color to a much lighter one so my mother could use it in her basement and the paint would not be wasted. Wow, another remedy! We chose the second option and Again, while I know firsthand that customers can be difficult and, quite frankly, annoying to deal with, the way we were treated was unacceptable. Other people in Home Depot, like Sharon who helped us chose our cabinets, and Elyn who went above and beyond to show us how to install them, were extremely helpful and pleasant and we are immensly grateful for that. read more

Have had a horrific experience using this store to remodel our kitchen. We've spent thousands of dollars on flooring, cabinets counters and backsplash. The KraftMaid cabinets arrived with 30 percent having either misaligned joints or unfinished ones that make the cabinets appear to be cracked( where was the quality control at the KraftMaid cabinet manufacturer?). Then came the countertop and backsplash which we had paid for. We were told twice that the backsplash cost was covered, I even made notation in my records. Then we were presented with an amount due 60 percent higher than the initial price. When I asked who was going to pay the contractor to remove the poorly constructed cabinets and reinstall new ones, since we've paid once for new cabinet installation- the question was met with total silence from the manager and sales person. Finally we asked for a refund on what we had paid for the countertop And backsplash( which we have to wait two weeks to receive). We will go elsewhere for these. However our kitchen remains partially functional, with our out of state house guests due for a visit. It now appears our renovation which should have been complete at the end of October, may encroach into the holidays. Still unable to cook in our kitchen I recommend you steer clear of this store. read more

We visited Home Depot in Matamoras after getting poor customer service, the runaround and nickel-and-dimed to death at Lowe's down the road. What a contrast! We needed a bay window removed and gutters installed in our home. The very next day, a personable outside salesman visited, did all the measurements, gave us several price options and showed genuine concern for our needs. While we had to wait and wait and wait for information from Lowe's and couldn't even get it when we called, Home Depot sent us emails telling us the precise steps that were being taken for our projects. Then, we got a call telling us the window came in earlier than we expected and would be installed shortly on a date we actually were given, unlike the vague assurances we got from Lowe's. Home Depot is now our go-to store for building materials and projects. read more

This is perhaps the best Home Depot I've ever visited. I have been in here a lot over the past 3 months having recently moved here. I am always greeted at the door, and as I walk around am always asked by a good number of staff if I need assistance. Better than directing you, they bring you to what you need.
