Went here again with my parents on Wednesday November 12 2025 to look for a christmas tree! Before we moved, we threw out our old christmas tree that we had, and decided on a new one for this year! Christmas Trees 2025 For years we always got our tree at Home Depot. Never even looked anywhere else. They had a Great selection and great service. Not this year. They no longer have the big tent for trees, could not get anyone to unwrap some of the trees so we could see them. They were all tied up. Finally one guy came out and cut the string on one tree and then wondered off again. There was no loading help either this year. Total lack of customer service. Very disappointed. read more

Very disappointed with this Home Depot. Went this morning to pick up mulch and there's a sign that clearly says we will load it for you if you have more than 10 bags I got 20 bags and nobody was there to assist me whatsoever went back for a second round of 20 bags and talk to the clerk in the garden center, who is assured me there was people in the mulch area. Needless to say I got over there and once again, nobody there to provide any assistance. No wonder Home Depot's concerned about their business because they certainly don't provide any customer service anymore. read more

It's 8 am...and the gates to the outdoor garden area still locked...picking up bags of rock and patio blocks....damn. Oh wait! 8:10 am, the gates are open! Then, this 60 year old woman at the check out asked if I needed assistance loading my truck! Well, that was very nice but I'll be damned if I say yes to a 60 year old woman to that request. (Sure honey, what don't you just toss those bags of rock up into my lifted truck...and do it quickly! I'm on a time schedule.) lol. Great staff!! read more

Showed up @ this home depot store yesterday. WOW no know wanted to help a person with handy cap issues. I has to ask 2 people , 1 did not want to do anything, the 2nd did load a piece of plywood to the cart. This man did do what he said. Once @ self check out, the attendant said this plywood does not have bar code on it. She had glasses on, but did not see the 2 bard codes in yellow on 1 end. I did not have my glasses on but I had to show her the bar code to check out. I asked for someone to come load this plywood on my truck. Then the nightmare begun. She the self checkout lady called a African women came to ask, do you need help loading this plywood. Small frame lady about 5'5 foot tall ask again same question. So one the 2nd time she asked, I said again a needed help loading on my truck but a little firmer. She pulled out the RACE CARD, then said I can't deal with you I will get the manger. 1st place she could not have loaded this plywood because she couldn't because it was to heaven. Moreover, I said to the self checkout lady, I need help with loading. The African lady said, the self check out didn't say that to me. ( LIE ) At this point, I said Time for a refund I will go to LOWES home improvement. These people will help a disabled person. African lady was just being RACIST to a disabled person. As I went to get a refund, I noticed a young man coming in the door, who I asked can you help me load this plywood. He said SURE will. So i didn't want to waste more of my time. The young man went to my truck, I said I'm not able to do this can you do anyway? A customer heard , and said he would give the young man a hand and made it happen. Back when I said the African lady wasn't able to do it. Yeah it took 2 strong men to do it. In this store, more then once it seamed, people just want to do the least to Get a Lunch check. What happen yesterday, will not ever happen again. I'd be happy to spend those $1000's elsewhere. Stay away from this Store. never BACK spending customer read more

I paid for a vertical blind installation from this Home Depot. This was absolutely the most frustrating experience I've dealt with in a long time. I had to reach out multiple times just to get someone to come out and do the job installation that I paid for when I was told I would've been contacted within 24-48hrs after paying for it. After my fourth attempt of contact I was finally able to have a date scheduled. The individual that came out was extremely unprofessional. He installed the blinds crooked and gave me an attitude when I pointed it out. When readjusting the blinds he caused damage to my wall. I had to contact Home Depot again only for them to send someone out to "fix" the issue. The second individual that came out was nice but he wasn't able to repair the damage properly. I contacted Home Depot for a refund and was turned down. So not only did I pay for a poor installation job I will now have to pay someone else to have my wall repaired due to something that wasn't my doing. This was some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life. read more

