I went into O'Reilly to ask a simple question regarding my battery and was extremely disappointed with the experience. The store manager, Melissa, completely ignored me while standing around with two other people who were notably not in O'Reilly uniforms, laughing and on their phones while customers were waiting for assistance. Her demeanor toward both customers and employees came across as unfriendly and unprofessional, and the way she spoke to employees felt very dismissive and disrespectful. It's concerning that this is the type of management representing the store. The only positive part of my visit was the assistance from Evan and David, who were both friendly, professional, and actually willing to help. They deserve recognition for their customer service. After reading other reviews, it appears I'm not the only person who has had concerns regarding management at this location. I will also be contacting corporate regarding my experience. read more

The lady working there really annoyed me. I specifically asked to borrow some tools to check something in my car and told her the problem. She ignored what I had asked, and she went to check the system and told me that I was wrong and that I needed to see a mechanic and wouldn't give me the tools to check and made me feel like I was an idiot for asking to check my spark plugs. My mother needed help with purchasing and equipping a headlight for her car and usually in the past, an employee would help her. This time he couldn't so she went in and asked the other employees in the store if they can do it. Justin rudely said that they couldn't do it until another worker volunteered to do it. As my mom was leaving the store, he yells at her from the door to "GET OUT!" My mom always comes here to change and purchase headlights and never have I heard of her receiving such poor service from single employee until today. read more

Highly recommend! They were so nice and helpful. My battery light came on while driving and my car actually died in their parking lot. They diagnosed that it was the alternator and charged my battery overnight so I could get it to the shop the next morning. They helped me put the battery back in and did all of this free of charge. EMERGENCY stop at the O'reilly Auto Parts. Discover that this is more of a Call Center. I pull up to O'reilly and my car completely shuts off ..( I'm obviously looking to buy a new battery since my car is parked out front with a dead battery. ) I get in line and once its my turn I am helped by a woman named Roberta D. she was At First* kind she made a trip out to my car to check under the hood to determine what battery type I needed (since there was supposedly 4 different kinds for my make and model) . She did help carry it out for me. I asked if there was any way I could get help with installing it, she responded that they generally would but they're under staffed in addition to that she also mentioned that my battery was surrounded by an encasement which required special tools. Then, I called my mother (she drove across town) who goes in the store and asked by the store manager if she needed help finding something. She tells them "no I am here because my daughter told me you couldn't help her install the battery she bought from you" the manger said 'oh' then the lady mentioned above tell him she had told her they couldn't due to short staff. All this while she is assuring a man she will assist him replace his window wipers (she does, while my mother replaces my battery) the manager walks away from my mother. She tells them 'oh she'll Yelp about this' and walks out, replaces my battery and asks me to watch her. She did this for the first time and fast. I needed my battery changed and Octavio was kind enough to do it for me. It seemed like it was going to be an easy task but it turned out to be a little more complicated than we thought once we opened the hood. My battery was full of corrosion. Open late.. that's where the compliments end. The replacement electronic sensors, switches, electronic hard parts are second rate at best. I work on the trucks at work so I'm familiar and I have since ended using my commercial account here due to a tps sensor that was bad left me stranded towing a trailer so I went to close dealer got my part, swapped it out and went on with my life. Went to return the shit part and was told no cuz it was installed. HOW THE HELL am I supposed to know an electrical part is NEW DEFECTIVE OUT OF THE BOX if I dont install it??? No more, I'll use tractor supply and amazon prime for my oil and filters going forward. Hard parts are from the dealer and napa for everything else. Windshield wiper flew off on the free way in the middle of a storm. We went to two other auto stores and couldn't seem how to accommodate my windshield wipers. They had no knowledge on how to place windshield wipers on. Came to this O'Reilly and within seconds Jimena and Adam were able to place my windshield wipers on with great customer service. Congratulations, O'Reilly...You've finally pissed me off enough to write a bad yelp review and I really hate to do that. First, a little background. I've been shopping at this location since it was a Kragen auto parts and even carried that loyalty over when the chain was bought out by O'Reilly Auto Parts, but I've recently decided I won't be shopping here anymore. I will state that I'm not here to complain about O'Reilly's prices or products. I think they are fine. I'll list my negative encounters in a short, comprehensive list. 1.) The manager is AWFUL, simply AWFUL. - The short, elderly hispanic man who "manages" the store is incredibly rude and unprofessional. He once told his employee that he needed to help the "gabacho" (me). What the guy doesn't know is that I'm fluent in Spanish so I naturally understood the context and took offense to the pejorative term.. I gave him the death stare and sent an email to corporate over it, which was returned. They never followed up though to let me know if he had been disciplined unfortunately. 2.) The employees speak Spanish amongst each other while helping out customers. They will also frequently make jokes and laugh in said language. Again, I understand the language, but it is extremely unprofessional. Just about every job I have ever been at requires employees to speak English unless a customer needs Spanish translation. 3.) There is NO customer service...Seriously, none. The straw that broke the camel's back came LAST NIGHT aka 11/10/14. I went in to buy a squeegee because there is a lot of condensation that builds up on my windows overnight. I walk in and notice that the line is quite busy, but I go ahead and proceed to find the item I came for. Long story short I stand in line for a good 7 minutes (I counted, not exaggerating) during which neither I nor ANY of the others waiting in line were acknowledged by the THREE EMPLOYEES AT THE REGISTER. I know they were "helping" other customers at the register, but how hard is it to say "be with you guys in a minute...." C'mon now people this isn't that hard!! Terrible, just terrible. You may have a catchy television jingle and be conveniently located less than a mile from my house but I am DONE with this company. Congrats O'Reilly, you've lost a customer who used to spend a decent amount of money there! Peace! read more

