We love Home Depot! We're in TN visiting my daughter and helping do some spring planting. We needed some compost and mulch and they have that and tons more. Staff was most helpful and we found what we wanted quickly. Besides mulch we also bought a hose timer, an adorable bird house and some seeds. I'm a veteran so I get 10% off. You have to register for this but it's easy and they can help you at the cash register if you need help. And HD's are dog friendly. Dogs love it here! read more

This Home Depot is tucked away just off of Gallatin overlooking Briley Parkway and is your standard Home Depot location for the most part. I go to the nearby TruFit gym, so on occasion when I need something or don't, I swing in this Home Depot. This store is always clean and organized, and is in good shape. I have picked up everything from nuts/bolts, to tools, wood, paint and light fixtures here. The service here was decent. Was passed a few times on the floor without being acknowledged, but when I sought someone out they were good to help. Completed self-check and the Associate there wished us well as we left. Overall, while this Home Depot is standard and nothing special, it is a solid spot to swing through when the need or itch arises. read more

Absolutely do not try to rent a Penske from here. The dude at the counter told me there were no trucks there and that they "only do drop off at this location." When I called the actual Penske dispatcher they sent me straight to this location to get my truck. The truck had pretty noticeable external damage which I photographed. When I dropped off, they tried to deny me my security deposit. I insisted on bringing over the manager, she observed the truck and eventually gave me my deposit. Then someone from Penske emails me and says they have a lock box of mine at the Home Depot that was left in the truck but I don't own a lock box..? Definitely some funny business going on here. As a delivery driver, a store manager's refusal of a delivery is a big deal. Due to their poor management of time and staff, the night manager was short staffed for a delivery scheduled by him. I will now have to sit and wait for 24 hours until their next time window is open. Hopefully, the manager will schedule workers to unload my load of sheetrock. That's 24 hours that I will have to wait in their parking lot, unpaid. Unprofessional, disrespectful, unorganized management and workers. read more

Even when someone didn't know where an item was or which item to recommend for the job, they found another employee who could help. The products from Heme Depot are good, but the outsourced delivery service the used to deliver major appliances like a washer, dryer, or refrigerator is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. You have your appointment set once you order, but the company/companies they choose for delivery want to change things that's convenient for them. I had my appointment created with my order on May 17, 2023 for a delivery date of Tuesday, May 23, 2023. They guy calls me the DAY BEFORE telling Mr has to move me to Friday, May, 26, 2023 which doesn't work. This is my 3rd delivery with same issues! read more

Really like this Home Depot. Kind of a throw back to Home Depot's of 20 years ago. You can actually find people working there who know their stuff and can provide advice and direction. Rented a chain saw from them. The guy was informative and they give you everything you need. Fully gassed, oil, chain wrench. On top of that he had a great sense of humor. On another visit, we stumped the guy with our problem He called in backup and waited with us until the other person arrived and helped us explain what we were trying to do- rather than needing to repeat ourselves. Tried to purchase a circular saw and blades. I had many things in my cart and needed one more blade-which was locked up. Had to hunt down someone to get the blades unlocked-that person didn't have the key so she had to contact another person. Waited a while and the key person finally showed up. He didn't say a word, just began to unlock the blades. Again it took a while but he got it unlocked, then he took even longer trying to lock it back. Still not saying a word. He gave up finally and then stood up with our blade and walked away-no communication at all. I followed him and he went to the self checkout area where he handed the blade to another man who also said nothing. I finally asked "what are you doing"? They finally acknowledged my existence -both looked at me like I was nuts so I just left the cart and walked out. I understand these might be measures put in place to avoid theft but someone should have explained that rather than ignoring me. If I had to go through all that to help someone, I'd probably get irritated, but I certainly would not let that affect my interactions with the customer. I would be falling over myself trying to explain the odd things I had to do and hope I didn't inconvenience them too much. I will NOT go back to that store-probably to any Home Depot in the future. read more

