It's the home depot. Great for lumber, great prices and such... This store is pretty well maintained and has a fair amount of stuff, but for the full selection of things, you'll need to go to the home depot in Newark off Elkton road in suburban plaza. What galls me most about HD is that not any one store has everything you need, so if you're framing and building a room, let's say.. Newark has studs and drywall and you can rent the drywall hanger. However if you want to buy tools and corner tape for the edges, you'll drive around from HD to HD hoping to find the one brand you're looking for. It really irritates me that the folks in HD aren't more helpful before hand and offer to find it at another store before you drive around hoping to find what you needed. read more

I went to HomeDepot to return some battery's I purchased from a different HD, but I was told by the manager Leonard Williams of store # 1603 2000 Peoples Plaza Newark, DE 19702 that he will not do the return. He told me to go take them to the HD that I purchased them from and he's not doing the return. he said under his discretion he's not doing the return. I'm 100% positive that you can return anything you buy from any HD and return it to any HD, but even with a receipt and on my pros account, verifying that I bought these batteries, I was still denied. I contacted corporate to file a Complaint against him. He told me Corporate would tell me the same thing that I cannot return batteries to any Home Depot besides the one I bought them from so I called a different Home Depot and asked and they said they take any returns from any Home Depot. not to mention it's on their recording when you contact and call them you can return anything with N 90 days that is the policy to Home Depot. This is the second time having an terrible encounter with Home Depot employees. The first time was the manager told his Home Depot employees to lie on me and my brother and to say we were stealing Tools and called the police on us and had us put in handcuffs in the back of a cop core come to find out they rewound the cameras and we never left the store and never took not one item we purchased everything had receipts and proof of everything we bought . Be cautious dealing with this HD. I will be moving forward with taking actions against these HD workers and HD. read more

Don't ever do a project and expect to get efficient, expedient, or quality service from Home Depot. Purchased a 48" vanity from HomeDepot. It took 2 weeks to come in and when installed discovered the underbelly of sink was damaged. Simple! Get the countertop replaced. NOT!! The vanity was already installed but we had to uninstall and wait another two weeks for it to be replaced. I think not! Return and DELETE!!! read more

Not crazy about this Home Depot location at all. I recently visited to shop for carpet for my whole house (approx 3500 square feet) and had several product questions. The representative in the carpet area had her nose buried in a computer screen and completely ignored me. The second rep tried to be helpful bit told me the product guru would be back in 30 minutes...I ended up leaving. I returned a week later and finally found the guru that could not answer my questions completely and contradicted himself several times attempting to make a sale. I decided to go back to Lowes and schedule the measure. Although my last carpet experience with them was terrible, their staff is knowledgeable. read more

I went into Home Depot today to get a piece of wood that needed to be cut for my closet and it needed to be cut. I asked a group of 5 men that were all having a morning chat and one of them responded that I should go to the opposite side of the store and that I will find a machine there and that I would need to do it myself. I go across the store and found it, and being the handy person I strive to be, I gave it a couple of shots, and I really wanted to figure it out but I just couldn't figure out how to handle such a huge cutting machine, I couldn't even turn the thing on. I felt a little embarrased, but anyway, I decided, let me just ask for help. I look around and find a young employee near me and asked if he might be able to help me figure out how to turn it on, and he said, "Someone in lumber should be heading their way over now". I was surprised he couldn't just quickly show me once, and he just stood on the end of the aisle starring out in the air while I waited on the other side for this 'lumber guy' to show up. No one ever showed up so I said, I guess I'll just have to figure out a way to cut it at home, and no one tried to step in and help. So I took it to the register and took it home to figure out a way to cut it there. I couldn't believe I left this store without it getting cut. I was going to give 1 star but the lady who was at the self check out was overly sweet when she told me to have a nice day, so I'm giving it two stars because of her. Thanks Home Depot, I thought ya'll would be like Lowe's cutting it up for me, I just needed 1 cut on it, we did the measurement. I was in need of a new refridgerator and ordered one online from the closest Home Depot to me - Glascow de - with installation for Thursday 11/9/22. It was delivered by a lone delivery person who claimed he could only leave it in my driveway. As i was calling the store to ask a few questions about this, I was hung up on 2x,, then I finally reached the "manager" who had many excuses (like it was around lunch time and many emplyees were out-they are mostly part timers so there staffing must really - be an issue-) and tried to over talk me about water lines, cords and such . No water lines were to be involved. While I was on the phone the delivery driver drove off. I chatted with HD online and was told the fridge I purchased was NOT a major appliance and they could NOT install it. - humm- ok?.. So I reordered it for Saturday the 12 with threshold delivery. I received a call on Sat. from the same delivery person telling me even with threshold delivery he was only able to leave it in the driveway?. I told him to take it back to the store, and again contacted an assoc thru chat ( store is useless ) and was told 3-5 days for the refund. I have now been charged 2x for this fridge and its the 14th with no refund. I did reach an assoc thru there 800# this eve and was told my refund for one will be Wedn, and the other fri. We shall see. This is the WORST Home Depot I have ever dealt with, and I am a former employee of another. I will NEVER be purchasing from this HD again. but I still have a Lowes and an 84 lumber very close. I am just terribly disappointed with this HD. They have lost a customer forever. PS You tube helped me fix my old one and its running great again. read more