I ordered a TriVantage Multi-Functional 3 Burner Propane Gas Drill, and I went to the store on 3/31/2023 to pick it up. I went to the customer service desk and provided my email with the order number and my driver's license and the male employee brought out my grill which was not assembled as I had ordered as I had specified when I ordered the grill online. The employee got his supervisor who seemed to not care that there was the issue regarding the grill not being assembled. I asked her what could be done since I wasn't happy regarding this issue, and I was told it would take several days to have it assembled and I would have to come back to pick it up. I explained that I had driven to the store to pick up the drill that I had ordered online and due to a mistake that I would have to wait several more days and also I would have to drive back to the store and pick up my drill which was asinine to me and then I asked for the grill to be delivered as that would be convenient for me and I was told that it would cost $75.00 dollars. I told the female supervisor that I was not paying an additional fee due to the store's mistake and why would they not deliver my grill, and I was told again that OI had to pay the additional $ 75.00 dollars to which I then replied I would not and then I canceled the order! I am one unhappy customer, and I will not shop at this Home Depot store in the future and I would not recommend this store to any other customers! I will be contacting the corporate office since this store and management didn't provide the customer service to me and didn't attempt to resolve the issues that I had a as customer! read more

I am lucky to have several Home Depots and Lowes close to home. Thats make comparing prices as well as hitting whichever is closest at the time when I need something. Both stores are mostly the same. Each has a few brands that they sell that are exclusive. But otherwise they are comparable. I did notice that there seems to be less staff in Home Depot. I had to scout around for assistance more than I usually do at Lowe's. But the staff I did talk to were friendly and helpful. So shop around! read more

This is not the first time I have an issue with #home depot online order delivery. I paid regular price for a brand new item that was all scratched, damage, bent, etc. Called customer service. Very disappointed. Ordered a washer and dryer from the Myrtle Beach store. I allowed the salesperson to add all the accessories he said were neccessary to hook up the appliances. The delivery teamed failed to bring a dryer cord longer enough to reach the dedicated outlet. The delivery guy was shocked when I refused to accept the appliances. They are of no value to me if I can not use them. I do not know who was at fault for only bringing short cords, nor do I care. I cancelled the order and purchased another set from Lowe's within the hour. Unfortunately, I will be spending part of today in a laudramat because I have now been without a washer for over a week and it will be another five days until I can be home again to meet the new delivery people. I am not happy with Home Depot, at all. read more

Watch out for the tumbleweeds because this place is a ghost town. Now, I don't need to be greeted when I walk in or bid adieu on my way out, but I would appreciate seeing an employee up front, somewhere...it's just eerily quiet here. I normally enjoy shopping at Home Depots, but this is my absolute least favorite location in the area. I've visited this store (on more than one occasion) got what I needed and used the self-check-out on the way out without ever having seen the first employee. I can't remember the last time I saw an actual cashier, here. Normally, one has a choice at a store. Would you like to use a self-checkout lane or a real person? Not here, nothing but self-checkout. That is, unless there happens to be someone in customer service waaaay at the other end of the store. You'll know if someone is there, too...just look for the line! Look, if you're going to "make me" do all the work, how about incentivising me by way of a discount, a coupon, 'anything' that let's me know you appreciate my effort?! You're clearly saving the hourly wage that once went to an employee who worked the traditional checkout lane. Why is it now incumbent on me as a customer to pick up the slack? I mean, I'm the one who's gotta go and get another chunk of plywood with a proper bar code on it because nobody is there to punch it in manually or (heaven forbid) render a little customer service and make the call back to lumber and check on it for me. I love this store. The selection of home improvement items are fantastic. This store carries lumber, concrete, roofing, siding, power tools, hardware, plumbing, kitchens and bathrooms (soup to nuts), flooring and carpeting, paint, storage items, lighting, barbecue as well as ride on mowers and a nursery. There is so much more, you've probably been to one of these stores and have a general idea of what they carry. I find that the prices are fair and the staff is very helpful. I have had returns on occasion and had no trouble. The staff is more than happy to assist me to my car with large or heavy items. Parking is convenient and I am very satisfied shopping here. read more

