I purchased my window coverings from Home Depot. The salesperson, Arun, was friendly, helpful and took time to show me the different window coverings while explaining their unique features and costs. This was the second time that I purchased window coverings from Home Depot. I had new windows and needed new window coverings. I had purchased my first set of window coverings from Home Depot and was very pleased with the service, so I chose to go back to the Home Depot. I remembered how helpful the window covering salesperson was the first time, how attentive he was to the kind of window coverings I wanted, so I tried to see him again and was lucky! I am still in shock of how poor the customer service is at this location. I think its important to preface this review with a reminder that many shoppers at hardware stores are not expert handy men and women. More likely than not, we have questions about the products we are buying. I went in to buy a single tile for a project. I could not locate a single associate on the floor to direct me in the right aisle. Then I finally found someone and she told me where to go. I had a question and wanted to speak with an associate. Again, after 10 minutes of searching I found an associate who was helping another lady. After the customer was done, I asked if he could help me. He said no because another customer had an appointment with him. Fair enough. I asked if there is anyone else on the floor who could help me. I kid you not, he says "No there is nobody to help" and walks away with the other customer. LIKE WHERE DO THEY SAY THAT AT?? Then I looked around for another associate. I found a lady who was helping other customers. She saw me waiting and as soon as she was done with the other customers she turns around goes to a customer who came AFTER me. I was so upset. The staff are very rude. I decided I will give my search for an associate another shot. About 5 minutes later I find someone else and she was able to answer my questions. Albeit, she looked like she did not want anything to do with me, she answered my questions nonetheless. What should have taken me no more than 15 minutes (I was buying ONE TILE) ended up taking almost 40 minutes. I am shopping at a different Home Depot from here on out because this has got to be one of the most ridiculous shopping experiences I have had. read more

Worst customer service specifically the lady at the pro desk. I think her name is Sadat. Ridiculous and unbelievable, lacks simple customer service etiquette. I don't know who hired her however, I were the Manager, would have let her go right away. read more

The customer service person put down the phone midway between the call and wouldn't pick up the phone again. There is absolutely no other way to get in touch with HomeDepot live person unless you go in to store and wait for hours for a store manager (if he agrees to meet you at all). Poor service at this location seems to be a trend and management is no better. We had a reservation for a tool rental and we were told the morning of that the system was down and therefore we could not rent the tool. As I understand technology is not perfect, I find it very hard to believe there isn`t a contingency plan for when systems go down instead of just telling your customers they are S.O.L I asked to speak with a manager and was put on hold for over 20 minutes when I decided to call back; the person then told me that they were in a meeting which was infuriating. Why would you send me to someone knowing they were in a meeting?? I then called customer service and she assured me the manager was right beside her and would come to the phone in just a minute... another 20 minutes and still no one has answered. I called back and now no one is answering the phones at all??? Don't waste your time at this location read more

A staff blocked my way to get the stuffs from the shelves. I asked if she can moved a bit so I can grab the stuffs quickly. Although she moved away for me, she just ignored me when I said thank you. I thought she didn't hear me at the beginning, so I said it again and louder. But she continued to ignore me without saying a word or without making any eye contact with me when she went back to the shelves and resumed her works on the inventories. It was so awkward that she made a way for me but at the same time treated me as I wasn't around. I think small things like that means a lot to a customers. I probably won't go back as I feel like I am not welcomed by them and won't recommend this satire to others either. read more

