While there is a closer location for us, this one offers tool rentals. As I shopped, I kept encountering knowledgeable, and helpful employees throughout the store. Later in the day, we had a problem with the paint I'd bought. I called the store. Manager EJ was so nice. He said I could bring the paint back to exchange even though it was custom tinted and even reset our rental time to make up for the time spent dealing with the paint. I will happily drive an extra 15 minutes to this store knowing that they seem to really care about providing excellent customer service. read more

I just assembled a two drawer file cabinet I bought from HD. It's from China of course but it was just what we were looking for. And it does look great but it's lousy. The drawer hardware is cheap and stodgy to operate. There's a 1/16 gap on the right between the drawers and the frame and a 3/8 gap in the left; makes it look cheap and unbalanced. Basically, it was a very bad investment. In my opinion, anyone buying any kind of furniture at HD is CRAZY! read more

My family and I wanted to make a fire pit for the holidays. We stopped by around 7 to get the supplies. We were unsure so asked for help. Luckily a service member named Tyler "Tiger" was there to help. Not only did he go out of his way to get us the supplies we need, but helped us pick the right concrete slabs and additional supplies. Tyler was an incredible help to us, especially for how late we showed up before closing. Not only did Tyler help us but he also had an outstanding attitude the entire time. Tons of holiday spirit and was a very kind person. Hope to see this gentleman around and many could use him as an example of what service should be like. After moving from NJ to FL, we made several trips to the local HD during our first week. Every employee there was more than helpful and went out of their way to make sure we found just exactly what we were looking for. They also made sure we were buying the right product, sharing their own experiences with us. I definitely believe that HD is more a consumer's shop over Lowes, and their prices beat Walmart's on most things. It is crazy!! read more

Worst customer service ever. Scott the customer service manager is a gem to say the least. I will not ever step foot in the North Port Hone Depot. Order on line for delivery while at the store and he cancels my order because there is no stock. Drive back to the store and show him one of the items he could not find . Complete joke for customer service. Think I will send Scott a bag of Richards for Christmas just to show there are no hard feelings. Best of luck shopping at this location. read more

Had to put in a review of how well we were treated at the Home Depot in North Port. We had a return that didn't get processed when we originally returned it. After finding out we hadn't been issued a refund we returned to the store and ended up working with Lorna in customer service. We can't say enough about how knowledgeable and personable she was as we worked through the issue. She took the time and effort with us that in the fast paced world we live in was incredible. We have had many great interaction's with employees at Home Depot and love how helpful they have been but she is a step above. Really a great experience Cindy B read more

Disappointing customer service. They had everything we needed, but when it came to assistance? The two nicest people were the plumber shopping down one of the same aisles and the cashier. Hubby stood less than 2 feet from two employees who saw him standing and staring at the merchandise for about 5 minutes while they sat and talked and completely ignored him. Until I finally walked up and said, "Excuse me. Sorry to interrupt your conversation, but he needs help. Could you please help him?" The unspoken being, "Am I seriously having to interrupt your personal discussion to get you to do your job?" While they gave good general advise, it was direct, and to the point, but no feedback and definitely no walking him to the correct aisle. Thankfully, that plumber customer was there to give him solid recommendations. Is it any wonder that Lowe's crop up everywhere? All they have to do to win is give some semblance of customer service to succeed. read more

The women at a return register named Joy (the name does not suit her at all) I had my receipt I was under 30 day return policy but she was just Not happy she was so snappy with me I'm guessing she had a bad day I told her I was entitled to refund because the item I bought was on sale and i purchased it less then 30 days prior. Their policy (I researched) states that but she kept asking me who told me that I was entitled to a refund on a difference in price that I can get refund under 30 days. She went and called a manager over the phone it looked like she got an ok she went on refunding me but still with same nasty attitude. I've never felt so low in a very long time. My husband and I are builders and shop there very often but now I'll choose Lowe's instead. I hope she gets fired read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. We have been on a 5 month cross country trip in RV and came back to Florida 2 days ago. We got into north port and found Home Depot because our generator was acting up. We parked on Far East side of parking lot where we saw semis parking overnight and started to diagnose our issue, now keep in mind there were at least 50 or more spaces around us, we were completely out of the way. We went in and I spent $700 on a new Ryobi gas generator. We assembled it behind the rv and plugged up to make sure it worked and decided to camp for the night and leave the following morning (as we did in over 20 Home Depot's across the country on our trip) and were greeted by the "manager" and a woman that said they received numerous complaints about us being parked there....complaints? How? Needless to say it's Lowes from here on out and we will be returning the generator when we are back in the area, way to go North Port Home Depot for being the least hospitable in the country! read more

I have been going to this Home Depot for 3 years. Today they had an issue with their cash resister system and they could not accommodate gift cards and had issues with processing credit card purchases. The only time when customers were notified of their issues was at checkout. The staff was so inappropriate in discussing this issue with the customers at checkout. At no time did the management or staff think of accommodating the customer. Their approach was deal with it. I have never experienced this from this store. Not sure why you need management if they can't direct staff and operations when challenges happen. They could have been prepared to offer customer to come back once their system is fixed to use gift cards Also instead of being dressed in Halloween outfits standing around they could have had someone notify customers as they entered the store. The saddest point is they felt no responsibility to the customer to their issue. I would hope that Home Depot would expect better. Without the customer you are do not exist. read more

Ive had a pressure washer fail after a month and only using it 5 times to clean the pump stoped giving pressure. I even purchased an extended warranty for the pressure washer and home depot said they have to send it out for repair, then say that it was my fault that i didnt freeze guard it, Manual clearly says freeze guard it for winter or for storage for over 9 months, ive had the machine for a month. They refused to fix any damages, How disappointing. read more
