This particular Home Depot is located on East Colonial Drive just east of Semoran Boulevard (436). It sits back a bit from the road, so I almost passed it by as I was headed there on a Friday night with about twenty minutes to spare before they closed to pick up a few padlocks. Like most Home Depot locations, this place is huge and it would be easy to get lost wandering the aisles, seeking that elusive product. But one good thing, you can always seek out a Home Depot associate in the orange apron and they can point you in the right direction. Since it was close to closing, the associates seemed more intent on getting out of work and I really can't blame them. Still, they directed us towards the aisle we needed (I believe it was aisle eleven) and we had a slew of padlocks to select from. We made our choice in a somewhat speedy fashion and we're out of there before closing with our newly purchased padlocks. I will say that the neighborhood might not be the safest at night, but they had a mobile trailer with security cameras in the parking lot to monitor the activity. All in all, I will give this particular Home Depot four stars overall. read more

Come here all the time. They have helped me through remodeling my condo for the past couple of years. Home Depot definitely has everything I need for home repair. My review is on the paint department. I greatly appreciate the young lady at the counter. I would have spent hours trying to find the right color. She took my paint sample I brought from home, put it into a machine and it took a profile of the color and made the paint! So cool! 5 minutes later I had a can of paint that matched the color of my wall! Don't go anywhere else for paint!! The only reason I gave 4 stars is for the poor handling of the check out area. They only had self checkout, which is understandable at 7p on a Sunday, but the lady "directing" the line wasn't paying much attention and was doing a crappy job. Unpleasant encounter at Returns a little over a week ago. I give 2 stars because I am a HD junkie and love shopping here. This incident brought them down from 4 stars. I bought a $611 Suncast storage shed in a sealed container. When I opened it up in the afternoon to put it together, I saw damaged goods, plus a unit partially assembled. And all the hardware was missing. I was upset and went immediately to Returns. They distracted me for 20-30 minutes after I told them I wanted a refund. This was so they could put together a "case" against me. BLUF: They denied the return because they had photographs proving that the box was sealed when I bought it. So what! All I know is what I saw when I opened it. They insinuated I was a crook, so I left and dealt with the manufacturer who at least gave me another bag of hardware. I'll bet the manager and staff high-fived one another in the break room over their great victory. Lesson for all: Ask to open and inspect "sealed" cardboard containers before you buy the item. Another lesson: Calm down before you go to Returns. My agitation with the situation did not help and could be why they did not offer an exchange. Ridiculous that they thought I somehow received a pristine set of parts, then replaced them with funky ones that I could "sell" back to them. I have spent thousands of $$$ at HD in the last year and a half with only 1 returned item. In the end, so what if they think I'm a thief and a liar. God knows the truth. He sees everything. Hit or miss on the customer service department as it tends to be a bit challenging to find help throughout the store, and if you do... it may be or may not be the friendliest. This lack of consistency can be a bit frustrating as you never know what kind of experience to expect when you visit. Overall, I usually find everything I need by searching online, the results are pretty good as you get the aisle and bin number of the item. Those guys from Tesla can be a bit annoying, especially when they pretend they work for the store only to try to pitch you. read more

The stores use to offer this event in the stores but Covid changed that, now you can reg your child & as of yesterday that's not even required. Around the start of second week of month you just call ask for the free DIY Kids kit. Make sure you ask for the free one b/c they do sell these kits. We purchased GE model number PFQ97HSPV0DS Serial number HZ340044N from Home Depot on April 19, 2024 and have had nothing but problems with the machine. We already had one switched out only a few months after owning it and now the second model does not work. We have taken/Lost over a weeks' vacation in order for them to troubleshoot the first machine and now they want us to start taking days off to fix the second machine. I cannot continue to lose vacation time on their defective product. I offered to them a solution of sending techs on a Saturday which they refused and asked them to please replace this unit with a full-size stackable washer and dryer which they also refused. I keep offering solutions and all they offer is me to lose money taking the days off to have their technicians come out. It will start with a technician coming out looking at it and stating they need parts which than leads to me taking another vacation day for them to come back and change the parts out. This same scenario has happened 5 times with the first machine we purchased. This machine is a lemon and should not have been released without much further testing. We keep calling and they keep coming up with excuses like you purchased an extended warranty not a replacement or exchange warranty. If both machines they supplied are lemons, they should allow us to change it out for something that works. Going weeks without being able to wash clothes is not a satisfactory solution. All this has happened in less than a year's ownership of this worthless product read more