Since we have moved neighbourhoods we of course had to find our nearest Home Depot, because what move doesn't require tools and replacement parts. We have already been here several times and like it much more than the old one we visited. It's slightly bigger, always seems to have what we need and the staff is super helpful! Not like some HDs where you can't even locate staff, let alone find one who actually works in the department you need. I went at a pretty "busy" time of day and they had enough registers to help people cash out as well as the self serve ones (my favourite!) Being a homeowner requires you to have a permanent spot at either Rona, Home Depot, or Lowes. Between the 2 big box home stores, my choice sadly isn't Canadian (Rona). This Home Depot has everything well organized and staffed to address all my house needs while not killing my credit card. From gardening supplies to Christmas decorations to paint to in-ground sprinkler systems, this place has it and with many choices. Unlike some other stores, this one is beyond just repair and functional house items. It has a decent amount of decorative items as well. Chandeliers, rugs, patio furniture, frames, storage wall units, and decorative garden fountains are in various departments throughout the store and they're all well priced. The paint department is super helpful as they recommend the best paint formula and helped provide better colour combination. I can only look at 20 paint chips at a time before the latte starts looking like woodland mushroom or tanned leather. Their garden centre is filled with lots of options and the plants are always in top shape. I haven't had one die on me yet. Even with my black thumb, the rose bush I planted gives me really nice bloom year after year. Also, I recently bought a rake to replace my old broken one and after looking at my yard, I realized I really needed a leaf blower! The whole return process was super easy and done in 2 minutes. There's no hassle, bother, or rolling eyes her. Just fast and courteous service. The self check out makes things easy here as well and if you do need help, the cashiers are more than happy to do so. read more

Ok Just another big giant store but, I think its smaller than the one heartland. Staff - is very helpful and Friendly. They will walk with you to find the stuff looking for. Variety - is not bad! Projects - The employees will walk you through the mini projects you tend to take on at home. Parking - they have a huge parking Greenhouse - The area seemed to be smaller than I have seen in other store Overall another Home Depot with pretty much the same stuff and design. read more

On Friday April 5th I was totally delighted with a lady named Sadaf who climbed up the rolling step-ladder to retrieve 2 basement- window coverings which were not easy to extract from the tightly packed bundle. She is a lovely lady! On Saturday April 6th your customer service was above and beyond the call. I required a third covering for an obstructed basement window. First Jen listened patiently then Abdulla, then Jason (tool rental). Ultimately helped perfectly by tool rental team including Wesley, Jason and most especially Carrol (yeah man!). They are a credit to the store. read more

Difficult to find help sometimes but when you do the staff are knowledgeable and helpful. Be prepared to use the self check-out. I have yet to see a staffed check-out line. They have fantastic hours and overall it is a decent location that's well stocked. I like. read more

On Thursday Sept 3rd, I received the WORST service ever from their cashier "Joanne' who works at the contractors front cashier. I had purchased several items and one item did not have a price on it. She rudely told me to go back and find one that had a price on it, when I explained to her none of them had a price, she rolled her eyes at me and said I will call someone. I waited as she served 3 more customers and still no one came. I then asked her to CALL AGAIN, and once again she gave me a dirty look. Finally someone did show up and she finished my sale. However this it where it gets worse. After paying, SHE SHOVED THE RECEIPT AT ME, and gave me another dirty look. She did not apologize for the delay or thank me for my patience, what a joke. Horrible gas line hookup experience on my $3000 gas range/fridge purchase. The contractor that Home Depot assigned to my order did not show up nor call on the scheduled date which was Sunday, March 2, 2014. He called the very next Monday with an attitude saying he was on his way. No apology nor explanation why he was missing in action the day before. I told him not to come as I don't feel comfortable dealing with contractors like him. Called the Home Depot store on Sunday, March 2, 2014, the acting manager just told me to call back the next day. I called the store on Monday, March 3, 2014 in the morning, the on duty manager just routed me to the installation department to reschedule for another appointment. I was just fed up and called Customer Service, filed in my complaint by opening up a file. I had to take half a day off work without pay the same Monday, March 3, 2014 as my new appointment was made between 4PM to 8PM. The technicians showed up around 7PM and finished the gas line hookup for my new range around 8:15PM. I called Custom Service again for a reasonable compensation for my half day off work without pay plus all the headache I had to go through. Their escalation agent is suppose to contact me with a resolution within the next 24 to 48 hours. If not, I will forward a formal complaint with all the purchase proof in hardcopy to Business Bureau Canada. read more