They expected me to Load up 96 2x4x8 by myself by hand. The customer service lady didn't know anything she was doing, so I had to go get the labels for everything I needed just so I can purchase the material. I try my best to shop/patronize local. I do. But, sometimes the chains can't be avoided. In the [redacted] years I have lived out east, I have yet to find a hardware store that has everything I need on the trip I'm on. Either the hours don't match my schedule, the inventory isn't what I need, the price is too high, or the store is my third hardware store stop of the day and I'm sort of over it. That was a lot of backstory but it goes to what I have to say. This Home Depot, despite being large and a *Home Depot*, doesn't have everything I need. I know. It's mind-boggling to walk in the giant doors and leave empty-handed. Plus, the staff really varies. I've experienced very helpful informative staff to those who, literally, ran away from me rather than help me. Yeah. So, I haven't been a big fan in the past. Lately, though, this Home Depot has been coming through. Filters, HVAC stuff and yard care (I know!) have all been fruitless searches for me but paint, primer and hard-to-find light bulbs have all been big wins. Plus, on my most recent visits, the staff couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. I know. I don't get it either. I've resigned myself to knowing that I'll, likely, never be able to get everything I need from my home from the same store on the same trip as long as I live out east. And I realize this is a First World Problem. But, after a slow and frustrating start, this Home Depot is turning my frown upside down. Placed an online order this morning & received a text within 30 minutes it was ready for pick up. I went to pick it up a few hours later & sat at curbside for 30 minutes before flagging an associate down to find out what was going on. He let me know they were working on bringing it out. I ordered several bags of soil, so I figured it would take a bit to bring it out. Another 30 mins passes & my husband calls the store for me. An associate named, Queen, came to my car & tells me they are unable to locate the two bags of pebbles I ordered & she can't find a garden center associate. In the meantime, they bring out my soil & a bottle of water. They finally they bring out the rest of my order. All the associates were very friendly, however, I was not planning on spending close to an hour & a half in their parking lot. The manager graciously refunded my order for my wait, so I appreciate that. Hopefully they can get their pick up system issues resolved. As someone in the customer service industry, I can understand hiccups, so I wanted to at least give the wonderful associates a shout out for their friendliness! read more

Slow, inexperienced, untrained staff. Went for an in-store pickup and only one person was working that counter even though there were tons of other employees milling about. Finally flagged one down to help the growing line and she got my item but couldn't figure out how to check me out, even though I had already paid. Had to wait for a manager who was just standing there to finally come over and help. He took way too long to figure things out, then started walking away to go get my item. I told him it was right there, which the 2nd employee could have told him. It was such a disorgnized mess. He finally printed out a paper for me to sign and I scribbled my name so I could get out of there and that's when he started copping attitude with me since I didn't sign it all delicate like. This is a very average Home Depot. They've got tools, hardware, etc. No complaints. I ordered 17 cordless blinds from here and the experience was just about as bad as can be. They weren't ready when they were supposed to be (costing me more money because of the installers). They weren't correct size. There were 2 special order blinds and they accidentally ordered only 1 which resulted in further delays. My two special order blinds finally arrived and they weren't cordless and one of them already broke. You gotta be kidding. Regina was supposed to call me to rectify the situation but of course she didn't. Got a call from one of the store associates who screwed up my order from the get go. If you need a hammer, sure this place is fine. Had placed an order online for delivery and tried to do Curbside Pick Up. I waited 20-25 minutes after checking in and no one came. Two other customers came and went while I waited. I went in to customer service and they hadn't even looked at my order to bring it out. Since I couldn't get the order to my car, they said someone would help. Another 20-25 minutes later, I had to go find people to help. The HD employees that finally did help were very nice and extremely helpful. I'm mostly reviewing for the garden center and nursery, which is a dream! Plants for indoors and out, in all different sizes, shapes, and colors, at reasonable prices. Although I mostly try to get my plants at Gardens of Babylon next to the farmers' market, Home Depot is a close second. During my first trip here, I ended up with a big hanging fern and bunch of succulents, cacti, and exotic angel plants, for around $25. I was impressed by their variety and quality of vegetable and herb seedlings as well, and I'm considering going back soon to pick up some things for my garden. As far as the rest of the store goes, my partner and I had to purchase a few items to make our 1950s home a bit more tech-friendly, and the man who helped us (Rob, I think?) was very knowledgeable. read more