I've gone in here a couple times and it's a parts store. I mean if they can look it up in the computer then they can find it, however I went in there looking for a tire core remover the guy said we don't have one however I had checked online and their website had said they had 3 in stock so strike one. I tell the guy the website says you have it, so he starts looking and can't find it. Eventually I looked at the item number on the site and found it by number in the store. It's not a very big item but I expect employees to know where things in their store are. If I need a headlight or something I'll stop in because it's close to my house but I don't expect any big help or advice here read more

5 stars for this: I left my card in the store after purchasing something. Called and came back to pick it up hours later and they confirmed it was my card so they gave it to me. I gotta say THANK YOU VERY MUCH to the staff and management for doing the right thing. I really appreciate it! I never left my card anywhere before and this could have gone worse in many different ways. They were a lifesaver. Thank you so much! 4 stars overall for the store: On the other hand, (now about the store itself) I come here for parts if autozone doesn't carry it or vice versa and the prices are cheaper here if you care about saving a few dollars. (I tend to be budgety at times). Plus this is closer to home than autozone. To be honest some of the associates don't know what they're doing and those who do(props to you guys!). It's as simple as looking up stuff on their computer. Then again it's like that at most stores. It would be nice if they go the extra mile and really give you a personal service because as car owners we go to the store in need of help about our cars and our cars are our way of getting to work and other errands or necessities. I bought a 5 quart jug of oil to do an oil change at home. Paid for it, drove across the street to turn around. Saw a guy in a Silverado take out a signal pole in the middle of the road about 40 feet from me with a loud "Bang." Took out his entire wheel assembly on his drivers side and his fender. Anyways, a few hours later,I went home to drain the oil. I had my car in the air draining the oil and noticed I had dyslexia that day. I was supposed to buy 5W-20, and came home with 20w-50. Since I hadn't opened the jug, I brought it back with my wife's car to exchange it. Stood in line for a bit. Asked to exchange the jug of oil for the correct one. Guy that helped me went and found the correct one in the back of the store. Came back and asked me if I wanted the deal they were running. Buy the 5 quart jug and an oil filter, and he was going to give me back $4 and some change. The guy that rang me up in the morning didn't tell me about that deal, so I paid full price for that jug of oil. Of course I said yes. He didn't have to tell me about the deal they were running, or give me cash. But he did. So thank you. Not sure what that dude's name was. But thanks again. And as I drove away, only a few hours after that guy took out the signal pole, there was a new one being installed. Gilroy sure works fast at making sure signal lights work. read more