Home Depot sucks! I ordered shower doors, and waited three week for delivery. On the last day of delivery window I called to see when I get them, and was told they don't know. I cancelled and ordered from Lowe's for $100 less! Home Depot doesn't let you cancel another 45 minutes after you place it! I had to wait for the delivery window toclosetoget my money back! Went there for paint with the husband and we received the best service from Pam in paint. She was friendly and attentive and so helpful.

We ordered a skylight through this Home Depot, paid in full when ordering on 2/7/2020. Order ticket states that estimated time to deliver skylight to this Home Depot was 2/25/2020. We received an email from Home Depot that the skylight was completed and was being shipped as of 2/21/2020. Stopped in at this location on 3/3/2020 and was told that our skylight was on/in a trailer that was to be unloaded that evening. On 3/6/2020, still no skylight! After calling twice, first time we were disconnected or hung up on, we were told it was to be delivered to that location sometime that same day. Even asked to speak to Matt Thompson, manager, and was told he was not in the office that day. 40 minutes later, amazingly, we were emailed that our skylight was at the store! Coincidence? read more

Do not buy appliances from here. Let me preface by saying the employees at the Glasgow store are friendly and helpful. However, Home Depot uses an outside contractor to deliver appliances. This contractor provides a delivery date and time frame for the appliances. The delivery contractor neither showed during this time or on this date. I later went to the physical Home Depot store to inquire as to when my refrigerator would be delivered. The customer service person called the delivery contractor and was told the contractor had stopped by my house and had attempted to call me during the delivery window. Both of these statements are blatant lies. I was home all day and my phone log shows no incoming calls. I asked if I could just pick up a refrigerator from in store stock. But Home Depot does not keep large appliances inventoried on site. The entire operation is outsourced via this contractor. So now I have no refrigerator for another four days at a minimum. A complete failure and rip off. read more

Do not visit. Rented a tool from this location for a whole day and the tool broke within the first hour. The manager (Curtis) said because we didn't call the store before we drove the 45mins back he was going to charge us for a half day. Both Bill (the tool rental guy) and Curtis accused us of lying and trying to cheat them. Meanwhile I have to go rent another tool from somebody else and waste another Saturday finishing the job because they gave me a busted one and charged me for it! read more

My fiancé ordered a planter that came opened and rusted. He was on the phone for 2 hours with customer service trying to discuss the best way to get a new one. They wanted him to bring it to the store and get a new one curbside pickup; however, he works until 6:30pm and is unable to pickup. We suggested I pick it up or they deliver a new one. He had to give up his lunch and break in order to complete this phone call. Then, the delivery driver is told the wrong address, was told it was a giant order and comes with a delivery truck and doesn't bring a new planter. We call the store and the lady we spoke to was very rude. She basically told us that what we were told on the phone Tuesday was wrong, and we would have to order a whole new planter. So we are waiting for our refund and will not be shopping at this store. We understand everything that is happening right now, but there is no need for complete rudeness when we are being cooperative and giving business. read more

WE WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HOME DEPOT (HD) FOR COUNTER PROJECTS OR COLONIAL MARBLE (CM) FOR ANY PROJECT. We partnered with Home Depot (HD) for our counter top project. We didn't realize HD partnered with Colonial Marble (CM) for this type of work. We don't understand how HD would partner with a company, such as CM that does not value its customer satisfaction. Especially given HD is very customer focus. We've always had good experiences with HD and it was never a question to partner with them but if these are the type of vendors they partner with we will definitely rethink partnering with them in the future. The end product was not what was promised, we still have not had any resolution. Our new granite counter tops is 1/4" shorter than the existing tops, there is a chip in our new granite island top and scratches in out sink, all done by CM. The customer service at CM is atrocious. To be fair HD has been understanding and have been trying to work with CM to get our concerns resolve but from July to date nothing has been done. We don't understand how CM is allowed to treat HD customers in such a manner and HD allows it. We've provided sufficient time to HD to get some resolve to our concerns but we have not had it. They were responsive up to about three weeks ago, when the representative we were dealing with went MIA. The amount of time we've spent on trying to get this resolve is like having another job except there has been no resolution/satisfaction. CM essentially told us we should have confirmed the measurements and have everything in writing before we sign the documentation. We were under the impression if you employ a company to measure, install and provide granite they were the professionals, apparently not if now one has to confirm measurement. read more