Although I try to skip home depot for my gardening needs (I prefer to buy happy plants) Home Depot is useful for other things such as gallon jugs of Simple Green, bags of Diatomaceous Earth, the occasional Rubbermaid plastic tote to store your clothes in attempt to hide them from bed bugs and other random odds and ends such as 'close nipples' (I'm serious). Most everyone who has helped me in this store has been friendly and I don't really have any other complaints, the place is too damn vast for it to feel busy even when it is busy and there's a billion parking spaces. Manager also would not ask customers to put masks on and gave some excuse about CDC guidelines (when in reality you can refuse people entry if you provide them alternate shopping experiences i.e. online or on the phone). I don't usually write reviews for chains, but occasionally a location does enough to deserve some extra attention. This review is for the location at Briley Pkwy and Gallating road. At you average Home Depot you need a professional tracker and some sort of net or trapping system to get a staff member's attention. I have always found the staff here to be much more approachable and actually easy to find (more like house cats than leopards if we are continuing the comparison). When I built a loft bed for my son I got almost all the wood cut here for no cost and it was all cut almost exactly the way I wanted it. The wood that I got cut at another branch was cut like snowflakes, each piece was its own unique and special measurement. Great for snowmen not so good for woodworking. Anyway, as far as giant box retailers go this one is pretty good. Now to find something to do with all this netting. read more

I tightened up everything, and it still did not work. I got into the car, drove over to Home Depot and went into plumbing. There, a very nice young man tried to help me but could not. So he suggested we go to garden and speak to Dave.. in the young man's words, "Dave is the most asked for employee here." When Dave saw me, and heard my dilemma, again, he found the answer. In about 30 seconds. He solved my problem, he gifted me with the item, and off I went --- back home to deal with my problem. Extremely disappointed at the customer service at this store and HD Corporate. I spent 2500 on special order cabinets only to have them destroy one the day before I picked them up. They offered to reorder, but didn't offer expedited shipping or anything. After all that, they reordered the wrong style AND color cabinet. The whole mess delayed my construction a month and cost me thousands in lost revenue. DO NOT expect them to care about you as a customer and make things right when they go wrong. They offered me a flimsy 20% of the individual cabinet... I told the corporate HD rep I was unimpressed and he responded "Well you can be unimpressed all you want, but that's policy." I wish I had spent my 2500 and all my other purchases somewhere else. HD turned me into a Lowes customer for life. read more

It is now August 16 and I've been on the phone all day and no one will help. I've now been on hold for store manager Evan Felker for 20 minutes. NEVER BUY APPLIANCES FROM HOME DEPOT. Worst home Depot in tn. They're always out of stock even when it says they have it on the app I've been in there 10 times straight in the past week and they didn't have what I wanted. And don't ask for help after 4 p.m. in the afternoon nobody knows what's going on and doesn't really want to help you. My home depot, when renovating last summer I must have gone here twice a day for two months. On the whole super friendly and nice and fast if you go on a weekday morning. Worst Home Depot I've been too. Brought a $250 mower there and it lasted maybe 3 mows before it gave out. Took it back to the store and they said the only thing they could do is send it to the manufacturer. At best it would take a month (in the middle of mowing season). Worst customer service experience on January 18th at 4:30pm by their Assistant Manager, Malinda. She was rude, unapologetic, and frankly arrogant in dealing with my order on the phone, she didn't bother to read my account notes to orient herself to my order and instead made my recount my story for the 4th time after having called several times to fix a simple delivery. Her customer service was a disgrace, void of decency and cutting me off mid-sentences. She lacked basic tact and was overtly lazy in her dealings with me, this should absolutely be addressed by upper management if they care to keep their customer base. read more

Update from 6/19/17 post: After posting about my complaint with Home Depot's faulty installation of my French Doors, I received a prompt response from their customer service department. They indicated "guidelines of our job practices for customer care indicate that we cannot interfere with insurance claims and the insurance company's business practices." Home Depot outsources to Sedgwick Claims Management Firm. Sedgwick says "please be advised that Sedgwick is not denying your claim. RF Installations is denying your claim." So just to clarify the situation, I brought doors from Home Depot. Home Depot outsources installations to RF Installations. RF Installations screwed up the installation which caused damage to my hardwood floors. When I called Home Depot to complain, Home Depot sent me to Sedgwick, and Sedgwick called the original installers (RF Installations) subcontracted by Home Depot, who screwed up the installation, to come inspect their bad work. They came out, looked at the door, and said it wasn't their fault. The moral of the story is DO NOT DEAL WITH HOME DEPOT IF YOU EXPECT THEM TO STAND BY THEIR PRODUCT, AND IF YOU SEE RF INSTALLATIONS AT YOUR DOOR, LOCK YOUR DOOR AND DON'T LET THEM IN. read more
