I would rather come to a small hardware shop like B & C than one of the big box stores any day.

We ordered a toilet from Home Depot for a home remodel and waited ... and waited ... and waited …read more.. for a month. They had promised to deliver the toilet in four days!! We tracked the order which was tantalizingly close to Nashville after a week, sitting on the outskirts of town in La Vergne for a few days. Why wasn't it moving? We probably should have driven down and swiped it. Because next, it traveled to Virginia to New Jersey to Dallas to Virginia again. It continued its cross-country adventure through various states before arriving at our house a month late, interfering significantly with our remodel schedule! After considering for years to switch to Home Depot's main competitor just 7,007 feet away, we finally had the last straw. After spending hundreds of thousands of dollars at this singular location for a decade's worth of remodels and being perpetually disappointed, the 2026 ice storm hit Nashville. Tenuously making our way over the ice and out of our neighborhood, we were thankful to find Home Depot opened with the rest of Cool Springs being a ghost town. We desperately needed a generator after losing power, and they were prepared with stacks of them by the front door along with space heaters and flashlights. We had a $500 generator rung up and asked the employee how to use it, being a style of generator we had never used before. This bear of a man his grumbled "Look it up in the Internet!" There were no other customers, there was no reason to rush us out of the store, everyone was desperate in the middle of an unparalleled power outage in Middle Tennessee, and the brusque attitude was completely uncalled for. Look it up on the Internet? HEY, DUMMY! We have no power, no heat, no hot water, no Internet, and no cell service. How do you recommend we "look it up" on the Internet. Needless to say, we shall never return.

And some things don't change. Biggest frustration for me is to go online to see if an item might be in stock. Then jot down the aisle and bin number and go to the store only to find out that the information I wrote down was incorrect. My solution -- simply check the store app and map....Same issue there: every item was off by at least one aisle. And when I checked for with a staff member. (Who was polite & congenial).... He said "I don't know where they have that today you might check...so and so area." Problem? Uh... I had already checked there and it's not where he guessed it might be. Check out? Another pain in the neck headache. First machine would not accept my loyalty number, so clerk entered it manually. Then the machine refused three times to accept my payment. Again, clerk who has been there, 10 years, said "it's always like this." Plans? Not coming back here too soon.

Went in during the Covid-19 pandemic in need of supplies for sand blasting. As you can imagine,…read moreexpectations were low. I figured my best bet would be to ask instead of wandering aimlessly in search of an empty hook where face masks once lived. I walked up to the service counter where a male and female employee were standing. Morgan greeted me and asked if he could help me. I responded 'probably not, im looking for masks.' The female just responded 'no' and went back to the computer. I looked at Morgan and asked if he may have an idea of something else I could use like a banana. He motioned me to follow him and told me we were going to check all the spots he knew of. No luck at the first spot, then he headed for a secret spot and FOUND ME TWO PACKS OF MASKS! If Morgan wasn't such an awesome and helpful associate I'd be eating coal slag for lunch. Assistance like that is more valuable than gold. Your business is extremely lucky to have that piece of mind, knowing that when he's working, your customers are being taken care of. Also, shout out to our cashier Todd! His pleasant attitude is contagious. I'll be driving from Nashville to Brentwood from now on to shop at Tractor Supply Co.

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding a customer service experience we had this…read moremorning at the VIP Petcare clinic inside Pet Supermarket on North Decatur Road. Yes Folks Tractor Supply owns VIP Petcare. We arrived with our two St. Bernards for their scheduled wellness services. Knowing that managing two large dogs in a crowded line can be challenging, we brought one dog inside while the other remained in the car. We had preregistered before arriving, as instructed. After waiting in line for approximately 45 minutes, with about six customers ahead of us, we finally reached the front of the line. At that point, I went to bring in our second dog. Amanda immediately and very rudely informed me that I could not do that. She then asked whether we had an appointment. I explained that we had preregistered but had never been given an appointment time. Amanda then instructed us to leave the line, return to our car, and wait for a text message before coming back inside. I asked her to explain why, after waiting in line for over 45 minutes, we were now expected to leave our place and wait elsewhere. Rather than providing a clear explanation, Amanda became rude, aggressive, and unprofessional. She stated that she was going to refuse us service because, according to her, I was not looking at her while she was speaking. At the time, I was trying to safely manage two St. Bernards in a crowded line. She repeatedly demanded that I look at her, despite the obvious challenge of handling two large dogs. I have been bringing my pets to VIP Petcare for approximately 12 to 15 years, and I have never experienced this level of discourtesy or confusion. The entire process was contradictory: we were instructed to preregister, then wait in line, and after waiting for nearly an hour, we were told to leave the line and wait for a text message because this was supposedly the "new process." If this is indeed the new procedure, I would appreciate an explanation of the purpose of preregistration and why customers are still expected to wait in line only to be told to leave it. More importantly, I hope you will address Amanda's conduct. Customers should be treated with respect, especially those who have been loyal to VIP Petcare for many years. I would appreciate a response explaining both the current check-in process and what steps will be taken regarding this incident. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I wish I could give negative stars. Extremely disappointing experience with the tool rental…read moredepartment at the Antioch Home Depot. I rented a Mantis XP tiller for a gardening project, and while the employee started the engine in-store, they never actually checked that the tines worked. Once I got out to my project site with no phone service, I realized the tiller was completely unusable, the engine ran, but the tines would not spin at all. I returned the equipment 12 hours early, explained the situation calmly, and even showed multiple forms of proof/video that the machine was not functioning properly. Instead of helping resolve the issue, I was basically accused of breaking it, so I wouldn't have to pay the remaining balance, and told there was "nothing they could do." They repeatedly asked me why I didn't call and let them know that the equipment was broken. I first of all did not have service and second of all it shouldn't be my responsibility to let you know that your equipment is broken. The best offer was only 10% off for equipment I couldn't even use. The fact is, they were assuming that I didn't know how to work the machine and somewhat assuming that I had broken it. Frankly, I was offended that they would even say that when I had approached so calmly and nicely for what could've been a very normal situation I'm sure this has happened in the past. I walked in, hoping to just speak to someone and explain my experience and immediately was treated like I was up to no good and trying to scam them out of money. What made the experience worse was the lack of knowledge at every level I spoke to. I waited 30 minutes for a manager to tell me that the ground was too hard for a tiller to run, however, in the video I showed him of the tiller tines not spinning the tiller was not even touching the ground. Frankly, it was an embarrassing show of a lack of knowledge amongst so many different employees. I question how they're even able to keep their jobs. The entire situation was handled poorly from start to finish. I understand rental equipment can malfunction, but the equipment should have been properly checked before being rented out, and customers should not immediately be treated like they caused the issue. I've rented from other Home Depot locations, especially Cool Springs, and have never had an experience this frustrating

Cashier said she couldn't look up transaction with bc it was purchased too long, 2 months ago. Policy said 90 days. Then she tried to throw other excuses and pretend like transaction couldn't be looked up. The couple that was in other's business earlier walked over to me and backed up the cashier saying "you have to return to original store to look up transaction with receipt".....both employees agreed that even w/ receipt u have to go back to original Lowe's bc only that Lowe's can see purchase n refund. Then the older male employee asked me "why u want to refund?" As if it's his business lol. Bunch of employees hovering over trying to be nosy and backing each other up without making sense. I have a receipt, I have my card. Like why aren't they able to look up when I provided them the receipt? I called CS and they said stores can look up 6 months of transaction, mine was only 2. Cashiers here are not trained and scanned the wrong barcode once then pretended to say only original store can look up purchases. Funniest thing I've heard. This Lowe's needs to train their employees better.