I ordered a Husky 4 Wheeled Tool Chest last Thursday and I advised the sales person that I wanted a new chest IN A BOX delivered to my home. The tool chest on the floor had a couple of significant dents in it. I very specifically stated to her that I didn't want the floor sample. Today In the early morning I received an email from Home Depot stating that the delivery service did not have my phone number and would be unable to notify me 30 minutes before arriving. The window I was given was between 6am and 8 pm. That is 14 hours. I tried calling the phone numbers listed in the email but none of them would connect me with the delivery dispatch line. I called the store and spoke with the sales person who sold me the chest and she was unable to reach the outside delivery service. This left me in a position that I couldn't shower for the day in case the truck arrived during that time. Finally, I texted the home office and received a reply stating that the delivery service had my number and that the email was a mistake. So I took my shower and right after that I received a call from the delivery service stating that the truck would be at my home in 15 minutes. When they arrived and opened the truck lift gate they rolled out the floor model with the big dents in the side. I told them to pack it up and take it back. Home Depot wasted my morning and a store manager offered me 10% off that model to get me to accept it. This amounted to $75....not enough in my opinion to accept damage goods. I have always had great experiences with Home Depot in the past with the store in Silver Spring, MD. I have ordered in the past a Generac Whole House Generator, refrigerators, and dishwashers and I assumed I would have the same excellent customer experience in Myrtle Beach. I will update this review after this delivery transaction is completed. It can only get better The following Monday the outside delivery company arrived at my home with a boxed tool chest set. Unbeknownst to me, the bottom of the main unit had been punctured in the back of the unit and I only noticed it after the delivery truck had left and I had unboxed the unit. I decided to keep it as I had invested too much time and I didn't want to waste any more of my time. So I am the only one who knows it is dented since it is up against the wall. It just amazes me that warehouse employees can be so careless when it comes to expensive merchandise. read more

It's just a Home Depot like all the others - not much to say. It's a little nicer than some of the other nearby options and generally clean for a hardware store. The staff is helpful and they'll price match. They get really crowded on weekends (of course) and the self checkout lanes can back up. Ordered LG appliances- refrigerator, over the stove microwave, and gas range. Paid for and delivery set. Delivery day arrived, immediately upon their arrival the excuses started. 1. We aren't going to make that turn in stairs. 2. Three "F" bombs. Glad my daughter wasn't home to hear this. 3. Only way to get refrigerator in house is if you sign a waiver. Now they were paid $90.00 to take old stove and refrigerator under the house ( raised beach house) 1-800 number was even worse ( delivery company) They sent me to LG and the lady there I couldn't understand what she was saying (heavy Indian accent) she hung up on me. Called 800 # again, Mary suggested that they would redeliver and bring microwave and gas range in house, but the refrigerator would stay at bottom of stairs and I would have to hire someone else to get it in the house and install. Home Depot seems to be siding with delivery drivers !!!! I am throughly disgusted with Home Depot and the delivery company. Our sales person wasn't much help either, and she was told where we live and we had a raised beach house, seemed no problem six days ago when the payment was made in full. Calling Corporate tomorrow, see where that gets me. Now off to order appliances from a company that hires delivery people that want to work instead of giving excuses. No attempt was ever made to get refrigerator in house. read more

You know everyone goes to either Lowe's or Home Depot, at one point or another! But I had an experience in Hone Depot worth crowing about! We were looking at flooring! No less than three people came up to us to see if we needed assistance, or had any questions!! We said no, but a few minutes later we did!!! An associate named Brett answered all our questions! Then he summoned Lynn who was in that department! Both were super!! No!!! Really super! While we were ordering the flooring with Lynn, Brett went to the front to get a cart! He loaded the cart, and accompanied us to our SUV! Then, another guy named Ken came over, and the two of them carefully loaded our vehicle with the flooring! Super super super service!!! I made the mistake of getting appliances at The Home Depot online. Bought July 8, waited all day for delivery today August 12. At 4pm when apparently the drivers are no longer available to talk to (but they work until 7pm) and my delivery window extended until 6pm they sent a message that my delivery was attempted and failed. Next available delivery date is August 23. I have been home all day, did not receive any phone calls, and only had updates through their tracker page. Needless to say I 100% do not recommend buying anything from this company. read more