I asked a guy in the area and he basically dumped me. I gave a F what I needed wasn't even polite about it. So after the guy showed up after 30mins wait he refused to cut my blinds. Popped in for a hammer for my daughter, a new homeowner. A whole wall of hammers but most were pretty heavy. Fortunately, not one but 2 people were ready to help. Chuck and Rick were kind, friendly and found me 2 choices: a 10oz hammer $5, or a basic tool set including a small hammer for $25. Solved. Looking for some work gloves, I found plenty of M, L, and X-L, ...but no SMALL. Well, they're ready for Christmas! ... lots of lighted ornaments, even Christmas unicorns and pigs in tutu's. It was quite amusing to see some unusual blow-up yard ornaments (see pic). All in all, a good experience - all neat and orderly with good selection of most anything you need. read more

We have been to this location several times since moving back. It's easy enough to get into the parking lot and the inside is always well organized and the layout is easy enough to figure out on the whole. However, the customer service is a touch lacking. We have been on the lookout for several specific things to help redo a few pieces from Craigslist, and the employees didn't seem to know where to direct us or to have answers on how to do it. While we are pretty good at DIY on our own, not being able to find the aisle that drawer pulls / knobs are on seems a bit off for employee knowledge basics. That being said, they are all really friendly and they do walk you around until they find it. So, that is a plus that keeps us going back to this one - well that and close relation to the new apt. Overall: B Employees seem to need a touch more training on location of items, but their friendly nature keeps this from being too big of a deal. Easy to find parking, and decent pricing / options for DIY or home improvement. read more

Gave 1 star, because it was needed to be able to post the review. I visited two different Home Depot stores to rent a concrete mixer. Store 0266 E Colonial and Store 6869 Orlando Se. Be conscious when you rent equipment from them. You will pay for the equipment and when they are to deliver it, the equipment is broken and it doesn't work. You found the equipment is broken, because you asked for it to be checked. They tell you they have another mixer at another store, you go visit the next store, and guess what, to find out after you pay, that the equipment is broken too. You ask them for a credit on your wasted time, and the answer is there is nothing they can do. It seems to me that the only time that is worth something is theire time. Contractors be aware that the employees they have do not do equipment verification when the equipment is returned to the store. You will need to call and ask them to verify the workmanship of the equipment if you do not want to waste your time. Time wise I spent 4 hours and I was unable to deliver the project in one day, thanks to the mediocrity of Home Depot employees... Management included. ... read more

I really want to address this issue: The young lady with glasses working behind the paint, on April 9th, 2020 at 5:45pm, needs to be retrained on polite customer service. We walked out waiting for her to assist us. No this was not me and the person I was with being impatient, this was her lack of kindness for the paying customers who even help support her having a job, that caused us to leave. We walked in and I stood by the "desk". I was standing near the only place where she can enter and exit. My father went to get the gallon of ceiling paint we needed while I waited to be assisted. I needed a color match since Home Depot doesn't carry Sherwin Williams. She was too busy talking with some man who even told a customer he didn't work there he just shows up everyday because he helped her with colors.... He wasn't there buying anything but just walking around aimlessly. She walked past me going in and out down the aisles and has yet to look me in the eyes as if I was an inconvenience to her. Not once in the 15 min I was standing there did she ask if I needed help or even "I'll be with you in a minute". My dad is over 60 years old and was tired and I work in customer service. This honestly was a huge disappointment. We got very upset. My dad left the paint cans on her "desk" since she chose to ignore us the 15 min I was standing there and walked out. We went to Lowe's on 436/Lake Margaret immediately after. As soon as we walked over the paint area, the man standing behind the "desk" greeted us with a simple "hello". So easy and kind am I right? We told him since he carried the paint color and brand we needed, could he help us and he said "certainly". He helped us with the type of paint and the ceiling paint we were looking for and we were out in less than 10 min. A kind gesture goes a long way and this Home Depot store just lost out on a sale. Train your people better so this doesn't continue to happen. This isn't the 1st time either. My sister in law had issues with the staff there and their less than friendly helping attitudes. We don't know much about hardware and need help so we can fix our homes properly. read more

I used to love going to this particular Home Depot. With all of the home improvement projects I used to do, I was there at least twice every weekend. Recently, I stopped in to get a key made. I found the key kiosk, but there was no one around to help me. I spoke to two workers who both tried to locate someone to make the key for me. After 3 overhead pages and 20+ minutes of pacing and waiting, I finally went to the customer service desk. It took another 5 minutes before someone showed up. When an employee did show up, she nearly gave my original key to someone else. All in all, it was a bad experience that makes me want to find another home improvement store to patronize. read more