I was trying to order it in Monterey O'reilly - no success. :( I need ESP Formula Mobil1 (diesel car) 6 bottle (I showed the picture to cashier) and she was found something absolutely different... 2 bottle...and she was trying to sell it to me (what??!) I bought a Dickie's brand seat cover at O'reillys Calais, ME. The manager was unable to tell me if the cover would fit my truck seat, but cordially said to bring it back if it didn't. Good manager, good management. He thanked me for my military service and offered me a military discount. I was thankful and appreciative. The seat cover fortunately fit. In approximately only two weeks the seat cover had worn a substantial hole in what turned out to be insubstantial material. Very poor quality. Do not buy a Dickie's brand seat cover! I returned the $31.50 seat cover with my receipt for a refund at Ellsworth, ME O'reilly. The manager stated a refund was not possible, but reluctantly allowed me to exchange it for another. I wasn't happy with this and predicted to him the new seat cover would do the same thing because of the poor quality material. Sure enough, in approximately the same time of only two weeks this second seat cover wore a whole through the terribly weak, insubstantial, poor quality material. I reiterate do not buy a Dickie's brand seat cover. I returned this second seat cover with receipt to O'reillys Ellsworth, ME again. The manager wasn't there. I explained the situation and my dissatisfaction of the hole in the seat cover to the assistant manager. He said he couldn't offer me a refund or exchange. "It wasn't allowed". "It wasn't a manufacturer defect because it didn't come out of the box that way" and therefore could not be warranted was his explanation. I was completely baffled with this statement and baffled by an assistant manager who didn't care whether the customer was satisfied or not. I questioned him why the manager two weeks ago had allowed an exchange. He called the manager. He stated the manager said he had done the initial exchange as a courtesy but would not do it again. I was left with a seat cover that was no good and $31.50 wasted. I told the assistant manager he had lost an O'reilly customer. He didn't care. He said this happens all the time: "people buy cheap seat covers and they don't last". I said "here"? "No, at Walmart and all kinds of places" was his reply. Then added "but they don't complain". Imagine that. Again, I am completely baffled. What does all this mean? In this instance anyway, O'reillys didn't care about customer satisfaction even though a product they sold was unmistakably of very, very poor quality. Just can't believe I can be standing at the register for over 5 minutes, when I watched two employees helping two customers at the counter, one employee stocking and two other employee's walking outside loading one truck for delivery, and than visiting. I cant believe the two that went outside would walk by me without not saying anything or acknowledge someone would help me. I left without buying anything, I even took the time putting the things back and no one cared. All I can say thanks for the Auto Zone, they had someone at the register and had 3 employees helping customers at the counter . To the Manger at Oreilly Auto Parts, you need to utilize your employees better, customer do not want to wait at a register waiting over 5 minutes, that is unacceptable. I went to O'Reilly Auto Parts tonight to get my blinker bulb replaced they cost $5.79. I cant express how impressed and appreciative I am of this young man named Izaiaz. I had no idea that the ENTIRE front end of my car had to be taken apart to replace a blinker bulb. I had a minor heart attack seeing all those screws, and clips being popped off and my front end disassembled like a jigsaw puzzle. But he replaced both blinker bulbs and put her all back together in about 45 minutes. Everytime I have had to get bulbs replaced or my new battery replaced, the entire staff has been super helpful..but tonight Izaiaz went over the top with his customer service. It's a good feeling to know there are still some good hearted hard working kids out there. Simply put; a diamond in the rough..this experience....priceless! read more