Can I give 0 stars?! I would recommend to NEVER use The Home Depot for delivery/install services. Earlier this year we were without a refrigerator for 4 weeks! Because of delivering a damaged item 2 times! It took them 3 times to get it right. Today, they couldn't install an over the range microwave because of 1 stripped screw that we removed in minutes. We were told to use our over the range microwave as a counter top (haha) until they could "squeeze us in" for a new delivery time where we have to schedule time off and be home again for them. So, no microwave until they can come back out. NEVER WILL WE USE THEM AGAIN. I highly recommend going to Lowe's or to a local owned business. NEVER AGAIN! read more

i ordered and received a toilet after 9 days waiting. i paid $190.00 for the install to be done by ars on 8/23. no sign of them. i called their place of business. i have no idea what the "heck" is going on and apparently neither do they. home depot screwed this one up. ars will be out 8/24 so they tell me. hd had messed up the delivery date and therefore the install date was put on "hold." the toilet sits in my living room. hd never contacted me at all to let me know what happened. had i not dug into this issue this morning, hd would have had my money on my hd credit card and i guess i could have decorated the toilet for christmas in my living room. disgusted? you bet! read more

After Hurricane Matthew Home Depot quoted us $75 to have someone tarp the roof a tree fell on. When I went in to schedule a time, they changed the price on me to $250 and blamed the contractors that work for them for the price gouging! She goes beyond anyone at a big box store to assist her customers. I just can't express how much we value her advice, recommendations, and outstanding customer service & follow up. In my opinion, she should be promoted to have her own store as general manager. Finally I treated like a valued customer at a big box store! If I was opening a business or had a good business here, I would recruit Mandy to have a great business. I will return to Home Depot because of the excellent customer service and follow through that I received recently in the Paint Department from Mandy! I called Home Depot Myrtle Beach SC and arranged for gutter installation estimation. I got a bunch of return emails setting the appointment for a week later, Tuesday at 11:30 AM. No problem. At 11:00 AM I was waiting but nobody ever showed up. at 12:30 I quit. Later I checked my cell phone and there was a message left by a Flannery from Home Depot who called at 10AM or so and he said he wanted to check something before he headed over to my house. In a subsequent text from Flannery he told me he called me twice (he only called one time) and the office called twice. They never called at all. Not sure if Flannery and Home Depot are just flakes and liars, or if they need so much hand holding that after confirming an appointment for home estimation they need followup assurances via telephone. Well I won't hold their hands or attempt to figure out if they are flakes and/or liars or what their problem is, but if you do work with them hope this gives you and idea how to handle them. read more

We went to buy lumber today and had pretty bad customer service. The cashier wasn't very friendly, and then we had to wait about 45 minutes for someone to get a fork lift to get what we needed down. Then the cashier at the loading area argued that we didn't buy the wood even though we showed her the receipt. Finally they brought down what we needed but didn't bother helping us load or apologizing for the wait. Other observations: my husband is a veteran but they wouldn't give a veteran's discount even though his license says he is a veteran. Every time I've gone here before I've had to chase down employees for help. Once I approached one to ask a question and he looked right at me and scooted into the employee break room before I could ask my question. He could have at least got someone else for me! read more

I went into Home Depot as a beginner in interior painting & I had a hard time choosing the right color. The lady that helped me choose and mix the paint was awesome! Very personable. I ordered a Andersen patio slider door from Home Depot in Myrtle Beach on March 1st, 2018. I was told by Henry (in millwork who prepared the quote) that someone would take a field dimension, as they would do the installation, same would usually take 72 hours but may take longer if the installation contractor was busy. I spent days trying to find the subcontractor contact at Home Depot.Finally Brandon( from subcontractor) shows up after many many promised appointments that were not kept. I removed portions of inside top and side molding revealing the rough opening. Brandon measured inside and outside and also took pictures. Information was forwarded to Home Depot but were lost in their computer system. Days later when info was finally retrieved, it turned out Brandon supplied a dimension that was 1 inch less than the rough opening, making a standard size door a custom one. It took 18 days for a field dimension. It is now 25-26 days since the original order just to order the door. I can only imagine the delays and hassle there would be to have this subcontractor install the door. I think not. I have ordered a door from some else. The original quote was the only thing that went right. Everyone else at Home Depot , including phone personnel,subcontractor contacts, sales staff and of course the subcontractor left a lot to be desired. Phil C. read more
