Every time I go to this Home Depot I get the best service. We recently had to make a stand to hold a 11'w x 8'h stretchy fabric sign for a vendor display the next day. The person who ordered the sign fir got yo get a stand. Andy in the pvc fitting area was so helpful to figure what we needed and cut all the pipes for us. We saved a great deal doing this project ourselves and it was done so quickly. Thank Andy! Then I went to the lighting area to research smart light bulbs. I came in on Sunday afternoon looking for help with a question about lighting. I have a light fixture and I wanted to know what hardware I needed for the light because I have a late from Home Depot where I don't have the hardware. I had the light fixture pulled up on my phone with all the appropriate reference information. I walked around for a good 30 minutes looking for health and had no one there to help me. After flagging someone down I was told there was no one there that could help me with the lighting and that I could just look at the wall and try and figure it out myself. I hope i fought the right thing but it doesn't look like it. I then called again today and was rushed off the phone because the employee said she was getting ready to leave multiple times. Awful customer service. They also mess up deliveries so if you order online from this store for a delivery to your home stuff always is missing and or damaged. BUYER BEWARE! MANAGEMENT SUCKS! I ordered three appliances from them they said they would haul away old appliances but of course no room on the truck. Then they wouldn't hook up stove because I had tile, they wouldn't hook up washer because they said pipes were bad. Well I called my plumber and my pipes were fine. These people are just LAZY AND LIE and just want your money. BEWARE! I followed everything on the checklist that they give you. Be careful I just purchased a dishwasher with a brand new Home Depot charge. Plumber said had Covid next said was busy and busy again. You can only get your money back within 40 minutes of purchase. Plumber said his name was Ramsey like the god Then said only 1 plumber between California and Boston. 4 days of hell He said any number I called would go back to him. OMG aIs this for real? Citibank will put in a dispute which takes 30 to 60 days to resolve. I had to fight like hell to get to the right resin to refund my money. Make sure to check your prices as marked and what you are being charged at the register. Just in the last month, two separate instances where what it was rung up as compared to the advertised price were wrong almost costing me $75+ dollars. I have shopped here for years because it's down the street from my house and have had this problem as far back as I can remember. I've finally had enough. The most recent one was a Black Friday deal where something marked $79.99 rang up for over $100. It was on sale from $89.99. Even with tax and paying $89.99, it would not have been over $100. Maybe if it was in the wrong place I could understand but it was in a display box. Earlier in the month a microwave priced at $208 rang up as $249 and I was told I needed to go back and take pictures to prove it because that's what it is ringing up as. Which again, it was proved wrong as I provided pictures. I don't enjoy throwing away money. I will just drive to Lowe's in Salem. read more

The garden center is a joke! The check out people very nice. Most workers lazy! A young male worker stood and watched me load five bags of rocks each weighing about 30 lbs without offering help! When I asked another worker for help loading my car I was told they have parking lot attendants. Of course after looking for one for fifteen minutes no one was outside! The last three times I have visited Home Depot it's been the same story. If you find an employee they do everything not to help you!!! So tired of lazy workers! It's your typical HD. Nothing that you haven't seen at other locations. Sometimes the staff is helpful other time they are not. Most of the staff at this location is location to the area so they can understand the issues you have at the apartment your in so that's a big help. The key person is never in site so your going to need to wait a while for him/her to get paged but they come quickly. The return people do the best they can form what I observed but can definitely do a bette job making the line move faster. This location also has a rent a tool that's a big help. The 3 stars are because I have never see a staff member go beyond the call of duty. They just tell you go find X person and don't page them for you. read more

8:30 in the morning on a Tuesday half a dozen employees standing at the front of the store joking around not doing anything, two employees at the self check out with their hands in their pocket and only one manned ordinary register open. Absolutely absurd having to stand around and wait to go through self check out line when there's that many people standing around doing nothing. The only time an employee spoke to me was to ask if I wanted to sign up for a Home Depot credit card. If the customers are gonna get stuck ringing up product on their own why don't you get rid of the deadweight so we get a little more of a break on the price of the product. I live within half a mile and ordered on line to avoid entering the store. After the transaction was completed I was notified that the order was split into three parts. One part said that those items were ready for pickup in Boston. Another was ready for pickup in Metheun and the third part would be delivered in May. I have been trying to reach anyone at Home Depot for three days. Finally called my credit card for a chargeback. They are unprepared for this environment but are not helping in any way. read more

The ELECTRICAL departments is an absolute disaster. It doesn't take two months baths too straighten it up. I spent and hour there. Ask to speak to the supervisor. Was given attitude by some crabby employee that didn't me want to talk a supervisor. Finally teported the issue tonsimeone that was supposed to do something about it. I handed home back 200$ worth of supplies. I'll never get thebhour I spent sorting through the mountain of garbage. Face pretty. Never again will I shop at this store. For anything. Not even to get a key made and they are 5 min from my house. Last week I went into their store to get some items i needed because I had just moved into my home. I needed a few different items on different aisles. Saw Stephanie when I came in as it appeared she was working as the greeter that day. told her what I needed and instead of taking me to aisles to get what i needed she just pointed to where they were (Every other Home Depot the person you ask always takes you to where the items are). That was my 1st dealing with her. Then I ordered a stove, was supposed to be delivered last week. Delivery guy didn't give me a 30 min window as promised. Stove never got delivered that day because the delivery drivers who are employed by Home depot got pissed at me for no reason. I call Home depot to see when they are going to deliver stove and stephanie had no idea when it was to be delivered. So I decided to cancel the order and it turns out I have to go to the store. OK fine. Go to the store with the paperwork and I see Stephanie again. Me and her had no issues and I had a friend on the phone at the time in front of her. I return the stove. She then called my dad who paid for the stove and told my dad that she would do business with him as long as I wasn't involved. she lied to my dad and told him whatever he wanted to hear so they wouldn't lose the sale. I had to tell my dad that I had a friend on the phone and none of that took place. I had to call the store manager and to this date, I still haven't received a call back from the store manager. All I get is managers calling me and not the store manager. I will never do business with this Home depot or any Home depot again. Its a farther drive for me, but I will now shop at Lowe's. never an issue with Lowe's. Judging by the bad reviews left by other Yelp users, I'm not alone when I say this Home Depot sucks. I had to process payments in the store and despite check reader issues, the staff was infinitely patient and didn't make me feel as though I was inconveniencing them in any way. In particular, Angelica, Cindy, Beth, and Sabrina did all they could to expedite the process. Registered for a tile clinic. When I arrived nobody knew what I was talking about. It was posted on their white board at the entrance by the way. After talking to 4 workers somebody finally called the guy who is supposed to give the clinic and told him there was someone here for the clinic. The person stated he was busy with a customer. A few things that piss me off about the home Depot in Methuen....Watch your children, they employ registered sex offenders. Everyone in Methuen goes out of their way to warn others to keep your children in site no matter what. Also, 2 years ago, two men went in the store and bought a shitload of supplies, drywall, came to a lot of money. When they checked out they took the pen they used to sign foor their order. The idiot manager actually called the cops on these guys and had them arrested for stealing. I shit you not. So, people in Methuen started to boycott the store and went to the one on 28 in Salem, NH instead. Sounds so ridiculous, but, it's true. If you lived in Methuen at the time, you knew about it. It was in the paper. The management saw the result of the stuipid thing they did, they actually put out a public apology and dropped the charges. Does anyone remember when this happened?
