I've got nothing but positive words to leave for Carmen. I'm new to the Morgan Hill area and I'm happy to bring my experiences to the community. I have a home project I'm working on and the things that I needed were completely out of my ability level. I guess I got lucky when I went in midday on a Tuesday and was immediately greeted by two individuals at the front door, one being Carmen. Little did I know this would be the first minute of my almost 2 hour experience with Carmen walking me through the store explaining to me different things and how I should and how I could tackle my projects. Carmen even took it a step further and assisted with cutting some trim lumber for me to precise corners. Such a sweet individual, one that I will be looking for on my future trips to Home Depot. For the amount of things that I had in my cart, the value was very good and I think she helped me tackle all three of the projects that I was in to take care of. We recently remodeled our kitchen and needed a few moldings to complete it and our local store was out. I saw online that the Morgan Hill store had them so we went over there and had the best "hardware store" experience ever! Maria and her helper took care of us at customer service like we were family. Maria was so helpful and kind, taking the extra time to find what we needed and make sure we got the best price. It took a little while, which would have been not so fun if she had not been such a neat person! She was capable and chatty and made the rest of our day so good. I went into Home Depot this morning and had a very disappointing experience with one of the customer service employees, Roxanne. From the moment I approached her, she had a bad attitude, it was obvious she didn't want to be there and made no effort to be helpful. She barely acknowledged my questions and acted like assisting customers was a burden. What made it worse was that I observed her throughout the store interacting with other customers, and unfortunately, she carried the same negative attitude with them too. This isn't just a one-off bad moment. it's a pattern, and it's unacceptable behavior for someone working in a customer service role. Home Depot used to be known for knowledgeable and friendly service, but this location has really gone downhill lately. Hiring people who clearly don't want to work with the public is a huge disservice to your customers. And it's a wonder why stores are closing... We went here, on Sunday, looking to buy a screen door repair kit. We walked up and down the screen sheet aisle but couldn't find the item. I went looking for some help only to find the "wrong, disgruntled" employee. I asked him if he could help me look for an item. He gives out a 'sign', stopped where he was going. I showed him the item from my IPhone. Right away, this guy made me feel stupid by telling me it was online and I had the option to either buy it online and have it shipped to my house or delivered to the store. I notified the store manager immediately after, sent this email to corporate after calling corporate, and completed the survey on my receipt with the same information. To Whom This May Concern, My husband and I have been going to this Home Depot since we moved to Morgan Hill almost 3 years ago. We find it convenient as this store location is around the corner from where we live. We visited this store on 9/20/2020 at 8:57am. Our receipt number is 8572 52 2076 for your reference. We went in to get a couple of things and go through self-check out as we normally do. When we were check outing, the lady monitoring the self-check out during our visit, felt as if she was hovering over my husband and I. I gave my husband a $1 bill to include in our transaction. It was left over cash I had from the Morgan Hill Farmer's Market and I don't like carrying cash. My husband included the $1 in the payment and proceeded to complete the payment with his debit card. While his debit card was in the card machine, the same lady approached us and said, "Sir, you still have a remaining balance to pay." My husband politely said, "I am completing the transaction" and pointed to the card machine. She then stepped back, still continuing to watch and said, "Oh, okay." After we have completed the transaction, my husband showed the same lady the receipt. She smiled and nodded. Leaving home depot, I didn't realize how I felt until my husband and I got in our car. My husband and I did not feel we were given great customer services and felt discriminated against. I say discriminated because the rude lady that hovered over us and who question the completion of the payment for our items was a middle aged, white lady. My husband is African American and I am Filipino. Especially during these times, this experience at your store was shocking. I am thankful, my son did not accompany us during this visit to experience this racism. I felt that as a long time customer with Home Depot, it was deeply important to me that you are aware of this incident to help ensure your employees are properly trained in customer services. More specifically, how to treat customers and understand that actions may be perceived in a multitude of ways by Home Depot customers. The sad thing about this experience at Home Depot, the lady did not apologize for her actions and is probably unaware of how she made us feel. Seems like everyone thinks this store has horrible customer service. I think it's typical HD kinda service. Yeah I myself experienced some stupid ignorant type treatment where one guy tells you to go to the Pro desk only to find no one there and then they tell you to go to the other end of the store at returns for help. It's annoying as hell but I wouldn't say it's any different than the other HD stores. I've also had employees actually say hi and if they can help me. Luckily I'm pretty proficient here since I'm here almost every day. This is a smaller store but I find it cleaner than the others and that's important when you're trying to grab a part from a bin that's been pilfered through by a million DIY guys. Since it's a smaller store don't expect to bring the wife any fresh flowers from this place. You'll have to go next door to Safeway. They still have a tool rental area but they only have 1 flatbed and 1 box truck so if it's gone you'll have to come back later. She helped me, the tree wasn't received yet. There's limited stock, everywhere! But her customer service was beyond what I was expecting. She said once the tree was received she will give me a call to hold it of me before she puts it on the floor. Next morning BOOM, I get a call. She kept her word and I'm so appreciative of that. I'm pregnant. I wanted to get THE tree before baby comes because cmon my husband won't decorate after the baby comes for me. Went in to get wood planks cut. And the old man who was in the lumber department walked to the wood molding isle. And pointed me the the self service cutter. I went in for a straight planks of wood to get cut for my bed. Wood molding has ridges and isn't a flat surface. The fact that he was holding the reference piece I brought it. My husband looked around for a sales associate, but nobody was around. He headed to the front to ask for help and they said they'd call Justin, who was supposed to be near the paint counter. They made an announcement for him over the loud speaker. We proceeded to wait for another 15 minutes for Justin to help us and nobody arrived. My husband returned to the front of the store to let them know that Justin had still not shown up, and that we'd be taking our business elsewhere. What a waste of time. Holy cow, usually returns are never an issue at Home Depot but the lady at this particular location gave me (and others) such a hard time. I had some extra items to bring back (one had a receipt and one didn't). Even my item that was accompanied by a receipt was scrutinized by the lady working the return desk. When I let her know that my second item didn't have a receipt and I am wondering if I can get store credit back. She literally raised her voice and told me that "Yes that is an option - but you WILL NOT GET FULL PRICE BACK". Talk about an ultimatum! Anyways, I got my refunds done, but she flicked my ID back at me (instead of handing it like a normal person) and gave me the store credit gift card (without a receipt saying how much is on the card). Instead she wrote the amount with a black sharpie on the back. Not sure if that's standard practice or not...but anyways...I won't be shopping at this location anymore. 2 stars because the refunds got done. But that's it! read more

I am writing this review as a longtime Home Depot customer. I have had issues log onto my HD account to due password. Repeated requests for code to change the password were not successful. I could not sign up for another account due to my email in HD exiting database. I contacted HD customer service via telephone three times requesting for assistance and I was referred to IT Department. My case was eventually escalated for faster response on 4/5/22 after repeated calls. I wrote several emails after 4/5/22 and I was told the issue with get resolved in 24-28 hours, not counting the two days earlier. I am not in delinquent with HD and I have impeccable credit history. On 4/12/22, after seven days of escalated referral, I still have not had access to my account. I am sufficiently done with HD: HD maybe closer to my location, has many more items to chose from, and the prices are a bit better than Ace or Lowes but it is not worth the hassle and the headache of dealing with HD. I removed all the items I have stored in the cart with HD for the impending purchase and taken my business elsewhere. This review is not a reflection of the thousand of HD workers but the franchise itself. I have had nothing but pleasant experience with the HD workers. read more
