This Home Depot is located on Powell Avenue in Berry Hill and is your standard Home Depot location for the most part. We popped in to scope their Christmas décor and exterior patio lighting. Both honestly were a bit of a let down. While I get the seasonal décor being limited because it's not there to stay, the limited options for exterior patio and yard lighting was a bummer. It was essentially an endcap. The store was clean, organized and in good shape. Service was non-existent, but we did not seek anyone out either. From entry to exit, we were not engaged at all. Passed several Associates on the floor and while we did self-checkout, the Associate running this area was on their phone during our checkout. Not a big issue, just surprising. Overall, this location is your standard Home Depot location and when in the area, if the need arises, I would have no issue swinging back through. read more

I contracted to have 4 closets organized in April. Sales rep came out and sold me closet organization for $14,000. Sales rep told me that the installer was GREAT! He had been installing for her for many years and did flawless work. I did not get that installer apparently because he destroyed my sheet rock and did not install the closets as was laid out by the rep. I sent a bunch of photos to the office and they sent out the installers boss. The finish on a lot of closet pieces were missing the factory paint. Appears like I got second hand materials or things not used on prior installations. Looks like it was in the installers truck for a while. Installers boss came out on 6/21 and confirmed that the closets were not installed correctly. He seemed shocked. He said replacement parts would be in 2-3 weeks and they would come out (he and installer) and make it right. I have left many messages with no action. The guy at the office told me that it takes 4-6 weeks to get materials in and that the installers boss didn't know what he was talking about. It seems like everyone is pointing fingers at someone else. I just want my closets fixed so I can use them. I do not recommend using Home Depot and their installers in Tennessee. Do your homework. I wish I would have. Now I'm stuck with this and no one from Home Depot is assisting me. I am attaching a few photos of the problems. read more

My license plate was stolen so I had to get a new one and needed screws to put the new one on. I didn't have the tool to do that so I asked an employee named Nathan if he could possibly help me out and he was quick and happy to help me out. He came out to my car and quickly screwed on the license plate for me. He was so friendly and happy to help out a customer. To be quite frank, I usually don't have the best experiences at hardware stores. However, this Home Depot is an exception. There have been situations at other branches of Home Depot or other similar stores where I have been cat-called or otherwise made to feel frightened frequenting the store. Not so with this location. In fact, the employees here are beyond helpful, considerate, and willing to lend a hand with any projects you want to attempt. For example, I wanted to create some extended space for hangers with a clip of chain and a carabiner. A member of staff carefully listened to what I needed, helped me clip a reasonable amount of chain, and recommended suitable carabiners. They didn't laugh at my unconventional DIY home project and even got me the exact supplies. This has happened time and time again, from needing leather gardening gloves to thinking about renting power tools, this Home Depot has a healthy culture of helping out the average DIY-savvy person. I really enjoy their home-gardening section. Oftentimes in Nashville, you will see gorgeous but overpriced planters at local, boutique locations. At Home Depot, you won't break your budget, and you will still have a variety of fabulous indoor/outdoor planters to choose from. Great staff, diversity of wares, and an eye on price for the frugalista makes this Home Depot a fabulous choice indeed. read more

I've been calling for two hours, no answers from anywhere just AI then no one answers after you are transferred. Even called the main service line from Home Depot. No help. Told me to call the pro desk when they finally answered put me on hold 10 min then hung up on me. I looked all this up several times online but the info not available online or their website. Staff wearing masks-Yes, clean walkways-yes, it was just hard to find someone to help you throughout the store. I was actually looking for bricks-which they had throughout the garden center holding up different flowers however, i could not find any of those for sale. Once selecting another type of brick, I had trouble checking out because the only thing open was self checkout and the items i purchased did not have barcodes on them nor could they be located in the computer. When someone did come to assist me, after looking for another few minutes through the items on the screen, they came to the same conclusion as me, the items I wanted to purchase were not in the computer. Then, they called someone from that department (like I tried to) an after about another 5 minute wait with no one coming, they selected any type of brick or rock for me to check out. I am sure I will go back because I will need something and the convenience of dropping in is easy, I just hope they dedicate a little more time to the "actual" customer and not the virtual world because real life people need help as well. read more