Most of the items came in without issue, but there were some that were delayed and no one was able to tell me where it was or when it would arrive. Additionally, the system wasn't allowing me to return some of the tiles I had ordered and I had to settle for a price reduction on something else I bought there. I probably wasted 5+ hours of my life just standing there while the customer service workers tried to figure things out. Ed and Alberney were extremely helpful on separate occasions and helped correct some of the issues and locate some of the missing items. read more

This Home Depot has all of my hardware store needs. I've even stopped in a few times to check out the items in Gardening. The store is quite large. I am usually in and out of this store extremely quickly. I've even stopped in with my dog - how fun! Not too big of a fan of the location though. The plaza it is located in seems to be a bit off. Getting out of the plaza is extremely difficult. There is a large parking lot, which never fills up so I can always find parking. Selection is a bit pricey. read more

I dropped in today to pick up an order I placed online & my experience was nothing short of amazing. When I got to the order pick up counter, Leslie assisted me right away. Everything I ordered was ready to go on a cart for me & she even helped pull it out to the truck. I appreciated her help since the cart was pretty heavy. She even sent over someone to assist us with loading everything onto the truck. When I left, I realized there was one thing missing from my order so after dropping everything off, I headed back to Home Depot. Leslie noticed I was back and when she heard about the missing item, she went to find it right away. Not only did she retrieve my item, but she asked for my order number so she could give me a $20 refund for the inconvenience and driving back. A little later, she even called to leave a message to confirm she refunded the money. I was completely impressed & very appreciative of her spectacular customer service. Standard Home Depot. This one is a bit hidden though, it's on the south side of Colonial Drive (50), look for the PetSmart, it's right behind there. They have lots of rental equipment like backhoes and trailers if your project needs a little help. If you come on a weekend, they've got the Sabretti hot dog stand and sometimes there's people by the turn in looking to help on a gig for some cash. Not sure how reliable they are but it's an option if that works for you. Staff seems to be mostly up front, so if you need help, ask when you walk in. On a weekend, they are busier, there was a bit of a wait to get help with wood cuts and paint, but there is a hack saw table with measuring tape by the trim isle if it's something quick you can saw yourself which is what we ended up doing. read more

I thought maybe the first terrible delivery experience was a fluke, so I held off from writing a review in anger/frustration. I'm typically a very positive reviewer, but now it's happened again and it's clearly an issue that the store needs to deal with (and that's part of what a Yelp review is for- to alert the store to a problem as well as to let consumers know what may happen when they patronize the business). The first instance we bought a tub from the store and organized to have it delivered (they didn't have it in stock immediately). It took three separate deliveries before they sent over the correct tub. I'm not sure how this happens as there are specific item numbers, but it backed us up significantly and created so much frustration when, on two occasions, the shipment was incorrect. This second time we ordered two sets of french doors at the store to be delivered. The two sets were delivered but one was damaged (immediately noticeable) so we had them leave only the one set. They said they'd try to be back that afternoon as this was the morning, but they never returned, nor was there a courtesy call. After calling to reiterate that we only had one of the two doors needed to move forward in our project we waited another few days. We specifically asked them to write in the message to the drivers that should no one answer the door, they can leave the french door in the garage- which would be open. The folks at the store assured us that they would include this information. Alas, you guessed it, they came by in the few hours we weren't home and left without dropping off the door. It has now been 2 weeks since we needed the door. We've called, talked to managers, gone into the store, and done everything we could to try to expedite the really inefficient and flawed process but we are still without this second (paid for) door. Surely there must be a better way. It seems like a huge breakdown in communication, but the consumer has to suffer and who knows how many unnecessary trips the delivery men make due to the miscommunication. The saving grace is that the folks who work in the store are always very helpful. But, should I need to get another large appliance that requires delivery, I will not be going to Home Depot. read more

We have had hit and miss service at this location -- some days there are super knowledgable and helpful people whereas some days it is impossible to track someone down and constantly brushed off. Their staff also always seems new and inexperienced in their department. They do have everything I need and at a decent price so that keeps me coming back. However, research is needed to make sure you get the right product. I have managed a fair number of DIY projects from their online tutorials I sometimes drive up to Lowe's which is a bit further from me because they're always around and help me load my car which helps a lot when I am carrying ceiling tiles or soil out to my car. read more

We purchased a washer and dryer from Home Depot. They need to be stacked due to space limitations. Unfortunately, Home Depot will be out of these kits for a few weeks. We said that we can buy the kit somewhere else and the salesperson thought this was a good idea. When they were delivered, the Home Depot people refused to install them because the kit was not purchased at Home Depot. So they took them back. And we have no washer or dryer.