Was stopped while exiting and was requested to present my receipt. Even though I didn't have too, I did so. The employee went through my items and said the socket set wasn't on the receipt which it was and asked me if I wanted to go back and purchase it. I took the receipt and showed him that I had indeed paid for the socket set and didn't appreciate being called a thief. I hate coming to the store. It's never not a nightmare. I guess they just count on people being so desperate that they have no choice but to come here. There's a really good Walker lumber and Ace Hardware nearby so if you have any choice, just go somewhere else. They just seem to be chaotic and stupid and give zero shits. Incompetent. Overwhelmed. I wish they had more variety in the garden center, but we do live in Tennessee and it seems the only place you can find good variety would be local landscaping/garden centers. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! I purchased 4 large totes and a toilet seat at self checkout and paid with my debit card. As my mother and I were leaving we were stopped by a security guard named Brian that yelled from across the room and jumped in front of my buggy and held it with his body so I couldn't move. He proceeded to say very aggressively "where's your receipt ?". Before we got to the door people were walking out and no one asked them for a receipt.I pulled my receipt out and held it in my hand but he demanded aggressively to hold it. He continued to push the buggy back so we turned around and asked the clerk to call a manager and Christoper the store manager came. He said if we go back and pay for the items he wouldn't press charges even though I had my receipt in my hand and didn't try to leave the store. Then we went back in the store to customer service to return all of the items and get our money back because we felt so scared and threatened. We then called the police and waited for them to come. We waited and then Rob the assistant manager came over and apologized and said we would be hearing from him soon. My mother became ill because of the stress from the situation so we had to leave to retrieve her medication ,and asked Rob to walk us to our car. I felt so scared and threatened by Brian the security guard I felt like he was racially profiling me !! I have been remolding my home for a year now and my mother and I come to home depot 3 to 4 times a week but we will NEVER come back!! Metro police department will quickly arrest you if the store calls and accuses you of theft on the other hand if you call metro to report being held and accused of theft metro don't assist in anyway. May Covid-19 update - I've had a couple of pickups here now and spent a reasonable amount of time masked, in the parking lot, and watching the place. During the past two pickups I've spotted a total of two employees wearing a mask or any face coverings. That's probably out of 10-12 in the parking lots. Honestly, this company does not deserve a star at all. I have been waiting well over a month for an appliance delivery that has been rescheduled. Reschedule rescheduled. That's the time I have not even gotten notice that they are rescheduling it today. I got an email saying they are not delivering again. This was after speaking with the resolutions team, who promised me that they would skip still my delivery and have it for me today, which was my deadline. did I get a phone call? No not at all. We're canceling our order entirely. I have already ordered the appliance to be delivered tomorrow by Lowe's. We ordered a refrigerator on June 24 and our nightmare began with these people. They were to deliver and install the refrigerator June 28. Their driver showed up to our home, did not call or even come to the door. He sat in his truck, too a picture of our house, forged our signature and fraudulently claimed he delivered the refrigerator. We complained hours before their delivery stopped., The driver lied saying we rescheduled the delivery and that he called. We have records to prove he never called. We insisted he return the with threfrigerator and he actually refused to do his job. He wouldn't come back out nor would they send a different driver. Then they tell us they can't get it to us for another 4 days., Unacceptable. Do you know wjen we called to make a formal complaint some associate Amy told us we should have been sitting on the porch waiting for him to show uip from 11:3) to 3:30 in 100 degree weather. If I had done a job like that at work, I would havve been fired on the spot. They wouldn't even reimburse us for $400 worth of food we lost because of that man. Lowes not only sold us the same refrigerator cheaper, they delivered it the next day. They took the old broken refrigerator, installed the new one in less than 30 minutes. Tell me why Home Depot can't provide that same service? They loast a customer, we cancellled that order and will never deal with their delivery service again. They forged our signature! The driver committed fraud claiming he delivered the item. People go to prison for doing things like that. That Amy associate told us it wasn't our business what was being done about taht driver. Anyone wanting a delivery from Home Depot: Beware. I don't recommend that you deal with these people until they change their business practices., I also reoirted them to BBB for what they did. I little birdie told me the cicadas in my backyard took a vote: If I didn't buy a lawn mower and cut my weeds, the next time I went out to water, they'd show no mercy. So I swung into Home Depot on Powell. It was sticky hot. The last thing I wanted to be buying was a push, as in no motor, mower. The second to last thing I wanted to do was assemble one so I decided to ask a favor. I grabbed one in a box and shoved the floor model into the cart beside it. I rolled up to Customer Service, and I admit, put on my most pathetic exhausted face - wait, maybe that's every day in the summer heat - then posed one ridiculous request: "Excuse me, could I buy the floor model? I don't think I can put one together and I've got to mow today." Gordon, a 12-year HD veteran, sauntered over, looked at the boxed mower and the assembled model, then said, "No sorry, we can't. But...(I just love buts) I'll assemble it for you." "Now? While I wait?" "Yep. Shouldn't take to long," he said, picking up the box and slicing through the taped lid. Joanna, another 12-year employee (man, HD must treat their people right), offered to help. Within 15 minutes, I walked out with an assembled push mower. No extra cost. No hassles. I've been going here for years and always had great experiences until lately. I went there expecting to see some patrons not wearing masks, even though there is a mandate in place and COVID-19 is (obviously) a huge issue here, but it was so much worse - almost nobody, including Home Depot staff were wearing masks. I can't believe the NIGHTMARE I've been having with Home Depot and NSD (their worthless delivery company)! I wish I could give minuses because they do not deserve any stars! Let me state unequivocally that I never yelled or used foul language during this entire time and multiple interactions, but as each interaction occurred my tone of voice became stern and conveyed my frustration. On March 14, 2022, I ordered a vanity from Home Depot. According to tracking #14698297, NSD received it for shipping on March 17th. It arrived in the Nashville area on March 21st, with a delivery date of March 24th estimated. I kept checking the status after that date passed, and it never changed. The system indicated that it was not scheduled. When I contacted HD, I was directed to contact NSD directly. I did an online status check and called NSD three times. They don't answer the phone, it goes to voicemail after a long hold. I kept checking the status, but there was no change, so I contacted HD via Facebook. I'm given a case number and told that the "online team has advised that I will receive an update no later than 4/8/2002." So, I thought it was taken care of until I checked the HD tracking system on 4/6/22 and saw the status "appointment has been rescheduled." What? Nobody made an appointment with me! So, I call HD, and after yet another lengthy conversation, the representative entered a discount "for my troubles," and connects with NSD. NSD informs her that they only have one driver, and she asks if I can help her get the vanity into the house. At this point, I said, "Sure, whatever it takes to get it delivered!" Today, the truck arrives, and the driver brings the vanity up to my sidewalk and asks, "Where do you want it?" Because I paid for white glove delivery, I say "inside the house." He responds, "I don't do that; I just put it outside." I told him again that I had paid for it and that I am willing to help, but he still refused. I then told him to put it on the back porch, which required him to reposition the box on his hand truck, and he dropped the box, so the vanity is most likely broken. I then call HD and inform them that I have a large box weighing more than 200 pounds on my back porch. I need you to send people from the local store to unbox it and then move it inside. They refuse and file yet another case, as well as a claim against NSD. I insisted on speaking to someone to get this box off my porch and in the house! I am now on hold with HD for over 53 minutes, been transferred three times, and it is still not resolved! The amount of time and effort I have had to expend just to get this vanity delivered, let alone inside, is INSANE! OMG, OMG, OMG after being on hold with HD for over an hour and being placed on hold because the representative was supposedly contacting NSD, he didn't come back on the line and suddenly the system was asking me to complete a survey about my call center experience. Avoid Home Depot and NSD, because they are the WORST! read more

We walked in needing a dishwasher. We spent a half hour choosing one without the help or offer of help from any associate. Denise finally came by and told us we would have to wait in a not very customer service oriented manner. There were four workers helping to disassemble and price a floor model for someone else and apparently no one could be pulled away. We are now on our way to Lowe's where we should have went in the first place. We were ready to pay cash for the highest end model they had. Apparently they do not need our business. Purchased a microwave, it stopped working, installation problems. George credited my account, Jan ordered me a new microwave, and Jan and Coreen quickly, efficiently, magically had an installer at my home within 2 days. The entire story is much longer, but because of Jan and Coreen it ended happily and thanks to George for staying with me through it all and getting me the rebate. The training for the associates is atrocious. There is no organization, system, or sense of accountability. We went to buy a patio set. Once we selected our set, we were bounced around from the patio section to the garden section to customer service then back to the the garden section. We literally got zero direction on how the heck we were supposed to claim the patio set we just purchased. When we finally were back in the garden section for pick up, they had pulled the wrong set. We've already wasted over 30 minutes by this point. Since we made our purchase, it's now been almost an hour and I am still sitting in my car, in the rain, waiting for patio set. I am disgusted at this whole process and the stores management team should be ashamed. Management needs to take a serious look at their training programs. Service (or lack thereof) like this is exactly why brick and mortar locations are going out of business and the Amazon's of the world are taking over. read more
